Life After Mike              Chapter 9


Paul woke about 4:00 in the morning and was filled with a feeling he had
never felt before, it was some what familiar but yet again it was totally
alien to him, the room had a faint glow coming in from the window, that was
just enough to light up the room with a soft and gentle highlighting of
objects scattered throughout the room. Paul sat up and looked around, he
looked at Jerry who was sleeping beside him. Paul's attention was suddenly
drawn to the chair near the computer, that seemed to have a figure sitting
in it. It was a vague and almost invisible figure, just sitting there and
staring at Paul.

Jerry started to stir a little, nuzzled up against Paul again and then
settled back down.

Paul was fascinated by the figure, it was something that he sort of
remembered but then again something that seemed very strange to him as
well. the figure continued to stared at Paul and the longer the figure
stared it seemed the more familiar it became. Then as if by design, with a
questioning Paul trying to figure it out, a small shaft of light starting
and the sitting figure and steadily streaming across the room and ended
illuminating the picture of Mike that hung on the wall. Paul smiled with a
knowing that it was Mike and he suddenly became very sad, the figure looked
very down hearted, paul slowly got out of bed and started to approach the
figure, it rose from the chair and drifted over to the side of the bed that
Jerry was sleeping on and pointed to Jerry, then looked back at Paul and
smiled, the figure then placed his hands over his heart and smiled again
and then just faded away..  Paul went and got back in bed and laid down and
went back to sleep trying to figure out what had just happened. After
falling asleep Paul had the most beautiful dream, he and Jerry holding
hands and just loving each others company, Paul woke with a start and
realize that the figure of Mike was telling him that the two of them should
become a couple.

The next morning Jerry woke up and was laying there looking at Paul
sleeping. he got up and went to the bathroom and took a shower and cleaned
up. When he came back into the bedroom Paul was sitting on the bed and was
waiting for him. Paul thinking that it was only 2 days away from the prom
and there was no way that he was going to allow Jerry to not go or even go
alone.

Paul asked Jerry to come sit beside him, and as Jerry sat down Paul took
his hand and started to speak. He began with the idea of the two of the
attending the prom together, which since the operation Jerry had
dismissed. Paul looked at Jerry and said that he had decided that no matter
what he was going to go to the prom with Jerry even if it were for only a
little while, Paul knew that once he got there that he would just sit and
take it easy and that Jerry would be able to hang out with his friends and
have a good time. Paul was not going to feel that he was the one that
ruined the prom for Jerry.. He looked him in the eyes and said that he
wanted to know what time Friday they would be going to the prom.

Jerry smiled and said I thought that we agreed that we would skip the prom
and just hang out here with each other.

Paul smiled and said that Friday night was going to be a night that Jerry
would remember for a long time to come as Paul was going to give himself to
Jerry completely and that they would never again be apart. their love would
hopefully stand the test of time and they would spend the rest, of whatever
life they had together. Paul wanting to show Jerry the love that he had for
him gently pushed him down on to the bed and started to kiss him, Jerry
responding almost instantly, not have any sexual release in almost 10 days,

The boys took a shower together with Jerry paying close attention to Paul

they got into the car and drove away, while on the way to the mall to find
something for Jerry for Friday night, they stopped and did some minor
shopping, that was when Paul became very upset.

Jerry asked what the matter was.

Paul just pointed over at the service station to a young man that was
sitting there and looked like he was begging for money.  they both stood
there for a moment when the attendant came out and kicked him and yelled at
him to get out of there before he called the police. The young man rose and
started to turn, that was when the attendant pushed him from behind causing
him to fall face first to the ground. the attendant then went back
inside. Paul started to run over to the young mad and Jerry was
unsuccessful in his attempt to stop him, he followed close behind. Paul
arrived there and quickly helped the young man up and asked if he was
OK. He looked at the young man and saw that he was bleeding for a cut on
his forehead and had some scrapes on the side of his face. he looked at
Jerry and he smiled and said I will go get the car, he went back across the
street and was getting into the car when he noticed the attendant come back
out.

Paul turned and said " may I help you."

the attendant said " oh I see, you both decided to take me on, well that's
fine I will kick both of your butts, you will be sorry you ever came to
this station."

Paul smiled and said really, well you you mind if I asked you to go inside
and call the police, I would like them to be here when I press charges
against you for assault and battery, against this minor here, so you may
also want to call someone else in to watch the place, while they take your
sorry ass to jail.

The attendant looked at Paul and said, I asked this person to leave and he
refused to go.

Paul said well I saw what happened, you came out yelled at him and as he
stood and turned around you pushed him down from behind.

Jerry pulled up and said sir why don't you just go back inside and I will
try to settle my friend down. the attendant went inside and Jerry smiled at
small and said why don't we take this young man somewhere and get him
cleaned up and have his cuts looked after. then you can decide what you
want to do.

They all climbed into the car and they headed to a outpatient medical care
unit. They cleaned up the cuts and bandaged them and the 3 of them left.

Paul turned around to the young man in the back seat and asked what his
name was.

The young man in the rear seat replied, thanks for your help, my name Pryce
and I have been thrown out of my house by my dad because, well lets just
say that I am different and leave it at that.

Paul smiled at Pryce and said so how long have you known that you were gay?

Pryce looked at him and all he could do was stutter and turn red.

Paul said please don't be scared, my name is Paul and this is my lover
Jerry. If you don;t mind I would like you to come home with us and stay
until you figure out what our plans are.

Pryce looked at Paul with a confused and dazed look on his face. He started
to speak and then stopped. He was unsure of what to say. he was not sure if
this was a true straight from the heart offer or if there would be some
kind of condition that would follow. He took a deep breath and said " I
would like that, however, is there any thing that I would be required to
do?" I do not do sexual favors in exchange for anything.

Paul said well then I guess you will feel right at home because we do not
accept sex as payment for anything.

All three boys returned home and they entered the house, Pryce was
introduced to mom and then they were off to the bedroom, price was shown
where everything was and the first thing he did was ask if he could take a
shower.

Paul said sure and while you are doing that we will try to find you
something to wear, Paul went over to the closet and opened it and there he
was almost slapped in the face as he gazed upon Mike's clothing hanging
there. He reached in pulled out a shirt and pair of pants, he was suddenly
filled with a happy feeling knowing that these cloths would be going to a
needy person, and felt that Mike's would feel the same.

The remainder of the day was taken up by a very curious Paul, Jerry and mom
and as they all sat and became friends with each other, they knew that
Pryce would be staying for a while, after dinner they sat and watched TV
and as the evening began to wear down Paul and Jerry noticed that Pryce had
nodded off. Mom stood and said good night and headed for her room. Jerry
looked at paul and said I guess he is sleeping with us tonight, Paul said
if you don't mind. Jerry shook his head no and then went over picked Pryce
up and carried him to the bedroom.

Paul was still sitting in the living room. He was thinking that Mike must
have had something to do with them finding Pryce, Mike's cloths fit
perfectly, Paul could not get the picture of Pryce out of his head, Pryce
was about 5 foot 7 inches tall and had sandy brown hair, light complexion,
emerald green eyes he was a little thin but that could be from lack of
food.It looked like he weighed about 135 pounds. Paul also noticed that
Pryce was very proud. Paul rose and headed for the bedroom, when he got
there he noticed that Jerry had undressed Pryce and had laid him in the
middle of the bed, and then had taken his usual spot and that they were
both sound asleep. Paul got undressed and climbed into bed, as he
comfortable, Pryce rolled over and was laying next to him, Paul looked at
him and was just amazed at how beautiful he was, then he felt Pryce's large
organ sticking him in the thigh, He smiled and thought that he was really
feeling at home and very comfortable, Paul nodded off to sleep with a very
good feeling racing though his body, knowing that he truly helped someone
today, and was not looking for any thing in return except friendship.
