Subject: Change is Good A Summer Interlude

Disclaimer: The story will include descriptions of sexual activity between
teen boys.  As this is a work of fiction the characters may not always
practice the safest sex, but I implore you to please always be careful
there are a lot of nasty things out there and it's not worth it.  If

you all feel about it.  This is my first story that I am trying out so let

A Summer Interlude

*Austin*

The summer between the end of high school and the start of college was
already set to be an adventure all it's own, although with this gaggle of
friends things never seem to be quiet so easy.  A few weeks have gone by
since Alex left us or rather since he left Shawn, he has been in almost
constant contact with me and though he tries to put on a brave face I can
tell he is still hurting.

"So tell me something crazy from overseas," I asked during the latest of my
Skype sessions with Alex

"UmmÉI can drink and I have seen a lot of naked people" he grimaced
earning a chuckle from me

"Any cuties, you know I would kill for a guy with an accentÉouch" I was
nudged in my side by Jason with a scowl on his face and Alex laughing on
the screen "You know I was only kidding these eyes are for you alone my
sweet"

"Give it a rest you goofÉHow are you enjoying your time Alex" Jason
quickly changed the subject as I began to feel guilty for bringing up guys
and sort of rubbing Jason in his face.

"It's completely different, honestly I could really see myself being here
full time.  The people, the atmosphere, the culture it is all something
completely new and immersive " he let out a sigh before continuing "And yes
Austin the boys are quite nice to look at and no I have not made up my mind
about if I am going to come back or not"

"Hey now don't let this one over here get you down, it sounds like you are
having a great time and this is not an opportunity that comes along very
often so enjoy while you can soak up as much as you can, once you've had
your fill than you decide if you are ready to come back or not" Jason
surprised me with his sudden outburst but I couldn't help but find myself
agreeing with everything that he was saying.

"Besides when you become rich and famous you will be able to travel all
over or you could be a true best friend and pay our way over there to see
you" I said with a big smile before being elbowed in the ribs by Jason his
scowl returning.

"Again ignore this bone head tell us what you have planned for the next
couple days and don't skimp on the details"

Alex looked away from the screen "UhÉ I uhÉ. I have to go we are
getting ready to tour another part of the city today bye"

"How is he holding up?" Startled I nearly jumped out of my skin turning
around to see Shawn leaning against my bedroom doorframe looking like he
hasn't had a good nights sleep in days.

Shaking my head and collecting myself I look him directly in the eyes "How
long have you been standing there?"

"Only long enough to hear him say he has not made up his mind about coming
back or staying"

Jason let out a sigh beside me, giving me a quick kiss before making his
way to the door stopping just behind Shawn "I am sure a lot is going
through his mind, he has the space now he just needs time to sort
everything out and do what is best for him.  You can only hope that you are
included in the best for him part" Jason let out one last breath before
disappearing around the corner.

"Austin do you think I am included in his plan?" he looked back at me with
hope in his eyes and I hated what I was getting ready to say.

"Honestly I don't know he was really hurt by what took place at the end of
the year, granted it may have been a misunderstand or whatever, but in his
eyes and mind he was betrayed by you on multiple fronts the kiss and the
blowjob were just icing on the cake" we never lose eye contact as I watch
the trail of emotions come and go across his face his eyes slowly filling
up with tears.

"I really messed up in all of this didn't I?  I shouldn't have ignore the
signs from both Nils and Alex it was all there right in front on me the
whole time, maybe somewhere inside I enjoyed the boost to my ego having two
guys like that have eyes for me.  I know it's no excuse and it does not
lessen the extent of the damage that has already been done"

"When was the last time you saw or spoke to Nils?" Shawn dropped his gaze
from mine and I instantly felt myself begin to boil on the inside "Maybe it
would be best if you left, the events at the party may have been a bit out
of your control, but thisÉthis is something happening while you are in
the correct state of mindÉagain I think it would be best if you left I
am trying to stay neutral in all of this as you are both my really good
friends and I would hate to take sides as you already know I am probably
the only one who hasn't not jumped to Alex's side if only because I knew
you before all of this and figured I knew what you were capable of doing,
but right now you are making it very difficult for me to remain in that
frame of mind"

"Wait it's not what youÉ."

Waving my hand dismissively and turning my back to him

"Don't even finishing that statement I've heard it to many times already"
my heart caught in my throat as I looked up at the screen, in all the
commotion I failed to realize that Alex had never actually signed off and
since I was blocking the view of the computer no one else could tell
either.

"Alex wait don't..." I was cut off mid sentence as the screen went blank
looking over my shoulder at Shawn I could see his heart break "Maybe you
were going to be included in his future plans, but I think that time may
have officially come and gone




Okay so this is just a small teaser of what is to come of course, I thought
I would go a slightly direction and take leave Alex and Shawn's
perspectives for a bit but do not worry there is much to be explained with
those two. I appreciate everyone's feedback it really gives me things to
think about and help me grow as a writer and sometimes I truly need that
extra spark from you guys, so with that being said I love hearing from you
guys so please to be afraid to drop me a line, love it, hate it, or have
suggestions of your own.  Also some of you may know but there is a yahoo
