	Chapter 2

	After classes that day eric walked home to find Jamie waiting at
his door.

	"what are you doing here?" asked Eric.

	"well I came over to do something that I don't usually do, Eric you
know that home coming is Friday and I wondered if you would go with me, but
if not that's ok I get it but^Å" Eric cut of a now almost trembling Jamie.

	"stop calm down Jamie I would love to go with you Friday. Holy
fucking shit." Said Eric

	"why did you say that" asked Jamie

	"I have a date. I mean I finally have a date. The only problem with
Friday is that im going with a group of friends would you be willing to
still go with us though." Asked a nervous Eric.

	" I would love to go with you and your friends." Said Jamie and
before either one of them knew what was going on they we lip locked in a
very passionate kiss with sparks flying for both of them. At that moment
both knew that they would be together forever and ever. "wow" they both
said as they broke the kiss "that's the best kiss I have ever had" said
Eric. "yeah I know the feeling." Said Jamie "hey do you want to come inside
and get a drink or something?" asked Eric " I don't know wont your mom be a
little upset?" asked Jamie "shes not even going to be home until like eight
o clock." Said Eric.

	Both boys went inside the front door and Eric told Jamie "sit down
on the couch what do you want to drink we have water, Gatorade, and punch."

	"ummm. I think that I will take punch." Said Jamie. Eric went back
into the living room bringing with him two glasses of punch they began to
talk about there home lives. "so what does your dad think about you being
gay" asked Jamie. "well he doesn't know and I don't want him to know
because he's really really homophobic." Said Eric. "oh im sorry to hear
about that my parents both know and there sorta ok with it as long as I
don't go around having sex with every person in the world." Said Jamie. "oh
and by the way where is your dad."

	"well my mom and him divorced a couple of years ago and now he live
up in Minnesota with his new wife and her two kids and there new baby I
don't talk to him at all, we had a really big fight last christmas." Said
Eric. "oh im sorry" said Jamie for he had picked up on erics tone about his
father.

	They both sat and watched tv for a little while then Jamie said
"well I have to go so I will call you latter."

	"ok well I will be counting the minutes until I hear from you."
Said Eric blushing a little as he knew that he had sounded really
corny. Alls Jamie could do was just smile from ear to ear, and lean in for
a kiss. "talk to you latter. Love you." Said Jamie Then he stopped in his
tracks before he got to the drive way. "im so sorry I,I,I, I..." Jamie was
cut off because Eric was kissing him and they could both feel so much
passion and love flow.  Jamie slowly opened his mouth a little and slid his
tongue into Eric's mouth and for a bout ten minutes both of them explored
each others mouths. Then Eric broke the kiss and said "I love you Jamie."

	The rest of the first week went by flying. Until it was Friday. "so
when do you and jenny need picked up from the dance" asked Eric's mom. "umm
the dance is over at 12." Replied Eric.

	His day at school went flying by and before he knew it Eric
realized that he getting ready for the dance. They left the house at 8:30
so Eric could drive and find Jenny's house. Once they had picked up jenny
and were at the dance Eric spotted Jamie as they pulled up to the student
entrance. He and jenny walked up and once Eric's mom was out of sight Eric
pulled Jamie in for a short but passionate kiss. "wow I didn't know it was
that serious" stated jenny. "well it was like love at second sight." Said
Eric. They all had a good laugh at that then walked in and met up with
Eric's other friends. The dance started and then about the middle of the
dance there was a slow dance and As Eric was walking over to the seats
Jamie came up and put his arms around Eric's neck. Eric was a little
surprised about the sudden shock put his hands at Jamies waist.



	On her way home Eric's mom had the music of the radio low was
driving along and then all of a sudden a drunk truck driver came up on the
wrong side of the rode and hit her.


	As jamies Parents Lynda and george were coming along behind a grey
impala they saw the accident and before they could stop hit the brakes they
also hit the car in front of them.


	As the dance ended and Jamie jenny and Eric stood outside waiting
Eric's grand parents came up as expected but Jamie's parents never
came. "Hey Jamie just come with me you can call your parent to come get you
from my house jenny's spending the night anyway." Said Eric. When they all
got back to Eric's house Jamie called his house and no one answered. "oh
well hun you can spend the night and before bed will call them again." Said
Eric. As they watched Jay leno interviewing a celebrity there came a knock
from the door.  Eric got up at it looking curiously at the others. He
opened the door and saw a police officer. "can I help you officer" asked
Eric. "im state trooper john kingsley can I come in please."

	"sure but my moms not home shes at work." Said Eric. "I have
actually come because of your mother." Said john. Eric had a feeling that
something was wrong. "Son your mother was in an accident around nine this
evening." Erics heart droped to his toes. "is she ok" asked eric. By this
time jenny and Jamie had come up and Jamie was holding his hand. "When
paramedics arrived they got her into the ambulance^Å but she died on the
way there. Im so sorry to have to tell you this." Said john. Eric had
dropped to the ground tears started to flood out of his eyes. Jamie sat
beside him holding him and jenny did the same. "what about the person who
caused the accident." Asked jenny.  "well the man had been heavily drinking
we found several bottles of alcohol in his truck, im sorry to say but he
survived." John said. "im also sorry to say there was another two people
who died in the accident they were in a Toyota solstis. Jamie said "no your
wrong you have to be."

	"Are you Jamie sever" asked the state trooper. "yes" said Jamie
tears now streaming out of his eyes to. "oh my god im so sorry for the both
of you, Jamie do you have any other realitives near by." Asked the trooper
"no my grand parents died before I was born and my dad was an orphan." Said
Jamie now choking. Eric and Jamie both held on to each other while they
cried.  "well then can you stay at a friends until we can put you through
the system." Asked the trooper. "He can stay with me I have to call my
grand parents and my brother." Said Eric. "I will have a child well fare
agent come over tomorrow. Said john. After the trooper left al of them sat
and cryed for about an hour then Eric said "I have to call my grand
parents."  Eric went over and sat on the couch and while he composed
himself and the other two sat down he dialed the number. It rang three
times before his grandmother picked up and grogely said "Hello"

	"grandma its Eric" he said. "Honey its 2 in the morning what do you
want."  She said "grandma" eric started to cry "Eric what's wrong." Said
his grandmother a little concerned. "m.mom. was i.i.in an a.acedent" he
burst out in tears and finished saying "grandma she died." His grandmother
was frozen tears started to come down her face Her only baby girl was
dead. By that time her husband had gotten up and was asking her "what's
wrong dear."

	"eric I will be right over." Said his grandmother and hung
up. "Janice died." She said.

	When Erics grandmother got there and saw all three huddled together
she didn't get what Jamie was crying about. "honey are you ok and I know
its sad but why are you crying jamie."asked Erics grandmother clarice. "his
parents were right behind mom and they both hit, it killed them too. "oh my
dears im so so sorry." Said clarice as a single tear came down her
cheek. She went in an called her other grandson doug and told him what had
happened he said that he would be up by three.

	Eric's brother doug got there and started to cry with eric. About
two minutes latter Jamie and Eric were sleeping on the couch side by side.
