Disclaimer: This story is fictional.  Some of the things that happened or
will happen with Harry and Jasper, especially in the high school scene, are
bits and pieces of my life.  Parts of the character are fictional as
well. All other characters were made up and any similarities are just
coincidental.  This is gay romance between teenage boys, there may be sex,
but for the most part, it's about their true love of each other so if that

It Has Always Been You - Chapter 16 - What's Going On

As the weekend approached, Drake was excited... he's going to spend time
with his boyfriend Mikael. For the last week he was so frustrated to be
sidestepped by Mikael and what was more disturbing to him was Nick is
closer and more attached to Mikael. Knowing their history only made him
feel uncomfortable. But for today he will do anything and everything to
make Mikael feel special. He had planned everything in advance.

Drake preps himself with the new black skinny jeans that he bought the day
before. A blue flannel shirt, that Mikael loved so much. He added a dash of
Davidoff Cool Water Cologne, his favorite scent. Not forgetting his black
Vans. He had one last look in the long mirror, setting any loose hairs
straight and left the house to pick up Mikael.

It was 10am; Mikael was also prepping himself for his date with his
boyfriend. He was really looking forward to spending time with him and he
wanted to look his best. He put on his black skinny jeans and topped it off
with a blue T-shirt that had a decorative design that ran on the right
side. On top of that, a black soft cotton Hoodie to complete the look. A
dash of `Davidoff Cool Water' cologne, to scent himself equally as sweet as
Drake. He put on his blue Vans to match up his T-shirt and plunked on the
couch to wait for the Drake arrival at 11am.

Drake arrived exactly on time. He walked up to the Mikael's front door and
gave it a knock. After a moment he could hear running steps inside the
house. When the door opened, he was in awe looking at his perfectly
beautiful handsome cute boyfriend Mikael.

When Mikael realized that Drake was eyeing him, he did not wait for a call
and rushed out to hug his equally handsome, manly, good looking boyfriend,
Drake. They kissed passionately and hugged each other tightly; not wanting
to let go. They would have carried on kissing when a slight cough was heard
near them. They parted and saw Mikael's father in the doorway. Both of them
were flush with embarrassment for getting caught.

"Good day Mr. Hayden." Drake held out his right hand to shake Mikael's
father's hand.

Mikael's dad returned the handshake, "Good morning to you to Drake."

Drake was recently introduced to Mikael's father and they hit it off from
the very first day; Drake being a gentleman and a bit of a joker. They
talked, laughed and he was also questioned by them just like any parent
would do when meeting their kid's boyfriend for the first time. Drake was
honest throughout and that's what made all of them click.

Mikael was smiling happily watching his dad and boyfriend having a small
conversation and before it got too long he butted in and excused them to
leave. Saying goodbye to his dad, they went to Drake's car and proceeded on
for their date in town.

When in the car they exchange pleasantries and complements of each other's
looks. They chuckled and laughed at their matching color combination
outfit. All the way during the ride they had their hands intertwined,
feeling each other warmly and felt so much in love.  It was going to be a
perfectly good day for both of them, or was it?

They were walking along the pavement towards the cinema. The roadside was a
bit heavy with human traffic as it was the weekend. They were strolling
gaily side by side holding hands. While walking, they were talking about
everything and anything and they were having fun.
"Mikael... Mikael... Drake... Drake..." they heard their names being
called. They immediately stopped in their tracks and turned around to see
who it was. They were stretching their necks to find the body to the voice
among the crowded walkways. Emerging from the lot was Amy, waving her hands
frantically to attract their attention. She slowly made her way towards
them... and behind her was Nick.  "Hey guys... what a coincidence that we
all meet here!" Amy was really delighted.

Mikael and Drake just nodded their heads in agreement. Mikael was not
looking at Amy but more at Nick standing behind her. Nick was somewhat
quiet. Mikael was wondering what was going in his mind.

"Where are you both heading?" Amy broke the silence between them.

"Oh, we are on our way to the cinema for a movie." Drake replied.

"Sweet... mind if we both join you?" Amy seems determined.

Drake just shrugged his shoulder and looked at Mikael. What he saw made him
feel uneasy and a kind of jealous feeling arose in his heart. Mikael was
standing there looking at Nick intensely and Nick was staring back at
him. I'm not sure what was going on... but... it seems like they were
communicating in silence. Drake grips a bit tighter on Mikael's hand and
that snapped Mikael back to the present.

Mikael, feeling the hand grip, turned to Drake and saw that he was being
stared at. He smiles at him, assuring him that he was here and gripped
Drake's hand. Mikael was somewhat unsure how to reply to Amy. He wanted to
spend his day alone with Drake as much as he wanted them to join. He sensed
that Drake didn't want to. He turned his head to face Amy and said,
"Well... we love..."

Before he could finish his words, they heard Nick's voice interrupting the
conversation. "It's ok, you guys can carry on. I was thinking of going to
the mall instead." Mikael smiled at Nick for saving his awkwardness. He
looked to Drake and he was smiling too.

"But it would be good to double-date, right? In fact, I am really keen to
watch the new movies." Amy was sounding persistent. But Nick did not give
in to her.

"No Amy." Nick was staring daggers at Amy. He himself was uncomfortable to
be standing there in the first place. He already had a bad day going out
with her. All the time she had been talking non-stop about herself and Nick
was getting tired of it.

Furthermore, he was getting rather jealous seeing Mikael and Drake holding
hands all the time. He felt it was supposed to be him holding Mikael`s
hand. He was not sure if he had shown any signs of jealousy to Mikael, as
all knew was that he did not like Drake that much for all sorts of reasons;
mainly for taking Mikael away from him.

"So Mikael, I'll call you later, eh? And we can catch up with things." Nick
was more talking to Mikael than both of them.

"Sure... sure... so see you guys later." Mikael stuttered replying to Nick.

Without further delay, he pulled Drake away and continued their walk to the
cinema. He could sense that Drake somehow had stiffened up and looked
groggy. He stopped for a while, standing in front of Drake, lifts his
hands, cupped Drake's face and pulled him in for a kiss.  Drake was
surprised by Mikael's spontaneous action, but when they parted from their
kiss he was smiling again. He tried to be happy for Mikael and will do
anything to make the day joyfully. But in his heart he can see that Nick
and Mikael still had that connection and it worried him.

"What are you trying to do Amy... huh?" Nick was furious with her." Are you
suggesting having a snog Fest with them or what?"

"I was just thinking, if you are going to be friends again with Mikael,
then you have to be able to look beyond their relationship and just be
friends with them." Amy tried to explain her motive but Nick isn't taken in
at all.

"It was fine between me and Mikael and please, if you ever want to suggest
anything like that again, please have the courtesy to tell me first, okay?"
Nick's voice gets a pitch higher to show his anger at Amy. Without waiting
for her reply, he walked off from her towards the entrance of the mall. Amy
felt kind of shocked by Nick's reaction, but refocused herself and followed
Nick.

Mikael was having a blast on this date with Drake. Drake had been nothing
but nice and loving. After their movies, they walked a bit around town and
then went to dinner at one of the restaurants.

Mikael was truly glad that he went on this date with Drake. Yet he felt
gladder to see Nick. He didn't know why, but he was just glad.  After
dinner, they went back to Mikael's place and Drake stayed for the night
after Mikael's dad gave his permission. They did not do anything heavy,
just lots of kissing and making out. Both were too tired from the day's
events. They instead went to sleep while spooning each other in slumber
land.

For Nick and Amy, it was a different situation. Nick did not talk much and
after dinner, he just brought Amy home. She wanted him to stay, but he gave
her excuses not too. So he kissed her on the cheeks and left.

What a constructive day for both Nick and Mikael.

What's going to happen next between the two of them? They for sure had
hearts for each other, but yet they were both afraid to tell one
another. Nick was extremely jealous of Mikael's relationship with Drake and
as much as he wanted to, he would not want to be the one to destroy it.

Nick was not sure what the days ahead might bring and he was determined to
do what he needed to do... hmmm!
