Subject: Colby's Life Expectations - Chapter 6

Colby's Life Expectations is a story written and owned by the
author Kuragari129. It is in every way a fictional story. If it has
similarities to your or someone you knows life, it is entirely
coincidental. This story will contain sexual acts between two boys under
the age of consent. If this is illegal for you to read in your local area,
stop now. Don't forget to donate to Nifty as they are a non-profit

So here's Chapter 6! We're on the home stretch of this story. After
this chapter it'll be only 4 more chapters. I might do a epilogue just for
you guys who like reading this story. Waring though that epilogue will go
into Life's Expectations, so I guess it's a good thing I do this?

Well this chapter Colby is gonna have a lot to think about. He's
gonna look back at his life and see what he's done and how far he's
come. Colby will also be out of the hospital in this chapter. He just had a
few broken ribs and such remember.

Anyways before I get to ranty and tell you everything just look at
the chapter title. You'll get a good idea of the chapter.

Chapter 6 – The "First" Date – Take Me Home Tonight

When Mitch left Colby was sure it was for a good reason. In the
past year, since meeting Gage and Nick, Colby's confidence had increased
tremendously. Colby just thought to himself, Mitch has to be stressing over
the situation right now. He could be lying... Mitch doesn't lie though,
never has.

This is probably just my insecurities rising up again. A year ago I
would think I would never see him again. Thinking that I just lost a good
friend. That was then though.

Now it's different, ever since I met Gage. He is so comfortable
with himself. He is 11 and doesn't care if people make fun of him. I've
seen kids make fun of him, he has 10x better comebacks then they have
insults. The kid is just great.

If it wasn't for me saving Nick that day I might have ended up dead
by now. I don't like thinking about it but it's probably true. I mean I was
always doubting myself back then. I would always walk with my head down and
dragging my feet. Every once in a while I would actually think about ending
it... but I never did.

So much stress have left my shoulders in the past few days... My
parents know I'm gay, Mitch seams okay with it... Vicky and Trevor are fine
with it. I mean who care about the rest of the world. Right?

Colby found himself in a deep sleep in the midst of his
thoughts. That night he dreamed of Mitch rejecting him. His restless sleep
exhausted him during the day and he slept for most of his parents and
sister's visit. Once school ended Gage, Sam and Nick all found a way down
to the hospital.

Gage of course was charging in at full force, "Colby!" He shouted
waking the teenager from his sleep, "When are you gonna get out!?"

Colby rolled his eyes, "I've only been in here for a few days. It's
not like I'm gonna get out after a few days. The doctors need to know I'll
be okay."

Gage pouted, "That's dumb. You look fine to me..."

"His ribs probably hurt allot though." Sam shyly spoke from behind
the brothers.

"Sam's right Gage." Colby smiled at the boys.

Gage crossed his arms and huffed, "Sam's always right." Everyone
laughed at Gage's expense.

The boys stayed for about an hour before Mrs. Bells came and picked
them up. Sadly one of the things she brought Colby was the work he had been
missing along with notes from each of hi classes. As grateful as Colby was
he wished the homework was excused.

He had just gotten started on his English when his dinner was
brought in by the nurses. He managed to get a comfy position from him to
work on both his dinner and homework. He quickly got his hospital food into
his stomach and finished his English work by 6pm.

With two hours of visiting hours left Colby didn't expect to see
anyone else that night. He didn't want to get his hopes up of Mitch coming
for a visit. Just as he was about to go onto his Chem homework, Mitch
walked in, "Sorry I'm late, I brought ice cream."

Colby smiled at the two DQ blizzards Mitch had in his hands. "What
kind ya get me?"

"I asked Trevor what kind you liked and he said cookie dough."

"Trevor would be correct with that." Mitch Blushed.

"And that's what I got you." Colby clapped as quick as he could.

Grabbing his side, "I would be clapping still but... it hurts."
Mitch giggled. "Why are you laughing!?"

	"You, you're so silly."

Colby huffed, rolling his eyes, "Just give me my ice cream before
it melts." Mitch happily gave the injured boy his ice cream. Over the next
half an hour eating ice cream and school were the topic of
discussion. Everything from the latest gossip to up and coming concerts.

Then came the topic both boys have been wanting to get to all
night. Colby made the first move, "Enough small talk, what exactly happened
last night?"

"Oh... That..." Mitch blushed furiously. "I did actually have to go
help my mom but it was more of a 'I'm getting out of here' than anything."

"So..." Mitch was sitting in the chair beside Colby's bed. Avoiding
eye contact Mitch got up, "Are you leaving again?"

"No, I swear I'll be right back. Okay?"

"If your not, I'll make sure Trevor kicks your ass!" Mitch left
rather quickly. Colby laid there knowing that he would return. Trevor
constantly does little things to Mitch and has been getting rougher lately.

In Colby's head everything was going to turn out fine, Mitch's was
haywire though. Okay... It's gonna be fine, Mitch thought to himself. He
likes roses, Trevor said so. Trevor and Colby are best friends, so he has
to be right.

The 16 year old boy made his way to the nurse's station. Once there
the nurse sitting doing paper work looked up, "Wanting your flowers?"

"Yes Ma'am." Mitch blushed. "Thank you."

He went to return to Colby's room before being interrupted by the
nurse. "Good luck!" Mitch smiled and rushed back to the waiting Colby.

When he returned he stood in the doorway with the flowers hidden
behind him. "Where did you go?" Colby casually asked.

"I had to go grab something..." Colby waited patiently for Mitch to
continue. He swiftly closed his eyes and shoved the dozen roses in front of
him, "Trevor said you liked them and I wanted to say sorry!"

Colby smiled and laughed a bit, "Okay... lets stop before I hurt
myself." Colby calmed down and continued, "Roses are nice, but a bit to
cliché don't you think?"

"Shut up you and accept them!" Colby laughed again.

Shaking his head, "Fine I accept them on one condition. Answer one
question: Why are you doing this?"

Once again Mitch closed his eyes, "Cause I like you too!" Both boys
smiled. "So these roses are not just a sorry but..."

Mitch hands the roses to Colby. A card stuck out from the bouquet,
which Colby grabbed. It read: Get well soon, and will you be my boyfriend?

Colby looked at the boy standing by the door. "Can I call this our
first date?"

"We didn't really have a date..."

"Ahh but we had ice cream! The best part of a date!" Both boys
laughed. "So is that a yes?" Mitch nods and walks over and sits back down
in the chair beside the bed.

Over the next week many people came to see Colby. His favorite
visits were always Mitch's, with Gage's in a close second. When Saturday
came around Colby was released from the hospital but was told to not do any
major physical activities until his doctor's okay.

Finally able to move around freely, Colby still didn't move
much. Most of this meals were delivered to him. Colby sat in his father's
chair for the first time in a long time. Everything was finally getting
back to normal.

Then Colby's cell phone rang. "Hello?"

"Colby," It was Mrs. Bells, "I'm sorry to ask you this the day you
came out of the hospital, but I need a babysitter tonight. You don't have
to say yes in your condition. Gage merely insisted it was you since you
were out."

In the background Colby could hear Gage shout, "PLEASE!?"

"One moment, Mrs. Bells." Colby turned to his mother, "Mom, Gage
and Nick need a babysitter tonight."

His concerned mother replied, "You just got out of the hospital."

"They wont push me and you know it."

Relying on her last card she spoke, "Your father is at work, you
don't have a ride and you're not walking."

From the phone Gage could be heard screaming, "WE'LL PICK HIM UP!!"

Colby giggled a bit, "Gage, that was nearly my ear you blew off."

"You heard didn't you?" Gage cheekily replied. "Mom will pick you
up and drop you off at home afterwords, pleasepleaseplease."

The teen shook his head, "You'll have to talk to my mom." He handed
his phone to his worried mother.

Gage spoke as soon as she said hello, "Please Mrs. Brown!? Colby is
the best babysitter. I promise I'll be good and will make doubly sure Colby
doesn't push himself! So please can he babysit us?"

Colby saw defeat in his mother's eyes. "Gage, you are very sweet
and very hard to say no too."

"So he can!?" Gage was jumping up and down around and around.

"On one condition: One of his friends accompany him. Let me speak
to your mother please." Gage swiftly handed the phone over to his mother,
"Mrs. Bells?"

"Yes, You must be Mrs. Brown."

"You can call me Scarlet. I gave your son the condition of one of
his friends accompanying Colby. Are you okay with this, first of all?"

"If you feels it's necessary, I see no problem. Phone back when you
know for sure, okay?"

"We will, Thank you for being understanding." With some short
good-byes the mothers ended the call.

Colby was immediately on the hunt for a friend. He started with
Mitch. Calling his cell phone. In minutes it was decided that Mitch would
aid Colby in babysitting Nick and Gage.

None of the four boys that were going to be in the Bell's home that
night would think what was going to happen, happened. Nick unaware to the
entire situation would be told at a later date that his brother had some
extra fun with the older boys before he went to bed.

	Chapter end!

Sorry, I know I promised to get it out sooner but... I'll be honest
I forgot. Anyways you will hear about Gage's adventures next chapter but
for now I'm leaving you with that.

So once again only 4 chapters left now. :( It's okay though with
this story done I'll be able to focus on the other two more! Where Life
Takes Us has an outline now so I know how long that'll be.

Anyways any comment questions or concerns email me at
kuragari129@hotmail.com! I will always respond to you!

	Thanks for reading!
