(NEW STORY NAME) starts now

I had always felt I was different than other boys while I was growing up.
The other boys had picked on me and called me rude names while in public
school. In high school I had done my best to keep to my self and avoid the
other boys. I had gone to school, done my school work and went home right
after school. I didn't join in any after school activities. I kept in
shape by walking the three quarter's of an hour to school and home again
each day. My life changed one day when one of the boys came up to me after
school just before I left for home. "Hi Barry what are you doing Friday
evening?"

I didn't know what to say after all Lou was one of the most popular guys at
school and one of the toughest. I was afraid if I turned him down he would
beat me up or if I accepted he would make fun of me. What was I to do? So
I decided to answer Lou. "I don't have any plans for Friday as of yet but
I would have to check with my parents. Is that okay with you Lou." I
answered.

"Sure it's okay with me so your saying if your parents have no plans you
will come to my birthday party." Lou said and smiled. "I hope you can
make it."

"Thank you Lou." I answered smiling back. I felt my face warming up and
knew it must have turned red. "I am pretty sure my parents have no plans
for Friday evening and they will give me their consent to come to your
birthday party Lou." I turned and started walking home.

When I got home I asked mom and dad over dinner if they had plans for
Friday and they both said no and asked why I was asking.

"I got an invitation to a birthday party from one of the guys for Friday
evening and was hoping you would give me permission to go." I answered.

"It's fine if there isn't any drinking and you get home at a decent time.
Why is that boy asking you to his birthday party. You've never been asked
to any thing before. I hope the boy isn't up to something? I know how
sensitive you are Barry." Mom said looking across the table at me.

"I'm sure they are not up to anything. He just wanted to invite me to his
birthday party." I answered.

I went to school the next day and found Lou standing beside his locker with
his jock friends. I looked up into his blue eyes. Lou had to be at least
six-three and the captain of the high school football team. All the other
guys surrounding the school jock were either as tall or taller than Lou.
"I hope I'm not disturbing you Lou but I asked my parents if I could go to
your birthday party on Friday and they said I could. That is if there
wasn't any drinking." I said looking up into Lou's blue eyes one covered
by his blond hair hanging over it.

Lou pushed his thick blonde hair out of his eye and said. "Okay let me
write down my address and be at the party at seven o'clock."

One of the dark haired jocks, at least as tall as Lou looked at me. "Why
are you inviting the school shrimp. He doesn't exactly fit into our league
of guys Lou?" Joey asked.

"Yea why him, he doesn't even go to any of our games." Mac another dark
red hair jock's asked.

"I think it's about time I widened my horizon as far as friends go besides
I'm flunking out in some of my courses maybe Barry here can give me a hand
with them. Would you mind helping out with math and science?" Lou asked
and winked down at me.

"Sure thing Lou." I mumbled wondering if that was the real reason he
invited me to his birthday party to help him with his science and math and
not to be friendly to me.

"Great see you Friday at seven. You don't have to bring a girlfriend there
will be plenty of girls to go around." Mac said and laughed. "Not that
you would know what to do with a girl in the first place.

"Don't pick on Barry, Mac. I want to change my ways and include Barry in
more of our after school stuff." Lou said looking down at me and then at
Mac. "Anyway see you Friday at seven."

"Okay see you Friday at seven." I answered. I was nervous yet excited I
was being invited to the school jock and his teammates to his birthday
party and he said to hang out with them after school. I don't know how I
would make it through the evening. I had always had a secret crush on the
football players especially Lou. I'd just have to hope they didn't catch
on.

It seemed to take forever for Friday to arrive and I picked out my best
pants and shirt to wear as well as my Sunday shoes. I was ready to leave
when dad and mom came in the den. "Now if those boys get out of hand and
pick on you Barry, you come straight home. Don't be letting them pick on
you. I know how sensitive you are." Mom said sitting down in her favorite
chair.

"That's right." Dad said looking up at me where he was sitting. "Do as
your mother says."

"I'll be fine mom and dad. I'm sure they won't pick on me with their
girlfriends at the party." I answered. "Goodnight I'll see you both when
I get home."

I set off for Lou's place about ten blocks from where I lived. I kept
looking at my watch to make sure I wasn't early. When I got within a block
of Lou's I stopped and looked at my watch again. I was a good five minutes
early so I stood looking around for a few minutes before continuing to
Lou's place. When I arrived I knocked on his front door. It was answered
by Lou." Come on in Barry and join the party.

The party went pretty good and I even danced with a few of the girls at the
party. Of course I did feel uneasy dancing with a girl since they didn't
turn me on but I sure wasn't going to tell any one at the party. I was
afraid they would pick on me and call me names like the guys in public
school had called me. It wasn't like it was now for gay people back in the
mid sixties. I don't even think there was a proper name for people like me
at that time except slang names. Actually at that time I thought I was the
only one in the world that was attracted more to guys than girls.

I was ready to leave along with everyone else once the party was over
however Lou took me to one side and asked if I could stay after everyone
left because he wanted to ask me something. I told him I would. He
promised he'd give me a ride home after we talked.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked Lou after we said goodbye
to the last jock and his girlfriend as they headed home.

"Please have a seat Barry. I know you're different than the guys I hang out
with." Lou said after sitting down across from me. "Don't feel bad. I
know you get turned on by guys and especially me."

"No I don't." I answered feeling my entire body shake. I was afraid since
he and I were now all alone in his parents basement he might beat the shit
out of me for being attracted to him.

"Don't lie to me Barry, It's obvious but don't worry I'm not going to beat
you up or anything like that. I just wanted to talk to you. So admit the
truth." Lou said staring into my eyes with his blue eyes.

"All right I won't lie." I said pushing back in my chair getting ready for
what he might do to me. "I'm different than you and your friends. I think
you're all attractive and I get turned on by them. I don't know why though
and what I'd do with any of you though." I answered knowing my voice was
trembling.

"It's okay Barry." Lou answered reaching out and gripping my hands in his
big hands. "I'm like you but I don't want any of the guys to know. So
there it is Barry I've told someone. I like you don't know what to do with
another guy though. Maybe we could experiment together."

To Be Continued. . . .
