In The Arms of An Angel

Chapter 8

Disclaimer: Don't read this if you are uneasy about someone locked up in
the funny ward of Charleston Community Hospital. Rehab sucks. Don't be
suprised if this chapter does too.

Latest Update on my condidtion: I'm supposed to be getting in touch with my
"inner self"... it's not working. That's all.

Wisdom for today: (Borrowed from a fan) Prayers do not change things; they
change us so *we* can change things.

Chapter 8
I sunk onto a beanbag in my room and let out a shuddery sigh. My life had
to be the worst timed pile of shit in the universe...

Earlier that day...

"Shower and go home in fifteen," said the voice on the intercom. "Guess we
better go," said Chaz, letting go of the punching bag that I had been
pounding so mercilessly for about ten minutes. "Sure," I said, wild with
anticipation of showering with him and seeing him naked in the school's
group showers.
We had just made it to the steamy area just outside the shower's locker
area when a shrill sound split the air. "FIRE ALARM!!!" yelled some girl.
I looked over at Chaz who was grinning in the direction of the guy's
showering area where a host of guys of all ages were scrambling to get
something on over their...well...personal places.	Of all Fridays to have a
fire drill...anyway.
We all gathered outside. Those of us that were half dressed were herded
into a sheltered area. I eventually found Chris standing next to a wall.
He, apparantly, had taken a shower before anyone else as his hair was wet
and he wore no shoes.
"What in hell is going on?" I asked.
"Dunno," he said, "I heard an explosion."
A few minutes later, the assistant principal, Mr. Paulie came running from
a corner of the school yelling into his Motorola Hi-Band. "Okay," he said
with a crack in the usual authoritarianistic bluntness that smotherd his
voice, "here's what we need: the buses will not be running today so I need
you to get ahold of a loved one and ask them to come pick you up."
There was a general groan from among the assembled. Paulie turned on his
heel and headed toward the band room on the other side of the gym.
"What happened?" asked someone, "I heard an explosion."
Paulie turned on heel and opened his mouth, then closed it as if he decided
better on what he was about to say.
"You'll probably hear it from someone else so here it goes, there was a
slight accident in the chemistry wing, no one was hurt, but there is some
pretty harmful gas floating around in there," he said.
Everyone was silent, then, a single kid asked, "Will there be school
Monday?"
Paulie narrowed his eyes. "If there is not, it is by no means reason to
celebrate," he said harshly. The kid looked at her feet. I stared over to
Chris. He was stifling a laugh. When you really thought about it, it was
kind of funny.
Chaz seemed to think so too. His bright blue eyes were sparkling with a
glow that made my crotch stir. His face was turning bright red from
suppressed laughter. God, he was beautiful!
My train of thought was broken by a loud rumbling. There it was, as
faithful and loud as a herd of wild buffalo. The school bus caravan. The
huge yellow buses hissed like a bunch of snakes as they stopped in the
loading areas and sat, almost sulkingly waiting for their children.
As people poured onto the bus, I waited for Mom. When I thought about it,
I still had trouble forgiving her and dad for what they did. Even now,
there was always an awkward silence between us all. Out of my periphrial
vision, I saw Chaz, his lean figure standing proudly against the form of the
schoolhouse. He was staring off into space, the ice chips that were his
eyes remained focused on one point in space.
The more I thought about him, the more I lusted after him. I silently
chided myself and hoped, no prayed that I didn't get a boner. A tan pick-up
truck pulled up and Chaz tossed his duffle bag in the back and crawled in
the cab. I waved goodbye and was rewarded with a grin that would melt the
north pole.
Just then, Mom pulled up and honked the horn. As I climbed inside, I noted
just how shitily timed my life was.

The Present:

"Jase!" yelled Wil, who had moved some of his stuff back in, "el telefono
para tu!" I hated it when he tried to speak spanish.
I raced down the stairs and picked up the cordless and told Wil to hang up.
I waited a bit for a click, but there was none, so I found him myself and
made him hang up.
	"Jason Porter here," I said.
"Hey Jason, it's Chaz," said the most sexy voice in the world. My knees
started to liquify.
"Wassup?" I asked, trying woefully to sound casual.
"Not much, dude," he said, "I was just wondering...would you like
to...um...I don't know...hang out with me or something maybe spend the night
or something."
WOULD I EVER?!?!?!!!! "Sure," I said, "when."
"Is now cool?" he asked. I went into overdrive. I ran to my room and
started throwing bare necessities in an overnight bag while making small
talk with Chaz. By the time he had hung up, my original plan for seduction
had developed into something downright exciting.
In just a few moments, a beautiful, blonde studboy would come to MY house
and take me to HIS house where I would see HIS room and possibly HIM in (if
his sleepwear consisted of what I wore) some skimpy boxers. Possibly get a
look at HIS cock. The prospect of seeing Chaz's cock...
I unzipped and prayed that he didn't come TOO soon, this might take a
while...
