Immortal Love

Chapter 5

Even though Chris had gotten home shortly after lunchtime, Jay
didn't have much of a chance to talk to him. With all the crucial security
checks and getting Chris settled in. There just wasn't any time to lighten up
and explain everything to him. It'll just have to wait awhile longer, maybe
later on that evening they could talk about his sudden evasive behavior.

Chris managed to stay awake until about 8 o'clock that evening
before getting rather tired and couldn't keep his eyes open to watch was on
television. He thought he would be too excited to go to sleep so early on his
first day at home, but with all the excitement whirling about. It was making his
head spin and feeling slightly overwhelmed by all the attention. Even though, he
felt it was unnecessary. He felt a sense of protection from his defenselessness.
So, he whispered his goodnights to his parents, and the kissed them on the
cheeks before going to his bedroom.

Jay had made his final rounds of the house for the night. He
decided to go in and have that talk with Chris before it got worst then it
already has. As he walked into the house, he made some quick precautionary check
inside. Then he headed down the hallway to Chris' room. Jay noticed that his
door was slightly ajar. He stood there nervous and placed his clammy hand on the
doorknob. He took a deep breath and quietly opened the door to nudge his way
into the bedroom. He started to say something to Chris when suddenly his stopped
at mid-sentence and gawked.

"Hey Chris, I was ..." Jay stopped.

At that very moment, Chris stood there only in his boxers. He replied, "Jay? ..."
started to turn and said, "What's ..." Then, halted in mid-sentence as well.

They both stared at each other for a while as Jay stood there
speechless and stunned by the beauty of this young man standing before him,
despite the visibility of some healing scars and bruises. His splendor remained
faultless in his eyes. Yet, in many ways, he might resembled his Ben. But, right
then and there, he was totally and completely all Chris. Jay couldn't pull his
yearning gaze away from the boy's gorgeous physique in which began to open to
Jay's own disclosure of his past.

Chris and Jay didn't speak for a long time. They now stared at
each other with mixed thoughts. If, time was at a standstill, then it was at
present. Jay never looked into Chris' eyes once, but focused on the boy's
chest--his perfect pectorals where each line marking its definition of the
tightness of his muscles as it ran down into a smooth curve, and then followed
into his perfectly dark rosy protruding nipples. Jay's eyes then, moved slightly
down to the slender washboard abs. Suddenly Jay had to force himself at will to
stop there. He realized this beautiful boy stood puzzled at Jay's awkwardness.
Jay blushed.

Chris wasn't sure what was going on or how to deal with this
uneasiness. He could see an array of emotions within Jay's eyes. Jay was
overwhelmed with remorse. Yet, Chris decided to take this chance to reproach his
earlier feelings about Jay back in the hospital. Though, he wasn't sure what was
going to happen. He knew he had to get closer to Jay--emotionally and ...
physically. Chris made the first step forward.

While Chris walked over to Jay, his bewildered eyes watched
Chris moved closer to him. Chris now stood only inches away. Jay couldn't look
up into Chris' eyes. In fact he closed his eyes and lowered his head. Jay could
now only feel the heat radiating from Chris' body. Chris had stopped while he
felt Jay's breath sharpened into a deep sigh. At that very moment, Jay did
something that took Chris by surprise.

Since Jay was a little shorter then Chris, he placed his cheek tenderly onto
Chris' chest and wrapped his arms around the boy's waist. Instinctively, Chris
closed his arms around Jay as well and smiled. They embraced each other
delicately when Chris winced at Jay's stronghold, but loosen his grip. Neither
of them said anything.

Jay began to feel the heat from Chris' body on his face. He felt
compelled to strengthen his arms around Chris but did it gingerly. At that
moment, Jay was gratified in the fact his yearning embraces was around someone
special. He hoped this would last forever. He wasn't thinking about his past
lifetime nor was he thinking about anything, but his present moment with Chris.
It had been so long since he held someone or had been held by someone. He needed
that to wash away his past grief.

Chris pulled back just enough to look into Jay's eyes. Since
their embraces Jay looked into Chris' eyes for the first time and remained
wordless. Letting their inner emotions take control of the situation. Chris
pulled his arms out of their embrace to reach down and pulled Jay's shirt over
his head, and then pulled Jay back into their heated cuddle once again.
Meanwhile, Jay recaptured Chris' eyes. Chris placed a soft, gentle kiss onto
Jay's affectionate lips for an instant. Jay quivered.

At that, one astounding second, Jay knew. He knew he was in
love. He knew that no matter what he tried to do, he would not be able set aside
his feelings for Chris for the second time since that first day in the hospital
when he laid eyes upon Chris. Yet, he didn't want to either for it was time to
love again.

Chris stepped back from Jay momentarily. He walked over to the
door and closed it silently. He gently took Jay by the hand. He led him over to
his bed. Chris slowly sat down on the edge of his bed while affectionately
tracing his hands down Jay's perfect physique. Jay shuttered. In the interim
kept a constant eye contact of each other. Chris' hands ended at the loop of
Jay's belt and undid it, then his jeans was next. As Chris slipped them off, Jay
simultaneously slipped out of his shoes and now stood there in his boxers. Chris
trembled and then looked up at Jay. Jay offered no resistance as Chris pulled
him into his bed. They laid facing each other as Chris reached down to pull up
his blanket over them. The silent continued between them, only permitting their
physical attractions to take precedence.

Now the role was reversed as Jay took over the situation. He
leaned over to Chris and began to kiss him tenderly and passionately. There was
no rush, no sense of urgency, just the feeling of the emotions from both them.
All things in their world had been forgotten at that moment as if Jay's past
lifetime with Ben or Chris' recent tragic ordeal never happened to both of them.

After a short time, Jay saw how tired Chris was, he tenderly
kiss each eye and finally planted one of his lips to let him sleep. However,
Chris was afraid--afraid to fall asleep. This moment with Jay would be gone
forever and have been only a dream. Somehow knowing what Chris was thinking, Jay
turned on his side and backed himself against Chris' chest. Chris took this
queue and spooned up behind Jay, wrapped an arm around Jay's chest. And felt
Jay's calm disposition in his arm and began to fall into his slumber.

Jay couldn't believe how wonderful it felt to be cuddled into
Chris' body. It had been far too long since his life with Ben. He nearly had
forgotten what it felt like to be held. It had been far too many years to have
shut out his feelings for someone. And now, he could feel the warmth of Chris
behind him, and his rhythmic breathing. Chris' heart was beating ever so
strongly onto his back. The security of Chris' arm around him was amazing.
Before he even knew what had happened. He fell asleep listening to Chris'
heartbeat.

Once Chris had settled behind Jay and cuddled up, he could feel
the rhythmic motion of Jay's body. He felt himself falling into that slumber
state. While his and Jay's breathing became regular and unison. Chris was a
little surprised as tired and drained as he was. He thought for sure he would be
the first to pass out when he felt Jay's stillness. Nevertheless, here he was.
Lying next to Jay and feeling his heartbeat. Within minutes, he tucked his head
into the back of Jay's neck and fell asleep, breathing in the smell of Jay's
hair and body. A smell he would never forget.
