Hey! Thank you to everyone who emailed e about the first chapter. If you
don't email me then I won't be encouraged to keep on writing stories here.

Disclaimer: If you are not allowed to read this story by law, then please
do not read it

I have decided to keep the point of view on Josh for the time being, but
may need to switch to other characters POV, but I will write it in so you
don't get confused.

One thing you might need to know is that AS and A-Levels is the sixth form
which you study at 16-18.

>From Chapter 1

...I had done something today that I intended to do, but never in a million
years had I expected to go through with it. I had wanted to tell Jo as soon
as I found out, but I just couldn't think of how to put it to her.

Jo said that she thinks that my mum will be fine about it and deep down I
know they will, but there is someone or something at the back of my mind
that something could go wrong and she won't accept it.

Chapter 2 -- Business Studies

That night I had the best nights sleep in a while. Telling Jo has lifted a
huge weight off my shoulders.

As I got off the bus Shaun was there again on his own, probably waiting for
someone. Shaun is in my business studies class studying for our
AS. Although I have been in school with Shaun for the past 5 years I have
never spoken to him once and he has never spoken to me. I don't think he
even knows my name or knows that I exist.

After morning registration I had the first business studies session. I
didn't know anyone that was doing the course so as far as I knew I was the
only one in the class. I had a big surprise when I walked in. I don't know
why Shaun chose it for A-Level, he didn't even do it at GCSE. It turns out
that we are the only two in the class.

Shaun turned and looked at me as I walked in and gave a little
smile. Unfortunately, due to the lack of students in the class I didn't
have a choice of which seat I chose because it wouldn't be fair for the
teacher if we sat on opposite sides. I suppose this isn't really that bad,
I mean maybe now I can get to know him a bit more.

I sat next to him and got the books that I needed out while I waited for
Mr. Rogers to come in. I got on alright with Mr. Rogers, but sometimes you
wish that you didn't take his subject because his voice is on the same
level all the time that makes you fall asleep and fail the subject.

Mr. Rogers was taking his time and I didn't know what to do. I wanted to
say something to Shaun, but he is one of the `cool' kids so maybe he
doesn't want to speak to me.

"Hi Josh, it looks we are the only two people in the class" he said with a
big grin on his face. He said too cheerily for 9:30 in the morning.

"Yeah." I wasn't really taking much notice because I knew he didn't want to
have a conversation with me. When we get out of this class and I see him
with his friends he will carry on ignoring me as usual.

"I haven't really spoken to you, I would like to get to know you especially
as we are the only two in the class," now THAT one took me by surprise. I
replayed what he said in my mind about 5 times then it finally sunk in what
he said. HE wants to know ME! I wondered the `real' reason why he wanted to
get to know me, but the reason he gave seemed more realistic, maybe he
genuinely wanted to know me. When I got back to Earth I realised that he
was staring into my eyes waiting in suspense for an answer.

"Yeah, there haven't been any situations that would make our paths cross,
apart from this. Well, anything you want to know just ask."

"Okay, well what type of stuff are you into?"

"Um...I like to read, listen to music, watch TV and mess around on the
computer. How about you?"

Shaun hesitated...

"I go out a lot playing sports and just hanging around with my mates. I
don't have much time to play computer games or read..."

Mr. Rogers came in ready to start the lesson. I tried to pay attention to
what was going on, but I couldn't. I kept thinking of Shaun all the
time. Never in a million years had I expected this to happen. I couldn't
wait until break time so I could tell Jo.

"... so Josh, do you remember from last year what the underlying conditions
of both demand and supply are?"

"oh ummm...no sir I can't remember," He must have known that I wasn't
paying attention. He does it to me every time. At least this time it was
only me and Shaun in the room, but last year there was 25 of us and that
was embarrassing!

Then the bell went, Shaun nodded and rushed off. I went to find Jo, as
usual she was waiting for me outside the fire exit by the lift on the front
side of the school.

"What's up with you?" was the first thing she said.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

"I mean why are you walking around with the biggest smile on your face I
have ever seen at 10:30?"

"Oh," I blushed. I hadn't realised that I had a big smile on my face.

"Well, come on..." she said getting a bit impatient.

"oh um sorry...I just had business studies and there are only two people in
the class."

"I thought you would be the only one doing business studies. After last
year I can't take any more of that. What other stupid bugger chose it
then?"

"Shaun!"

"But, he didn't take it last year. Why would he want to do business
studies? So, that's why you are smiling so hard then?"

I just grabbed her arm and started walking over to one of the benches.

"So, did he speak? Come on I want details!"

"Yeah he spoke," I said, trying not to give too much away too soon.

"I need a bit more than that. Trying to get details out of you is like
trying to draw blood from a stone!"

"Um, not much else happened"

"Oh come on. What did he say to you? Did he sit next to you?"

"Well, he was already in the room when I got there so I sat next to him. He
told me that he doesn't know me and wants to get to know a bit more."

Well, that was basically everything that was said between Shaun and me. Jo
can expect a bit too much sometimes. I bet she was expecting something a
bit more `juicier' than what I told her.

After school I went to Jo's and talked more about Shaun, some other guys
and mostly about my sexuality.

JoAnn spoke about telling my mum again, I shrugged it off. I'm not really
sure if I should. I get on alright with my mum and don't want to spoil that
by telling her something that she doesn't really need to know for now.

----------------------------------

Well, that's chapter 2.

Please let me know what you think of the story so far.

There is a bit more information about both characters in this chapter and
still more to come. I have listened to a few peoples suggestions and now
have some idea of where I want the story to go. I am still looking for
other suggestions if you have any then send them to me.

Thanks,
