Baby Blue -- Chapter 2
"I Survive in one world...But I live in another"
Chase found himself picking up the note Eric had only dropped at his feet
moments ago
It said:
My house, 4148 South Houston -- Music, dance, drinks, and food -- 7 pm --
12 pm Be there...get noticed...do it for me, please?
Chase at first crumpled up the note in has hands and looked frustrated...
The only friends he ever really had in his life were Lisa, Marcus, and
Adam!...but are they enough?.. .he secretly want so bad to be in the In
crowd, but he also doesn't..."well I guess...first party... it is my
junior year, and I can take my friends...my life..with me.".he thought as
he justified it to himself
Chase found himself uncrumpling the note and sticking it in his
pocket...then he walked off and out the hallway...
(Josh's car, 10 minutes later)
Josh: so, let me get this straight dude, the party is gonna be at your
place for sure?
Eric: damn straight. (smiling.)
Josh: no rents?
Eric: best part of it..sumthin about vacation, I told them they need it,
...they cant resist my pleading if it helps them
Josh: damn man, you are such a dog! Hahahaha.
Eric: wouldn't you know?........hey Josh?
Josh: yeah man?
Eric: Can I ask you something?
Josh: as long as its not to do your homework, pick up a chick, help you
with your chores, watch cheerleaders with you, do sumthin to get the cops
called on us, or beat up someone for the fun of it...shoot
Eric: fucker...anyways...well, man...its this Chase Adams kid...whats got
you so fixated on him... do you wanna kick his ass?
Josh: What?? What do you mean by that?? What did he ever do to me??
Eric: well he did make you look like an idiot in calc. today
Josh: no..i don't think so...he didn't want to be up there just as much as
I didn't, but with matthews, what can you do?
Eric: idk man, you gotta keep a name on yourself
Josh: no eric, I have a name, and I didn't get it by beating up the nerds,
so why start now?
Eric: ahh...no reason...so your not fixated on him at all
Josh: ahh...it was his shirt that caught my eye, the colors, really out
there, that's all
Eric: ok..ok..
Josh: why? Are we jealous??
Eric: should I be?
Josh: lol...you are ridiculous dude!
Eric: Why Is that??
Josh: for one, I'm into girls...and two, you're my best friend, I could
never replace you, and as big of an idiot as you are, for some strange
reason I can't figure out,...I guess...I love you man...
Eric: awww...for real...hahahaha...are we gonna get mushy man
(josh just eyed him for a moment) (eric began making weird sloppy kissing
faces and noises) (josh started laughing)
(5 minutes later they pulled up outside of eric's house)
Josh: and this be your house man
Eric: it was a lovely date josh
(josh started laughing hysterically) Josh: what date you moron!?! It was
just a ride home!
(they both laugh hysterically now)
Eric:...alright man, catch ya later?
Josh: Sure thing!
(eric grabs josh's hand and kisses it) (josh pulls it away quickly)
Josh: EEww! Man goober! Goober of eric! Lysol!
(they both laugh again) (eric goes to close his door)
Josh: Call Me!
(eric nods and closes his door) (josh takes a second to look seriously and
full of thought out of the windshield) (then he drives off)
6:30 P.M.
(we see a screen shot of the TV)
We see that Anya is driving while Willow sits in the passenger seat holding
a bunch of papers. The car screeches around a corner.
WILLOW: I don't even get how we made that guy, because, wow, advanced! (She
continues looking through the papers)
ANYA: No one made him. He must have been trapped in that crystal, and you
released him.
WILLOW: *I* released him? No, this was definitely a "we" thing. Or, or a
"you" thing! I-it definitely feels like a you thing.
ANYA: Look, just find the reversal spell. And hurry! Look what he did to
that lamppost!

(marcus, lisa, and chase's eyes are glued to the tv)
Chase: hahah...willow and anya are such moron's sometimes
Marcus: I Can't Believe they let out a Troll Demon!!
Lisa: that thing was Huge!! And, and Ugly!!
--
We see a lamppost lying on the ground, broken in two.
WILLOW: I'm trying. Put the top up, the pages are all blowy!
ANYA: Well, I don't know how to put the top up, I only just figured out
what the left pedal does. (turns to smile at Willow) It makes us stop!
Anya slams on the brake and they slow down with a screech. Willow grabs the
side of the car for balance. Anya resumes driving.
WILLOW: You don't know how to drive? Why didn't you say you don't know how
to drive?
ANYA: Well, I couldn't know if I could until I tried, could I?
They exchange an angry look.

Lisa: HaHaHa! Oh that's grand ( does an anya impression)
Chase: oh that is sooo classic! "look at me strange witch, I can't drive,
you made a huge demon that I had no part in after stealing stuff from my
store, ahahaha!"
(they all laugh hysterically)
Marcus: "You Can't Drive?!?"
(they laugh even more)
--
WILLOW: This is very, very bad. There, there's an ogre on the loose-
ANYA: Troll.
WILLOW: What?
ANYA: Troll on the loose. Now hold on, I'm gonna press the right pedal
harder. (smiling) I expect us to accelerate.
She presses on the gas pedal and they both lean back in their seats as the
car speeds up. Willow looks very angry

Chase: so guys, how were classes today...anything eventful??
Lisa: not so much...I didn't feel too good, so I skipped 6th and 7th
periods.
Marcus: LISA!!
Lisa: Marcus, don't even give me the lecture, or I'm gonna make it so you
carry pms too!
Marcus: eesh...that time of the month??
(lisa gives him a frustrated glance)
(the doorbell rings)
Chase: Adam's Here!! (Chase Gets Up And Runs out of the room)
Lisa and Marcus's Perspective:
Marcus: what's up with him?
Lisa: I don't know...he's been like this...for awhile...haven't you
noticed?
Marcus: of course...but what do we do?
Lisa: are you saying it's a bad thing?
Marcus: no, that's -- that's not how I meant it...like do we let him know
there's a suspicion,should we even have a suspicion, what if he isn't?
Lisa: well, first off...are you ok with it if he is?
Marcus: why wouldn't I be? I may not be that way, but it's Chase, its our
Chase...and I'm not giving him up over something stupid like that...how
about you?
Lisa: I'm totally cool with it...i-if he is...and I wanna help him out with
it, ya know...show him its ok...
Marcus: but what if he isn't...
Lisa: i-I don't...I don't know yet...
Chases Perspective:
"Oh my god, adam's here...oh...breath, chase breath...oh how do I look, Cut
it out Chase!,ok make a pit stop to the bathroom"
Mom: Chase, honey, can you get the door?
"right, shit! Door!, adam, at the door...well here goes"
(chase opens the door)
(there stands adam in a black button down with a wife beater on underneath,
1969 blue jeans,and black shoes to match, and he is wearing a silver cross
around his neck)
"H-H-H-Holy crap...Oh my god...he looks hotter then usual, I think I'm
Melting"
Chase: A-Adam...Hey! (waves hand and smiles foolishly)
Adam: Hey Chase...what's up? (smiles again)
"god I love it when he smiles, I don't see why everyone thinks he's a jerk,
he's really sweet once you get to know him, oh well, my privelage"
Chase: N-N-Not much...watchin buff...with marcus and lisa
Adam: that's awesome...(stands for a few seconds, looks around, smiles
kinda shyly)Hey ahh Chase...I'm no vampire...but it would still be kind of
rude of me if I-
Chase: Oh..My God..Duh..Come In!..hahaha sorry, my brain is literally
falling apart and out of my ears at the moment
(Adam walks in and steps behind chase, and puts his hands on Chase's
shoulders)
Adam: well Chase, if ya want...I can help pick it up and put it back
together in there for you
(at this, Chase turns beat red, and almost forgets to breath)
" ohh man, if you only knew Adam...if you only knew"
(Adam lets go of chase's shoulders, and walks toward chases room)
Adam: the gang in here?
Chase: Oh...yeah..
Adam: Cool.
(The Bedroom)
(Adam enters the room followed by Chase.)
(Lisa is in one of the fold up chairs, Marcus is on the computer, Lisa and
Marcus exchange brief glances)
Adam: Hey guys, what's up?
Marcus: not too much man, you?
Adam: notta, havin fun?
Lisa: oh yup, tons...my Adam, don't you look cute in that shirt?
(chase gives her a look, then takes it back right away, adam smiles)
(Lisa and marcus both notice, adam doesn't seem to)
(chase flops over onto the bed)
(Adam looks over, smiles and sits on the foot of the bed)
Adam: thought you guys were watchin buffy...
Lisa: Oh!...we are..paused it, didn't know you were coming (gives chase a
dirty look) (chase turns kinda pale at this)but its ok, we can restart it
if you want
Adam: Aight...that'd be cool
(marcus hits the remote, which restarts the episode)
(they all sit back and begin watching the episode)
1 hour goes by...
(marcus is on the floor with a pillow, lisa is curled up in her chair with
a throw blanket,adam has his legs off the bed and is laying his torso next
to chases legs, chase is dozed off on his bed
the second hour goes by...
lisa re-enters the room from her shower in pajamas, marcus leaves to take
his shower, adam puts a blanket on a still sleeping chase, chase smiles in
his sleep
the third hour goes by...
lisa and marcus are both in their pajamas and watching tv still, chase is
awake and has his hand on adam...who is now sleeping under the
blanket...chase takes a few seconds to look at adam
"my god, he is something else, he is such a masculine and protective
male...but when he is sleeping,I remember that little boy I grew up
with...people are always talking about miracles, well here lies one, he
will stick up for anyone or anything that's in trouble, he's even willing
to risk his life to help protect the innocent... I don't see why everyone
thinks so horribly of him, they just don't know him, they don't know him
like I do..."
Chase looks up as if on instinct to see lisa looking directly at him...all
curled up in her blanket,
with those knowing eyes of hers...
Chase: oh...Lisa...um...i-I was just thinking...popcorn!! You hungry??? Cuz
I sure am!
Lisa: well I-
Chase: Great! Ill just be right back...with that popcorn!!!
(Chase got up to leave the room)
"oh hell no! your not getting off the hook That easy kid!" she thought as
she got up and walked after him
(Josh's Bedroom)
(josh just laid back on his bed)
"there...I did it...i finally did it...its done...over with...*sigh*"
(his entire room was now spotless, parts of it even shiny)
(his gameboy sp sit on his desk, with a couple of games out...as well as a
star trek book, and a bottle of FIJI water, half gone)
(he had that same serious look on his face, in his wife beater and a pair
of athletic shorts)
(he took off his irish caddagh ring and put it on his desk, and flipped off
his computer screen)
"everytime I close my eyes I see him...back in class...he's so afraid of
me...and I don't know what I am towards him...i've never felt this way
before...i don't understand!! Its driving me crazy!...oh well...maybe some
sleep will help"
(he got up and turned out his lights, then he undressed in the dark, and
slipped under the covers...then all he could do was sigh
(chase's house)
(chase hurriedly walked into the kitchen and flipped on the light)
(lisa was right on his tail)
Chase: lisa, im fine, im a big boy I can make popcorn all by myself!
Lisa: so you can just butter it all up?
(chase gave her a look of extremity)
Lisa: you know I saw the way you looked at him
Chase: there was something outside of the window that caught my eye
Lisa: uh-huh just like that same something that made you almost drool when
adam walked in!
Chase: I was Soo not drooling over adam!
Lisa: oh you know you were too! Especially when I complimented his outfit
and you glared at me!
Chase: that wasn't my glare...that was my...my...my...something look
(lisa just folded her arms up and glared at chase as he looked away)
Lisa: I don't see why this has to be a big deal
Chase: then lets just drop the subject
Marcus: or...you can just come out and tell us the honest truth.
(both of them gave surprised looks when they realized marcus was there)
Marcus: I mean, atleast I thought we were the friends you trusted...
Chase: but you are, both of you, I love you!!
Lisa: then..why the hiding?
Chase: i-I don't know what your talking about
Marcus: sure ya don't...chase, that excuse stopped working 2 weeks after I
met you...
(chases shoulders slumped, he became teary eyed)
Chase: fine...you guys want the big ordeal...fine...i-i-i-I'm Gay! There!
Damnit! I said it!
(lisa and marcus just looked openly at him)
Chase: now you guys can be as mad as you want at me...
Lisa: over what? The fact that your gay?
Chase: well yeah...and that I didn't tell you sooner
Lisa: well you big dork (gets teary eyed) (runs over and hugs him) you can
tell me anything chase! I love you!Your one of my best friends!
(marcus walks over and joins the group hug)
Marcus: chase, we do really care about you man, and tonight you got a get
out of jail free card, just don't hide things from us again
Lisa: right! Cuz if you do...well...you wont have to worry about male
breeding anytime soon
(chase almost goes pale)
Marcus: now I don't know about you two, but popcorn sounds good, and I'm
hungry!
(they all laugh and joke around as they make popcorn)
(Josh's bedroom)
(he's writhing and stirring in his sleep...sweat drips on his face)
(he mumbles in his sleep...then we see what he is dreaming about)
(flash: chase walking down the hallway in a hunter green shirts and blue
jeans)
(flash: josh trying to catch up to him)
(flash party)
(flash: chase turning around and smiling at josh, josh stops and looks
relieves and smiles back)
(lights go out, laughter is heard)
(chase looks horrified)
Josh: Chase!!
(he tries to get past the crowd, but he cant do it, and all he can see is
chase in pain...)
Josh: Chase!! No..Please!!! Chase!!!
(end of part 2...part 3 is on its way...)
