Chapter 7 Grandma gives Cameron a surprise.

Well we got home to find my Mom cooking dinner. " Hey, you guys go up and
wash your hands and get ready for dinner." " Okay Mom we will. Be back down

you too Cameron, now let's sit down with JR and His Mom and discuss a few
things."

"Well first let me tell you that you have a lot going for you young
man. Your parents had an insurance policy and named you as their
beneficiary. The policy was in the amount of Twenty five thousand dollars
and they had a double indemnity clause which means that due to them dying
by accident that the policy value would be double. So young man as it
stands right now you have Fifty Thousands dollars coming to you in the form
of a trust fund. I am the executor of that fund and it is up to me how the
money is given to you. I have made some arrangements for most of the money
to be invested for you until you are eighteen years old. I do have to go to
the bank this morning to take care of all of this but I am going to arrange
to have Ten thousand dollars put in an account for expenses. Now this
doesn't mean that you can go and buy every video game on the market. It
means that this money will be what you will be using to live on, on a day
by day, week by week, month by month basis. Also, there are stocks and
bonds that your parents had that will be converted over to your name and
they will be put in trust until you are twenty one years old. At that time
you can do what you like with the stocks and bonds."  " Well, Grandma I
have one question, where am I gonna live?" " I spoke on the phone with JR's
Mom and she said that until they get ready to move to California that you
could stay with them. Is that Okay with you?" " Sure, that sounds great but
what happens when they move to LA." " Well I have a surprise for you young
man when they get ready to move you will come to live with me." "Yeah but
grandma you live far away from California and I wouldn't get to see JR."
"Well here is the surprise as soon as they get settled in LA they are going
to look for a place for you and I to live so that you could be close to JR
and his family." "Really Grandma, Really. I love you Grandma." " And I love
you to Cameron and I will be doing everything I can to keep you happy."
Cameron got up and gave his grandma a big hug and kiss and then ran over
and gave me the same.  This was all new to me too and when she said about
them moving out to LA I just about jumped out of my seat. " Well Cameron I
will be here for a couple of days yet taking care of your parents business
and putting your house up for sale. So sometime in the next couple of days
why don't you come over and we will go through your parents stuff and make
sure that you take what you want out of the house." " Okay Grandma Thanks."

Well his grandmother left and we went upstairs to play some video games.
