"It Has Always Been You" - Chapter 41 - Surprises (Nifty/Gay/highschool)


It was a fantastic winter holiday for Mikael, Nick, Hayden and
Cornelly. They were enjoying, every single moment there, spent with each
other. There were so much love, lust and affection to be shared among the
two pair of lovers. Nick began to realize; he had himself devoted to loving
a sweet guy as Mikael.

It was the best that had ever transpired to Nick. Even so, he by any means
whatsoever made the deduction and believe that, whatever had ensued between
him and Mikael was denoted to be as it was fated by GOD.

Nick now fully apprehended with all things that had transpired between him,
and Mikael was fated by GOD. It was through the action of Mikael and his
counteraction to the unabridged scenario that had juddered him from his
fallacy of life itself. He wanted the relationship between him and Mikael
to work. No one else's point of view matters, not even his mother. He knew
that his father was supportive of him and Mikael's relationship. Even so,
knowing that he did not officially come out to his father about being gay
or at least bisexual.

Mikael himself could not believe that he had Nick for the whole winter
without a single drama. The time spent with Nick was magical and
vehement. Nick had never been this extremely passionate with him and
somehow would react in a confused state every time they make
love. Nevertheless, for the last few intimate moments they shared, Nick was
fervent, in controlled, loving and gentle. Nick was making love to Mikael
and not just having sex.

It was somewhere in March, when Mikael was invited to the Cornelly's house
to commemorate Nick's mother's natal day. He was indeed dumbfounded to be
invited at all. When Nick informed him of the invitation, he did have lots
of hesitations.

Mikael was contemplating attending, but Nick had insisted for him to be
there as he had a surprised for Mikael too. Mikael insisted for Nick to
tell him, but Nick just shrugged his shoulder and beamed at him.

The day was a Friday night after school, Mikael went straight back home. As
the dinner was scheduled at seven o'clock, Mikael had a lot of time to get
himself readied for the occasion. When he arrived at home, his father
instantly asked if Mikael was invited to Emily's birthday party dinner at
the Cornelly's.

"Mikael, are you attending to Emily's birthday party dinner?" Hayden
instantaneously asked Mikael as soon as he saw Mikael entering the door.

Mikael sighed and replied to his father, "Yes father. Are you being invited
too?" Mikael reciprocated half-heartedly to his father.

"I am, Mikael. Literally, Cornelly was the one who invited me." Hayden
echoed. However, he did awareness of Mikael procrastinated voice. He
wondered why, but he merely disregarded it.

"Then we shall go together, father. Did you get any present for her?"
Mikael queried as he did not. He was not really enthusiastic in getting
one. Probably, he would just get her a bouquet of fresh flowers and a box
of the most expensive Belgian chocolate along the way. There was a fancy
delicatessen that sold exquisite desserts from around the world. It was the
best that he can do.

"Yeah, a Longines Ultra Slim La Grande Classique Ladies Watch. I got it on
the way back home a moment ago. Do hope she likes it." Hayden breathes
deeply.

"She has a good taste father. It might not be facile to satiate her needs."
Mikael forewarned Hayden.

"I would not care much about it Mikael. If she wants it, she can have
it. If she does not, I took it back." Hayden himself does not like Emily
that much. Especially after he knew the way, she had treated Cornelly and
Nick all this time. He was still angry about her to be so self-centre and
willingly left her husband and son in order for her to have her spendthrift
moment, spending whatever moneys Cornelly's provided for her.

When they arrived at the Cornelly's, they were greeted by Cornelly and
Nick. They were ushered inside and were surprised to see there were about
twenty other peoples in the house. They were mostly Emily's friends and
their husbands from the clique.

Mikael took a glance around the living room. He did notice Amy's standing
with her parents at one corner across the room, isolated from the rest of
the distinguished guests. Mikael did not have any resentment towards Amy's
parents, but her presence there gave him uneasiness feeling.

Emily could be seen walking around talking to each guess, and she even took
the gift from his father and just chucked it on the table where there were
lots of other gifts. As the evening progresses, Nick and Mikael were seen
talking and laughing with each other. When suddenly Amy made an appearance
beside Nick, grabbed his arm and pulled him and wanting to kiss
him. Surprisingly, Nick stopped Amy and growled at her.

"What are you doing?" Nick snarled at her in front of Mikael. "Are you out
of your mind?" Nick was grumbling at Amy indirectly.

"I am merely trying to give you a kiss, as you have been ignoring me the
whole time I was here. Instead, you have been with Mikael all night long."
Amy retorted. She was agitated and angry at Nick's reaction toward her.

"And it should have stayed that way. I am not going to osculating you in
front of these people." Nick turned away from her and faced to see Mikael
worrisome looks.

"Why are you doing this to me Nick?" Amy was on a verge of tears. She tried
to show Nick her bitterness, but Nick didn't bother about it.

Nick was trying hard to ignore her, and yet he turned to face her and said,
"You are just being paranoid Amy." He did not say much more. He grabbed
hold of Mikael's hand and walked away from her towards the table where the
drinks of champagne, red and white wine and some cakes were situated.

Mikael saw how flustered Nick looks, and he was very concerned and
worried. "Nick, are you alright?" As their hand was still connected, Mikael
gave a light squeezed to assured Nick that he was there for him.

"Yes, I am Mikael. I just could not believe she wanted to do that in front
of everybody, especially knowing you are beside me." Nick took a gulped of
the white wine in his hand. "Babe, I had promised you that what you and I
have is real, and I do not want you to get angry and end up; I'm going to
lose you again." Nick took another sip, "I have enough of her drama all
this while, and I choose you to love and not her. I rather am kissing you
than her babe" Nick spoke in the lowest voice ever, making sure that only
Mikael could hear him.

Mikael blushed from hearing what Nick had said to him. Is this the
surprised that Nick's talk about telling him? He looked at Nick lovingly,
and Nick reciprocates. They were so much in love at that moment. Without
them realized, there was someone from the opposite side across the room
that was staring and glaring at them with disgusted looks. Nonetheless, she
felt secure, knowing what's going to happen during dinner time.

Cornelly and Hayden had retreated into the cigar room where the rests of
the husbands were. Hayden did not smoke at all. Being a doctor, he would
not poison himself with second-hand smoke. Even so, he did not tell
Cornelly about his disliked and just rejected the offer of a cigar from
him. Cornelly saw the uneasy situation Hayden was in. He approached him and
holds Hayden's waist gently without other knows about it. Hayden smiled,
knowing it was Cornelly's hand around his waist and scooted closer to
him. They were standing further away from the rest of the guys, and they
conversed with each other.

."Babe, are you alright. You look so out of place and uncomfortable. You
seem not to want to be in here." Cornell got apprehensive about seeing his
man in that state of discombobulate.

"I am alright babe. Please do not worry about me." Hayden responded with a
smile glimmered upon his face.

Cornelly wanted to believe Hayden. Nevertheless, he had a skepticism
knowing how uncomfortable Hayden looked.

"Do not lie to me babe. Please tell me the truth and just be blunt to me."
Cornelly pleaded Hayden to come forward to him. He pulled Hayden closer to
his body.

"I am sorry babe; I would not want to lie to you, ever." Hayden looked
straight at Cornelly and said," I am not a smoker and being a doctor, even
though I do not like it, I am not against it if you do smoke." His voice
oscillated as he spoke to Cornelly. He was not sure, to why he got
emotional about it. Maybe, he just did not want to hurt Cornelly's
feelings.

"Babe, I am so sorry for hauling you in here." Cornelly sounded regrettable
and remorseful, "Let's immediately get out of this place and go to grab
ourselves a drink." Cornelly felt relieved to see Hayden smiling face.

They met their sons at the drink's table and poured themselves some
champagne. They chatted with them and seem to be in a cheerful
mood. Cornelly and Nick did not leave their partner side all night. They do
not care to talk or mingled with the guest, as they were more comfortable
with being around Hayden and Mikael.

Emily did not bother with what Cornelly and Nick were doing. She was busy
chatting and laughing with her groups of snobbish women. Standing beside
her, was Amy, looking so out of place. It was a surprised to see her not
with her parents who was sitting on the sofa. They looked awkward being
there and surrounded with all the well-to-do people.

Everyone there did know Amy's father, Mr. Timothy. He was a humble business
man who owns a grocery store in town. He was not luxuriously rich, but he
made enough to sustain the store and to provide for his family.

Nick, Mikael, Hayden and Cornelly were standing together, talking among
themselves. With must hesitation, Nick turned to looking at his father with
a nervous expression.

"Nick, do you have something to say to me?" Cornelly held on to Nick's
shoulder and shook him gently.

"Father, can we go to the other guest room away from everybody? I have
something to talk to you." Nick was pleading with his father. Cornelly
gesticulated and they proceed to the other guest room, far away from the
prying eyes.

Once they were inside, Nick locked the door to make sure no one could
enter. Nick then stood in front of Hayden and Cornelly. He pulled Mikael
closer to his side and held on to Mikael's hand.

"Father, Mr. Hayden, I do not know if this is going to be a shocked or
surprise to both of you. Nevertheless, I want to be blunt and not going to
lie about it." Nick took a deep breath. He squeezed Mikael's hand a little
and Mikael did the same to Nick's hand. Mikael got worried to what Nick had
been wanting to say. He noticed that Nick was nervous as he was shivering a
little. The fathers did not say anything and just waiting for Nick to
continue while looking at both of their sons.

Nick breathes in deeply again, looking at Mikael lovingly and said, "I am
gay, and I am in love with Mikael. I know I was not a good person to
Mikael, and I regret doing the things I did to Mikael. I realize that
Mikael meant a lot to me, and it was my ignorance that hurt him all this
while. Mikael did not know that I am doing this today, and I am ready to
tell the world about how much I am in love with Mikael." Nick could see
that Mikael was blushing and teary eyes.

Surprisingly, Hayden and Cornelly did not respond or reacted unhesitatingly
to the Nick revelation of his sexuality. Their impeccable silence was too
much for both Mikael and Nick to handle. Nick became worried and slowly
turned to looking at the fathers. He was still holding on to Mikael's
hand. However, he got flabbergasted when he saw the fathers' facial
reactions.

He was expecting to be reprimanded or put on the spot for what he had
said. However, instead, he saw their father grinning and smiled sweetly at
him. Without any word spoken, the fathers embraced lovingly both of their
sons. They somehow knew, what was said by Nick was the truth, and it came
from his wonderful selfless heart.

They left the boys in the room to soak in the situation that had
transpired. They make their way out of the room and joined back the crowd
in the living room.

"Is this the surprised that you wanted to give it to me?" The tears fell
down Mikael cheeks. Nick was as teary as Mikael and could not even say
anything, and he just leaned towards Mikael and kissed him passionately. It
was a while before they parted, and both had the silliest grin on their
faces.

"Mikael, I love you so much, and I am never going to lose you and making
the same mistake again." They embraced each other, tighter. They felt each
other body, with their bare hand. The kiss was sensual and full of lust.

"I love you too Nick. I really do." Mikael reciprocated back to Nick. It
was the moment of truth that he was envisaging for a very long time. He for
now could breathe easily, knowing that Nick had confessed his true love for
him, in front of their fathers. It did feel like his wish was coming true.
