Life after Mike         Chapter 3


Paul woke up early and as he opened his eyes he was face to face with a
still sleeping Jerry, after looking at his for several minutes, he leaned
in and gently kissed him lightly on the lips. He then slowly rolled out of
bed and headed for the bathroom, he went in and closed the door took his
morning pee, brushed his teeth, climbed into the shower, and when he was

finished the kitchen went in to join Mrs. O'Leary in the living room.

Paul got up and walked over to Mrs. O'Leary and kissed her on the cheek and
said good night mom, I will see you in the morning, then he turned and said
good night to Jerry and kissed him as well, as he walked by Mrs. O'Leary
she had a smile on her face and said, I see you two are getting closer,
Mike would be very happy.

Jerry sat there for a few more minutes and the walked over and said good
night and kissed her on the cheek, then headed for the bed room, He walked
in and closed the door and walked over to the bed and saw that Paul was
sound asleep, and looked cute as could be.  Jerry went to the other side of
the bed and got undressed and climbed into bed, he laid there for a little
while and slowly started to nod off and finally about 30 minutes later was
sound asleep.

Paul for some reason suddenly woke up at 2:30, he looked around the room
and was going to go back to sleep when he decided to go to the bathroom, He
got out of bed and walked about half way to the bathroom, when he saw a
faint glimmer around the computer desk, he looked over and was confused by

I would find again after I lost Michael, I am sure that he is watching over

Paul looked at her and said when my mom left I was devastated, I thought I
would never know the love and compassion that can only be shared between a
mother and her son. You have given me a chance to feel that special bond,
and thanks to Mike, I will be able to share that with you for many years to
come. You are very special to me and I can say without any misgiving, I am
very grateful for the love that you and I will be sharing from now on, I
Love you Mom.

Jerry came out just at the end of the conversation and said, hey can I get

Mrs. O'Leary looked at both boys and gave them each a little mock smack on

The boys sat down and ate the breakfast the she had prepared, they each

school things and then headed out the door to school.

Mrs. O'Leary sat down looked up to the ceiling and with a tear rolling down

the boys ran to the car and jumped in started it up and hurried out of the
parking lot and were headed home, they flew into the drive, Paul jumped out
of the car and ran to the door opened it and hurried inside, He found
Mrs. O'Leary laying on the kitched floor and not moving. He knelt beside,
and as Jerry came in Paul said call 911, Paul felt for a pulse and found
one although it was weak.

A few moments later the paramedics arrived, and were checking her out and
told the boys that they would be transporting her to the hospital, they
told them which one and were off, Jerry loked the door and followed them in
his car. When they arrived at the hospital they took Mrs. O'Leary to
intensive care and took the necessary vitals and blood, hgooked her up to
the heart machine and said that they would have to wait for the
doctor. Paul asked can I stay with her, the nurse said of course, Paul
stood by the side of the bed, and quietly said Mom please don't leave
me. Her felt a hand on his shoulder and turned and with his mouth wide open
was staring at a figure of Michael, the hand patted him on the shoulder,
smiled and shook his head yes! Paul knew then that she would be ok, but he
also knew that he would be paying much more attention to her, and watching
her very close from now on, He was not going to take another chance, he was
not going to lose her. Michael winked at him and Paul once again felt a
warm touch on his cheek, looking at Michael again he watched as he faded
and disappeared.

Jerry came in and asked how is she?

Paul smiled and said she will be fine, I have Michael's word on that.

Jerry said you saw Mike?

Paul nodded yes!

Jerry just stood there in disbelief, then he said, you are so lucky.

Paul smiled and said, you know you are right, first I get to have one of
the best friends you could hope for, then O get the best boy friend any one
could want, them to find a beautiful lady like Mrs. O'Leary that is willing
to take me in and call me her own, he looked at Jerry and said, yes I am
the luckiest boy alive.

Mrs. O'Leary opened her eyes and turned her head to face Paul and Jerry,
she asked what happened?

Paul smiled and said I do not know, but there are going to be some major
changes made, staarting right now, mom you ared going to have to start
taking it easy from now on! I will do whaat needs to be done around the
house, and with tears running down his cheeks, he said Mom I would not be
able to handle loosing you, I will take care of you from now on, I promise.
He looked at her and said I have to talk to Jerry for a moment ok, I will
be right back. Paul and jerry went to the waiting room and found it to be
emty. He looked at Jerry and said I wanted you to make love to me tonight,

to take care of mom, I am sorry but there will be another time, I promise,
and very soon.

Jerry had a look on his face the was shocking to Paul, Jerry said If you

The boys went back in with mom, she was resting comfortably, she said to

Paul said mom we are not leaving you alone here, one of us will stay with
you all night.

She looked at Pasul and with a look on her face that Paul had only seen one
other time she said you boys will go home and do as I say or I will be very
upse.

Paul looked at her as said yes mom, is ther anything you want before we
leave?

Mom looked at both boys and said yes, I will be fine, you two go home and
don't worry about me, I will be home in a day or two, ok.

Paul said you promise you will be home in a couple days.

Jerry said You better be we need you so much

Mom smiled and said will you both come closer, the boys leaned down and mom
said, Paul and I have it on good authority that everything is going to be
fine, then she winked at Paul and smiled.

Paaul looked at her with wide eyes and quietly said you saw him.

Mom said yep, and he is as beautiful as I remember him.

The boys each kissed her goodnight, then left to go home, on the way Paul
said Jerry are you mad at me because of what I said to you at the hospital.

Jerry squinted in mock disapproval, looked at Paul and said, nope, I still
love you you little munchkin.

Paul feeling much better now, grabbed his crotch and said this iss no
