"It Has Always Been You" - Chapter 25 - Dark Cloud Looming


Mikael had heard about Amy gets angry and blasting Nick at the school main
door. Rumors stated it was bad as Amy was really going all out to ridicule
Nick for ditching her on the weekend. Mikael was perplexed to know that
Nick had somehow just kept quiet throughout it all.

There was so much that Mikael wanted to do in order to pull Nick away from
berated Amy. He had no doubt that Nick was embarrassed and was hurt by Amy
words and actions. It hurt him the most when he knew that Amy was bad
mouthing about him. Not only with Nick, but with the whole school. No
wonder everyone was giving him the sly eyes and smirking at him weirdly. It
seemed that Amy had gone on as loud and proud belittling Mikael. He could
not be bothered about it as his only main concerned was Nick.

Nick himself was having difficulties coping with Amy tyrant banter, where
in the end he could not believe that he had promised her a private spending
time, just the two of them. He had to do that and It kind of working, as
Amy had stopped bantering him and was more into him. He does hope so that
it would last throughout the day.

Throughout the week he had stayed beside Amy and giving her the full
attention as she had warranted. What frustrated him the most, he had to
avoid seeing and talking to Mikael in the processed. He could not get in
terms of not seeing, talking, holding, kissing and make love to Mikael. He
knew that Mikael was not going to be happy about it and he needed to
explain to him as soon as possible. In the meantime, he had to do what he
had to do in order to keep Amy from being suspicious about Mikael and him.

The beautiful blue sky had somehow turned to dark clouds and it casts black
shadows over Mikael and him. Nick certainly do not want to lose Mikael,
even though he was still not sure of his feelings towards him. After the
first intimate moment, he had with Mikael. He had a different perception of
his life of a straight boy. It seems that he loves both world and Mikael
had rocked his boat harder than Amy. Being away from Mikael was the hardest
he had to do and to pretend that he did not care about him was the worst he
ever did to Mikael. He really needs to see Mikael as soon as possible.

The three days were so frustrating. Even though Mikael was near him, he
could not talk with him at all. Amy was had always been beside him and
giving him the eye every time he tried to get close to Mikael. The way he
was blanking Mikael was not right. Mikael did try to talk to him. Instead
of explaining, he snapped at Mikael and it makes his heart break when he
saw the teary eyes on Mikael face. Amy seems to like it so much after
seeing Mikael sad and rejected face.

Three days, felt like three years when he was not talking to Mikael. The
only thing he can do was to give Mikael occasional glances when they were
in class or in the cafeteria. Every time he did so, he could see the Mikael
sad frowning face and sometime, streaks of tears could be seen on his
cheeks. He wanted so badly to run to him to comfort him, but he restrained
himself from doing it.

Amy had somehow been enjoying the attention from Nick. She sure felt elated
to get her man back on her side and she was not shy in kissing and hugging
Nick in the hallway or anywhere in school, especially when she noted that
Mikael was around. She pretentiously still being friendly with Mikael and
when she notices his brooding and sadness, she smiled evilly in her heart.

Mikael tried to be strong and to analyze the situation. He knew somehow
that Nick did not do it on purpose. There sure was a reason behind it. But
it hurt him so much to be blanked, ignored and snapped at by Nick. In this
situation he highly wanted just to give up on Nick and yet in his heart
says no. He wanted an answer so badly to why Nick was doing this to him. He
knew that Nick and Amy were getting closer and back together. He
understands that, but did Nick had to hurt him this way.

What can he do to drive away the dark clouds looming on his head?
