Now Gay Trust in the 60's Chapter 2, Part 2 of 3.

I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm clock, got up showered
and dressed in my old jean shorts and a T-shirt to cut the lawn and clean
the garage before lunch. I cut the lawn and cleaned the garage but didn't
see mom or dad until I came in for lunch. Mom made me a sandwich and soup
for lunch. "I am off to watch Lou at his football practice mom." I said
after eating.

"Have fun." Dad said walking in from the back door. "The car is all tuned
up did you still want to go to the lawn sale out in the country dear?"

"Sounds good but I'll fix you lunch before we head out. See you tonight
for supper Barry." Dad said as I walked out the back door and headed to
school to watch Lou's football practice. I was excited to see him in his
football uniform. I was willing to bet he would look like a real stud.

I walked directly to the football field when I got to school. I looked
around and saw Lou standing in the middle of the football field surrounded
by the rest of the guys on the field. He looked up, waved and then started
walking toward me. "Hi Barry, glad to see you could make it. Let me
introduce you to my football buddies." He yelled.

"Hi Lou and thanks for inviting me to your football practice." I yelled
back as he approached me. "Good to see you Lou." I said lowering my
voice. "Any ideas what to do after the game?"

"The guys and I are meeting at Joe's place." He is our captain and his
parents went away for the weekend so we can party hardy." Lou answered.

"I was hoping we would have some time alone." I said looking up into Lou's
blue eyes as he took his hand and brushed his blond hair out of his eyes.
"How can I back out without looking like there's something going on between
the two of us."

"But I won't fit in with your football buddies, by the way you look great
in your uniform." I said feeling his broad muscular chest and then looking
up.

"You'll do fine with me there. You'll see." Lou said looking down at me.
"Thanks for the compliment as long as you don't get carried away with the
rest of the guys on the team."

"You know I won't do anything with the other guys just you but I will have
a difficult time keeping my hands off you but I promise I will." I said
feeling my face heating up.

"Don't sweat it Barry. You'll do fine. You better come out and meet the
guys before they get the idea something is going on between the two of us."
Lou said taking my hands from his chest and putting them down at my side.
"None of that in front of the guys now."

"Okay." I said and followed Lou across the field to his football buddies.

Lou went around introducing me to the guys on the field and one even said.
"There's nothing going on between this guy and you is their Lou."

"What do you mean about that Tom?" Lou said and grabbed the front of his
uniform shirt.

"Nothing. Just joking around Lou. Don't be so sensitive." Tom said
pulling away from Lou and forced Lou to let go of his shirt. "Can't a guy
joke around anymore."

"Sure but just because Barry isn't a big jock like us doesn't mean he's a
queer." Lou said raising his voice. "I just like hanging with the little
guy. You guys will too once you get to know him."

I felt proud Lou stuck up for me even saying I wasn't a queer and I guess
technically I was a queer but I didn't like that word. Some of the guys in
grade school had called me that name before and I hated it.

"Go in the stands and watch us guys practice for the big game next Friday."
Lou said. "We play here and I hope you can come to the game."

"I'll be there." I said walking to the close by stands and sitting in the
very front to watch the big muscular teenage hunks play football. It was a
hot June afternoon and I was glad I had worn sandals, shorts and T-shirt.
I was sweating just watching the guys run up and down the field chasing
each other with the football in someone or others hands.

Practice ended and all the guys followed Lou over to where I was sitting.
Joe came over to me and looked down at me. "Lou told us guys he was
bringing you over to my place. Did you want to come over and have a few
beers Barry with us?" Joe asked looking directly at me his brown eyes
boring through me.

I didn't know how to answer him I was so nervous having this big muscular
teenager starring at me and asking if I wanted to go back to his place.
"Only if it's okay with you and the other guys, I wouldn't want to horn in
on your guys partying." I answered finally.

"Since you and Lou are now friends of course it's okay with me and what's
good with me is good with the team." Joe answered standing up. "Isn't it
guys."

"Yes of course Joe." The team shouted the same time.

"Wait out here while the guys and I shower. We'll be right out." Lou said
walking up to me.

What seemed like forever Lou, Joe and the others came out of the gym door
wearing jeans, runners and T-shirts.

"Okay lets get going then." Joe said.

I got up and followed behind with Lou. I had no idea how to act or even
say as I walked across the school yard and down the street to the rougher
area of the city.

"Hurry up my parents are gone for the entire day." Joe said walking to the
back of the run down house, unlocking the back door and letting us in.

"Not that it would matter Joe they are always too drunk to care less." One
of the other players yelled as we all walked inside the run down, dirty,
stinky kitchen not to mention stale cigarette smoke aroma. I couldn't
believe someone could actually live in the dump. I wanted to hold my nose
it smelled so bad but I figured I'd look like a wimp so I tried to ignore
the smell.

Joe turned on the light. "Lets go down to the basement guys and have a few
brews. Has Barry even had a brew before?" He asked laughing.

I didn't know how to answer him since I never had a beer before but I
didn't want to look like some kind of wimp. "Sure I have." I answered.

Joe went to the fridge and brought out some beer and handed them to the
team as well as me. He went around with the bottle opener opening the
beers. He took a big swig of the beer and looked over at me. "Drink up
Lou and that goes for our new buddy Barry also."

I took a long drink and tasted the bitter tasting beer. I must have made a
face after I took my first swig of beer. One of the guys said. "Don't
fuck around with us Barry, this is your first beer."

I coughed and said. "Your right it is my first beer."

"I told you Ryan that was his first beer." Joe said looking at the tall
muscular teenager beside him.

"Has anyone got any smokes?" The football player sitting beside me
asked. He had hazel eyes like mine and red hair.

"Yes Carl I have some." A blond haired teenager answered sitting in front
of me answered.

Soon the room was full of smoke as the teenager offering Carl the cigarette
offered me a cigarette. My parents didn't smoke but the room was already
full of smoke so I took the cigarette he offered me still not wanting to
look out of place. I felt light headed after a couple of puffs along with
another couple of gulps of beer.

The guys were soon talking about the cheer leaders and which ones they were
fucking. I felt out of place not interested in girls and also a virgin but
I knew I'd have to keep up with everyone and contribute to the
conversation. So I brought up the only girl I knew her name. She was the
star cheer leader. "I'd like to bang Sue Ann." I shouted but it came out
more like a whisper.

"Well we'll have to set that up for you." Carl said slapping me on the
back. "She's a hot lay Barry. You have good taste in bitches."

"Thanks Carl." I said looking at him and looking him in his bright hazel
eyes. "Your a good guy."

I was soon being accepted by the team as we talked on about the cheer
leaders. I was light headed by the time I finished my beer and someone
handed me another one as well as another cigarette. I had forgotten all
about the time with all the joking around. Lou finally came over to me and
reminded me by asking me. "Don't you have to be getting home for dinner
soon Barry?"

"Yes I do but can I use your washroom Joe before I go?" I asked looking
over at Joe and smiled.

"Sure thing buddy it's in the back there." Joe answered and went back
talking to the guy beside him.

I tried to stand up but fell on the floor again and that's when Lou walked
over and offered his hand and helped me stand up. I felt dizzy and weak at
my knees as Lou led me to the washroom. I went in on my own and closed the
door. Thankfully I made it to the toilet and took a long needed piss. I
managed to walk back to the other room. "I have to get going home guys."
I said once I was in the other room.

"I'll go with you Barry to make sure you make it home." Lou said. "You're
not used to drinking or smoking."

"Thanks Lou but you don't have to. Don't you want to stay with your
friends?" I asked.

"I'll see you guys Monday at school. You won't mind me leaving to help
Barry home, will you Joe?" Lou asked walking beside me to the stair case.

"Go ahead Lou see you Monday. It was great having you over Barry. We'll
have to do it again when we can hook up with some of the cheer leaders
especially Sue Ann the one you said you'd like to bang." Joe said.

"That's right." One of the other guys shouted. See you guys Monday.
Maybe come and watch us practice. You'll have to come on Friday to watch
the big game Barry. We'll be wearing our regular uniforms not these
practice uniforms."

"Sounds good." I slurred letting Lou help me up the stairs and outside.

"I'll make it home on my own Lou. I live way out of your way. You only
live three blocks from here." I said. "But thanks for the offer. I'm
okay now."

"I'll at least walk you the three blocks toward your place." Lou said.

"Thanks Lou." I answered walking beside Lou the three blocks toward his
house and mine. We stopped at the street he was to turn down toward his
house. "I'm sorry I took you away from your team makes to walk me this
far."

"That's okay I would have been ready to go anyway. It's around supper time
at my house also." Lou said and surprised me and grabbing my hand. "Can I
see you after practice on Monday? My parents won't be home."

"That would be great Lou if you don't mind that is." I answered.

"Not at all, I wouldn't invite you if I didn't want you to come over
Barry." Lou said letting go of my hand and he turned and watched me
heading down the street. I turned around and saw him turning to walk down
his street toward where he lived.

By the time I got home I had sobered up but still felt sick at my stomach
from the mixture of beer and cigarettes. I smelled like cigarette smoke
and wondered what I must have looked like after the two beers. I went in
the side door and went up stairs directly to the washroom. I showered and
threw my jeans, underwear, socks and T-shirt down the dirty laundry shoot.
Once I had changed into the clean clothes I headed down stairs. Luckily I
was still fifteen minutes early for super.

The rest of weekend went as usual getting up Sunday morning for church and
coming home for lunch. In the afternoon we went for a ride to the park
since it was such a lovely warm day. I went to bed after watching TV and
the regular Sunday night shows.

I went to bed but couldn't get to sleep looking forward to seeing the team
practice and getting together at Lou's house after school. I had asked my
parents if I could go to Lou's for dinner that way I could stay at Lou's
longer. They asked about Lou and I told them he was one of the football
players at school. Dad and mom were both happy I had made new friends at
school and told me to come home before it got too dark as there was school
in the morning.
