Subject: Colby's Life Expectations - Chapter 8

Colby's Life Expectations is a story written and owned by the
author Kuragari129. It is in every way a fictional story. If it has
similarities to your or someone you knows life, it is entirely
coincidental. This story will contain sexual acts between two boys under
the age of consent. If this is illegal for you to read in your local area,
stop now. Don't forget to donate to Nifty as they are a non-profit

So here we are, at Chapter 8. After this only 2 more chapters to
go. This chapter will be... less interesting to some. This chapter will be
more of a push for the final chapter. Basically last chapter was the end of
George in this story and his conflicts.

So this chapter will be the start of Colby's senior year at
highschool. So once again the chapter will be rather boring but if you read
Life's Expectations you'll get a little surprise in the chapter. Enough
ranting, lets start the chapter!

	Colby's LE – Chapter 8 – Grade 12 – People Like Us

George was expelled from school only a month before
graduation. Colby, with the help of Mr. Bells had gotten a restraining
order against him. The terms were that they would a) not talk to one
another, b) be in the same classroom as one another, and c) not have any
form of intended physical contact.

The terms were clear and George ignored them not one, not 2 but all
three on multiple occasions. When Colby informed Mr. Bells and the office,
George was expelled on the spot. Colby had a great big smile on his face
when He walked out of the school for the last time.

With George out of the way, Colby would fully enjoy the graduation
celebrations. He acted as a server at the grad dinner, the only male server
there. He even got to watch his sister and Vicky have their walk. The only
thought besides, 'wow they look pretty' going through Colby's head was that
he would be doing the same thing in a years time.

Summer past by fast. The Brown family had made no plans for
vacation. Colby though was brought on the Bells family vacation. They only
went to Calgary but that was an 18 hour drive between locations. He was
very grateful of the Bell's kind offer to include him.

When he got back him and Mitch had their second date. Just going to
dinner and a show again but to them it was something extra special.

The rest of the summer was filled with hangouts and
good-byes. Vicky wa heading to Kelowna for school and through scholarships
Jessica was going to the collage the next town over. Amongst others who
knew the group.

When school started Colby could feel something was different. He
could feel the 'power' the grade 12s felt last year and all the years
before. For Colby and Mitch though it was different. They were the only
openly gay kids in school and everyone didn't dare mess with them.

Mrs. Bells made it clear when ever she heard any kind of slang term
what side she was on. She made sure Colby and Mitch knew that they were
always welcome in her classroom. Though the only time they were ever there
was for their English class.

Even with the minor degree of hate towards them, the general
student body loved them. Colby was asked to join many clubs. He only
accepted one though, Student Council. Everyone in the Council decided that
it was 'Colby's Year' and he would host every event.

That meant he was hosting Pep rallies, Talent contest, Dances and
more. Colby was flattered at how everyone felt.

In Colby's head though there was only two goals he wanted to
achieve this year at school. Get straight As and make a lasting impression
in the eyes of the teachers and students.

This started earlier than Colby thought. Many of the younger
students had asked questions to Colby about being gay. Some to be rude,
others in honesty. Soon he had become the guy to talk to about it. As a
result the gay/bi population of the school grew largely.

The principals considered starting a Gay Straight Alliance but not
enough students had enough interest. The idea died as it started.

That didn't stop one boy from fallowing Colby until he had him
alone. When Colby realized he was being fallowed he turned around, "Not to
be rude, but what do you want?"

The kid blushed and looked at the ground, "Sorry..." Puberty had
just hit his voice. The sudden high pitch of his voice made him blush
again. "I just... well you know..."

"Spill it. Why were you fallowing me? There has to be a good
reason." Colby looked at the kid, "Are you gay?"

The kid's eyes went wide and he turned and started to walk
away. Colby quickly caught up and grabbed his shoulder, "What do you
want!?" Tears were running down his face.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. Come on." Colby lead him
towards a bench nearby. He sat down and invited the kid to sit down. He did
so, making more space than necessary between them. "What's your name kid?"

"Adam Bruce." he quietly stated, "I'm in Grade 9..."

	"And you fallowed me cause...?"

Adam quickly looked away from him. "I wanted to know... what made
you gay..."

Colby smiled. "Oh that's easy, Nothing." Adam looked back,
confused. "I guess you could say the internet but that wouldn't be fair
cause it was my choice. I am gay cause that's who I am."

"My dad says that being gay is just a condition and can be cured,
though."

Colby sighed, "I don't know who your dad is, but in my opinion and
many others, he's wrong. Being Gay is part of our genetic make up. Or
something along those lines. We can't control it and we can't 'cure' it."

"Oh... I didn't know." Adam got up. "Don't tell anyone I'm gay
though okay?"

"Or that your dad is trying to 'cure' you of it?" Adam blushed,
"Your secret is safe with me. I'll see you later kid." With that Adam ran
off towards home.

What Colby didn't want to think about was what was going through
Adam's mind. His dad is trying to 'cure' the kid? How can he even try and
do that? He thought to himself.

He let it slip away and he continued walking home. At dinner Colby
looked over to his dad, "Hey dad?" he looked at his son, "What does
'curing' someone from being gay mean?"

"Well son, some religious nuts think that it can be taken from
you. That its a sin to be Gay, to lay with another man." His dad sighed,
"They believe it has something to do with the devil. They call themselves
messengers of god... Disgusting people if you ask me."

"I'll just stick to the ten commandments, they seem pretty solid if
you ask me." Colby laughed.

"I would agree with you son."

School progressed forward and Colby was doing better than expected
on his second goal. He had decided not to take a spare block like most of
his classmates and had 8 classes to complete this year. In each of his
mid-term marks they stated 'Best of the Class'.

He was baffled. He went to each teacher and asked if it was
true. In all four of his current classes it was, indeed, true. He
eventually was asked to help some of the younger students in his spare
time. He gladly accepted this responsibility.

With both of his goals coming along nicely he had one last thing to
do before graduating. Something that everyone expected but wasn't sure how
it would happen. Something special to him and Mitch.

	Chapter end.

Sorry for the short chapter but the next couple of chapters will be
a variate of lengths. On a side note: to you LE readers, There was a bit of
a more recently active character in LE, Adam Bruce in this chapter.

You guys now know about Adam's dad a bit. In the coming chapters of
LE what has been said here will become relevant. I promise.

Now that chapter 8 is done only two more to go.

Here's a hint about the next two chapters: They are called....

	Chapter 9 – Success! – Heaven
Chapter 10 – Graduation – Good Old Days

	Thanks for reading!
