Recap-


The story starts with Ben in the cafeteria on the first day of school and
he gets a surprise and when he tries to leave, he is stopped by a pat on
the back and he turns around and gets punched. In the nose.




Rewind two months. On the last day of school Ben helps his hunky neighbor
Zach when he is out of gas when Zach's girlfriend Lisa doesn't help him.


Later that day Zach comes over to pay him back after breaking up with his
girlfriend Lisa and ends up staying to hang out with Ben and his little
brother Liam.


When Liam goes to bed Ben and Zach watch tv and Zach reveals his feelings
to Ben which leads to some fooling around only to be caught by Ben's older
brother Marlon home from college a day early. Being the cool older brother,
he is, Marlon doesn't say anything to his parents.


Zach tells Ben he is scared to tell his parents because of his mothers view
of gay people, so they decide to keep it a secret. Ben can't help but a
little disappointed, but he understands.


Three weeks into their secret relationship things are going great and Zach
decides to tell his older sister Natalie. Ben is right by his side when he
does and things go great. They take their relationship to the next level.


The morning after Ben's parents Neil and Aimee sit Ben down and tell him
they know about Zach and him and that Zach's dad knows also and he is ok
with it. Neil decides to have the talk with Ben


Later that day Zach sits down for dinner with his parents Robert and
Beth. Zach's mother tries to talk Zach into getting together with Lisa and
that leads to an argument with his father and she ends up leaving early for
her trip to her sisters.


Zach's dad lets him know that he is there if he ever needs to talk. When
Zach is lying in bed and after some thinking he gets up and goes to his dad
and tell him he is gay.


Zach's dad is completely ok with him being gay and wants to be happy and
tells him not to worry about his mother yet.

Zach's point of view.






"Zach time to get up." My dad says, knocking on the door.


"I'm up." I groan.


I look at the clock and it's 12:30. I get out of bed take a quick shower
and throw on some cargo shorts and a plain gray t shirt. Walking in the
kitchen I see my dad standing at the counter making a sandwich.


"Hey Zach." He says.


"Hey dad, I just wanted to say thank you for last night."


"Don't mention it Zach you are my son and I love you." I felt myself
getting choked up. He comes over and hugs me.


"How much time did you take off work?" I ask.


"A week." He puts a sandwich in front of me.


	"Cool." I am really looking forward to hanging out with him.




	After we eat some lunch I take Sam my golden lab out to run around
then we head out to look at cars. We narrow it down between a Jeep Wrangler
and Ford Mustang and I told dad, I would be happy with either one. On the
way home, we stop at the store to get some groceries. When we are in the
store I see Lisa, I try to avoid her but she corners me.


	"Hey Zach, how's your summer going?" she asks.


	"Good." I answer.


	"April's end of the summer party is coming up. Are you going with
anybody?"


	"I'm going with the guys and a few other people."


	"I was thinking we could go together." She puts her hand on my arm.


	"I don't think so Lisa." I say and try to walk away. She grabs my
arm and turns me around.


	"Come on Zach We'll have fun." She says.


	"I don't think so."  I reply.


	"Why not?" She squeezes my arm and digs her nails in.


"I broke up with you for a reason. " I shake her off and go find my dad.




	We finish shopping and we head home. We get everything put away and
dad starts dinner. We spent the rest of the day hanging out watching TV and
talking. I notice my phone is dead, so I go to plug it in and check if I
had any missed messages. I had 5 they were from Lisa, asking if we can
talk. I text her we have nothing to talk about and to stop texting. She is
starting to freak me out. When dad comes in my room to say Goodnight I
decide to show him.


	"That is a little weird, Zach, but you did handle it the best way
you can. If it keeps happening, let me know, Ok?"


	"Alright dad, Goodnight." I text Ben Goodnight and I love you and
he texts the same. I get into bed and I fall asleep in no time.


	The next morning I go for my run and when I get back dad is on the
phone with mom and they are arguing. I just ignore them and go take a
shower. I go back down and find dad in the living room.


	"Dad, I know you took a week off to be with me, but why don't you
have a night to yourself?"


	"I don't know Zach."


	"Come on, why don't you go have a night in a hotel or something and
relax? You deserve it." He really does. His job does pay well, but it can
be a little stressful.


	"Ok, but only one night." He gets up and makes a call and finds a
room for the night.




We spend the afternoon watching football and he leaves at about 6:00. I
text Ben and see if he wants to come over and he said yes and he will be
over in a few hours. I quickly clean up my room and by clean I mean throw
everything in the closet.


A little after 8:00 I hear the doorbell ring and I answer the door and I
let Ben inside. He is wearing a tank top and a pair of sweatpants that

"I think this is the first time I have been in your house" he says.


"It's the same as yours but we don't have bedrooms in the basement."




We live in a subdivision and all the houses were the same, but we didn't

"What did she have to say?"

going with a group of people." I leave out the part about the texts.

	"I completely forgot I bought you something for our three week
anniversary." I get off the couch and I run up to my room and get the box.


	"I thought we said no gifts." He says.


	"No, I said you didn't have to get me anything." I hand him the box
and he starts to open it.


	"I can't believe you got me something." He smiles.


	"It's not much." I say.


I got him some of his favorite things, like his favorite Carmex and candy
and snacks.I did get him a stuffed bunny with a football jersey on and it

I wake up, stretch and feel something hairy next to me. I open my eyes and

	We get up, get dressed and head over to my house. I run to get
changed while Zach and Liam talk in the kitchen. Kate picks us up at noon
and we drive to the mall on the way I notice a car following us.


	We find a place to park and the same car pulls in right behind us
and Lisa gets out.
