Life is Not Always Kind, Chapter 4

As both boys headed for their respective lockers, they were both very
excited thinking of what was ahead of them this evening. They were both
verynervous, excited and they each had the twangs roaming around in their
stomachs. Tanner had been thinking about this evening since he awoke

everything going wrong. He was afraid that when Tanner and he got ready to

Tanner turned after putting his things away looked at Lance and said " I am
very glad you like it." Tanner walked over and put his arm over Lance's
shoulder, Lance was so nervous that he felt his knee's got a little weak
and shivers run up his spine. Tanner took Lance by the shoulders and turned
to face his, He said " I would very much like you to consider this our
room, what I have I would gladly share with you. Tanner looked into Lance's
eyesand he was surprised to see tears there.

Lance a a very happy look on his face while his tears ran down his cheeks,
He opened his mouth to say something but nothing came out. Tanner lookedat
Lance and pulled him into a hug. Tanner just sort of rocked him back and
forth and said " please don't cry. "

Tanner heard his Dad come in and told Lance that he would be right back.

Lance stood there in the middle of Tanner's room and felt like a total
fool. His thoughts were that Tanner must think he is a wimp, or a cry
baby. He had tried to be strong but his sensitivity is a big part of his
life and it just took over today. He tried to put himself together and gain
his composure before Tanner came back.

When tanner came back into the room, Lance smiled and said that he was
sorry for being such a cry baby.

Tanner Smiled and said " you have nothing to be sorry about, you are always
going to be my friend, and I hope that we can grow into being
boyfriends,and that would be up to you. My life will be in your hands.

Lance told Tanner that I am not sure of myself, I am scared that I will
disappoint you. Every fiber of my being wants you and To tell you the truth
I amscared to death.

Tanner took Lance by the arm and pulled him over to the bed, asked him to
sit down and said " Lance lets talk about what ever comes to mind. You can
ask me anything that you want and I will answer you 100% honestly. I want
you to be as comfortable with me as you would be with you closest person in
yourlife. Tanner leaned in to kiss Lance on the cheek, it took Lance by
surprise and he jumped. Tanner said he was sorry and that he should not
have gotten carried away. He told Lance hat that would never happen again.

Lance was feeling so mixed up, on the way to school all he could think of
was being here with Tanner. Now he felt uneasy, scared and afraid to be
here. Lance tried to pull himself together. He took a couple deep breathes
and turned to face Tanner, then he leaned forward and with his eyes closed
prepared to kiss Tanner.

Tanner took him by the shoulders and asked Lance do you really want to kiss
me.

Lance was now so confused he said " I don't know, I do but yet I don't. I
love that I am sure of. I just don't know what to do. He stood up started
to undohis pants. Tanner stopped him. Lance said please let me do this or I
won't know what to do. Tanner let him go. Lance pulled down his pants and
mini briefsand said there this is me, do you still want something like this
along with a boy friend that is a wimp.

Tanner stood up and pulled his pants down along with his underwear and said
this me do you want someone like this knowing that I love you with all my
heart and would never hurt you.

Tanner' Dad called out to the boys that it was time to eat. They both
pulled up their pants and started towards the kitchen. Lance said good
evening to Tanner's Dad and told him that he was grateful for the meal and
allowing him to stay over whit Tanner. Tanner said thanks Dad your the
best. They all sat down and started to eat, carrying on conversations
during the entire meal. When they were finished with dinner Lance said that
he would do the dishes.  Tanner said nothat is my job. Tanner's Dad said
you two get out of here it was my treat so I will do the dishes. Both boys
thanked him and started back down the hall to Tanner's room. they went in
and Tanner closed the door behind him. It was nearly 8:00PM.Tanner asked
lance if he wanted to get on the computer. Lance that he did not care.

Lance asked what time do you go to bed.

Tanner replied that he goes to bed when ever he gets tired. Then aid that
when he goes to bed that he generally sleeps naked.

Lance's eyes got very big and he just stood there staring at Tanner. Then
with all the strength he could muster he said " do you want me to sleep
naked aswell" with a very nervous and crackling voice.

Tanner swung the chair around smiled and said that is entirely up to you.
This is your night we will do what ever you want or we won't do whatever
youdon't want to.

Lance said that he was really very tired and that if Tanner did not mind
that he would like to go to bed. Tanner said sure. He turned of the
computer and stood up pushed the chair in and walked over to the bed.

Tanner asked Lance if he would be more comfortable if he slept on the floor
or perhaps in another room.

Lance turned and looked at Tanner and had such a hurt look on his face that
it hurt Tanner for saying what he had.

Tanner apologized and said that he should not have said that.

Lance smiled and said after what has happened today and the way I have been
since we got here I don't blame you in the least. Again Lance smiled
andsaid well if I have to sleep with someone there is no one else I would
rather sleep with than you. Lance took off all his cloths and climbed into
bed.

Tanner stood there for a moment smiling at Lance and said that's why I love
you. Tanner got undressed and got into bed. he slid over next to Lance
andasked are you OK with this.

Lance replied yeah I am.

Tanner snuggled up next to Lance and he could feel him shaking, he asked if
Lance was cold.

Lance replied I am cold and very nervous as well

Tanner held Lance close to him and he could feel Lance start to calm down
and then said are you better now? Lance are you better now?

Lance had fallen asleep snuggled close to Tanner. He was very softly, what
Tanner thought was like a dove cooing.

Tanner laid there and held Lance as he slept. several minutes later Lance
rolled over and draped his arm over Tanner. Tanner was a little
disappointed but in reality he felt like a million bucks. He did not have
sex with Lance but he learned some very valuable things about Lance. Those
are things thathe will never forget and will always be able to understand
the most important boy in his if. He could feel Lance's semi erect penis

Lance felt safe enough that he would be that comfortable. Tanner lightly
