Life guarding in the summer: Chapter one: New Job

People this is my second attempt at writing a story on Nifty. My first one
was My Creek. I have been thinking a lot about this story and I finally got
it from my head to the computer so here it goes bye bye...  Chapter one-
New job

Yep, that's the perks when you have braces and have to be at work at 10:30
in the morning in the summer. I'm in my orthodontist's office at 8:00 in
the morning; one of my wires was loose. What's the point in this any ways?
My teeth haven't made any progress, and sometimes when I swim my teeth
tingle, but in a bad way, not like when u get that tingle in your
pants...oops getting side tracked. Wow, they have this really hot student
assistant at my ortho's office, I've eyed him a couple of times. He just
smiled at me.... I wonder if he knows that I like him...or that I have a
boyfriend. Damn I forgot about my boyfriend. If I was single trust me he
would be over my house every day!  " Jay your next" I heard the assistant
in the front say. I sighed and shrugged my shoulders and walked to the
seat.

" Hi, my name is Chris" I heard a voice I didn't recognize say. I looked
over and there was that cute student assistant.

" Uh, hey" I replied, not sure of what to say.

"I'll be working on ya today" he said... yes u would be working on me
today...wait Jay you have a boyfriend remember Todd?

" That's going to be fun" I replied. Well since that cute assistant is
working on me now we be a good time to introduce myself. My name is Jay
Rosedell, I'm 15. And we wont go into details on how I look, just know that
I was voted hottest freshman in high school. My boyfriend (who I've been
with for a year now) is going to be a senior and he's 17, his name is
Todd. He was also voted best-looking junior in high school. We're out to
people and it can be really hard. Kinda like I am right now staring at the
assistant's crotch.

" Okay you're done," he said. I hopped up and make a quick exit before
anyone saw my boner. Then he came rushing out of the office.

" You forgot to schedule your next appointment" He handed me a piece of
paper. I looked at it and it said Chris 234-7809.... Holy jeebes he gave me
his number, but I have a boyfriend.... I'll just keep it for later incase
something happens. I put the number in my glove box and proceed to go to my
summer job as a lifeguard.

" Hey hottie" I heard Todd say while he flashed me his million dollar
smile. I smiled back to him and replied with a nod. He just shrugged his
shoulders and went to his post. Since Todd drew number 1 he had to go to
his post first, numbers 1-4 went first I lucked out and got number 5. I was
standing by Todd's post when I felt a piece of paper on my shoulder and it
read:

Hey, Jay
   Is something wrong?
                       -Todd

... I just looked up at him and shook my head no. The head life guard
Bonnie called the adult swim which meant that I had to go up next, so I got
my towel and sunglasses and took Todd's place while he went to post number
2. The pool opens at 12:00, and each post is 30 minutes long so I'll be up
here until 2:00, but then I'll have to work the concession stand. Man this
job gets a little boring sometimes. I was just sitting there up on the
stand letting the sun dry me out like a 87 year old woman, when I heard
screams. I looked into the water and there was a 4 -year-old boy that fell
into the deep end. I blew my whistle to signal the head lifeguard. And then
dived into the water. I dived down into the water and searched for the
little boy. I felt his hand and grabbed him by the stomach and pulled him
up to the surface. I laid him down on the ground and felt his pulse. His
pulse and heart was okay, he wasn't breathing do I gave him CPR. By this
time the police and firemen where here so I stepped out of the way and let
them do their job. Todd rushed over and I wrapped my arms around him and
kissed him. The reason that I wanted to become a lifeguard is because when
I was younger maybe 10 or 11, my best friend Josh died drowning, so I told
myself that I would become a lifeguard and never let anyone drown ever. The
day had ended and I finished my chore at the pool and Todd and I left for
home.

" You coming over?'' I asked him

" Yea, you know it" he responded.

Tonight was my night to lock up so I waited until everyone left. Todd and I
where heading out to my car when these guys with bats came over to us
yelling what I thought was Fag. I grabbed Todd's hand and he looked in my
eyes. And then everything went black...
