Subject: Dork Chapter One
Hey guys, here's a new story I just wrote. I haven't gotten any feedback on
my other story, "Every book has a story" so I'm guessing a lot of you don't
like it. So here's a new one, I just thought up of. Hopefully I'll get more
feedback on this one then i did with EBHS. This one is more of a high
school story then EBHS so enjoy!
Well here's goes the drill yet again. If you are offended by gays or if
you're not old enough to read this material or to be even on this site,
leave. But it's your poison, you have been warned.
Dork
Chapter One: Two Of A Kind
So here I was just minding my own business during P.E. and here comes a
group of jocks to ruin my day.
"Hey Ryan, how's your day?" Blaine, the head jock, asked.
"Do you really want to know about my day or are you here to just here for
the regular?" I asked.
"What do you think, chink? Now lean against the wall, we're too tired to
beat you on the ground."
I look at the group and they all crack their knuckles. I guess it's to
show that they mean business but honestly, I just think that they look like
a bunch of idiots. But it's their call of course.
"Hey! Fairy boy, I said get up against the wall! This isn't the time for
day dreaming."
"S-Sorry, I-I--."
"Save it. Just do as I say and it'll be over before you know it."
I lean against the wall and close my eyes.
"Can you guys try and not hit me in the same place you guys did last week?
I still have bruises."
"We're not here to negotiate with the likes of you," Alex, one of the jock
goonies, said.
"Please, I-I--."
"Count to three, you're going to want a head start before the pain starts,"
Blaine said.
"One. Two," I stop at two. I can't go on with the counting, if I'm not
pissing my gym shorts by now I'm pretty sure I will soon.
"Three!" The entire group said.
I cringe right when I hear them say three, but nothing happens. I open
my eyes and I see one of their jock friends standing in front of me.
"What do you guys think you're doing? I thought we talked about this last
week? No more picking on Ryan. I thought you wanted the girls back on your
side," Declan, the man that saved--well more like stalled my beating for
another week, said.
"We just wanted to give him a goodbye gift, that's all Dex," Blaine lied.
"Why don't you guys just go play some basketball or go out to the field and
play tackle football? That's where you'll find the ladies."
"You're right, Dex. Thanks for being a good little brother," Blaine said.
The jock group left to go play.
Declan turn to me and asks, "You okay?"
"I'm fine, thanks. So you're Blaine's little brother?" I asked lost. "You
don't look like him."
"I'm not his real brother. His parents adopted me when I was young. We're
only a few months apart."
"So, what grade are you in?"
"What grade are you in?"
"I believe I asked you first."
"I'm a junior."
"Same here."
So Declan and I walk around the gym and talk for the entire class. Then
the coach blows the whistle and everyone except me walk into the locker
room. Since it was the last period of the day, I always wait for all the
guys to get dressed since the last time I changed in there I got turned on
by the half naked guys and of course Blaine and his goons beat me up for
it. I learned my lesson since then. As I watched all the guys walk out of
the locker room and watched them leave the gym, I walked into the locker
room and checked around to make sure everyone was gone (I've been a bit
paranoid since I'm the locker room's punching bag). When I was sure that no
one was there, I walked to my locker, to my surprise none of my things were
stolen which is unusual since Blaine usually puts my things in the trash. I
guess Declan really did stop them. I gave myself a small smile and peeled
off my shirt which revealed dark blue splotches all over my chest and
arms. I then shimmied my shorts off which also revealed the same dark blue
splotches on my legs. I got dressed into my grey skinny jeans and large
plain white tee. I put on my fake lensless black glasses, covered my black
short hair with my black beanie slouching only leaving the long side fringe
showing. I slung my messenger bag on across my chest, slight pain stung
through my nerves due to heavy books. As I turn around, I notice Declan
standing a few feet behind me with his mouth open.
"How long have you been standing there?" I asked scared.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know that they were treating you this badly," was all
Declan could say.
"Don't worry about it, it's part of my daily routine for high school. It's
been happening since Freshman year. I hardly notice," I lied.
"That doesn't mean it's right. I'll go talk to my brother about it. Have
him apologize to you."
"Don't worry about it. I am grateful you got them to stop, but you'll just
be refueling the fire if you do that."
"But I just feel like there's more that I can do, something that--."
"How about we just stick with being friends, unless we're not friends which
I can understand."
"You don't have many friends, do you?"
"Besides you? I have no one unless you count my coworkers. I mean I have
family but I can't really tell them that I get beat up."
"Why not? If they knew, they could get--."
"You don't know my family. They're brutal, when I dressed up like a
girl--."
"You cross dress?" Declan asked a bit disgusted.
"I did it on a dare and I don't back down from bets."
Declan and I continue our conversation as we walk out of the locker
room, then out of school, then walking on home.
"That's weird," I said out in the open.
"What's weird?"
"Don't all Argiris' have cars?"
"I do."
"Then why are you walking with me when you can simply drive home? Are you
leaving your car here?"
"What? You pushing me away already?"
"What? N-No, that's not what I meant," I panicked.
"Chill. I was only joking," he laughed.
"Oh my geez, you're such a jerk!" I said punching his arm.
"Hey, don't punch me!" he smiled as he punched my arm landing a hit
directly on one of my bruises.
"Ow!" I cried.
"Shit, sorry. I forgot."
"You know what hurts more than your brother and his goons? Hitting a
bruise," I said rubbing my arm.
"Now you're making me feel bad," Declan whined.
There was an awkward five minutes silence well except for the sounds of
our footsteps on the gravel. Finally, I broke the silence.
"Hey, Declan?"
"What?"
"You never told me why you stood up for me. I mean was it just a random act
of kindness?"
"Well last week, I overheard Blaine and his friends talking about how they
were going to `murder' you. I mean I know they're jerks but I didn't think
anything bad from it, but just to be safe I looked you up on facebook. I
checked out some of your notes and wow, you really speak your mind on your
beatings."
"So let me get this straight, you facebook stalked me and read my notes?
Wow, I have a stalker and it's Blaine's little brother. Creepy."
"You wish I was stalking you," Declan laughed.
"I don't need to wish, I got you doing the job," I laughed back.
We laughed for a good minute and then we got silent. Declan led me to
his car and damn it wasn't what I was expecting. I was expecting like a
Hummer or a tank, but he had a Toyota Prius, a hybrid of the sorts.
"You've got to be kidding me!" I yelled.
"Is there something wrong with my car?" Declan asked defensive.
"No, it's just that your family is known to have expensive cars that feed
heavily on gas or have imported sports cars. I'm just shocked that you have
a Prius."
"I'm not into the whole buying expensive material objects, plus this car
has great mileage."
"I know. Ever since this car first came out on the market, I wanted to get
it, but money is kinda tight right now."
"You want to drive it?" Declan asked dangling his keys in my face.
"Really? I can drive your car?"
"Well as long as you have your license."
"I do! I always carry it," I said.
I pulled out my license and showed him. He smiled.
"What? Is there something wrong with my license?"
"No, I just didn't think you'd pull out your license for me. I was joking
you know. About the license and the driving. I'm not trusting you with my
car."
"WHAT?! No!"
Declan just smiles and laughs. He gets into his car and rolls down the
windows.
"You coming?"
"Of course!" I said hoping into his car.
I threw my bag in the back and buckled in. Declan looks at me again and
laughs.
"What is it this time? You know I'm getting pretty tired of you laughing at
me."
"It's just that, I've never seen someone get excited to be in my
car. Usually girls, call me a fag cause I have a hybrid when I could have
clearly gotten a Lamborghini."
"Well there's a flaw to that, I'm not a girl, I don't have a cave."
"A cave? Is that what you refer to the vagina as?" Declan smiles.
"Well I'm not going to call it a pussy, now am I?"
"I guess not. I find you cute how you're so giddy."
"Cute? Are you hitting on me?" I asked.
"Just because you're gay and I'm a guy doesn't mean I'm hitting on
you. Yes, I called you cute but I'm just stating the obvious. You're like a
little kid but in teenager form. Which I think is cute."
"In my book, that's total flirtation on your part. Are you sure you`re
straight? "
"Think what you want, it was just a simple compliment. And about me being
straight, I`ll leave that to your imagination."
"Not fair! You can tell me right? We're friend."
"I'm afraid whatever answer I give you, you're going to pounce on me like a
lion well in your case a kitty," Declan laughs.
I cross my arms and slouch in the leather seats. Declan looks over at
me and taps my shoulder. I don't respond.
"Ryan."
"Hmph."
"Oh come on, dude. What if I kissed you, would that make you feel better?"
"W-What? You know I`ve never kissed a white guy before, well I`ve never
kissed a guy before but I`m totally up for it!" I looked at Declan with my
eyes wide open.
"That got you to respond."
" I hate you," I growled crossing my arms.
Declan smiles and drives off.
