" Good morning Mr. Logan. How did you sleep last night? "
Said a deep voice that awoke Adam from his deep slumber.

" What? What's going on? " Adam mumbled sitting up in the
bed and looking over at Peter who was laying on top of the
covers wearing a white wife beater and some much to small
white Armani boxer briefs. Peter's butt was a nice full and

" Did you sleep good? " Peter asked.

" Yeah but I don't remember going to bed or anything. " Adam
said. " What day is it? "

" It's Friday morning October 14th to be exact and its
Thanksgiving break were off for the week. No school no
practice we can lay here all day if we want. "

" Thanksgiving? But it's not even November. Oh right you
Canadians have it in October. You like being difficult don't
you? " Laughed Adam.

" No it's our Harvest or something comes sooner. I bet you
Yanks only have it in November to get it closer to Christmas
to make more money? " Joked Peter.

" Yeah that's it! " replied Adam. " So Peter piper what's on
the agenda for today? "

" Well nothing involving alcohol you were completely tanked
last night. I think you should count your lucky stars you
don't have a hang over. " Said Peter. " Or do you? "

" No actually I think I'm going to be ok. " Replied Adam.

" Ok that's good, so maybe we can go to your house or
something? I don't know I would really like to meet Mr. And
Mrs. Logan the ones who created your fine ass self. " Said
Peter pulling the blankets of Adam and taking a long look at

" I don't know yet Peter I mean I want to tell my parents
but I think doing it so suddenly and them seeing me right
away with another guy would be to much for them. We can go

The Guess Store this month. " Said Adam.

" Yeah well Adam it's great that you want to go shopping but

up.

" What is it Mr. Grumpy pants? " Asked Ares.

" Is everything dandy? " Added Peter.

Adam Remembering Peter and Ares lost their mother.

" I think you better have now what's wrong honey bee? I
don't like seeing you upset. " Said Peter putting an arm
around Adam's shoulder and cuddling him.

" It's my bloody mother! You know what she's gone and done.
Planned a surprise for me! Something that would cheer me up!
Because she thinks I've been down at home these days. "
Snapped Adam.

" So what did she do? Let me guess the surprise is you got a
car but it's not the colour you wanted right. " Joked Ares.

" Not quite Ares, but thanks for the badly timed joke. She
is inviting Casey and Edward up for the week to cheer me up.
" Said Adam fuming with anger.

" Who the hell are those guys and what's with the name
Edward? " Asked Peter confused.

" Peter they are two bastards I want to leave in my past and
not face ever again. They were my two good friends from
Oakville and they miss me since I moved, and they called my
mom I guess and planned to take a trip to White Oaks. " Adam
sulked.

" And what's wrong with that? " Asked Ares.

" Well what's wrong with that is that they are two
conservative right wing nut jobs and they are the last thing
I want to happen to this community and to me right now. I
only befriended them because I had no choice everyone in
Oakville is a Republican Red bastard and that's the reason I
was still in the closet when I came here. I can't pretend to
be straight for them now. I enjoy my life too much now to go
back into hiding. " Adam Replied.

" Well you don't hide! They are coming here on our turf if
they don't want me to kick the shit out of them then they
best keep there mouths shut and pretend to like it here

the week and treating me like some good friend you just met.

back in Greece were happy when they found out they will be

all. " Peter snapped back.

" I know what you mean. I have to do this for my own mental
health I can't stand being at home having my parents not

Adam begged.

" Adam you just say the words and I will be there for you. "
Peter Said putting both arms around Adam. " C'mon lets get

" On the next episode of The O.C. Adam, confronts his
parents about his sexuality and Peter shaves of that
annoying chin strap that he has been growing for over a year
now. " Ares joked in a T.V. announcer voice.

" Shut up! " Peter Said trying not to laugh. " And this chin
strap stays. Not a lot of blond guys have them and besides I
grow facial hair like a thirteen yr. old British boy so

" It shows, now get a move on Pete, I bet Adam is already in
that shower right now all soaped up. Better help him get the
hard to reach places. " Ares said mockingly.

wondering what a skate park had to do with anything they

" I live near it and no one is ever there. Except one guy

Brent said.

going to say that he is the opposite of whatever you think
he is. " Nate Laughed. " Which would mean he's gay because
you said he is straight. Speaking of which hot stud up

" Where? " Brent blurted out.

" The guy up the road with the skate board. " Nate said
grabbing Brent's head and putting it in the right Direction.
" Up a head means in front not beside you dumb ass! " joked
Nate.

That's the skate park hunk I was talking about before. "

" C'mon he's going there now by the looks of it lets go and
watch him and start a conversation with him. " Nate said.

" But we don't know him. What are we going to say or ask
him? " Brent said confused.

" Nate replied.

Peter said rubbing Adam's back trying to calm him down.

" No I have to do this and I have to do it before my old
friends from California get here. " Said Adam sternly.

" Well what time will they be landing? " Asked Peter.

" Does it matter? I have to tell mom now and they could land
at anytime it's his dad's privet jet he is flying on so
anytime. " Adam replied.

Just then the front door to Adam's house opened and his mom
was in the doorway.

" Oh I see your mom. " Peter yelped excited.

" Easy there buddy. " Adam said looking at Peter who had
just yelped. " Hi mom! I came home to get some things and to
get, ah, just to get some things. Mind if we come in? "
Asked Adam.

" No not at all. You and your friend come in I have some
thing I have been meaning to ask you both so yeah that would
be great. " Tina replied.

" Ask us something? Adam guy she already knows. " Peter said
abruptly.

" Knows what? " Adam asked.

" That you're gay and me and you are dating. " Peter
replied.

" What that's bull how could she. " Adam answered back.

" Bloody hell Adam. How many straight teenage guys have
sleepovers 5 times a week or more, I mean give your mom some
credit. " Peter snapped.

" I guess so, but it's my mom it could really be anything. "
Adam replied looking uncomfortable.

" Are you two following me? " Asked the tall and lean
looking skater guy.

The skater boy was about 6'1 feet and had sun kissed blond
hair that was spiked up. Each spike was pink on the tips. He
was wearing a pair a military styled shorts that had lots of
pockets and were at least 3 inches below his knee. He was
wearing a DC shit that was black and the short sleeves were
rolled all the way up to his shoulders, which made it look
like he was wearing a tank top. His arms were toned and he
had a tattoo of some kind on his right arm just below his
shoulder. His eyes were brown and skin still tanned a deep
golden colour after the long months of summer just passed.


" Who us? No not at all! We were just going to the skate
park to do some boarding. " Replied Nate.

" So why don't you have any skateboards with you? " Asked
the Skate guy looking at both guys with a questioning look
in his eyes.

" He thinks you're hot. " Brent said quickly before Nate
could answer.

" He does, does he? " Replied the Skater guy.

" Well you know just a thing that I happened to notice that
you were hot. " Nate answered red in the face. " Sorry
what's your name? " Nate asked.

" Oh it's Shane. " Answered the Skater guy.

" Well Shane excuse me for a second. I'll be right back. "
Nate replied grabbing Brent by the ear and walking away with
him.

" Oh shit Nathan, leave my ear attached will you! " Brent
howled in pain.

" I should fucking be pulling you by your balls you low down
dirty scum bucket! " Screamed Nate. " You made me look like
an idiot! Go home now I have to make myself not look like an
idiot so this guy might actually talk to me again. "

" Fine but call me later and tell me how it goes. And wait!
I saw him first so he's mine. " Brent said in a whiney
voice.

" If you don't go now I will make you. " Nate tried.

" Ok fine going, call me later thou I want details too
Nathan! " Brent shouted as he walked away.

Nate walked back over to Shane hanging his head low thinking
of how he was going to explain what Brent had blurted out.

" Sorry about my friend he is a total. I don't know I swear
he has A.D.D. or something. " Said Nate blushing.

" Hey that's ok. I think you're kind of hot to. "  Shane
said looking intensely at Nate.

" You do? Are you kidding me? You think I am hot? " Nate
replied shocked by what he heard.

" Yeah, even thou you never notice me. Well until now at
least. " Said Shane.

" What I have never seen you before or have I? " Nate
answered looking at Shane trying to figure out if he had or
not.

" Yeah I go to your high school, your dad runs the place and
you play forward on the Water polo team, or you did until
that new kid took your spot. " Shane replied.

" Ok let me stop you there. We share the forward spot I am
still on the team and I have never seen you at school
before. " Said Nate trying to keep his cool over the water
polo thing.


" Well me and you are in different groups. I hang out with
the kids you guys call 'The dirt' you know the punk slash
skater kids? And you are up with the jocks and the popular
guys, so I don't blame you for not knowing me. " Replied
Shane.

" I'm sorry, if I sounded rude just then. I hope I have
never been mean to you? I mean I know I can be at times so
sorry if I have been. " Said Nate sympathetically.

" No don't worry I have never wore the same shoes as you so
I have never given you the reason to hate me. " Laughed
Shane.

" I guess so. You seem to go for the skater look. I am more.
I'm not sure what look I have I guess you could call it my
very own look. " Nate replied laughing.

" I guess so. So did you want to maybe ditch the skate park
seeing you don't have a skateboard and go get a pizza or
something? " Asked Shane hoping Nate would say yes.

" You know what, I think I will, you're on. " Nate replied
enthusiastically.

" Great! So do you often come here to skate without a
skateboard? " Shane asked mockingly as the two walked off.

Adam shouted in a panic.

" Adam, are you sure. Your mom wanted to talk with us. "
Peter replied.

" Now damn it Peter! " Screamed Adam.

" Fine! " Peter yelled back just as loud as the two sped
away from Adam's house.

" Thanks. " Adam said quietly now much more calm.

" You're welcome. You scared the crap out of me back there.
Don't yell at me like that. " Peter snapped back.

" Sorry, I know I totally panic like that. Peter I don't
want to be backed into a corner. I need to talk more about
this before I can talk to my parents. I also need to tell
mom and dad together. I can't have life at home being that
uncomfortable, mom knowing and dad not having a clue. " Adam
pleaded.

" Well I asked you before if it was best we leave it so I
guess we will Adam. Look as long as you love me fine but I'm
not going to watch you suffer like this forever babes. You
have to tell them soon. " Peter Carried on.

" I know that. Just not today, I really wanted to do
something else today. " Adam said giving Peter the feeling
he was getting to something.

" What was that something else then? " Asked Peter.

" How about me and you get a nice room at some nice trendy
upscale hotel. You know the one in Vancouver that all the
stars go to. I think it's called 'The Beverly Hills' It's
got this nice lounge and the Hotel has this Bar that made
Canada's top list of night clubs and best nightlife in the
county. So what do you say? I know I am dying to get out of
White Oaks and go to Vancouver and have some fun. " Adam
Said in a tone of voice that Peter never heard him use
before. It was a wild and rugged voice and it made Peter's
mouth water in anticipation to what might come.

" I think we have a deal. Lets go back to mine and pack
something's and then we can head of. " Peter said totally
excited about the idea.

" Excellent. And make sure you pack some fun stuff and some
skimpy undergarments because tonight's the night Peter
Diotrephes.  " Adam said in a wicked voice and a lusty
glossed over look in his eyes.

You already got your way with Deanna Diotrephes the women is
dead and Peter and Ares don't have a mother and poor Adrian

response to Linda's attack.

And don't you dare put that Deanna Diotrephes bull crap on
me Alex. You know that's all gossip. I have nothing to do
with that, nothing at all! " Yelled Linda taking a breath. "
Besides you kept all her love letters. You still to this day

read them every night and go into the Guest House and wank

bullshit that comes out of your foul mouth! " Screamed Alex.
" I stopped seeing her and picked you over her. I went back

Linda tried earnestly but failed.

back.

" I have heard enough of this. I'm sleeping in the guest

else were, as long as it's not with me. " Linda sounded off
as she walked from the living room.

Nate's chin taking more time then needed. " You have a

jaw line and you have the bluest eyes I think I've ever

" Are you flirting with me? I think your flirting with me,
one question why me Shane? " Nate asked.

" Because Nate you really are a handsome guy and I have had
a mad crush on you for ages. I mean seeing you in the Speedo
at Water Polo games has gotten me off so many times. And its
not just your body its how outspoken you are. " Shane
replied.

" Are you for real? Guys never come up to me and for you to
say this is a total shocker! I never saw my self truly as
attractive. I guess I thought guys were always more into
Peter then me. " Nate said blushing.

" No way. Peter is like a dumb jock type you are the hot
outspoken bitchy guy. Your only downfall is guys are scared
of you so they never ask you out. If I knew you were this
nice I would have spoken to you a lot sooner. Try being
nicer you'll see how many guys you attract. " Said Shane.

" Really? I always thought I was to guys what Procter &
Gamble is to animal rights. And that incase you don't know,
that does not match up to well. I'm flattered. And maybe I
can make this whole 'nice' thing work. I mean people wont
expect it and the unexpected can be the most fabulous thing
sometimes. " Nate replied.

" More fabulous then Gucci? " Shane asked laughing.

" Don't push it! Nothing is more fabulous then Gucci. " Nate
laughed. " Well maybe you. "

mom the phone. " Can you hurry I am expecting a call from

" I'll be as long as I need to be Kristy. Did you see where
your brother went? " Tina asked worried.

" No Adam just left I guess. " Kristy Replied not really
bothered.

" Hello whom am I speaking to? " Tina said politely.

" Hi Tina this is Alex Bradshaw! You know who I am right? "
Alex asked in a bubbly upbeat voice.

" Oh yes! Of course what can I do for you? " Tina said
wondering why she was being called by Nate's dad.

" Well the reason I am calling is because I saw in the
Volunteer mail box at the Country club that you wanted to do
some volunteer work for the community and I think I found
something you might be interested in. " Alex Replied.

" Oh yes? That's great! And so soon, so what is it then? "
Tina asked all a sudden excitement in her voice.

" Well our Secretary at the school is going on maternity
leave as of today and we are in need of a secretary at the
high school and I saw you have experience in that area and
wanted to know if you were interested or not? " Alex said
hoping Tina would take the offer willingly.

" Gee well its really soon but I don't see why not. I mean I
need to get out of this house its driving me up the wall.
You know what Alex I'll do it. " Tina Replied convinced and
sure.

" Oh that's great! So you know that its Thanksgiving break
here so on Monday perhaps you could come in just so I can
show you around the school a bit and then when the kids come
back after the break you know what you're doing. " Alex
said.

" Yeah for sure. Anyways Alex I hate to cut the conversation
short but I have a son who was just here and suddenly
vanished and I need to track the little bugger down so I'll
have to let you go. " Tina replied trying to end this quick.

" Ok see you Monday. " Alex said enthusiastically

" Can't wait! Bye. " Tina said hanging the phone up quickly.
" Ok Kristy remind me were I put the phone book again. I
have to call this Peter boy and find out what's going on. "

" Why is Adam in some kind of trouble? " Kristy asked with a
sincere tone of concern to her voice.

" Not Adam. Peter perhaps. And he just left and I have his
friends from Cali coming up here tonight and he just
disappears. Oh lordy... And your father and I always thought
you were the one to look out for Kristy. I think since we
moved it's been Adam I have to keep tabs on and I don't know
what it is but I feel like I don't even know my own son
anymore. Well I intend to find out what the hell is going on
because he might be 18 but he is my baby and I want to know
what's going on. " Tina replied her voice breaking slightly
trying hard to hold back her emotions.

" You know mom I don't want to make anything for sure but I
think since we moved Adam has been a lot more at home and
more happy. And if you catch my drift I think Adam feels a
lot more at home in this new school then he did back in
California. " Kristy said careful of how she used her words.

" I get it Kristy and I know that you know, but I need to
hear this from Adam before I can believe it. I just hope he
knows how much your father and I really do love him. I mean
were not stupid we have a good idea I just want to talk.
That's all I want. " Tina replied now finding it harder then
ever before to hold back the emotions deep inside her she
did not know how to explain and where they were coming from.

on the road.

" Yeah I've heard of them. So how long do you think the
drive will be? " Adam asked getting worried about his
running of from home earlier.

" About an Hour till we get to the city. 3 hours if we
decide to pull over onto the side of the road and shag. "
Laughed Peter.

" You did not just say shag? What are you freaking Austin
Powers or something? " Adam asked playfully.

" I'm not sure Adam. All I know is that tonight I'll be

Peter said laughing.

" Agreed! So c'mon what are we waiting for. I want to at
least get there in the day so we can see the city a bit more
before we hit the town for the night. " Said Adam anxiously.

" Ok but you should maybe call your mom before we go? "
Peter asked concerned.

" No Peter I am 18 and I am not telling her where I am
going. She never told me my friends, sorry I mean the
bastards I called friends from Oakville are coming up for
the week. Screw that we are going now and we will stay as
long as we want. " Adam replied sternly.

It was now later on in the evening around 7:00pm when the
air seemed to cool down a bit and Tina started to close the
windows in the Logan residence.

" Kristy, Close your bedroom window please! " Tina called up
stares. " How could he do this to us Kent? I called Peter's
dad and he said the two went to Vancouver for a couple days.
" Tina asked her Husband.

" Adam is 18 Tina we can't do anything about it. And I trust
that Peter knows his way around and will keep our son safe.
" Kent replied.

" Do you really think Peter is Adam's boyfriend? Do you
really think Adam is gay? " Tina asked her husband hoping he
knew something she did not.

" I am almost certain of it. I mean Tina we have to look
back at the signs. I mean Adam is a Good Looking guy, and I
know he could get any girl he wanted to. Think about how
depressed he was back in Oakville? That was not our son. And
now that we moved here and he met people just like him he is
all happy and content hardly at home anymore. I think Adam
is gay yes and to tell you the truth I thought he was way
before we moved here. " Kent replied sounding more confident
then expected about the whole thing.


" You know I always thought that we moved here for a reason.
I mean when your company moved you here I always had
something playing in the back of my mind that something more
was going to come of it. " Tina said now looking into her

" Did you hear that? " Kent asked suddenly.

" Yeah it was a knock at the door. Here come with me. " Tina
said standing up.

Tina and Kent walked towards the door together.

" Please, let this be Adam. " Tina said excitedly.

When Kent pulled back the door the two were met not but
their son but by two other boys.

" Casey. Edward! You're here so soon? " Tina called out
trying to hide her shock by putting on a motherly voice.

" You boys come in a sit down I'll get your stuff and bring
it all in." Kent added.

" Oh that's no problem, that's what the taxi driver is for.
So where is Adam at? " Said one of the boys who was looking
past the doorway into the house.

" Well I hate to cut our day short but I have got to go to
this friends Birthday party thing and I doubt they would be
thrilled to see me show up with you Nate. " Shane laughed.

" I understand I have not exactly been to nice to them.
Hopefully I can meet them on good terms some day thou? "
Nate Asked.

" I am sure of it. " Shane replied.

" Ok so I'll see you sometime again I hope? " Nate asked
worried this might be his last time with his lover boy.

" Oh for sure. I have your number in my cell and I will be
sure to give you a call. " Shane said looking down at his
watch. " Shit I am really late. "

" Ok well you go have a great time and Shane, don't kiss any
other boys. I mean if you want you can. " Nate said looking
down at the side walk.

" Don't worry. I wont. The only boy I want to kiss is you. "
Shane replied as he leaned over and gave Nate a peck on the
lips. And walked away.

" Have a good night! " Nate called after him as he walked in
the other direction walking past the skate park the two had
met at that very day.

Nate felt like he was floating. Until his cell phone began
ringing.

" Hello? " Nate asked slightly angered by the ring breaking
his peace.

" Hey Nate! It's Rob what you up to tonight? " Rob asked.

" Nothing much just on my way home. " Nate replied.

" Well Marcus is over and so is Toni and Brent is coming
over later maybe you want to come? We are probably going to
a club later anyways. " Rob said pausing waiting for a very
quite Nate the reply.

" Yes you know I'm there. And besides don't invite Brent I
am mad at him and I have something I want to tell you and he
will probably blab it to you before I can. " Nate said his
voice sounding distant.

" Oh my god! You have a lover don't you child! " Rob
screamed excited.

" I think I do Robby. I think I have my self a lover. " Nate
replied laughing.

" Ok get over here fast! And spill! Marcus is screaming he
is that excited. Hurry fast! Actually you know what stay
were you are we will come pick you up! " Rob shouted also
excited over the news.

" Alright peace. " Nate said as he hung up.

The evening was cool and the stars were just coming out and
the pink sky was becoming a navy black as the sun was
setting over some tall pines. As Nate stood there waiting he
felt something inside that made him feel whole. Something
designer clothing and cars could never of filled.
