Chapter 11
The Special Present

There was something about Brian on Thursday. He seemed to be avoided Dan,
were ever they went. Even during homeroom, when they had a class together,
he didn't say much to Dan. This was puzzling to Dan, because he felt he had
done something to make Brain upset and not love him anymore. This would be a
downfall to his world, because he wasn't sure how he would handle it. It was
Brian who helped Dan get up and face the world everyday. It was him that
made it worth living for...
"Brian." Dan just opened his mouth, "Do you not love me anymore?"
"Why would you think something like that up?"
"Well you have been avoiding me, and not talking to me much. What's up?"
"Oh, nothing. Just something's that have been going on here, and I just
need some time to myself is all. I am sorry." He frowned to Dan, and he made
little puppy dog eyes. This always won Dan down, and he just smiled and went
back to his reading.
Dan figured that it was just the meeting that night that was eating him up
and nothing more. Just that. The meeting was right after school. After the
count was done, they had 30 members. With 10 people that were gay. The only
person who knew the people however was Tom and Amanda. This way it wouldn't
be something of a problem if they ever accused Dan or Brian of rating them
out.

Finally the three o'clock bell rang and the halls grew noise. Dan and Brian
walked down the hall towards the room that would be holding the first
official Gay/Straight Alliance meeting of the school.
"You know what I just remember Brian?" Dan looked quickly over at Brian.
	"What's that?"
"That you had a present for me tonight. What is it?"
"Oh you will see my little love monkey."
	"Not a hint?"
"Ok, well it has to do with graduation in a few months, and since were are
seniors...opps I have given you two much info there little guy." He just
smiled and left it at that.
They finally got there finding that most of the members were there and that
they were ready to start. First thing was roll call. All but two members
were they but they trickled in after a few moments.
Then it was on to the confirming of Brian as the President and Tom as vice
president. There was something about Tom that Brian wanted to ask Tom. Just
to get something off his chest that was bugging him, but he would just wait
till the meeting was over to get it done.
After the confirming of president and vice president, they went on with
special business, which Brian had slipped into the meeting to do his little
present for Dan.
"Ok. I know this is using the power of president to call on something so
unique, but I have felt that I need to do this in front of everyone, so that
everyone knows what is on my mind." He reached into his pocket but did pull
anything out. He just turned to Dan, "could you come over here please?"
Dan got up from his seat and walked to were Brian was pointing his finger
at on the ground. Then with out notice he pulled a little satin box out of
his pocket, got down on one knee and with big teary eyes "Dan you are the
only person I have truly loved. I hope you accept my offer to be my husband,
till we both die."
Dan was shocked. He hadn't any clue that something like this would ever
happen. He couldn't say anything. Like a flash he saw the rest of his life
with Brian, and in its bliss and happiness something that could be. He hoped
it could be this way.
"Dan...Do you accept or decline?" Brian was scared that he put his lover
and friend into a shock. He hadn't thought of that, but it was possible that
it could happen.
"I...I...do..."and just trailed off with that.
The room bursted into cheers and roars as the two were welcomed that they
had decided to wed each other. It was a moment that would be remember at all
future club meeting, no matter who, or what, or how many years after they
had left the high school and went on there way.
