Finding Myself Within Eric, Chapter 13

That night we slept in each other's arms. No fears, no worries, just
me and him in that moment. I often wondered was this all a dream or some
sick fantasy, but when I pulled away, he pulled me right back. Whispering
`I love you' or running his fingers threw my hair. I never knew that I
could have a love like this. I never knew that my life could mean something
more then existence.

I woke up the next morning to the sun shining brightly through my
bedroom window. I groaned slightly not wanting yesterday to end, but also
knowing a brand new day with Eric was about to start. I reached over
expecting to feel him right beside me, but he wasn't there. I jumped out of
bed, looking around the room, then heading to check to see if he was in the
bathroom. But he wasn't there. I begun to feel heartbroken, thinking that
maybe yesterday was all a big dream. I turned back around, heading back to
my room, when I felt a pair of arms coming around me.

"Looking for me?"

I smiled leaning back into him, as I felt his lips softly graze
upon my neck.

"I got worried when you wasn't bed."

"I went to see if my mom was still here. I was so happy to see you that I
forgot she was here."

"Oh, and I thought that you had ran out on me."

"Never sweetheart."

"Sweetheart? Well that's new."

"Yes, well you are one Jack. You are as sweet as they come."

I couldn't help but smile, turning around and kissing him softly.

"Is your mom still here? I would love to meet her more formally."

"No, your mom let her use the guest room last night. She had to leave early
this morning for a meeting with a client."

"When will she be back?"

"Later this evening. Do you want to go get some lunch?"

"Lunch? What about breakfast?"

"Babe, it's after one in the afternoon. No one around here is serving
breakfast."

"Why don't we order some pizza?"

"Pizza sounds good."

I didn't want to let him know that I wasn't up to driving yet after
the accident. I had not even noticed it since then; I guess I had so much
other stuff on my mind that was the last thing I was thinking about. I went
downstairs to order the pizza, before heading back upstairs I stopped by
the library. My mom was sitting in the chair looking over a bunch of law
books.

"Hey Mom, can we talk for a second."

She looked up away from the book she was in, motioning me over to
her desk. I went over and hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry for saying all that stuff Mom. I didn't mean it. You have been
so amazing through this whole ordeal. More than I thought you would be."

"It's okay. I know that you did not mean any of it. You're my son, you come
first always."

"Thank you. You and dad mean so much to me."

"And you mean a lot to us. But Jack, you need help. Your father and I have
talk to a good therapist and he has agreed to start you on some therapy
sessions after school three times a week, or however much is needed."

"Thank you. I admit, I do need help dealing with everything. But my
greatest help right now is knowing I have Eric back."

"I know son, but you need to realize there will be times where he won't be
able to be there, that sometimes you need to stand on your own two feet. He
cannot carry both you and himself. Do you understand what I mean?"

I nod hugging her tightly again. I'm glad that we are able to form
such a great bond now. I'm glad that she is here in my life when I need her
the most. Her and my father. I head the doorbell ring, and I kiss my mom on
the cheek before going to answer it. It was the pizza guy, I have him the
money and a very large tip, before taking the pizza and heading back
upstairs to Eric.

"What took you so long I missed you?"

He was laying across my bed on his back. Stretching his amazing
body for full view. He had is shirt off, and the muscles of his chest and
ads seemed to be more well defined. Almost chiseled, but more lean. I moved
closer to the bed, to get a better view of perfection, but the closer I
got, the more I saw the tiny scars, and scraps over his chest and
sides. The needle marks on his arms, even still the faint redness of
tissue. This quickly saddens me and he noticed. He got up, taking the
pizza from my head and laying it on the bed.

"It is not your fault."

"Yes it is. I got so angry that I lost control of the car. I could have
killed you."

"But you didn't."

"But I could have. I nearly did."

Tears begun to swell in my eyes. I couldn't bare to look at him
anymore. But in all this I felt the warmness of his arms wrap around me,
holding me close. He ran his hands down my back, soothing me as I sobbed on
his shoulder.

"I'm so sorry Eric, for all this."

"Shhh, it's okay. I'm not sorry. Not one bit. In all this I have met the
most wonderful man in the world. I love you so much Jack, believe that. No
matter what you do, no matter if this between us last forever, there will
always be a piece of me that will always love you."

I looked up at him, looking deeply into his eyes. He wiped my
tears, kissing me softly, gently on the lips.

"I love you more than anything Eric. I would and will do anything for
you. I'm going to get help. I'll be seeing a doctor and I promise I will
fix this problem in my head."

"There is nothing wrong with your head Jack. Just take things one day at a
time ok."

I nodded kissing him again on the lips more deeply. I let my tongue
slip into his mouth, savoring the taste, the feel, and the heat that came
from within it. He pulled away gently, brushing his hands through my hair.

"We better eat the pizza before it gets cold. "

"You right, but I'm so hungry I'll eat anything."
