Dylian
Chapter 2
As soon as Bruce was out the door, I turned my attention to Mark
and Brian, my over paid lawyers. "Who do we know that can get me custody
of Dylian now and Simon as soon as we have him, WITHOUT going though CPS?"
Brian thought about this for a minute before he answered, "There is
someone that just might do it for us. Let me make a few calls real quick."
Before the last word was out of his mouth he was on the phone.
While we were waiting for Brian, I thought of something else that
needed doing. "Miles, tomorrow can you get someone to open up the old
house, I think its time to move back and make it a home."
"Drew, are you sure? That house holds some painful memories for
you that haven't been dealt with. Do you really think it's a good idea to
deal with them now with Dylian and maybe Simon, with the fragile states
they are in?" Miles asked with concern written all over his face.
"Yeah, I know, but I think that it would be good to be able make a
fresh start. Its not like I haven't been out there, I just don't go in the
house. But, I think that a little family history would be good for the
boys, kind of bring things into reality. Plus, this condo was always just
meant for me to stay just during the week. I never planed on living here
full time, and no way are the boys going to be going to school here in the
city. I think that Donnie and Dylian have already hit it off to be
friends, so having him closer to you would be a big plus as well. I do not
want to buy another house, when I own 4 already."
"Alright, I will get Helen to see if she can find someone starting
tomorrow. I will keep you posted." Miles said still sounding a little
worried that I was opening my self up to heartache. Knowing that I had not
stepped foot inside that house for more then 17 years worried him. I had
been kicked out of that house when I was 20 years old.
--** Flash Back **--
I had come home from collage one weekend, and told my parents that
I was gay. To say it didn't go over well would be an understatement. My
Father yelled and then beat me to a bloody pulp. My sister, Kari, helped
me over to Miles house to get help. When she got back to my parents house,
my Mother had collapsed. She died three days later of a massive stroke. I
didn't go to her funeral; I had received a restraining order preventing it.
My sister didn't speak to me for 6 years after that. I finished collage on
my own. I started my company on my own. I made my money on my own. My
Father never spoke another word to me. My sister told me that he never
spoke my name and all pictures of me had been removed from the house. She
kept me informed on how things were going, he died of lung cancer yet he
never asked for me. My sister married Tom, now the Governor, and was very
happy. She got pregnant with her first child, a girl, however, she died
during childbirth. Lisa, my Niece is now 3 years old. But for some reason
the entire Family Estate was left to me prior to my sister's death. She
had been left out of My Fathers will completely. I moved $300 million of
the Family Estate to my Nieces name as soon as my sister died. This was
just over half the estate. Since my Sisters death, I have used the Family
Home as a storage garage for my car collection. I have not stepped foot
inside the house since the day my Father tossed me out. The servant's
apartment above the garage has been my place of residence. Now it was time
to make that old house into a loving home.
--** End Flash Back
**--
About this time Brian came back looking very happy. But, before he
could tell us what he found out the phone rang.
"Hello?" I said picking up the phone wondering who would be
calling this number at this time of night. Not very many people had this
number.
"Drew, its Tom. I am holding a press conference tomorrow morning
at 8:30 am. From what we have been able to figure out, this thing is huge.
It is more then just State wide. I have contacted the FBI and they are
sending a task force to try and help. I have been in contact with other
states to see if I can get CPS workers from those states to come help get
ALL the kids back where they belong. I am calling for a complete
investigation of the state CPS system and ALL its employees. I have also
called for an audit of every case file. I want these kids found." Tom
told me in tears.
"If you are doing all that then I think you should hold off on the
Press conference until the investigation is started. Other wise some of
the offenders might take off or try to get rid of evidence, which might
mean the kids themselves!" I told Tom.
"Yes, your right. I didn't think about that. Ok, there will be an
FBI agent contacting you tomorrow to get a statement from you seeing how
you started all this." He said with a slight chuckle. "I will keep you
posted on how things are going from this side, will you do the same?" He
asked
"Only for you Tommy Boy." I said laughing. After hanging up the
phone I turned my attention to Brian, "Ok, so what did you find out?"
"Well, I called a friend of mine who is the clerk for Judge Mason,
she called the Judge and told him what we knew so far. The Judge was
pissed to say the least, but she said that we would have Court Orders for
Dylian as soon as court opens tomorrow. She said she would like to hold
off on issuing a court order for Simon until he was found, but I told her
that having it issued would help in getting the child back, she agreed. So
at 7 am tomorrow, you will be the legal guardian of Dylian and Simon. NOT
their Foster Father." Brian said with a proud smile.
"Thank you Brian. I think you have earned your pay for the night."
I joked.
I was just about to tell everyone that I thought that we had done
as much as we could when Bruce called and let us know that the `Foster
Father' had given up the info on where and who he had sold Simon to. He
told me that he and his team were on their way to rescue Simon. I thanked
him and told him to keep me posted, but that no matter what I wanted Simon.
"SIMONN...NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH SIMON, PLEASE DON'T
GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Dylian screamed in his sleep.
I got up and ran into the room, Donnie was already awake and
holding Dylian trying to calm him down. I picked up Dylian and started
rocking him telling him everything would be ok.
"Dylian, sweetie it's ok, everything will be ok, and we will get Simon back
you'll see..." I whispered in his ear.
"No, he is in trouble. He is hurt. I don't think that your guy is
going to get to him in time." Dylian told me with a serious look. I
picked up my cell phone and called Bruce.
"Hello?" Bruce said as he answered his phone.
"Bruce, it's Me, Drew. Now, I am not going to explain my self
right now, but Get Simon now. No waiting to plan. Just go get him. He is
in danger and you don't have any time to waste."
"But, Boss..." he tried to say
"NO, I MEAN NOW!!!" I yelled into the phone and then in a calmer
voice, "Bruce, you have never questioned me before, why start now."
"Ok boss, I don't like it, but I will do it..." With that I ended
the call and looked at Dylian.
"Ok, Sweetie, he is going to get your brother right now. We should
hear something very soon." I told him looking him in the eye.
"I don't think it's too late, but I feel he is already hurt badly.
I am scared, what's going to happen to me now. Do I have to go back to the
group home, or a new foster?" Dylian asked as he started crying again.
"No Son, you are home. Here with ME. Tomorrow we will get the
paperwork that makes it legal, but it's all said and done. I am your Legal
Guardian, and No one can do anything about that! You are my son now!" I
told him as I gave him a hug. He pulled out of the hug and looked into my
eyes, then wrapped his little arms around my neck and squeezed so tight.
"I love you Daddy! Thanks for finding me." He cried.
"I love you too, Son." I said rocking him. He didn't last to
long. I soon felt the deep slow breathing that comes with sleep. So I
laid him back down next to the already sleeping Donnie. I kissed both boys
on their foreheads and whispered goodnight.
Getting back out to the living room, I realized that the others had
all retired for the night. Miles was in my bedroom with Debbie, Brian and
Mark were sacked out on my pullout couch. So, it was either the floor or
the boy's bed for me. I decided to get a cup of hot tea and hope for a
phone call from Bruce before turning in. I figured I would crash with the
boys so I would be there if Dylian had another nightmare. I had no sooner
put the kettle on the stove when my cell phone rang.
"Yes?"
"Drew, I have him, but..." Bruce started, "You need to get to
Children's Hospital ASAP, Bring Deb, but DON'T bring Dylian."
"Bruce, I take it Simon isn't ok, but what is wrong with him"
"Drew, just get there, fast." Bruce said then hung up the phone.
I ran into the master bedroom and woke up Miles and Debbie. I
asked Miles to stay with the boys while telling Debbie that I needed her to
go to the Hospital with me. I repeated as much as I could of what Bruce
had told me. I didn't know all that much and that pissed Debbie off. But
Debbie knew Bruce, if he said she was needed, then she knew she was needed.
I was ready to leave when Mark and Brian came up and said they were coming
with us.
"Just in case Drew." Brian said.
The four of us headed down to the complex garage where my cars
were. We got in my Bentley and headed to the Hospital. It took about 20
min to get there, and we parked into the Emergency Room Parking area and
Ran into the building.
I ran up to the Info desk and asked for Simon Price. "I'm sorry
sir; I don't have a Simon Price listed." The nurse said.
"You must." I turned to Debbie and looked at her like I was going
to lose it. She took over.
"Nurse, I am Dr. Debbie Edwards, I know a child around 15 years old
was brought in to the ER by our friend Bruce Thomason, this man here" she
said pointing at me. "is the Childs legal Guardian. Now, I don't know what
name they brought him in under, but I need you to go back and find out
where he is, NOW!" Debbie said in a very professional voice.
I don't think I have ever seen a nurse jump as high as that one
did. She was though the back doors to the ER before I could say
anything. "Thanks Debbie. I didn't know what to do, I am not often at a
lose for words, but this isn't like anything I have dealt with and I am so
scared. What if..."
"Drew, don't even start with that. He will be fine, and YOU will
get though this." She said to me. I was going to say something back to
her when the nurse came back out, with Bruce.
"Sir, are you Drew Thomas?" The nurse asked.
"Yes, that would be me. Why?" I said looking at her and then at
Bruce.
"I am sorry sir; I thought you said that you were looking for Simon
Price, Not Simon Thomas. He is up in X-ray right now. But you can go back
as soon as they bring him back down. The Doctor would like Dr. Edwards to
join him in the back. The rest of you can wait out here."
"Drew, I will come get you as soon as I know something or they
bring him back down." And with that she was gone.
"Drew, I am so sorry. I thought that what with you having custody
you would ask for Simon Thomas, not Price, I didn't know his last name."
Bruce said while looking at his feet.
"It's Ok Bruce. I just kind of freaked out there for a little bit.
So, please tell me what happened and what is up with Simon."
"Simon is in pretty bad shape. I am not going to lie to you. It
looked like he wouldn't let them do what they wanted him to, so they beat
him. Then they would let him heal up, then try again. They made him do
all the household chores because he wouldn't do what the other would. Then
once he was healed, they would try again, and again he would refuse and
fight them and they would beat him damn near to death." Bruce told me.
"I think I know what they were trying to make him do, but what
about the others, what did you do with them?"
Bruce took a deep breath and looked down at his shoes again and
mumbled, "Sorry boss, didn't know what else to do so I had the doctor admit
them here and said you would pay" he looked up sheeply at me.
"Good, I was worried there for a second. Are the others OK
physically? Are they hurt?"
"No Boss, all three boys are fine physically other then the sexual
abuse they were treated fine. One of the boys, Even he is 16, he told me
the boys kept trying to get Simon to comply with the men so that he
wouldn't get beat. But, Simon was head strong that he would rather die
then be a whore like his mama."
"Damn, Ok, so how bad do you think Simon is?" I asked.
"Boss, I can't even say. He wasn't conscience when I got there.
Tyler, the 13 year old told me that he passed out last night after his
beating for the day. He hadn't seen him or heard from him since last night
around 8 or so. Even said that it was a real bad beating, the worse he had
gotten. He didn't think that Simon would live though it. But, he didn't
pass out until after Even took him back to his cell. Boss, I broke both
the legs of the guys holding the boys, and left them for the FBI. But, I
still don't feel I did enough to hurt those assholes." Bruce started
tearing up. "Boss, I know that you are going to take Simon and Dylian, but
I want to help out. I don't know if Bess will let me but I would take any
one of those boys in and give them a home."
"Thanks Bruce. We will see what happens. I don't think I could
handle more then 2 boys, but I promise you this, those three will not
suffer. I will make sure they are taken care of. But Bruce, what is the
other boys name and age?" I asked him.
"Andy and he is 14. Yeah I know, 13, 14, 15, 16 and they were
trying to buy a 9 year old as well. These guys needs to be hurt. But, I
also found their client listing. Are you going to want a copy of it before
the FBI gets it?"
"No, I am going to stay out of that end of things. I will let Tom
and the FBI deal with them, I have already let Tom know that I will
publicly crucify him if this thing isn't handled right. I trust he will
take care of things. He knows damn well that I won't let the fact that he
is Family get in the way. He chose to become the Governor, He will be held
to that position."
About this time Debbie came out to get me so that I could go back
to where Simon was. She didn't look all that happy.
"Drew he is not awake yet, but that is a good thing. He would be
in a lot of pain if he had been awake for the past eight hours. He has a
broken Tibia, and he have reset it and casted it, but what we are more
worried about is that he has a fracture to the front of his skull. There
doesn't appear to be any bleeding around the fracture, and there isn't any
splintering of the fracture it's self. However, it appears this isn't the
only injuries he has had. Most of the other injuries have healed nicely
with one exception. And that is to his Fibula. He will either have to
have surgery, or will walk with a limp. I don't know and can't say if this
will cause him any pain, but right now it's not important. What is
important is the skull fractures, the new one and the several old ones. I
don't know what kind of damage these have done or will do in the future.
We will have to wait on that until Simon wakes up. But, for now, you just
need to get in there and hold his hand and let him know he will be safe,
loved, and that you have Dylian." Debbie told me in her Doctors voice.
She led me into a room where there was a dark haired boy lying on a
bed. Eyes closed. Tubes coming out everywhere. I pulled a chair up next
to the bed and picked up his hand. I just sat there for a while not saying
anything looking at his face. Finally after about 10 min, I said to him,
"Simon, my name is Drew Thomas, and I am your Legal Guardian, not your
foster parent. I found your brother Dylian, and he asked me to help find
you, so I did. You are safe! I will never let anyone hurt you EVER again.
Dylian is at my condo with my best friend right now. I won't tell him we
found you until you wake up, I don't think it would be a good idea for him
to see you like this. I know it going to drive him nuts if I don't let him
come see you, what do you think? Simon I am going to need your help here,
I don't know how to raise a child. I know Dylian is very smart, but I am
going to need your help. I want you to know that I love that kid with all
my heart. And even though I haven't met you, I will tell you I think I
love you too. Yeah, I am sure that I love you too, son. I am going to
push for adoption as soon as you tell me it what you want. I can't tell
you how proud I am of you. You stuck to your guns and didn't give in to
what they wanted you to. Simon, they damn near beat you to death and if
what Dr. Debbie said is true, this isn't the first time. I wish I had your
strength. I am proud to call you my son. My eldest son, I really like the
sound of that. Oh, Simon... Please come back to me!" I cried
"why...would...you...want...me...as...a...son?" came a whispered
gasp.
"Oh God SIMON!" I damn near screamed. I pushed the call button to
call for Debbie. "Oh Simon, why wouldn't I want you as a son. You're a
strong, smart, damn good looking kid who has a little brother who thinks
the world revolves around. I don't care if you are gay, bi, straight,
punk, blue, goth, or just plumb crazy I already love you. I know that you
don't have clue as to who I am so I will just tell you that I have already
taken steps and had both you and your little brother made my Legal Guardian
and CPS is under the control of the FBI because of your little brother." I
told him in a rush right before Debbie came in.
"Simon, good to see you awake. My name is Dr. Debbie Edwards, but
you can call me Dr. Debbie for now. When did you wake up?" Debbie asked.
"Right...before...he...came...in" He gasped out. I was glad he
heard what I had said and that it was heart felt.
"I...didn't...know...who...he...was" he gasped.
"Ok, OK, Simon I don't want you talking anymore right now, just nod
or shake your head, OK?" She asked as Simon nodded his head.
"OK good, now Simon I want you to answer yes or no only. If you
can't then don't answer at all, ok?" He nodded, "good, are you having
trouble breathing?" Simon shook his head. "Good, does you throat hurt?"
He nodded yes, "Ok, we will get you something for that and make sure
everything is ok." Debbie said as she was getting ready to leave.
"I...can't...see." He gasped out.
Debbie froze then turned and looked at him and said, "Don't speak,
is this new?" he shook his head. "OK Simon, we will get that looked at.
But for right now, I don't want you talking. Mr. Thomas, can I see you out
in the hall for a moment, we will need to get a few consent forms signed."
Debbie said to me.
"Sure Doc. Simon, Sweetie, I will be right back, OK?" He nodded
his head, but didn't let go of my hand. "Sweetie, you are going to have to
let go of my hand if I am going to be able to come back." I chuckled. He
finally let go and I headed out to talk with Debbie.
"OK, first off why the MR. Thomas crap? And why can't he talk?
And what is wrong with his eyes?" I asked as soon as I had walked up to
her.
"Drew, he is too scared to understand our connection right now. We
will let him know soon, but I felt and still feel that he is hanging on to
reality by a tread. I think you have made some bond with him, and that is
so great. I don't want to jeopardize that right now. As for your other
questions, I think his larynx has been damaged, this is just a guess but we
will find out soon. As for his sight, well that worries me a lot. I want
to find out more info from him, but I don't want him talking until I get Ed
down here to look at his voice." She informed me. I saw a very large man
in a dark grey suit walking down the hall towards us heading for the nurses
station.
"Nurse, I am Special Agent Jackson with the FBI. I need to talk
with one of your patients. Were is Simon Price?" He demanded form from
the duty nurse, who was an old battle ax herself.
"I am sorry Agent Jackson, we do not have any Simon Price's as a
patients." She said with a strait face.
"I know damn well that he is here and that this is the ward he is
in. Now, if you value your job you had best tell me where he is, and do it
NOW!" He almost yelled at her.
"NOW you hear me Agent. This is a children's Hospital. I am the
Head Nurse for this floor, and I will not let YOU or anyone else come in
here and start getting all nasty and loud. There are sick kids on this
floor that don't need to hear your raised voice. If you scare on hair on
anyone of my kids here, you will need more then the great FBI to protect
you. Am I understood?" She said to him sounding like a very stern Mom.
"yes ma'em, I am sorry. But it is very important that I talk with
this child so that we can put some very bad men away. I will do anything I
can not to scare him, or anyone else." He said sounding much more docile.
"Well, that's much better sir. As you know you can't talk to a
minor with out his Guardian or a lawyer and he has both. I didn't lie to
you when I said we didn't have a Simon Price here, he is listed under a
different name. Hang on, Sir would you come over here?" She said to me as
Debbie and I were starting to head over anyway. "Agent Jackson, I would
like for you to meet Mr. Drew Thomas, Simon's Guardian, and Dr. Debbie
Edwards, his doctor. Dr Edwards, Mr. Thomas this is Special Agent Jackson
with the FBI." Nurse Speary said making the introductions.
"Doc, Mr. Thomas; it's nice to meet you. I will do what you tell
me, but I need to talk with the boy as soon as possible." Agent Jackson
said.
"Agent Jackson, Simon has been severally hurt. He is not allowed
to talk at all, so any questions would have to be in a `yes or no' format.
I do not want him getting upset for any reason. I also want you to
remember that in this setting I can and will tell you to leave if I feel he
is in any danger at all. Are we in agreement?" Debbie told him.
"Yes doctor. I will agree to those terms." He said to her then
turned to me, "Mr. Thomas, I will respect the fact that you are acting as
his legal guardian, but as I understand it, you are not as of yet."
"You're wrong there. Judge Mason already declared me as his legal
guardian only the paperwork needs to be filed, but its official. I also
have a lawyer hired for Simon as well as one for all three of the other
boys taken in. You will not speak to any of the boys with out me and the
lawyer there. These boys have been through hell, I will not see them upset
in anyway." I told him.
"Good! I like you Mr. Thomas. And may I say thank you for
bringing this all to our attention. I don't think I could ever dream
something like this was going on right here. Dr. Edwards, when can I speak
to Simon?" Agent Jackson said with a smile and what appeared to be a
changed attitude.
"You can speak to him now, but remember he is not to talk. Yes or
No questions only! Drew, I think it would be best if you went in and
prepared him first. Have Brian or Mark stand by, but don't have them talk
while in the room. I want to try to limit the number of people that he has
to interact with until he is more stable." Debbie told me.
"Brian, will you do that?" I asked my lawyer as I turned to see
him and Mark hovering close by.
"With out a doubt! And I will even keep my mouth shut." Mark
burst out laughing when Brian said this.
"Good. Agent Jackson I will come out to get you when I get Simon
ready." With that I turned and went in to Simon's room.
"Simon, it's me Drew. Remember, don't try to talk, OK?" He nodded
his head. "Simon, there is and FBI agent that needs to talk to you." I
could see him stiffen and getting scared. "But, don't worry about a thing
I will be here with you the whole time, and so will your lawyer, yes you
have your own lawyer. His name is Brian, well he is one of mine. He and
his partner Mark are lawyers for me. Don't tell him I told you this but
Brian and Mark are partners in every since of the word, yes they are gay.
I hope that don't bother you that they are that way. But, they are great
guys and I trust them with my life. I even trust them with my Eldest Son!
So are you ok to hear what the FBI guy has to say?" I asked him as a smile
spread across his face. He nodded yes, but before I could go get Agent
Jackson, he grabbed my hand.
"Am...I...really...your...eldest...son?" He gasped out.
"YES! In my heart and sole you are my eldest son. All we have to
do is make it legal, but that just a mute point. I love you so much!" I
told him as tears rolled down my face.
"I...love...you...too." He gasped. I could see tears on his face
as well. I go a towel and wiped his face then kissed him on the cheek and
forehead.
"You ready?" I asked. He nodded yes. "Ok, I will go out and get
him. I will be right back and then I want your hand to hold." I teased.
I went out into the hall where the others were waiting. I wanted
to make sure that the FBI guy knew Simons condition.
"Agent Jackson, I just want to make sure you know Simon is in a
very fragile state right now. He can't talk. He can't see. He doesn't
know you, barely knows me. Please be careful of what you say and ask." I
told the big FBI agent.
"Don't worry Mr. Thomas. I think you will be surprised how well
this will go." He replied with a smile.
"Ok, then lets go see my boy." I said with a sigh.
When we walked into the room I went strait to Simon and grabbed his
hand. A smile spread across his face. I looked up as the FBI guy and he
had a great big grin on his face.
"Simon, Special Agent Jackson with the FBI is here to talk to you.
Both myself and your Lawyer, Brian who is also here, have checked his ID
and made sure he is legit. Remember you are not to try and speak." I told
Simon and he was nodding his head in response.
"Simon, I am Special Agent Robert Jackson. I am here to talk to
you today about what you went though for the past month. I want you to
know that I think you are one of the bravest people that I have ever had
the privilege to meet. I am sure that you think that what I just said was
stupid, that you didn't do anything brave, but by sticking to your believes
even though you knew you would be beaten or could even die, that is the
definition of what bravery is. So it is my honor and duty to present you
with a medal of bravery for bringing this situation to our attention and
standing for what was right." At that point he handed me a box that held
the little gold medal. I took it and moved Simon's hand so that he could
feel the medal. "I know that at some point I am going to need to get a
statement from you, but your doctor won't allow you to talk and that's ok
with me. It can wait. I will keep in contact with your dad here, and when
you are ready then we will sit down and talk. Is that OK?" Agent Jackson
asked Simon.
Simon nodded his head. "Great. Simon, it was an honor to meet you
and I look forward to working with you in the future. I will not stop tell
the men that hurt you are punished." Then he turned to me, "Mr. Thomas, I
will need to talk with the other three boys before I leave. I don't know
if you have talked with them or not."
"No, my head of security Bruce Miller is taking care of them. I
know that they are here but I don't know where. Their lawyer is right out
side I trust you will be as gentle with them as you were here?" I said to
him.
"Yes, not a problem there. I will be very gentle with them. I
just need to have them look at some photos so that we can make some IDs."
He said.
"Ok, Mark is out in the hall he can take you up." I said.
"Goodbye Simon. I will see you another day." Agent Jackson said.
Simon waved his fingers at him. Then he and Brian left the room.
"Wow Simon. I have to tell you I was worried about what he wanted
to talk to you about. But, I had no clue you were going to get a medal. I
am so proud of you. I hope he didn't upset you when he called me your dad,
but I have to tell you that they have you registered under the name Simon
Thomas, not Simon Price." Simon started crying. I was worried that I had
really upset him. "Simon, what's wrong."
"You...really...want...to...be...my...dad." He gasped out. It
wasn't a question but a statement.
"I would be honored to be your dad, and yes I want that very much.
I love both you and Dylian with all my heart." I cried with him.
When we both stopped crying he said "Dad...please...call...Dy."
"Ok, sweetie. I will call Miles and have him bring Dylian here.
Let me go out so that I can use my cell phone. Then you and I will have a
little talk before they get here." He nodded and let go of me. I headed
out in the hall way and asked Debbie to call the condo to ask Miles to
bring Dylian to see his brother. I decided that I needed to come clean
with Simon so that there were no surprises. So after talking with Debbie I
headed back into Simon's room.
I sat down by Simon's bed and just looked upon his face. His eyes
were closed and his breathing was slow. For a little while I thought that
he was asleep.
"Dad...is...that...you?" He gasped out.
"Yes son, now don't talk. You know what the doctor said. Simon
sweetie, I need to talk to you before your brother gets here. I haven't
told him any of this, but I didn't think he was old enough, and there
wasn't all that much time. But you are old enough to make decisions and
have a say in things. No matter what you decide I will support you and
make sure you are taken care of. If what I tell you makes you uncomfortable
and you want me to leave or don't want to live with me then I will
understand. First off, I am gay." I took a deep breath and waited for him
to show some sign of disgust or something. But there was nothing but a
smile. "From your smile I take it you are ok with me being gay?" He
nodded quickly. "Well, thanks. I am so glad that your ok and that you
don't hate me. Next thing is, I am Drew Thomas of DJT Enterprises Inc., I
don't know if you have ever heard of it?" His eyes were huge like saucers.
"Ok, I take it from your expression that you have heard of it. Well then
you know that I have a little money. I am not going to tell you just how
much I have, but let's just say that your grandkid's grandkids won't have
to worry about money." He got a big smile on his face when I said that.
"I am going to make sure that the other three boys that were where you were
kept are taken care of as well. They will be set up so they won't have to
worry about collage or anything like that. I will also make sure they find
good homes." He was not smiling but he was nodding. "I want you to know
that I will do everything within my power to protect you and your brother.
I never want to see either of you hurting ever again." At this point I
started crying. I felt his hand squeeze mine tightly.
Debbie poked her head in the door, "Drew, Miles and the boys are
here. If you don't come out and talk to this little boy I think he is to
combust."
"Ok, thanks Deb. That would be your little brother who never gave
up finding you! I want to go and talk to him. Let him know what has
happened to you with your voice and eyes so that he don't freak out. OK?"
He nodded when I told him this. I kissed him on his forehead and headed
out of the room to see Dylian.
Dylian ran up to me and jumped into my arms. "Daddy, your ok!" He
screamed.
"Of course I am ok. Why wouldn't I be?" I asked confused.
"Cause your at the hospital. Uncle Miles said that you were at the
hospital and we had to get there ASAP. I thought that you were hurt." He
said as tears rolled down his pretty little face.
"Oh, my sweet little guy, No nothing bad has happened to me. But,
something did happen." He looked at me like I had two heads. "See, I
found my Eldest Son. His name is Simon." The scream that broke out of
that little boy was deafening. I was surprised that there weren't windows
breaking.
"You found him! Oh I can't believe you found him. Where is he, I
want to see him. Take me to him, please," All came out in a rush.
"Ok, but first I need to explain a couple of things to you. OK?"
I asked looking into his eyes. I sent and sat at down in the waiting room
and had him on my lap looking into my face. "The people that took Simon
hurt him real bad." No-one said I was good at this, as soon as I said this
he started crying. "Simon can't see and he can't talk right now.
Dr. Debbie is going to do everything she can to help him, but we will just
have to wait and see. Right now he is pretty battered up and in a lot of
pain, so be careful, OK" he nodded and sniffed.
"Ok Daddy, I will be a big boy and not cry in front of him. I just
want him to be ok! Can we go to him now?" He said wiping his eyes.
"Ok son, let's go see your big brother." I picked him up and set
him on his feet grabbed his hand and headed for Simon's room.
