Jerry woke up again and it was 5:15, he laid there and was just waking

headed for the door.

his car and backed out of the drive, headed toward the school but had to

his dad was getting ready for work. He asked if he could talk to both of

started, mom , dad I have something I want to ask and want you to think
about before you answer,  I just found out that Mike has cancer, he is
not doing well right now and I would like to be able to stay there and

Mike and his mom headed for the doctor's office, when they got there a
male nurse came out to help mike into the office, they went into the
waiting room and he placed him in a chair, The doctor will be with you
shortly.

Jerry had left for school and was happy because his parents had seen

Mike and his mom were sitting and waiting for the doctor to come out,

treatment tomorrow and it will hopefully put the cancer in remission, the
rally bad part is that your legs are not going to get any stronger, only
weaker, I would
suggest that you get a wheelchair for getting arounf when you go out and
for long trips, try to walk as much as possible around the house, and
stop when
ever you styart to feel weak, you don't want to fall and hurt yourself.
Other that that we will have to wait and see how the chemo works.  I will
check
with you in about two weeks and see how things are going.

Mike and his mom said thanks, his momhelped him out of the office and out
to the car, she looked at him and said ok now where do you want to get
something to eat, he smiled and said, I guess I sort of lost my appetite,
His mom said, Micheal you need to eat, Mike said ok mom how about Jack in
the Box, she
starteed the car and off they went.

Mike looked at his watch and saw that it was nearly 2:30, it had taken
nearly all day, he looked over at his mom and said , mom sorry tat this
ruined your day, I will try to make it up to you,

She smiled and said, honey I really did not mind and I got a chance to
spend all day with my favorite man, what could be better than that,  they
ate and then they headed back to the house.

Mike's cell phone rang and when he answered it it was Jerry, What's going
on was his first question, Mike said how about you come over after school
and I will tell you all about it.

Jerry said, ok I will meet you at the house, later, and hung up, he did
not want to tell him he was already waiting  at the house.

Mike was really surprised when they got home and Jerry was already
there.  Mike asked, what did you get out early,

Jerry said will you said to meet you when I get home, well I am home.

going to live here, with me and my mom.

Jerry said, yes sir, until you throw me out or ...................... he
stopped and changed the subject, lets go inside, I understand you have a

Jerry helped him into the house and said, tell me everything, befoe I
start to do my homework. He asked him to wait a minute and went out into
the kitchen and walk up to Mike's mom and said, I forgot to ask you if it
was ok for me to stay here.

She turned around and she had been crying, she hugged Jerry and and all
she coould say was, Thank you so very much, you have made Mike so happy,
now
you go and let this foolish old woman cry in private.

Jerry said, You know I love you to, then he took the sides of her face
iin his hand s and kissed each cheek and said, No thank you. then he
turned and
went out to the living room to be with Mike.

It was almost 6:00 went mike got through tell Jerry everything the docotr
said, and mom came in and said I just finished dinner and you both better
be hungry, Jerry helpedd Mike up and out to the kitchen, the sat down and
mom had made Mike's favoriet meal, BBQ ribs, corn on the cob and french
fries.
the boys ate and after they ate, Jerry helped mike back to the living
room and then headed out to the kitchem to help clean up, Mom said, you
go do  your
homework i will clean up.

Jerry stopped in the living room and told Mike that he was going into the
bedroom to use his desk to get his homework done. he went in and when he
finishe it was just about 10:30, he went out into the living room and
told Mike that they should go to bed, they both had to go to school
tomorrow.

Mike said, I don't think that I will be able to walk around school all
day.

Jerry said well we have all the same classes,  I will just get us a pass
to leave early so we can get from class to class, no problem. Now are you
ready to go to bed, or do I have to carry you, then he smiled.

Mike said, I think I can make it by my self, but you better follow me

They finally made it to the bedroom, Jerry asked, do you need any help
getting undressed.
