This story is a work of fiction. Names, characters and events are made up
by the author and if there is any resemblance between the story and real

I did get some feedback and I did work on my punctuation and grammar for
this chapter. Hopefully I will get better with the flow of the story and I
will try not to jump around as much. Thank you for the kind words and I'm

 The first paragraph was supposed to be at the end of the first chapter,
but it got cut off when I copied and pasted into the email. Sorry about

"What the fuck is going on here?" Marlon asks. With a pissed look on his
face.


Zach looks over his shoulder and when he sees my older brother Marlon, he
jumps up and tries to cover himself with the blanket, but gets tangled up
and trips and falls on the floor. My brother Marlon is built like a truck
and has been working out since he was 13.  I don't blame Zach for getting
scared. That and not being out to anybody but me.


"Marlon I thought you were coming back tomorrow." I cover up the best I can
using a throw pillow.


"That's obvious." He laughs. "I left early because my roommate had a family
emergency and needed a ride. You should have seen the look on your face."


"So you're not going to tell mom and dad?" I ask.


"I'll spare you the embarrassment and tell you what they are going to
say. Ben there is nothing wrong with having sex as long as both people are
willing and you are being safe. We want you to keep in mind that there're
other people in this house and you should keep it out of the common areas."
He says with a stern voice pointing his finger at me.  He must have gotten
this speech before. "Where is Liam I went to check on him, but he wasn't in
his room?"




"He is in my room asleep." I answer.
  "Just don't wake him up and clean up after yourself." He walks into his
bedroom on the other end of the basement and closes the door. I look down
at Zach and he looks up at me like I just asked to solve a math problem.


"Are you sure he isn't going to tell?" Zach asks standing up.


"I don't think he will. We are just lucky it wasn't one of my sisters." I
say.


 Zach looks at the clock and he has to get home before his parents get back
from dinner.  We find his underwear and make our way up to the kitchen to
find his shorts. He puts them on and I walk him to the door.


"Does this mean we are like dating?" I ask.


"I think so, but I don't really know if I want to tell anyone yet."


"I knew it was too good to be true." I say and go to shut the door.


"No, it's not like that, I swear. It's just my mother... she doesn't really
agree with being gay." He says.


"Oh, I see I have a boyfriend, but I can't tell anyone." It comes out more
bitchy than I mean it to.


"Please don't be like that, Ben. I just need time to think about a way to
tell her." He puts his arms around me and gives me a kiss on the lips. "I'm
going to tell her I promise."


"I'm sorry I just don't want to be a secret," I say.


"I don't want to be either, but it won't be long." He kisses me again and I
give him a pinch on the ass and he jumps.


 He leaves and I turn off the lights and lock the door. I clean up the
basement and brush my teeth. I start to think about the situation. Zach's
mom has been a little different towards me since I came out. His dad was
always nice to me. I have always had a little crush on him, but not in a
weird way. Well, maybe a little weird. I turn over and I fall asleep in no
time.




I wake up the next morning with a jolt something cold hitting me in the
face. I sit up and wipe my face on my shirt. I see Liam holding a bowl in
his hands.


"Sorry I wanted to surprise you." He says.


"It's ok buddy." I say and take the bowl from him and it's almost empty. I
look at my floor and there is a trail of frosted flakes leading out the
door.


"I dropped your juice on the stairs." He says and puts his head down.


"It's ok Liam, thank you." I eat what's in the bowl."Come on, let's make a
big breakfast for mom and dad." I say, getting out from under the
covers. He hops down and runs out of the room.


 It's a good thing we have hardwood floors in the basement. I grab a towel
from my bathroom, I clean up the juice and the mess on the kitchen counters
and take out the things for omelets. I crack the eggs in a large bowl and
let Liam mix them up with a fork. While he is doing that I cut up some
onions and peppers. I hear a car come in the driveway and it's my
parents. I tell Liam and he gets off the chair and goes and gets us some
pants to put on from the laundry room. He comes back just in time we get
our pants on right when they walk in.


"Wow, what are you boys cooking?" my father asks.


"We are making you and mommy breakfast." Liam answers.


"It looks great I'm going to run and take a quick shower." he takes off his
suit jacket and heads up the stairs.


"What did you two do last night?" my mother asks, sitting at the breakfast
bar.


"We went to get ice cream with Zach and he watched movies with us and had
pizza." Liam answers with his mouth full.


"Sounds like fun." Marlon says coming into the kitchen.


"Marlon your home!" Liam runs over to him.




"Hey buddy." He grabs him and turns him upside down. Ned comes over and
starts to lick Liam's face and he starts to laugh.


"Alright, you guys sit down before you get hurt." My mother tells them.


They sit down and I make everyone an omelet. My dad comes back and we sit,
eat and talk about our plans for the day.  After we are done with my mother
cleans up the kitchen and I go to my bathroom to take a shower. After my
shower and brushing my teeth there is a knock on my door. It's Marlon.




"Hey Ben, can I talk to you for a second?" he asks.


"Sure" I reply. He walks into my room and sits on my bed.


"I just want to tell you I'm not going to tell and to ask you if this is a
real thing or not."


"Well, now that you ask I don't know any more. He said he likes me and he
did break things off with Lisa. He still wants to keep it under wraps for a
while. What do you think?"


"I don't know, I think Zach is a cool guy, but I have no clue what he is
going through. It might not be as easy for him. I just want you to be
careful. I'm here if you want to talk."


"Thanks man." I give him a hug and e leaves my room. I grab my keys, wallet
and phone and I head out the door after saying goodbye to Liam of course.


I get in my jeep and head to pick up Kate. On the first day of summer we go
to the mall to get some new clothes and eat lunch. After a short drive I
pull up to her house and she is standing at the end of the driveway with
her thumb out. I've known Kate since we were in first grade. She was the
first person I told I was gay and she is like another sister.




"So tell me what happened after you hung up." She says getting in.


"I'm not telling you anything." I say driving off.


"Oh come on, you know I won't tell anyone." She tries to give me puppy dog
eyes.


"That only works when Liam does it." I laugh.


"It was worth a shot. I'll just guess what happened then. Zach came over to
borrow a cup of sugar and he ended up getting something sweet. No, that's
not it. He came over after he broke up with Lisa and he needed a shoulder
to cry on and one thing leads to another."


"How do you know he broke up with Lisa?" I ask


"Everyone knows about it, she made a big deal at the party last night."


"What did she say?"


"He will come back crawling I'm the best thing to happen to him. You know
the usual crazy ex sit."


"Did she say anything about where he was?"


"Oh yeah, she got up on the coffee table and yelled My boyfriend kicked me
to the curb and is hanging out with Ben Walters. You know the gay one?"


"You're an ass." I say, pulling into the mall.


"Yeah, but you love me." She grins and we make our way inside.


We hit the usual stores like American Eagle and Hollister and then we go to
the food court. We get subs and sit and eat.


"Do you think I'm stupid to think it will work?" I ask.


"No Ben I don't. But if it doesn't ill be here." She answers. I like the
fact that I can ask her anything and she knows what to say.


"Hey guys." I look up and its Zach and his friend Todd.


"Uh, Hey Zach." I reply.


"Ben, can I talk to you for a second?" he asks.


"Sure." We walk away from the table and away from the crowd.


"I was wondering. Do you want to hang out tonight?"  He asks.


"Ok, that would be cool you can come over tonight."


"Cool. One more thing can I have your number?" he whispers.


"Ok."


 I give him my number and we walk back to the table. Kate and Todd are
talking and when we get close they stop.


"I'll see you later guys." Zach says and they walk off.


"What were you two talking about?"


"Nothing." She takes a sip of her drink, we eat in silence.


 We finish our food and decide to go to a couple more stores,During that i
get a text from Zach saying he cant wait to see me. Kate had to leave to
watch her brothers so we left. I drop her off and drive home.




Walking in the door I hear my sisters Jennifer and Alyssa fighting. They
have been at each other's throats since they learned to talk. They are
twins, but couldn't be more opposite. Alyssa is really cool and Jennifer is
a pain in the ass.


"Bunny you're just in time its getting good." Liam grabs my hand and pulls
me into the living room. My father is standing in the middle of them and
they are yelling at the top of their lungs at each other.


"What did I miss?" I ask sitting on the couch.  "I was watching TV with
Alyssa when Jennifer came in and turned the channel. When I told her to

After about five minutes they calm down and they each put money in the

and he put it in and went to play.  I go down to my room and put my new
clothes away and clean up my room a little.




 An hour later, I get a text and it was Zach asking if he can come over. I
tell him yes and he replies saying he is on his way. I do a quick armpit
check and I'm good. It wasn't long before I hear footsteps coming down and
Liam comes in my room and leading Zach by the arm followed by Ned.


"Zach came to see you Bunny." he announces.


"Thank you Liam." Zach comes in and he looked nervous." Can Zach and I have
some privacy?" I ask.


"Ok, I'll go help dad with dinner are you staying Zach?" he looks up at
him.


"What are we having?" he asks.


"Burgers and hot dogs on the grill."


"Sounds good to me little man." Zach says,


Liam runs out of the room and I close the door behind him. I sit on the bed
and Zach sits next to me. It was awkward for a minute and Zach was the
first to talk.


"I have been thinking about us."


"What do you mean?" I ask confused.


"I want to get to know you more."


"What do you want to know?" I ask.


"Anything." He replies.


"Ok, my favorite color is red, I like scary movies and reality TV I'm
allergic to bees and I am terrible at math. What about you?"


"My favorite color is red and I like scary movies too. I'm not allergic to
anything and I'm kind of good at math." He answers.  "See we already have
things in common." I say and he smiles.


	"One more thing, I want to make sure that the sex thing is good for
both of us and I don't want you to do anything you don't want to."




"That's sweet." I put my hands on his thighs and lean in and give him a
kiss on the lips.


 His shoulders relax and he kisses me back. His mouth tastes like mint I
can tell he brushed his teeth before he came over. I break off the kiss and
sit back.


"Whoa." He sighs.


He puts his hands on my head and kisses me again. After a minute he moves
them down to my chest and he pushes me back gently so I am flat on my

under the blanket.I look over at him and he gives me a wink.
