I Think I've Flipped. Chapter 15.

(Tyler's POV)

Logan, what the fuck are you doing here?" I asked my friend after the initial
shock had finally died down.

"What do you mean what am I doing here?" Logan replied with an aggravated
tone. "I am here eating an ice cream when I suddenly see you kissing a guy.
What the fuck is going on Tye?" he asked.

"Logan, no... Wait I...can-"

"Will, please tell me this is a joke, or something!" Taylor shouted from the
other end of the room.

I looked behind me and found Will staring at Taylor like he just saw a ghost.

"Tyler!"

I turned my head and found Logan seething in red. I tried to speak, but
nothing came out.

"What?! Are you gay now?" Logan asked as if he was still trying to figure it all
out.

No sooner had he said the word 'gay', I flinched a little. I don't know why... I
guess I am not comfortable with hearing that word.

"Oh man... Do Rocky and the others know about this?" I heard Taylor ask
behind me.

When I heard her speak his name, I immediately turned around and glared at
Taylor. There is no fucking way that ingrate is going to know about this.

"Taylor, please don't tell them... please... you have to promise me," I heard
Will beg from my side.

"So, wait... This is true? You're actually seeing Tyler?" She asked with a tone of
disgust in her voice.

Will and I simply looked at each other. We were at a total loss on what to say
or do.

"Tye, are you gay?" Logan asked behind me.

I turned around and looked at Logan. I couldn't answer him. My attraction to
Will has been so complicated and difficult at times.... that I never processed it
in my head.

"Will... wait a fucking minute," we heard Taylor say. "What about Sterling?
Aren't you seeing him as well?" she asked as her voice kept rising in anger.

Will looked like a deer caught in the headlights as Taylor's eyes of fury
penetrated my dear boyfriend's heart.

"I uhh..." Will stammered and he wasn't able to get the words to come out of
his mouth.

"What the fuck?! Sterling is gay as well?!" Logan shouted behind us as he
dropped his ice cream cone on the floor in surprise.

"Oh shit," Taylor gasped, as she realized she basically just outed Sterling to my
friend.

I glanced at Will and found him extremely uncomfortable. In fact, I could
sense the amount of tension emanating from his body. I scooted myself closer
to him and grabbed his hand. No fucking way am I going to turn my back on
this boy! No sooner had I grabbed his hand, Will looked over at me and gave
me a smile.

"Shit! It is true then! You've gone all fag now!" Logan said with contempt.

I couldn't take anymore. I marched up to my so-called friend, grabbed his
shirt and spat on his face, "You fucking say that word again, and I will fucking
beat you to a bloody pulp Logan. Just fucking try me!!"

Logan looked at me with surprise in his eyes. Guess he wasn't used to seeing
me getting all riled up like today.

"Uhhh.... Tyler, what's going on?"

Logan and I looked to our side and found a small boy staring at us with a
confused expression.

"Chris!" I heard Will say in recognition.

Well shit. This probably doesn't look too good with Chris. I mean here I was
about to beat someone to a bloody pulp. I didn't want to send the wrong
message. I begrudgingly let go of Logan's collar and turned to face Chris.

"Hey, little man... What's wrong?" I asked, doing my very best to act like
nothing's wrong.

Chris looked at me suspiciously before replying, "I was already in the food
court, but you and Will were taking too long so I got worried and came back...
And then you were..." he trailed off, as he nudged his head over at Logan.

"I'm sorry little man," I apologized as I ruffled my hair in embarrassment.

"Will... who is this kid?" Taylor asked my boyfriend.

Before Will could reply, Chris suddenly shouted angrily, "Will, are these
people picking on you and Tye?!" before rolling up his sleeves, ready to attack
as he eyed Taylor and Logan icily.

"Tye, this isn't your and Will's... child, is it?" I heard Logan ask.

"Whaattt?" I shouted, looking back at him if he was actually serious with his
question. His nonchalant expression answered my question. I rolled my eyes, I
forgot for a split second I was talking to Logan of all people.

"Umm... guys meet our friend Chris... Chris these people are our friends. This
is Taylor and this one is Logan," Will explained to Chris.

"Are you sure these are your friends? They were picking on you guys!" Chris
shouted in anger as he looked between Taylor and Logan menacingly.

"Hey it's fine little man," I said as I bent down towards Chris. "These guys are
our friends. We just had a little disagreement that's all. But we all plan on
addressing this little issue among ourselves, right guys?" I asked behind me as
I glared at Taylor and Logan to follow. They just nodded in response.

I took that moment to look at Will and nodded at him. It's time... Shit, is it
fucking time.

(Will's POV)

I looked at the two people in front of us. Taylor had her arms crossed against
her chest while Logan had his arms neatly folded on the table. They both had a
slightly annoyed and impatient look upon their faces.

Tyler patted my right leg underneath the table signaling to me that everything
is going to be all right. The feeling of dread was filling me up and the only
distractions disrupting that were Tyler and that annoying jukebox in this
dingy little diner.

Chris was nowhere to be found as we decided it was best for him to go home
and not hear our discussion... Of course that was after we bought him a Happy
Meal from McDonalds.

"First things first," I heard Tyler say, "What are you guys doing all the way
here and away from Ridgemont?"

"Well... I'm here accompanying my mom on her monthly check-up. The doctor
she sees for her medication is from this area," Taylor seemed to reply without
batting an eye.

"Oh yeah.. I remember now. I heard something about it from Claire," I replied.

"Ridgemont's medical health care is slightly inferior compared to here so on
some Saturdays, we have to go here. Like the time you, Claire and Dana went
out," Taylor explained as her hands were still crossed against her chest.

"And I... just happen to be in the neighborhood," Logan replied nonchalantly.

Everyone looked at him for a few seconds. Somehow with Logan, that
wouldn't be too far from the truth.

"Anyway... Tell me all about this... You guys have some fucking explaining to
do," Taylor snapped as she pointed between Tyler and me.

"Like yeah... you guys were all kissing and stuff," Logan frowned.

I looked at Tyler for a minute trying to figuring out how in the hell we're going
to explain what's happening between us.

I was about to answer, but Tyler beat me through it.

"Will and I... are boyfriends," Tyler stated bluntly.

I didn't expect him to say that so quickly. I looked back at Taylor and Logan
and it seemed they were trying to process what my boy just said.

"What the fuck do you mean boyfriends?" Logan asked as it seemed he was
clearly disturbed at the idea.

"I mean... Will and I are boyfriends," Tyler replied through gritted teeth as he
seemed to be getting angrier by the minute.

Taylor and Logan just continued to stare and remained silent.

"We're seeing each other outside school," I added.

"When?" Taylor asked simply with anger in her voice.

"We've been seeing each other over a month now," I told her.

"Just hold on a fucking minute Tye. You mean when you and Dana were
dating, you were seeing Will?" Logan asked shocked.

"What the fuck?!" Tyler spat out in surprise. "Of course not! I only started
seeing Will after she left man!" he explained further to Logan.

At this point, his friend and teammate were shaking their heads in disbelief.

"How the fuck did this happen?" Logan asked us.

"I... I don't know," Tyler answered as he looked down. "I can't really explain
it... It's so difficult to put to words," he continued before looking up at me...
"But being with Will, it just feels right."

I squeezed his hand tighter under the table.

"So you're gay?" Logan asked again.

"I... I don't know. Fuck, this is all so confusing!" Tye said in frustration.

I stared at Tyler who was running his hand through his hair. I am not going to
lie here, but I felt a little bit sad about Tyler's last statement. Was I the
exception to the rule? Was Tyler straight and that I was the only boy he ever
fancied?

"All I do know is that I'm falling in love with Will," he replied as it brought a
smile to my face.

"This is all bullshit and you both know it."

Logan let out a loud gasp over his seatmate's sudden explicit burst. Taylor was
staring angrily at us.

"Excuse me?" I asked her.

Taylor looked at Tyler and me with sudden venom in her eyes. "So all this
time, you had strong feelings for Tyler? What about Sterling? Does your
boyfriend know you've been seeing my friend?"

Oh shit, I knew pretending to be seeing Sterling on the side would eventually
come back to bite me in the ass.

"I... uh..." Fuck. I couldn't answer! No words came out of my mouth.

"I made Will go out with Sterling so none of you would notice anything," Tyler
announced with no emotion.

Once Taylor heard that, she darted her dagger-like eyes at Tyler.

"You mean to tell me that you've been playing Sterling all this time? Will...
how could you? I thought you were a friend?" Taylor asked angrily.

Logan just stared at us. He seemed unsure how to react. Heck, even I didn't
know how to at this point.

"Don't blame him... I made him do it. It's not Will's fault," Tye replied as he
tried to deflect the blame to himself.

"Oh my god! You two are horrible!" Taylor shrieked causing a few other diners
to look at us suspiciously.

"Hey Taylor, just calm down and-"

"Shut up Logan! Don't tell me to calm the fuck down!" she barked at the
redhead before looking back at me. "Will, do you know how utterly crazy
Sterling is over you? And yet here you are playing with him all along so you
and Mr. Perfect here could continue your little romantic escapades? This
doesn't sound like the Will whom Dana and Rocky so frequently talked about
before!" Taylor explained as she stared at me with anger and disgust.

I bowed my head in shame. How could you not after what happened?
Stringing along Sterling in this little plan was indeed wrong, but I did it for
Tyler... In the back of mind, I already knew this was wrong yet I still went
through with it. Dammit, this isn't me.

"I'm sorry. I can't be here any longer," Taylor said as she forced Logan to
stand up so she could get by.

"Wait! Are you going to tell Sterling?" I asked her as I began to panic a little.

Taylor looked between Tyler and me before replying, "No. That's your
responsibility Will. And for the record, I don't want anything to do with you."
As soon as she said that, she turned around and walked away.

I watched her leave. Shit, this was not supposed to happen! No one was
supposed to find out!

I continued staring when I felt a hand on my left shoulder. I looked up and
saw Tyler wrapping his arm around me.

"Will... I'm sorry. This was all my fault..." Tyler apologized, his baby blue eyes
flickering shades of regret.

"It's okay..." I replied. I smiled at Tyler before patting the hand resting on my
shoulder. A few seconds later, I glanced in front of us and realized that Logan
was still here. When Tyler followed my stare, he quickly let down his arm and
moved a few inches away from me.

"Whoops. Sorry Logan... Forgot you were still here," Tyler said. "Listen, I'll
understand if you want to leave as well. I'm sorry I wasn't honest with you or
any of the guys. But, I'm still trying to figure this all out," he continued.

"Hey hey," Logan replied as he grabbed our hands. "It's okay, really. I'm just a
little shocked that's all. Just give me time get used to this, okay? I give you my
word I won't rat you guys out to anyone. Your secret is safe with me."

Tyler and I looked at each other before blushing and giving out small awkward
giggles.

"Thanks Logan," I replied. "That means a lot. It really does."
