It Has Always Been You - Regret..Sadness...Missing


After the incident in the gym between him and Mikael, Nick was feeling
awful with the things he had done. He regret in hurting Mikael. He regrets
in being friend with Jason. He regrets following his selfish desire. And
because of that, he lost his best mates in the worst way.

He did not mean to hurt Mikael, he just have too. Firstly, he just wanted
to uphold his reputation of being straight. Secondly, he just could not
face the wrath of Jason tormenting him every day for the rest of his school
life. He just couldn't handle it. He did succeed in stopping Jason from
disturbing him and the end result, Jason thought it was an invitation for
them to be friends. As now they will always be seen together. Nick would
rather have Mikael than Jason.

Town Centre

Nick was just wandering around when he saw Mikael exiting from one of the
shop. He grinned widely as he was happy to see him. He began to quick step
and light jogs to reach Mikael. Once near he taps on Mikael shoulder to get
his attention.

Mikael felt his shoulder being tapped, he stops in his tracks took out his
ear piece and turned around. When he saw it was Nick, he turned around back
and walked away hurriedly.

" Mikael, please stop. I need to talk to you." Nick pleading with him.

"What do you want?" Mikael asked while staring at Nick.

" I want to say sorry for what happen at the gym. It just with all the
things had been said by others about me being ga........."  Nick simply
cannot completed his words. " What...?" Nick frowning when he saw Mikael
looking at the ground.

" I though you were different." Mikael said with a sad voice.

"What...what different are you talking about?" Nick questioned Mikael.

" Don' t you worry...I'm not saying you're gay." Mikael explained to Nick
with a smirked.

"If you think I'm not gay...then why....why did you try on me." Nick
stuttered.

"You really do not get it...don't you." Mikael shakes his head and turned
way to leave.

Nick looked confused but when he realized Mikael is walking away, he
quickly grab Mikael arm and said, " Look..mate...I'm sorr...."  Mikael
stopped Nick from finishing his sentence.

"What....?  Mate.....? Are you bloody serious? Do you realize what you have
done to me?" Mikael snapped at Nick.

Nick was baffled with Mikael strong reaction. He knows what he had
done. The evidence was at Mikael face. Bruised right eye, broken nose and
swollen lips. It's enough to be reminded how savaged he is.

He could not say anything, just stared at Mikael walking away with a heavy
heart. He will like to run to Mikael to hug him...but he was rooted to the
ground.

Day and time had pass. Nick and Amy had gone back together as a
couple. Amy, Sandra and Mikael had became friends again putting any
differences among them behind.

The Coffee Club

Nick had agreed to meet Amy at the coffee club in town. When he entered the
cafe, he scanned the area looking for her. He smiled when he saw her waving
to him for attention. He also saw Sandra and Mikael. He walked to the table
and gave a kissed to Amy but from the corner of his eyes, he was looking at
Mikael who was fidgeting with his finger.

" Have a seat." Amy pointed to an empty seat at their table opposite of
Mikael.

" No. I think I'm going to get me a drink first." Nick walked towards the
counter. As sudden as it is, Mikael stood up, gather his beg from the floor
and trying to leave.

" Where are you going?" Sandra asked grabbing his hands.

"Sorry...I've got to go. I have things to do at the club with setting up
for tonight." he left the table hastily.

"We" ll meet you up at the club..." Amy shouted above the surrounding noise
so Mikael can hear her. Mikael stops at the exit door, turned to face Amy
and nodded his head and left the coffee club.

"All this is messing with my head badly." Amy spoke to Sandra, snapping her
awake

" What?" Sandra looked confusedly at Amy.

"Yeah...all this issue about Nick and Mikael not speaking and avoiding each
other. They are supposed to be best mates and now this happen. What should
we do?" Amy spoke lengthily. Sandra not knowing how to answer, she just
shrugged her shoulder.

When Nick returned to the table with his drinks, he was saddened when he
noticed Mikael had left. Felling sappy he sat down at the chair once sited
by Mikael. He still can feel the warmth on the chair left by Mikael.

"Well, do you fancy on going to the club tonight?" Nick was snapped from
his day dreaming when Amy asked him.

" Why, Mikael is DJing there tonight?" Nick frowned while asking Amy.

"And...why? Is there a problem?" Amy speaks with a bit of anger in her
voice.

" Yeah...and you know why." Nick smirked at Amy.

" Can both of you please stop acting like a kid." Amy retorted.

"Ok...but if Mikael blank on me tonight...I'll leave." Nick compromised but
on his heart he does really want to meet Mikael.

" Fine...I do also hope both of you can resolve your problems." Amy hopeful
expression to Nick.

How was it that Nick is missing Mikael so badly. He should know that it is
not going to be easy for Mikael to forgive him. But he's determined to sort
things out with Mikael tonight at the club. He really did miss Mikael so
much. After all he is the best mates Nick ever have.
