I look back at her with wide eyes, "really?" She laughs, "Yes Carter. This wasn't a joke you are actually going to Grey, and Cameron's personal house!" "Mrs. Tessa I don't know what to even do when I get there!" She laughs again, "You are so adorable you have been non-stop talking which isn't bad so why are you getting nervous now?" "BECAUSE THIS IS GREY ALEXANDER HOLDEN!" I tell her trying to contain my excitement. This causes her to laugh harder, "Carter he is just like you. He is just a normal teenager." "No he isn't!" I tell her. "Oh boy, yes he is trust me! I have lived with him for awhile. " "What if he doesn't like me? Will he be like other celebrities? I overheard other people saying that they met their idols and they were horrible to them. Be honest is Grey going to be like that?" She doesn't answer right away and I feel my feelings deflate. "Honestly?" "Yes please." "Grey is one of the most kind hearted human beings on this earth. He just recently flew a friend out here that was in a really bad situation and he lives with the guys. Plus he is also Grey's social mediaest as I call it. Well in reality he is his social networker. You will also meet him today his name is Kaiden and he is a doll. Trust me if Grey disappoints and is a snob I will handle him!" she says making a muscle with her arm. I laugh, "Thank you. I am so nervous you don't understand! Do you think he will hate me?" She looks at me with confusion, "Why would he hate you?" "Tessa you're super sweet, but you don't have to act like you don't know. You know I am on a scholarship and the only reason I "won" this contest was to keep the funding going and they felt bad that the gay scholarship kid gets bullied and they can't do anything to stop it." I tell her fighting back the tears. "Carter, Grey won't care about any of that he cares about people in general." She says trying to reassure me. "All the more reason I shouldn't be meeting him at all. Look at me, I am below average person...." "That's bullshit Carter, if I have learned anything about you it's that you are the sweetest, most honest, funny and curious teenager I have ever been around. Ma'am." I tell her feeling stupid all over again. "Look we are here!" She says. We stop at the gate and she says something to the guard and he lets us in. I have butterflies in my stomach, the car rolls up the drive way and comes to a stop. "Are you ready?" I shake my head no, "I don't think I can meet him I am going to like freak out." She giggles, "Come on crazy boy." She gets out of the limo, and I follow her out. I can smell the ocean and it feels amazing here. I look up at the house, it's so beautiful, we walk up the steps and into the house. We walk into the room and there is a brown haired boy I have seen in pictures with Grey. "Hey Kaiden, where is Grey?" She asks. He looks up and I catch the fear cross his face, but it leaves just as quickly as it appeared. "Tessa what's up, and honestly it's 8am where do you think he is." Tessa lets out a growl, "He is going to give me gray hair before my own child!" "Hey man I am Kaiden!" he says walking over and placing his hand in front of me. "Hi, I am Carter." I say grabbing his hand. "How was the ride?" "It was good, so you're the person who takes care of Grey's social media?" Kaiden blushes, "Yeah that's me." "That has to be so cool!" "Boys I will be back I am going to drag his ass out of bed!" Kaiden just laughs, "Good luck! So are you excited about tonight?" "YES!" I say a little too excitedly and I blush. "You will love it! it's fun, you can hang with me I will be taking pictures and things for this umm...well blog that we are launching tonight." Kaiden tells me. "That's so awesome!" I hear someone bounding down the stairs. "I want cereal!" I get excited cause I have watched every interview and I know his voice, I almost faint as he comes into view. "Well get your lazy self some!" Tessa says behind him. "But it's the first day of tour!" Grey says in a whiney voice. "Your hands aren't broken! Hell get Cameron to cook!" "NO!" Kaiden and Grey say in unison. "Hey I take offense to that!" Cameron says coming out of another room. "Dude you burn water!" Grey says. "Shut up I do not!" "You kind of did." Kaiden says. "Haters. Do not believe them! I am Cameron!" Cameron says walking over to me shaking my hand. I can barely speak, Cameron Drake is the next hottest teen in the world next to Grey...."I'm...Ca..Carttter." I sputter out. Cameron flashes a bright smile, "dude it's cool you can relax trust me we are just fools. Him being the biggest one of them. I look over at Grey, whose hair isn't as long as it used to be, but it's kind of shaggy and it's gotten a lighter tint I guess from being outside so much. He gives me a lazy smile and I feel my knees go weak. "Hey man! Welcome to our humble abode!" he says. Walking up to me and pulling me sideways into a side hug. I want to melt right there. I watch as Kaiden takes a picture, "This will be perfect to post on Instagram!" Grey leads me over to the couch, "So what's up Carter?" I open and close my mouth like a million times, I feel like a stupid fish because I have no idea what to even say to him. I feel myself getting red in the face, I touch his shoulder. "This is crazy." He laughs and it's not one of those fake ones he laughs hard. "Nah man it's not. So you ready for today?" I just nod my head not trusting myself to speak. "Okay well we need to get going." Tessa says. "But I'm hungry." Grey complains. "Not my fault you're lazy. Grab an apple we can eat later but we have to go!" "I can't I am sooooo hungry!" He whines trying not to smile. "That's why I packed you a bacon egg sandwich so we aren't late." Kaiden says handing Grey a tinfoil covered sandwich. I watch the exchange, and I feel a little jealous that they are so close. Grey gives him a smile, and turns back to me. "Dude I would be lost without my best friend!" "Okay boys let's get going!" Cameron says coming back into the room. We go to get up, and Kaiden motions me to slow down. "You, good buddy?" I stutter out a yeah. "Hey Carter is going to help me grab the bags real quick!" Kaiden says. I follow him up the stairs, and there are actual bags to carry. "So you and Grey are best friends?" He shrugs, "I guess so. He is a really cool guy, so you know he is super excited to spend the day with you. He loves his fans, all of them, no matter who they are. I know you come from a messed up back ground and its ok man it will eventually get better. Trust me a few weeks ago I thought I would never see the end and then out of the blue here I am." "Thanks. He really isn't annoyed that I will be around all day?" He laughs, "No man. He loves every opportunity to get to know his fans, not just as fans but people." (Grey's POV) Making our way to the venue, I get to know Carter a little better he finally is able to actually speak full sentences around me. "So do you play any instruments?" I ask. I catch Kaiden's glare, and I just smirk. "Yeah I can play the guitar. It's kind of embarrassing but I can play the whole Green eyes song of yours." "What? No way really?" I ask. "Yeah! I love that song, it must have been meant for someone really important to you." "Yeah it does man." I tell him. "So are you just a super Grey fan, or are you secretly a Cameron fan too?" Cam asks. Carter blushes. "I love your music too. Just your music is a bit heavier than I really like, but I like it a lot!" he says fumbling over his words. Cameron just laughs, "It's cool man as long as you at least like me!" "Oh I do!" "Oh when we get to the venue I'm going to get you a copy of my new album, and take you to the merch table and let you get whatever you want man." Cameron says. "You don't have to do that." Carter says. "Pfft, and let Holden show me up over there? No way dude!" "You are such an ass Drake!" I tell him laughing. "At least it's a cute one!" he tells me winking. "You've seen his ass?" Carter asks blushing. "Plenty of times, Cameron is almost a nudist. Guess that's what happens when you share a house with each other though." I say laughing. "Hey I always gotta give a show. Never know man, never know!" he says winking as I roll my eyes at him. Carter seems so lost that he doesn't know what to believe. "Ignore them, their bromance is ridiculous." Kaiden says turning his attention back to the phone. I slide over, "Whatcha doing?" "Working." He says looking up at me. "Can I see?" "No!" he says moving the phone away from me. "Why not?" He laughs, "Because you will tweet out the license plate number of the car or something insane like you usually do." I just smirk, "Well I gotta do something." ------------------------------------------------------------------- I feel someone shaking me, "What?" I ask. "Dude we are at the venue." Cameron says wiping the sleep from his eyes. "Holy shit we all fell asleep?" "Yeah man." I move over and gently shake Carter, "Hey dude you gotta wake up." He bolts up right, and I can see fear and confusion in his eyes, "I'm sorry I didn't mean too!" he says in a panicky voice. It pisses me off that this happens so much, I'm not pissed at him just at his home life, and the school I donate money to. They will be hearing from me soon, I will make sure of it. "It's cool Carter, we're just at the venue." The limo drives us inside the building as the door opens up. I knew it would be Dan, "Sup guys." "Sup papa bear?" I ask getting out of the car. I shove my sunglasses on, despite being inside the entrance is still so bright. "So we have some press to do." "What about Carter?" I ask. Dan strokes his beard. "Maybe I can postpone the press. Also Cameron your brother is in your dressing room." "Haiden is here?" Cam says getting excited. "Yeah he's been here for awhile." Dan says. "So you do actually have a twin?" Carter asks him. "Yeah you wanna come meet him, and then we can go get you some merch and all." Cameron says getting more excited. "Do you mind Grey?" "Nah man go, I am going to do a little press then I will stop by and grab you!" "We need to get you dressed." Dan says as I follow him. "Come on man!" I tell him. "You know how it is Grey; we need to get this done. Plus we have to get you on the Jet tonight you have to be in Las Vegas early tomorrow for a radio show, after that you are going to be on strict scheduling for the next few days. Also there are some big names wanting to be guest listed for Vegas and tonight's show. You need to approve that as well, here is your dressing room. Forget changing we need to get you into the press so you can relax and go over the set list tonight." "Dan! Dude I am still waking up!" I tell him. "Well wake up lazy ass!" he says smiling. "Hey is my dad here yet?" I ask. Dan's smile kind of falls, "He won't be able to make tonight's show. Something came up and he has to take care of it. He said he will call you before the show." "Typical." I mutter. "But Zeke and Janet are here." Dan says trying to cheer me up. "Cool." I say and shrug. We enter the meeting room, and I am guided to a table on a stage and there are a ton of people waiting. "Good morning! We can start as soon as Grey is seated." I wave, "Morning everyone." "Grey! How do you feel about tonight? This is the first show of your very last tour." "I feel great about it, I am really excited." I tell the lady. "I heard your brother is not performing tonight, there are rumors that he was caught up in some wild parties on the last tour, is there any truth to that?" The guy with a grey beard asks. "Actually there is no truth to that well, the partying stuff, Zeke is here tonight but he is not performing. He just came off his first big tour, and I wanted to give him a few days to rest up. The partying allegations are completely false." I say smiling. "You have two sold out Garden shows in New York, one of them being the last show. That must put a lot of pressure on you." "I am a little nervous. I mean it's the Garden it's insane to have two sold out shows there. I am ready it will be the biggest show of my life." "What's next for you? I have in my notes from a source that you moved a lover into your house?" The bald headed man asks. A rush of heat runs up my neck, I laugh it off. "I have no idea who your source is but no I am single. Cameron Drake and I share a house, we did have a friend move in who will actually be working for me on this tour." I look over at Dan, and he looks like he is pissed. "We have time for a few more questions." "Well my source claims that your friend named Kaiden is gay. Is this a publicity stunt you are trying by reaching out to the LGBT community so you show tolerance?" The bald headed man asks. "Kaiden is my best friend, and whether he is gay or straight does not make a difference to me. He is still the same guy and no this is not a publicity stunt of any kind. He is my best friend, he wanted to work on the tour and I told him sure." "So you avoid the question, is he gay?" "That's enough questions, sorry but Grey has to go now." Dan says. He leads me out of the room. "What the fuck was that Dan?" "I'm sorry Grey. I will be handling this at once. They were given a list of questions they could ask that was not on there." "Find him, stop him from going to the actual press." I tell him. I stop off at my dressing room, and I see Zeke and Janet talking. "Hey." "Hey baby." Janet pulls me into a hug. "Sup dude?" Zeke says hugging me. Zeke has gotten taller, "How was your tour?" "It was so awesome; I wish I was playing with you tonight." "Yeah but man you need your rest this is going to be a wild ride!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------- I walk out onto the stage and the crowd erupts, I smile and wave. "What's up LA!" "I am so glad you could all make it out tonight! My new album, drops tonight. I want to thank Cameron for coming out on tour with me. Let's get the show started!" I launch into my first song, and the crowd is so loud I can hear them sing every word with me, and I can't help but get teary eyed. It's not only this song but it's the second and third song they sing along with me. I stop for a minute and look into the crowd. "You guys are so amazing! I want to play a new song for you all!" I start strumming the chords on the guitar and the lights go out. I see everyone start holding their cell phones up and the whole arena is lit up from the fans swaying back and forth. It actually makes it that much more special, because this was a heartbreak song I wrote when I thought I would never hear from Kaiden again. I hit the chorus and the fans are loving it. The song ends and they go nuts with applause and I can't help but cry. "Thank you all so much! I can't tell you how much that song means to me, and to be able to share it with you all here tonight and feeling the outpouring of support from you all. I love you! " The stage crew brings out two stools. "So I want to play an old song for y'all for my last song called Green Eyes, before Cameron and I hit the stage to release our collaborated album. I have had the pleasure of spending all day with one of my biggest fans who won a contest, and well I got to learn that he knows how to play this song on guitar. So I had the amazing idea to play it acoustically and bring him up on stage to play it with me. Come on out Carter!" I see Kaiden push him out, and he looks scared. I walk over and smile. "Come on man." "Let's all welcome Carter!" I tell the crowd as they all scream for him. He blushes. He sits next to me, "You good?" I ask leaning over to him. "I am so nervous this is so crazy!" I give him a nod, and he starts playing, he wasn't lying he knew how to play the guitar and he nailed the song, I never felt so happy in my life. I see Kaiden come out on stage and get some good pictures as well as footage for the website. When I hit that last verse I look directly at Kaiden and he knows I am singing this for him. I give him a smile, as Carter hits the last chord. I stand up and take a bow, and give Carter a side hug. "Thank you LA, I will see you in about thirty minutes!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sorry for the delay in updating it has been pretty crazy I was injured at work, so I am dealing with that and school is insanity!
