"It Has Always been You" - Chapter 31 - Madder Than Before


Amy was full of life when she was making her way to Nick's house to
surprise him. She was bouncing gleefully with anticipation on wanting to
Nick reaction. But she was so disappointed and downright angry with Nick
lack of enthusiasm. She was deeply hurt with the way Nick had reacted to
the surprised vacation that she had planned for the two of them. But she
could not blast her anger at Nick as much as she wanted too, as his parent,
especially his mother was around beside her. She knew it would not go well
with Nick's parents, especially his mother, if she ever berated Nick in
front of them.

Few days before, Amy had called to Nick's mother to ask for her permission
to take Nick away for the romantic rendezvous, during the weekends for some
alone time and to seek her advised and for some suggestion to where and
what to do.

Nick's mother had taken the liking in Amy for loving and being with her
son. She had been helpful with the suggestion and unexpectedly, Nick's
mother had even fork out some money and paid for the hotel suite as a gift
for the both of them. Amy just has to come out money for transportation,
food and entertainment. In Amy's mind, she knew exactly what type of
entertainment she would like to share with Nick. She wants to have her man
back in her life as she had missed of making love with Nick.

But to see the way Nick had reacted to her and his mom suggestion, dampens
her mood pretty badly. It was so down right heart breaking to see the man
who you love, did not feel the same way as she did. Luckily, it was by
chanced that Nick's mother was persistence and had a good controlled of
Nick ineradicable behavior. Hesitantly and reluctantly Nick went back up to
his room to shower and got himself ready for the trip.

Amy was unbelievably shocked to see Nick walking down the stairs in just a
faded loose black cargo pants with a blue flannel top, a present that was
given by Mikael, was an eyesore for her. It totally mismatched with the way
she was dressing. She was deck in beautiful flowery long dress, with a
plunging cleavage and bare back and was looking beautiful as ever for her
beloved boyfriend.

But what the hacked, she concluded for the least; Nick was moving his butt,
even though his movement was effortless and so lifeless to her liking. In
an instance, she makes a vow that she was going to make him to change his
attitude and they definitely were going to have good time together in a
hotel suite. She slyly grinned to herself with the sexual thought in her
mind.

For the last couple of weeks, or maybe months, she felt unbelievably angry
and disturbed with the changes in Nick behavior towards her. Nick seems not
as romantic as the very first time they were courting where he worships the
ground she walked on but not anymore. He always retaliated angrily to
everything he thought its wrong on her part. She nearly went into a severe
meltdown because of Nick.

Lately she noticed that Nick's been spending more time with Mikael and not
with her as he used to. She had noticed this ever since Nick was back in
good terms with Mikael. It was the time that Nick and Mikael had spent with
each other during the exam study had somehow brought them closer than ever.

The hard thing for her most was the lack of intimacy between Nick and
her. Their sexual escapade had dwindled to a mere once in two weeks and not
as passionate as before. And that make her so frustrated. Yes it's true,
she was not a virgin anymore and it did not give Nick a reason to disregard
her. Or, knowing Mikael sexual orientation somehow had made Nick to jump
ship to him. Is Mikael and Nick had a sexual relationship? Is Mikael had
been filling Nick sexual needs behind her? Well....it was more truth than
she knew...only if she knew.

The ride in the taxi was quiet all the way with just the occasional yes and
no answer from Nick. Most of the ride, Nick was staring into space and not
well responding to all of her question and conversation. She relented and
let him go for now and yet in her mind she was planning to grab Nick full
attention when they were together at the hotel.

Arriving at the hotel, Nick nonchalantly walk out of the taxi and went to
retrieve their luggage from the bonnet. He left Amy back in the cab to
settle the transport fee. After payment, she went to Nick and gave him a
hard stare down but Nick just ignored her totally. By now, she was furious
with his attitude and behavior. She wanted to confront him but decided she
will reserve it when they got to their room.

Once the hotel check-in done, the front desk had called for a bell boy to
usher them to their suites with their luggage on hand. Entering the room,
he showed them the interior setting. From the king-size bed, the wall
mounted 50" television set, the marble floor toilet and bathroom amenities,
and many other things. They gave him twenty dollars tips which make the
bell boy smiled widely as he walked out the door.

She did the unpacking of their luggage into the cupboard and she was
surprised to see with what Nick had pack inside his bag. He had only packed
two pairs of boxers, a pair of black skinny jeans, a blue symmetrical
designed button up shirt, two t-shirts with graffiti on the front and some
standard toiletries.

"Are you out of your mind to only pack all this for the trip?" Amy was
glaring at Nick with disbelieved.

"What, as I am not sure where we are going so I just pack what I seem
right." Nick shrugged his shoulders and acted nonchalantly.

"Are you kidding me Nick?" she was totally had lost her patience with
Nick. "I am making trying my best to make an effort Nick. Just wanting us
to be together, me and you alone for just these two days, and yet you could
not even the least look appreciative." She was fuming mad at Nick.

"How can I be Amy, when you do these things without even consulting me,
instead to my mother...really?" Nick suddenly was the one snapping at
Amy. She startled from the aggressive retaliation in Nick's reaction. On
her mind she was puzzled with the situation. Was not she the one supposed
to feel angry and not Nick? Yet it was vice versa. She was the one that was
getting the brunt of Nick anger.

"I am trying being a good girlfriend to you and all of this is for us, for
once being alone without anyone else distracting you." Amy tried to reason
with Nick with a softer tone in her voice. She's been trying hard to calm
Nick down and not to ruin the vacation.

"What distraction are you referring too?" Nick question Amy. "Is there
anyone in particular?" He was glaring at her face, demanding for answer
from her.

"Yes, it's Mikael!" She retorted back at Nick. "Ever since you are back
together with him, you have ignored me." Amy was sobbing with tears pouring
out of her eyes, streaking down her cake face which was full of make-up.

"For goodness' sake Amy. Mikael is my best friend and will always be. Is it
wrong for me to spend time with him, like you spending your time with
Sandra and the other girls." Nick retaliated with sarcasms and would not
bother to help to soothe Amy.

He felt so frustrated enough being drag into this situation where he would
rather be spending his weekends with Mikael like he initially planned to
do. But all was ruined and he was not able to call to Mikael to explain
everything. He dreaded to the way Mikael going to react to all of this. So
he had planned to reach out to Mikael first thing first once he's back
home. He needed to explain to Mikael and apologized to him.

"But I am your girlfriend and I need as much attention from you and not for
you is seen around him all the time." Amy was just sniffling as her
teardrops rapidly flowed down her face. "Am I not good enough for you Nick,
tell me now, Nick?" Amy demanded answer from Nick.

"Being good is to ask me in the beginning if I am able to go, then to make
plans together and not behind anyone's back and expected me just to be okay
with it." Nick replied. With that replied Nick turned away from Amy. Took
all his clothes from his bag and stuff it back in them again. Amy was
baffled and yet she did not know what to do. So she did the best thing for
that moment, pack her things into the closet and try to make amends with
Nick.

For the rest of the trip they tried to look happy and be a normal
couple. By going out for the romantic candle light dinner where Amy had
booked earlier at the infamous Mexican restaurant around the hotel
vicinity. They also did go out for movies and silently went for a strolled;
soaking on the ambiance, of the night-life in the city had to offer.  They
did not have sex like Amy had wanted to as Nick said he was not in the
mood. At night, they spent the time with hugging and cuddling each other
till they fall asleep on the most comfortable king-size bed. Amy knew
something drastic had change in regard to Nick behavior towards her. As her
love for Nick was still strong, she decided to do whatever it takes to hold
on to her man.

The next day, they check out from the hotel early in the morning at ten
o'clock after a hearty breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The taxi was
already waiting for them at the hotel lobby. They ride off back home once
after Amy had settled all the bills. As they approached their town area,
Nick requested for the taxi to send Amy home first, despite her
disagreement, and then turned to send him next. Without Amy knowing, he
redirected the taxi to go ahead to Mikael house instead of his house once
he was far away from Amy's eye sight.


Nick felt pretty nervous as the taxi was strolling down the familiar road
to Mikael house. As nervous and anticipated he is of Mikael reaction, he
still thought that Mikael deserved his personal self-there to explained
what had really been going on. He would not lie to Mikael no more. He felt
so much for Mikael and had silently been feeling kind of falling in love
with Mikael.

Amy was madder than ever with Nick, for ruining her planned for the
deserving romantic getaway. And to just drove away in the cab, not even a
goodbye kiss from him. She knew what's needed to be done and Nick's mother,
needed to be part of it. The things she had in mind will make her get her
man back.

Only God knows what it is......Hmmmmmmmm!
