Subject: Devyn's Struggle 27

This is a fictional story involving sexual acts between two or more men.
If this offends you, why are you here? If you are under the legal age to

For those of you who have read my previous stories The Coach's Office

Chapter 27

The weekend passed with Devyn helping Joe and then Devyn fantasizing about
sex with Joe. Having been held in Joe's arms and felt the hard body had
given Devyn jerk off material like he had not had for a long time. He
wanted to taste Joe's hard cock in his mouth. He wanted to feel Joe's cum
filled balls in his fingers as his mouth slid up and down on Joe. He
wanted in Joe's bed. He also wanted Joe to want him in his bed.

That Tuesday Devyn had his first counseling session for his drug abuse.
Joe thought the time perfect since Devyn had been drinking too much.

"How did it go?" Joe asked picking Devyn up after the appointment.

"It was different," Devyn said. "The counselor is nice and maybe some of
the other people are too. I didn't talk too much, but I listened a lot. I
guess I am not the only screw-up around."

"You aren't a screw-up," Joe said annoyed. "You made bad choices because
of your circumstances. The important thing is that you learn from them."

"I am trying," Devyn said.

"So any cute guys in this group?" Joe asked with a twinkle in his eye.

"Um, one or two," Devyn admitted blushing.

"Do you think they are gay?" Joe asked.

"I don't know," Devyn said.

"Well you will have at least one thing in common with them," Joe said as he
turned the truck onto the gravel road. "Might e nice to have some friends
that have the same kind of problem you do. You can help each other that
way."

"I guess," Devyn said.

"Might also be nice to have a boyfriend," Joe said.

"There is only one guy that I am really interested in right now," Devyn
said and looked out the window.

"From the group?" Joe asked.

"No," Devyn said. "He doesn't think of me like that."

"Devyn," Joe said.

"The age doesn't matter to me," Devyn said. "Why is it so important to
you?"

"For one thing," Joe said trying to explain his feelings to Devyn, "it
would be considered illegal."

"I would never tell anyone and it is no one else's business but yours and
mine," Devyn said still looking out the window.

"The other thing is," Joe said as if Devyn had not spoken, "is that I love
you but not in that way. You need a guy your own age. You need a guy that
can grow up with you."

"I can't' help how I feel," Devyn said.

"Nor can I," Joe said. Joe turned the truck into the driveway and shifted
into park. He then turned off the key and turned to face Devyn. "I know
you have these feelings for me. I wish there was a way I could help make
this easier for you."

"If you were not so damn nice and so damn sexy," Devyn said and turned to
look at Joe. His brown eyes glistened in the light from the setting sun.
It was clear they were filled with tears that the teen was holding back.

Joe felt his face blush at Devyn's words. He really wanted to help the kid
get over the crush. He knew that it was just a crush and as soon as Devyn
met a boy closer to his own age and who was caring, passionate and down to
Earth, Devyn would be over the crush. "Thank you for the ego boost," Joe
finally said and he reached out and placed his hand on Devyn's back. "You
will feel differently in time and I think in the end you will be happier
with a boy your own age."

"I doubt that," Devyn said and looked down.

"Time will tell," Joe said. "Now let's go have dinner."

Devyn's counseling sessions were every other week. He followed Joe's
advice and tried to become friends with a couple of the other guys in the
group. He was not sure if they were gay but it did help having friends
with guys that had similar problems to his own.

Devyn still hung out with Terry and Dewayne at school, but not quite as
much as before. He also tried making a few other friends. It was harder
now. Devyn had developed a reputation as one of the bad influences. He
wanted to find a way to set things straight with Joe. That was why when
Terry and Dewayne invited him out again, he turned them down. "Sorry guys,
I can't this weekend. I have a lot of work to do on the farm."

They had pressured him, but in the end they had dropped it. Devyn had
decided that if he lost them as friends, then they were not true friends to
begin with. He wanted other friends. He had actually started hanging out
with a couple of girls and a guy that Devyn suspected of being gay. They
were not the cool kids like Dewayne and Terry and they were not the smart
kids like some of the others they were the average kids. They were more
his speed.

"My sister has invited us to her house for Thanksgiving dinner," Joe told
Devyn in November. They had finished up the last of the harvest the
previous week. Rain had pushed them back and they had just gotten the last
of the crops harvested. "Is that okay with you?"

"Yeah," Devyn said. "I need to thank her for...well for helping me out and
for bringing you to me."

"Then we will drive to her place Thursday morning and maybe even spend the
night there," Joe said.

"Sounds good to me," Devyn said.

Devyn slept in the seat as Joe drove them to his sister's house. "Wake up
sleeping beauty," Joe said and shook Devyn by the shoulder.

"Are we there," Devyn said pulling his body back upright in the seat.

"Almost," Joe answered.

Devyn looked at the nice houses as they passed by the truck window. The
neighborhood reminded him of his own. The homes were new and almost
identical. He realized they did not have the character of Joe's house.
Joe pulled into a driveway and parked next to an SUV. "She has a nice
place," Devyn said.

"Yeah, she has done okay," Joe said.

Joe's sister was pulling the door open before they were half way up the
walk. His sister jumped into his arms and Joe held her tight. "I hate
going months before seeing you again," she said.

"I have missed you to Sis," Joe responded placing her back on the ground.

"Hi Devyn," she said and pulled Devyn into a hug.

"Hi," he said returning the hug. He could not believe he was standing here
in the front yard of the cop that had helped arrest him and he was hugging
that same cop.

"Let's go inside," she said wrapping an arm around Joe's waste and pulling
Devyn along. "Ben will want to meet you," she said to Devyn, "and Travis
can't wait to play with Uncle Joe."

"You have kids?" Devyn asked.

"Oh, I guess Joe didn't tell you," she said.

"It never came up," Joe said. "I should have though."

They walked in the door and into the family room. A blonde boy was playing
and when he glanced up he saw Joe and his face lit up. He cried out and
ran to Joe. Joe scooped the boy up in his arms and pulled him up. He
lifted the kid up into the air had held him over his head. He pretended to
drop him catching him before he fell to far. The whole time the child was
crying in excitement and giggling. Joe then placed the boy down and
squatted down in front of him. He then began speaking and gesturing with
his hands. "Travis," Joe said. "This is my friend Devyn. He has been
staying with me for a few months."

It took Devyn a minute to realize that Joe was not just making gestures
with his hands, but he was signing to the boy. Devyn quickly tried to
control his expression of shock and plastered a smile back on his face.

"Hi," Travis signed.

"Hi," Devyn said in a normal voice.

"Travis is deaf," Joe said and signed. "He's my special little buddy and
one of these days he is going to come and we will put him to work on the
farm."

"Great," Devyn said. "He can do my chores." Joe signed as Devyn spoke.
Devyn was amazed at how quickly Joe's hands made the signs and that the boy
could understand anything from them.

Travis looked at Devyn and then signed to Joe. "No, he doesn't know sign
language," Joe said as he signed.

"Maybe you can teach me?" Devyn said squatting down in front of Travis.

Travis signed yes and nodded. "He says yes," Joe said.

"Yep, I got that one," Devyn said.

"Are you okay if I borrow Joe for a bit?" Hanna asked Devyn.

"Yeah," Devyn said. "I will just get my first lesson in Sign Language and
Travis and I will have a blast."

"Thanks," she said and she and Joe left the two boys playing and Devyn
learning sign.

"He certainly seems like a decent kid," she said when she and Joe were
alone in the kitchen.

"We have had problems, but at heart he is a good boy," Joe said.

"Have you and he...well you know?"

"Sis!" Joe said amazed at her question.

"Well he is a handsome guy," she said. "I just thought maybe..."

"He is young enough to be my son," Joe said.

"Oh, just barely. Besides isn't that the thing now? Men with boys?"

"Not for me," Joe said. "He did however proposition me right off the bat."

"Well there you go," she said. She was placing the finishing touches on
dinner as they talked.

"If I was a couple years younger and he was a couple years older, then
maybe. Right now I just want him to adjust to being a normal kid. He has
had it rough. I was afraid I was losing him there for a while."

"But you didn't. He seems like a new kid. He definitely looks healthier.

"Oh man does he. That first time I saw him undressed was quite the shock.
It was almost like seeing a skeleton.

"Hey Joe," Ben said coming through the door from the garage into the
Kitchen. "Your sister spent hours shopping this week and I still had to go
pick something up she forgot."

Joe and Ben hugged. "Good to see you again Ben."

"Where is the teenager you have been raising?" Ben asked.

"He is in the family room playing with Travis," Hanna answered.

"Is that a good idea?" Ben asked.

"I don't think Travis will hurt him," Hanna said.

"Devyn is clean," Joe said. "He is a good kid."

"He really is," Hanna said. "Joe didn't bother to mention that Travis is
deaf and Devyn barely batted an eye. If all teenagers had that attitude
life would be easier for Travis."

The three adults continued to catch up as Travis and Devyn learned to
communicate. Hanna sent Joe into the family room to retrieve the two boys
for dinner. He stood watching them for a minute before speaking. "Devyn
see if you can tell Travis that dinner is ready."

"Um, okay," Devyn said.

Devyn pointed to Joe and Travis figured out quickly that it was time for
dinner. He signed to Joe as he ran to him. "Devyn is cool, but it is
going to take a long time to teach him sign."

"He will learn fast," Joe signed back.

"Talking about me?" Devyn said coming up beside the two.

"He says you are cool," Joe said.

"So is he," Devyn said.

Dinner was great. Devyn had seconds and thirds and even had room for
pumpkin pie. The three adults signed everything so that Travis would know
what was being said. The pauses to sign to Travis made the meal last
longer and Devyn was glad of that. He was enjoying the company and the
sense of family he was getting from Joe sister and her husband. He learned
that Hanna's husband Ben was also a cop, but he was a detective in the
violent crimes unit. It sounded more exciting to Devyn than the type of
work Hanna did, but not as much fun as living on the farm with Joe.

After dinner they played a couple of card games and then Hanna took Travis
to tuck him into bed. "I am impressed with you Devyn," Ben said.

"Um, thanks, but why?"

"Not to many guys would take advantage of the second chance Joe gave you
and make it like you have."

"Well, I screwed up quite a bit," Devyn said. "But Joe is patient."

"You also are great with Travis," Ben said. "That means a lot to me."

"He is a cool kid. I just wish Joe had told me that he was deaf so I could
have been a little more prepared."

"You handled it fine," Joe said.

"Yeah, but had I known, I might have been able to learn some sign before
today," Devyn said. "I would like to be able to communicate with him
easier."

"It takes time to learn it," Ben said. "Joe actually picked it up faster
than I did. I think it had something to do with all the talking to the
animals on the farm."

"You just can't admit that I am smarter than you," Joe said. "He thinks
because he had some college that he is Mr. Smart."

"You could go to college whenever you want," Ben said. "You could do more
than just run that farm."

"Ah I don't think so," Joe said. "A dumb farmer like me doesn't belong in
college."

"I made the guest room up," Hanna said coming back into the room. "One of
you can sleep there and the other can sleep in here on the sofa."

"I'll take the sofa," Devyn volunteered.

"Or you two could just share the bed," Ben said. "It is a queen sized bed,
so there should be enough room for both of you."

"That is fine with me," Joe said. "Just don't snore."

"Um, I, um don't know," Devyn said feeling shy around the three adults.

"We will work it out," Joe assured Benn and Hanna.

"You two do that," Hanna said. "I will just leave the pillow and stuff
here just in case someone needs it." Ben and Hanna said good night and
went to their room.

"They are really nice," Devyn said after they were gone.

"Yep, they sure are," Joe agreed. "I really do not mind sharing the bed
with you."

"I, um, well I haven't slept with anyone in a long time."

"Don't worry about it Devyn. I have seen you naked and worse. It will be
fine."

"Okay, but if I molest you in your sleep it is your own fault."

"Hmmm, sounds like a nice dream I might have," Joe teased back.

Devyn followed Joe into the spare bedroom. Joe pulled his shirt off and
tossed it onto the floor next to the bed. "Left or right?" Joe asked.

Devyn's eyes slid over the strong back and rippling muscular of Joe's
shoulders. He followed the spine down until it disappeared into Joe's
jeans. "Um, either. It doesn't matter to me."

Joe dropped down on the side of the bed and pulled off his shoes and then
his socks. He stood up and lessened his pants and pulled them down.
Devyn's eyes were watching the man undress. He had seen Joe partially
undressed before but had never slept next to the man. "Are you going to
get undressed or just stand there all night?" "Um, I was, um well, um
thinking about what a good time I had tonight.

Joe rolled onto his back and looked at Devyn. His blue eyes drinking in
the site of his young friend. "I am glad you had fun," Joe said. "I am
glad that you enjoyed yourself."

"Thanks for making me a part of your family," Devyn said. He pulled off
his shirt and kicked off his tennis shoes and then pulled off his socks.
He was soon stripped down to his briefs. He slid into the bed next to Joe.
He stayed as close to the edge of the bed as he could without falling off
the bed. The two lay there for long minutes listening to each other
breathe. Devyn turned to face Joe. His body moving a few inches closer to
the man. "I wish I knew the words to express what I feel right now...I
mean about being a part of this family."

Joe rolled to face Devyn. "You don't have to explain your feelings to me.
If you are happy, then something I did must have been right. I just want
you to always know that you are now a part of my family. That is never
going to change."

"Thanks," Devyn said his eyes glistening in the dark with tears.

Joe reached over and squeezed Devyn's shoulder. Then they moved closer and
hugged for a brief minute. Then the two separated to slide back to their
respective sides of the bed.
