Subject: Life's Expectations - Ch. 10

Lets get this over with now: I own "Life's Expectations" and every
character in the story. There are some events that have actually happened
to me, but all the characters are fictional. If it is illegal for you to to
view this in your location, then GTFO. You're probably gonna ignore that so
have fun. Boy on boy happens in this story so if your not a fan of that,
what are you doing here? Donate to Nifty, cause they give you awesome
stories and you love them for it. So go to

I will finally address the character that I have been waiting to
write about for so long: Issac Adams. As I mentioned last chapter I'm gonna
be going back a bit, like to the afternoon of the first day of school. You
know the one with only homeroom, where he met Nick and Tanis. I'm gonna be
moving forward to the current date and covering Issac all the way.

But lets see whats happened with the others so far. Gage has gotten
Sam out to his family, and Sam's mom. They know they like each other but
have made nothing official. Nick has been getting to know people in his
classes. He's met 2 new kids and Tanis that are all possible matches for
him. Annie, Lucas and Tanis are who I am talking about here. He also met
Issac but as I said in beginning the main characters will not be having a
relationship with each other that is long lasting, so Issac, Nick, Gage and
Zach. On to Zach! Zach has been found out by Gage's mom on the first day of
school and later on he told Sam and Gage. A few days after that he asked
out Shane and he accepted. After the date Shane had some kind of nightmare
and spent the night in Zach's bed.

Anyways I will get on with Issac's story now. To chapter 10 of
Lie's Expectations! - Issac Adams

Issac's POV - The afternoon of the first day of school

Why was that kid so nice? I mean ya me and him are in the same
'outcast' group but that doesn't explain anything. He asked to sit by me
and then when he heard my name just decided to stay and talk.

I love walking home, wow that was a different train of thought. My
mom and dad give me money for the bus home but I like walking, it gives me
time to think to my self. Plus I get home just as fast and I get some
exercise in.

I wonder what Nick thinks of his reputation as the 'gay boy'. I
mean I hate being called emo cause I don't cut myself. I just have scars on
my arms that I don't like showing. Okay that sounds like I cut
myself... They aren't from cutting.

It happened when I was younger and I kinda grew attached to the
whole hiding them thing. I have almost as much matching bandanas as
socks... I loose a lot of my socks. I got new ones though with my new
cloths I got for school. Wow how do I get this off track?

I got home at about 1pm with no one else home. We got out of school
at like 11ish since it was only a half day. My sister must be out with her
friends. I get the house to my self yes!

My dad works at the local plant and my mom works at the bank. We
are pretty well off for money... you know if dad didn't go drinking every
weekend and mom didn't smoke pot. She tries to hide it, it's quite
amusing. So we live in the trailer court at like the edge of town
almost. Its not even the good side, it's th side close to an echoy bridge.

Me and my sister have to share a room too it really sucks. We
didn't when we lived off the coast of this town, we had a big house. I had
my own room and a queen size bed that I remember at one point I couldn't
get up onto. So cause we share a room, we get into fights a lot. Usually
about how I never get into trouble and how 'perfect' I am.

Jennifer, my sister, always gets into trouble. She drinks every
other weekend and does drugs. Then there's me, I sit on my bed with my
music plugged in and my sketch pad out and I just draw. Sometimes she gets
mad at me cause I'm to zoned out to notice her bitching at me.

Then there's the difference in school that helps my 'perfect'
reputation with my parents. Jennifer barely passes her courses and I get
90s and I don't even try. She always claims that I cheat and stuff but I
just remember stuff really good.

So I spent my afternoon listening to music and drawing. I decided I
wanted to draw a dragon so I put on Dragonforce. Just for inspiration and
stuff. By the time I was just finishing the final details I heard the door
open and my mom call out, "Issac, you should turn your music down." Which I
did as fast as I could.

	"Sorry mom."

My mom then came in to my room and looked around, "Where's your
sister?" I shrugged, "Okay, how was your first day of school?"

"It was... normal for the most part."

"If you took off the bandana's they wouldn't make fun of you." She
was right. She tried a few years back to stop my bullying several times
each time just making things worse. So she came to the conclusion to try to
get me to take them off. "What was the not so normal part?"

	"I met someone in homeroom..."

"A new friend? What's their name?" My mom is really good at being
gender unspecific, if that's a thing.

"His name is Nick Bells. One of the English teacher's sons."

"Mrs. Bells nice lady, her husband is a lawyer. How is their son?"

	"He's nice and stuff..."

"But you don't want to get to close to fast, I get it." I just
smiled, "I'm going to have a little rest and then I'll be starting
dinner. We're having spaghetti tonight."

"Sounds yummy, after dinner I can go to the youth center right?"

"Eat like you always do and don't get into a fight with your sister
and yes you can." That second one is harder than it sounds.

Anyways the local Youth Center is like a 5 minute walk from home so
I go there almost every night. They have a sound proof room that no one
really uses for anything so I use it to draw. Not to mention listen to
music as load as I want.

Sadly just as dinner started Jennifer stormed in and looked
directly at me, "The hell! Why'd you tell mom where I was!?"

"All I said was that you weren't home."

"Sure you little liar!" She stormed off to our room and slammed the
door.

I didn't just get into a fight with my sister right? Please say I
didn't, "That doesn't count as a fight right?"

"No it doesn't, you did nothing wrong." Okay that's good.

After dinner I went into the 'danger zone' that is my bedroom and
grabbed my sketch book and was on my way. The Youth Center is open for kids
13 - 18 almost every day of the week. There's usually about 10 - 20 people
there, only a couple of the actually bug me.

By the time I got there they still weren't open. I mean it was like
ten to six. So I just sat down in front of the doors and finished off my
dragon. It only took 5 minutes for me to finish my dragon and for Cheryl's
car to pull up. Cheryl is the one who works at the youth center.

She comes out of her car and waves, "I didn't expect to see you
here yet, Issac."

"Jenni got mad at me for some reason."

	"Some reason?"

"I told mom she wasn't home. She presumed I told mom where she
was. I didn't even know."

"If you did nothing wrong there's nothing to feel bad about. Now
what are you drawing?"

"I was drawing a dragon, but now I'm done. Here have a look!" I
showed her my dragon. It was just a dragon sitting on a mountain top but it
looked really proud of it self.

"It's great, you did a good job." And with that she unlocked the
door and let me in. She did her opening routine and then let me into the
sound proof room. They have to lock it every night so its always
locked. With that I started my drawings all over again in the sound of my
music.

Issac POV – After the Tech meeting

After bugging me for almost a week Nick got me to go to the tech
meeting. It was kinda cool being above everything and looking down. I just
don't look forward to siting up there focusing lights.

Nick got me there my making much better arguments than me. He was
saying, "It's one Tuesday, if you don't like it you don't need to come
back." and "You like music, you could see live music being preformed!" So
here I am sitting in Socials drawing thinking about tech club.

The worst part is that none of my, I guess friends now, are in this
class. Anthony and Nick are in Science and Tanis is in French so I'm all by
myself in here so I draw a lot after I'm done my work. I have 5 minutes
till the class is over so.

From behind me all I hear is, "Look at that the emo kid is
drawing."

	"I bet it's something depressing."

	"What else would he draw?"

"A dragon!" Wow I actually said that.

"Issac is something the matter?" It came from our teacher,
Mrs. Holmes. I have actually never spoke in her class other than saying
'here'.

	"No ma'am."

	"Then why the sudden burst?"

	"I don't know ma'am. I just though out load for a second."

"What were you thinking about Issac?" At this point basically the
entire class was looking at me. Great now I'll be that kid that thinks out
load.

"The last picture I drew, I was thinking about when I showed it off
the first time."

	"May I see the picture?"

"Yes ma'am." I have been taught to always say yes to adults unless
I was unable to preform their request at the time. So I got up and opened
my sketch book to the picture of my dragon.

She looked at it for a few seconds and then looked at me, "It looks
great Issac. May I show it to the class?"

I am super used to having my stuff shown to the class. Since I'm
ubber smart and all. Okay ubber is not a word a smart guy should use but I
did. Can't take it back now.

So Mrs. Holmes showed it to the class. Almost everyone 'aww'ed at
it. Even the guys who were talking about me did. It was one of my proud
moments. And then Mrs. Holmes looks at me and smiles. She wasn't seen by
the rest of the class when she did that.

Then she turns around and looks almost directly at the boys, "It
looks quite proud of its self, doesn't it?" The class did their typical
'yes' in unison and then she handed me back my book. "Next time try not to
think out load. Either keep it quiet or tell someone later okay?"

I know exactly what she was talking about. I just nodded and walked
back to my seat. Lets just say I didn't hear the guys speak for the last
two minutes of class.

When the bell went I was out like a bullet. I wanted to see Nick
and Anthony. Tell them about what happened... But I'm being careful this
time. I can't just tell them stuff, then it'll look like I'm acting to
friendly.

So my mind was super confused by the time I got to English. Nick
and Tanis were already in their seats. Not surprisingly it was Nick to
speak up first and not Tanis, "Dude, what are you doing on Saturday?"

	"I don't know, why?"

"Annie is having my birthday and he's inviting you!"

	"Oh, thanks?"

"And if you want you can come over after school and see exactly
what we're doing."

"He doesn't know what he's doing for his birthday?"

"Well his dad hasn't gotten a for sure on any of the places in town
and stuff. So today his dad said he'll be showing Annie what his party will
be." How do you not know what your party is when its less than a week away?

"And your inviting me to come and see it too?"

"Annie asked me to ask you. Tanis and me are going right?"

	"Yep!"

At least I'm not lying when I say I have something to do. Grandma
is having a family dinner so, "I can't today, I have something to do. Maybe
another time."

"Oh, okay. Ya for sure another time!" It's nice to know that I have
these guys as friends. They don't really mind when I say I can't go
somewhere.

English went the norm, boring and stupid. As soon as the bell went
Nick and Tanis raced off to find Anthony and said bye to me. I had
basically all my stuff that I needed so I just walked over to my grandma's.

Grandma is awesome, I basically walk in and get sweets thrown at my
face. She's definitely my favorite grandma!

	Issac's POV Monday

"Honey it's time to get up for school." My mom wakes me up every
morning shut up!

So I got up and got into my shower like I always do. When I got out
Jennifer was up and out of the room like usual so I got to put on cloths in
piece. I decided to go with jeans, a blue and white shirt, my torn off
sleeves hoodie and a white bandana and a blue one. To match my shirt, I'm
not totally out of the fashion loop.

It was a normal morning of watch the news with my mom. I'm not a
huge fan of the news but I don't get to control what's on the tv in the
morning. Same old boring stuff, fire here, robbery there, this guy died,
and here's the weather!

Sooner than later it was time to go catch the bus. SO I grabbed my
backpack, which is one of those goes over the shoulder ones, and headed out
the door. Me and Jennifer walked to our separate cause 'she has an image to
keep'. It's pretty bad when your sister doesn't want to be seen with you.

Shane was on the bus when I got on. I don't know him really but I
heard he went out on a date with Zach, the new kid. I sat down on the seats
right behind Shane. I had my head phones in but I was fixated on Shane.

That was all ruined when Jake got on the bus. He's been nothing but
trouble since I heard of his incident with Nick and Sam in gym. He looked
directly at me then directly at Shane. "Hey fagot, the little emo is
staring at you!"

Shane immediately turned around and saw that I was indeed staring
at him. I blushed and looked down at the ground. "Nice to know asshole!"
Was that Shane!?

I think so cause he moved and sat beside me. I don't normally blush
but I don't think I can stop right now. "Sorry for staring at you."

"Oh, that's okay. It happens a lot when you be yourself." I looked
at him and he was smiling. "When your really load and gay lots of people
stare at me."

	"Oh, I see..."

"So why were you staring?" He gets right to the point doesn't he.

"I heard that you went on a date with the new kid, Zach. I don't
really know why I was staring, sorry"

"There's nothing to be sorry for. And yes I did go on a date with
Zach." How can someone be so out there with who he is when it's something
that stereotypes them in a bad way? "Do you know what it means to be gay?"

"Umm no, not really." Where the fuck did that come from? "I've
always thought about it as a boy liking boys like how he would normally
like girls."

"That's basically it." Okay so still why are we on this subject,
"What do you think about gay people?"

"Live and let live. Just don't hit on me."

"Fair enough. Your friends with Nick Bells right?" Okay is it just
me or does this guy just think about way to much stuff?

"Ya, I met him on the first day of school."

"Do you hang out with Lucas much?"

	"Little bit, why?"

"I really need to have a talk with him. I was wondering if you
could help me with that."

	"Why should I help you?"

"No reason, I was just wondering if you would."

"I'll see what I can do. It might be easier if you just walk up to
him and ask to talk."

"After what happened between us, I don't think that'll go over
well." Oh ya, they were the two to have a fall out in the middle of the
lunch room last year. Jennifer told me about it.

"If I ever get the chance I'll see what he thinks about the whole
subject. I'll get back to you as soon as I get the answer."

	"Thanks dude."

That was basically the whole bus ride cause we arrived at the
school soon after the conversation ended. I got off the bus and my sister
was standing there just looking at me.

Me and my sis never have gotten along since we got the same room as
one another. We always fight when we are home together. I think the only
time we ever get along is when we have something to gain from the other. So
her standing there waiting for me is weird.

	"Come her weirdo, Lets go."

"I don't need you to walk me to the school, It's 40 feet away."

"Oh yes you do," She points to a stray dog that people were
patting. I immediately run to the other side of my sister and stare at the
dog. "Told you."

Just then Shane hopped off the bus and looked at me, "What's us
Issac?"

All I could do is stare at the dog. So happy it's getting all those
pats from everyone. No one knows if its mean or aggressive. They just pat
it cause they don't know better.

My sister roled her eyes, I think..."He's afraid of dogs and
there's one within ten feet of him right now."

"Oh, well I'll take him in for you." That caught my attention.

	"Thank you... bye loser."

That left me scrambling for something to hide behind. I just looked
back and forth looking then someone grabbed my shoulder. I looked right at
them frightened. "It's okay I'm right here okay?"

Shane didn't let go of me till we got to drama wing and he saw
Lucas. He apologized and said he had to go to his locker. I said thank you
and went on my way.

Now I gotta make it up to Shane. I gotta get him and Lucas to have
a talk... Why am I helping other people out when I have my own
problems. Although my problem is a little bigger than just talking to
someone. It's getting every bully in the school off my back.

Hey, maybe if I talk to Nick about my rumor he'll talk to me about
his. I don't wanna seem like an ass all the time. The next time he asks me
to do something I'm gonna say yes. No matter if it's just me and him or
not.

	Chapter 10 end

So that went a little faster than I thought it would. I guess all
that thinking about Issac paid off. Even if most of this chapter was made
up as I went. Like the Shane deal... that was entirely on the spot.

Right now I'm using Issac as a catalysis to progress the
sub-plots. So starting with Shane and Lucas and going on word! So if you
have any suggestions on what should happen or anything really, just email
me at kuragari129@hotmail.com.

	Thanks for reading!
