Josh and I had phone sex last night during our nightly talk.  I love him
so much and he tells me he loves me.  Then he said "I know you don't
believe me, but I really do love you".  I told him I wanted to believe
that more than anything in the world, but he has told me that before, the
broke off with me.  I hate being at this confused age, my heart believes
him, my brain is confused.

I ask Gramps today if two people can really be in love by not being
together physically to make love.  Gramps said he didn't have an answer
for that question.
Then he said, it is common for people to be deeply "in love" with someone
and never have personal contact or even talk with the person.  This is
very common among young people who fall "in love" with movie stars,
musicians or someone they think is really "hot".  These people feel love
as deeply as any couple that is physically together, even though they
never get to touch or talk to the person.  Gramps said he has seen girls
more than boys so "in love" with musicians that they are over whelmed and
pass out at concerts.  Gramps said he had been "in love" both ways, the
best is to be together physically.  A one sided love affair is a good
feeling until the one you love has sex with some one else and breaks your
heart.
Gramps said in his opinion if two people think they are "in love", tell
each other that, can talk for hours loving every minute of it, masturbate
while talking on a phone and really feel satisfied after orgasm, still
want to talk on the phone after orgasm, I would say they are "in love".
What becomes of that love is up to the two people involved.

After talking with Gramps, my heart over ruled my brain (which is what
usually happens with me) and I now believe Josh when he says "I love you

Gramps 04

In early 1957 Gramps had been in the service for two years.  The service
had a re-enlistment plan, you could take what they called a short
discharge and re-enlist for six more years plus a re-enlistment bonus.

Gramps was barely making ends meet and he wanted to spend more time with
Paul alone.  Mary Beth was always with them no matter where they went.
Gramps always had to pay for everything because they were still in
school. Gramps told Paul of his plan to re-enlist to get the bonus.  He
ask Paul if he done that could just the two of them take like a vacation
somewhere.  Paul ask his parents for permission to go with Gramps on a
trip back home, they agreed.

Gramp's re-enlistment and bonus came through, he got a thirty day leave
also.

Gramps tried not to think what would happen when his leave was over and
they came back to Texas.  He and Paul were going to have fun and sex for
thirty days with no one else around.  Gramps said that was the best time
he had had since entering the service.

They return to Texas when Gramp's leave time was up, he would have went
AWOL if Paul could have gone with him.  Paul went back to hanging out
with Mary Beth every day after school and Gramps was there as much as his
duty at the base would permit.

Paul was always trying to make out with Mary Beth, she loved him but
wouldn't let him fuck her, said she was saving that for her wedding
night.

Gramps had the sharpest car around and when he picked Paul up at school,
the girls flooded around the car thinking it was Paul's car.  Gramps let
him set in the driver's seat to give them that impression after all he
wanted to make Paul happy because he loved him.

Paul ask Gramps if it was OK to take some of the girls home.  Gramps
acting like it was a great idea, agreed.  After that, every day Gramps
and Paul had a car load of girls to take home.

 This went on for a few weeks, then one day the last girl (Pat) to be
taken home was sitting on Paul's lap.  Paul asked her if she wanted to go
riding around before she went home, she said sure.  Gramps was driving
around town and Paul climbed into the back seat and got Pat to go back
there with him.  When Gramps didn't see them in his rear view mirror, he

During the summer Gramps and Mary Beth double dated with Paul and Pat
three of four times a week.  Gramps and Mary Beth would hug and kiss in

Gramps had become confused didn't know what he wanted to do, he liked
Mary Beth very much and thought she was falling in love with him.  He
knew he would never be able to fall in love with her even though he

he could do to stop it.

Gramps had an idea, he didn't like it because he had just reenlisted a

After waiting a while the doctor ask Gramps to come into his office, ask
him to sit down, then ask what he could do for him.  Gramps got up,
walked over to his desk, stuck out his hand and said "can you do any
thing for this?"  The doctor looked up at Gramps and said, "my god how
did you do this?"  The doctor said how in the hell did you get in the
service with that hand.  Gramps said when he enlisted they didn't look at
his hands when they gave him a physical.  The doctor said but you just
reenlisted a few months ago, they didn't catch that in your physical this
time either.  The doctor ask him why he didn't show it to the examining
doctor.  Gramps told him his hand had been that way all his life and
never even thought about it unless someone pointed it out or ask about
it.

The doctor told Gramps there is no way the service will take the
responsibility of surgery on your hand.  I will initiate your separation
papers ASAP.  Gramps asked him if he would have to pay back the
reenlistment bonus.  The doctor told him no you will receive an Honorable
discharge under medical conditions.  Gramps told the doctor he was to be
transferred in a week.  The doctor told him he wasn't going anywhere but
home.  This had turned out better than Gramps hoped, he only wanted to
stop the transfer.

Gramps was elated, he was relieved of all duties until his paperwork was
all finish, in the service this takes about a month.  Gramps had a whole
month to do nothing but have fun.  Gramps and Paul had the time of their
life, double dating, jacking each other off, sleeping together, swimming,
fishing, water skiing and for the first time in his life, Paul got him to
partying.  This went on for most of the month.

Gramps received notice to pick up his orders for discharge from the
service and his separation pay.  Gramps was so happy, he and Paul started
partying.  When he went to get his pay, he was so drunk he had to crawl
up the steps to the finance building.  They refused to pay him until he
came back sober.  Paul took him to the lake threw him in and proceeded to
sober him up.  Gramps went back to the base, got his pay, said good bye
to his buddies and left the base for the last time.

Gramps now free to do what ever he wanted, decided the first thing he
needed was a place to live and a job.  Gramps got an apartment and Paul
practically lived there with him.  They still partied and double dated.
One night they were partying and Paul was pretty drunk as was Gramps,
they ended up in a sixty nine for the first time since they had been
together.  Paul did let Gramps suck him now while he jacked Gramps off.

Paul came across a boy that had run away from hone and had no where to
stay except on the streets.  Gramps said he could stay if there was no
trouble.

Gramps came home from work one day and found Paul and this boy in a sixty
nine.  Gramps said he was really upset, but he wasn't sure why.  He

After a week in Dallas, Paul wanted to go back home, he had nothing to do
all day while Gramps was in school and was bored out of his mind.  That
