Subject: Life's Exectations - Ch.11

	Lets get this over with now: I own "Life's Expectations" and every
character in the story. There are some events that have actually happened
to me, but all the characters are fictional. If it is illegal for you to to
view this in your location, then GTFO. You're probably gonna ignore that so
have fun. Boy on boy happens in this story so if your not a fan of that,

	So There is Issac's chapter! I'm happy with it for the most
part. There's a few things that I thought of after but I couldn't fit
in. Oh well more material for later.

	This chapter will show more of Issac getting more friendly with
Nick and co. As I said last chapter Issac's role right now is to push the
plot of the other three stories. Since he's 'straight' right now. His story
will be realizing he's gay... or bi... haven't decided yet.

	So the gays of the story are Zach, Shane, and Nick. The guys who
are bi are Gage and Sam. Lucas and Annie are bi-curious. And straight are
Issac, Tanis, Kyle, Chester, Matt, Gabe and Jake. I felt like saying
that... Don't know why.

	This chapter will be more centered around Issac trying to talk to
Lucas about Shane wanting to have a chat. Oh and you didn't miss Shane
realizing he needed to cause I didn't write that. So onwards with the
story!

	Chapter 11 – True friendship


	Gage's POV

	Note to self: Sleeping over on a school night, still a bad
idea. I've always been able to sleep over at Sam's on a school night but
that doesn't mean its always been a good idea. Sam fell asleep during the
movie but I didn't fall asleep till like half an hour after it. I kept
trying to get a blanket... Sam is a heavy guy okay.

	Okay maybe he's not that heavy but we were up at like 6:30 and just
started talking. Mostly about random stuff like normal friends do. We
didn't get into anything to serious. The farthest we got was to talking
about the projects we already have, his French and my English class
projects.

	Now we're walking down the hallways heading to my locker. I saw
Shane walking Issac down the hall. Issac had a scared look on his
face. Can't help but wonder whats up with that. Hope the kid is okay.

	So when I finally got to my locker I grabbed my English books to
turn around to a Shane about to tap my shoulder. "Oh hey Shane."

	"Hey Gage, hey Sam." Sam supplied a simple wave. "So your brother
is hanging out with Lucas now, huh?"

	"Appears that way."

	"I was just wondering if you guys could help me out."

	"Sure whats up?"

	"I've been thinking and I should really talk to Lucas about what
happened last year."

	"Did Zach have anything to do with this?"

	"He didn't say anything but I thought I should try and mend stuff
with Lucas to impress him." Awww Shane has a little bit more than a crush
on Zach. "I've already asked Issac if he could help out and he could
probably help out or something."

	"Is that why you were walking with Issac this morning?"

	"Actually he apparently has a phobia of dogs. I didn't ask why or
anything but he just walked him to his friends." Then he saw Lucas and
walked away, more than likely.

	Shane has always had a thing to avoid serious talks. I don't really
know why but when ever I try and have a serious conversation he's always
steered it in another direction. I think I've only had a serious
conversation when he started it.

	"Okay I'll have a talk with my brother and see what we can do."

	"Thanks Gage, I'll talk to you later." Shane went on his way to
start his day.

	I just looked at Sam, "You got your French stuff right?" He nodded,
"Okay lets go find my brother!"


	Issac's POV

	So thanks to Shane crisis avoided. I'd rather not talk about why
that happened. I'll probably have to explain it to Shane eventually but not
now so I'm glad.

	When I got to my locker Nick, Tanis, Anthony and Lucas were deep in
conversation and didn't even notice me, typical. "Dude I so can't wait for
Borderlands to come out it, looks so good!" Of course Nick was
shouting... when wasn't Nick shouting?

	"It looks okay, I'm not sure about great." And then there's Anthony
saying that Nick is over exaggerating in some way.

	"A loot based FSPRPG sounds awesome! It'll be a lot like Fallout!"

	"Plus there's characters you get to choose from which makes it even
better!" Tanis agreeing with Nick cause they are like twins.

	And lastly Lucas acting mature and settling the argument, "You guys
wont know until it comes out next month. So be patient and wait for it to
come out."

	Then I cue in a grunt and Nick apologizes, "Oh I'm sorry Issac, you
always walk up so quiet while we're talking."

	Then my sly remark, "More like yelling at one another." and then
Nick smiles and gives me a playful punch.

	"That just shows that we're friends." Yep, my mornings have been
rather predictable since school started.

	Just as I was slightly happy my morning was going on the right
track Jake shows up, "Hey faggots, gaying up the place I see." It's not
enough to rat me out on the bus you gotta come and bug us at our lockers?

	"What do you want Jake?"

	"I felt like warning you about gym class today."

	"Warning me, about what?"

	"We're playing dodge ball apparently and your head is my target."

	"Oh..." Wow how can someone be such a dick because of someone's
possible sexual orientation. I don't even know or care if Nick is gay but
seriously.

	So I decided to do something about it. "Fuck off, Jake."

	Everyone in the hallway stopped and looked at me. Then to Jake,
Nick though didn't stop. Jake pushed past him and looked at me right in the
eyes. He's a little taller than me so he was kinda succeeding in being
intimidating.

	He just stared for a few seconds, "What was that emo brat?"

	"F-U-C-K O-F-F, in case you can't spell it says fuck off!"

	"And who are you to tell me to fuck off?"

	"I am Nick's friend and your being an asshole. Not only that but
you called me out on the bus today so I felt like telling you to fuck off."
Seriously had enough of hearing how Jake was trying to hurt Nick in
gym. Almost every day after gym class Nick gave his report on what almost
hit him and what did. "So leave me and my friends alone or your gonna have
a problem!"

	"What's that problem gonna be, a couple of faggots and an emo kid
trying to beat me up? I got my own friends to kid, don't forget that!"

	I had to push him off me, he was in my face so much that I lost my
personal space. I swear my nose was in biting range. He stumbled back at
just stared at me angry. "Get out of my face Jake. Seriously your breath is
as bad as your attitude."

	"Why you little fucker!"

	Jake went to throw a punch and Mr. Knotts grabbed his shoulder. He
flipped and almost punched Mr. Knotts and realized who it was before
finishing, Damn.

	"Jake, what's going on here?"

	"Issac was being an asshole!"

	Now Mr. Knotts is like twice our height since we are grade 8s so
compared to Jake he's super intimidating. Jake's face was white as snow
when he completely realized who it was that stopped him. I don't think I've
seen anyone so scared in my life.

	"Jake that is no way to talk to a fellow student."

	"Nick, he... he..."

	"If you can't tell me without thinking about it I can't and wont
believe you. Now all six of you are going to the office to explain what
happened." We all nodded and fallowed closely behind.

	It only took like half a minute to get to the office. The hallways
were rather empty and the people who were in the way quickly moved out of
the way. As we entered the office Sam and his mom were talking to one of
the secretaries. Sam saw us first and poked his mom's side.

	When she turned around she was stunned, "Mr. Knotts what's going on
here?"

	"I found Issac and Jake having a bit of an argument in the hallway
just now. The rest are just witnesses." This didn't seam to calm
Mrs. Little down at all. She seamed to accept that she could do nothing for
us though.

	Mr. Knotts knocked on the door of the principal's office and after
a moment all 7 of us were in the room. The principal was shocked to see so
many kids in his office. She, as in the principal took out a clipboard and
took some notes before looking up at Mr. Knotts.

	"What can I do for you this morning Mr. Knotts?" She seamed nice,
but of course I just started a fight in the middle of the hallway. She may
not be nice to trouble makers.

	"I heard, who I believe to be Issac here, spelling out the 'f' word
to, who I believe received it, Jake here. Other than that all I can say is
that Issac pushed Jake and then Jake went in for a punch before I stopped
him." Wow no pronouns... I guess that makes room for no mistakes. "The rest
were with them during this time and I brought them here at witnesses."

	"Is that true Issac, you threw the first 'punch', per-say" She was
still acting really nice... wow I can only expect a harsh punishment.

	"Yes ma'am."

	"Thank you Mr. Knotts for bringing them in. I will need all of your
names, first and last and will call you back here later in the day. Issac
and Jake are to stay here until I say you can go." The guys gave her their
names and went on their way leaving me and Jake in the office by our selfs
to face the principle . "Now I'm going to ask Jake to sit out side while I
have a talk with Mr. Adams here."

	Jake then left the room with a grunt if a, "Whatever."

	I have always been taught to look people in the eye when talking to
them but this principal, in my eyes, is unpredictable. I really don't know
what's going to happen. "Now Issac you can have a seat and explain your
self."

	So I told the principal about everything that has been going
on. From Jake and Nick incident in gym class on the first day, all the way
up to what in the hallway. I told her that I just kinda let my anger out
cause I was done with Jake's actions and just needed to release the energy.

	You think saying 'sorry' 40 000 times helped my case. I really
didn't want to push him. He was in my face and I wasn't gonna back up and
give him my space.

	So I finished with, "I truly am sorry, and willing to take any
punishment you want to give me."

	"Well Issac, that was quite a story. Just give me a moment." She
went into a filing cabinet and pulled out a small file. She opened it up
and found what ever she was looking for. "The names match up to your story
about the gym class part. I keep all reports made by teachers on
record. It's easier to catch lairs this way. Now you are aware that what
you did was wrong and I believe that you know this and will try to not to
preform them again. You may go to class I will call you back later for your
punishment. Get one of the secretaries to write you a note for your class."

	"Yes ma'am, thank you." Okay that went better than I thought.

	"Two more things." Dammit, "Your actions will not be going
unpunished, you will have some kind of action used against you. I can't see
it being suspension if your story checks out. Secondly, you are not to say
a word to Jake while you are walking out. Do I make myself clear?"

	"As day." She smiled and waved me out of the room. As promised I
made no attempt to communicate with Jake. He tried to talk to me but I
completely ignored him and then one of the secretaries told him to be
quiet.

	Then I went on my way to C.A.P.P. Class. For you who don't know,
Career and personal planing... I don't get why we have to do it now
though. There's basically the same course in grade 10 that's mandatory to
take.

	When I got there I handed the note to the teacher and sat down
beside Tanis who already had a piece of paper out saying 'What's happening
with you??'

	Me – I just told her whats been happening and I got sent to
class. She said shes gonna call me back later to tell me my punishment

	Tanis – for what?

	Me – Starting a fight on school grounds. I did push him
first-party

	Tanis – fair enough. Hope its not to rough for you

	Me – thanks

	I do too Tanis, I do too.


	Nick's POV

	Just as we leave the office I can see Sam and Gage waiting for
us. HE wasted no time at all to come up to all serious face. "What the
hell? I went to the bathroom for like 3 minutes and then I hear from Sam
you went into the principal's office! What happened?"

	"Jake again. I was only brought as a 'witness' according to
Mr. Knotts. I bet I'm gonna be going back as more than a witness later."

	"What do you mean?"

	"I mean that what happened revolved around me!" God my brother has
his overly protected moments. It's bad enough with Clair being here, to add
Gage to the equation is just disaster.

	"Spill everything!"

	"You remember what Clair said about Law class? She said to not talk
about it with anyone till the whole thing is over. That's what I'm gonna
do." Everyone just looked at me and nodded.

	"They just teamed up didn't they?"

	"I'd say so." Sam just smiled and grabbed Gage's shoulder. "Come on
everyone is waiting." Gage let out a sigh and gave me a look that we were
not done this conversation.

	Then I heard I manly chuckle coming from behind me. Oh ya,
Mr. Knotts is here... "Well I'm going back to my classroom, I'll see you
around boys."

	We all just look at each other. None of us really know what to
say... I mean what is there to say. Issac got in trouble protecting me. Not
only that but he called me his friend... HE CALLED ME HIS FRIEND!!! OMG he
actually willingly called me his friend.

	Then Lucas interrupted my thoughts, "There's only about ten minutes
till classes start and I haven't been to my locker yet, I gotta go."

	"I'll go with you, my class is down that way anyways." Tanis and
Lucas went on their way leaving me and Annie by our selves.

	We waited around in view of the office. Our Sewing class is like
right beside the office so it wasn't that hard. When the warning bell went
Mrs. Little opened up her classroom. Wow that sounds weird to say. It's
usually Auntie Mary.

	As we walk in, the entire class is looking at us like some kind of
super star. No one said a word. Auntie Mary broke the silence though, "Okay
boys, have a seat and I'll start taking attendance."

	The entire block I couldn't get Issac out of my head. Did he get
suspended? What exactly did he tell the principal? What would I tell the
principal. Near the the of class She called Annie to the office. Annie was
the first one to give his name. She might be doing it in order.

	That would mean that Issac has been talked to, right? Does that
mean he's in class or does that mean he's in some kind of special room for
people who get in trouble.

	It really didn't help that Annie hadn't come back when Recess
began. More so, that Tanis was called to the office minutes after recess
started. So I wont get a report from him about Issac.

	Issac always goes to his class after recess right away. He says
it's where he makes sure he's gotten all of last day's homework done. The
bad part of that is that he has Math 9 in the same hallway as his
C.A.P.P. class and I have gym. So I have to go to my locker and pick up my
strip and then go to the class.

	At least there's no Jake today it seams. I was looking around the
gym and didn't see him at all. I might see him when I go to the office. I
was the next person to give my name, so I'm next? Even having Sam there
wasn't comforting.

	Gym started, still no sign of Tanis or Jake and we started our warm
up. Just as we finished Tanis came into the gym with a two notes in
hand. He walked right to Mr. James, handed him the two notes and then sent
Tanis to get changed.

	The next thing I hear is, "Nick Bells!" From Mr. James.

	I jogged over to him, "Yes Mr. James?"

	"The principal wants you in her office pronto. She has also said
she's not sure how long you'll be so you should probably get changed."

	It was only about 20 minutes into our just over an hour class. So I
decided to just take my stuff and go to the office. When I got there I
looked around, no Jake. I walked up to one of the secretary and she looked
up, "Nicolas Bells?"

	"Yes ma'am."

	"Go right in." Oh great that's a bad sign right? Or is it good? My
nerves are shot right now, I don't know.

	So I opened the door and walked in to her office. When I came in
she was busy with some paperwork so I just shut the door and sat down on
one of her chairs facing her. I started twiddling my thumbs around.

	"You're Nicolas Bells?"

	"I prefer Nick, ma'am and yes."

	"Okay Nick. Your brother and sister I am very well acquainted with,
and not in a bad way, but you not so much. Your mother has worked here for
several years but I have yet to get a conversation with you." Nice like
before, for now? "Now I am aware of the incident that happened in your gym
class on the first day of classes. Issac, Anthony and Tanis have also said
something along the same lines. Now I don't need to know if the accusations
are true or false, I just need to know whats happening."

	"Well the accusations started when Gage came out last
year. Everyone started making fun of me for having a gay brother. When I
tried to defend myself and him they started calling me gay. Jake went to my
old school and never really stopped.

	"Me and Jake used to be acquaintances, cause Auntie Mary's,
Mrs. Little's, youngest son and him a good friends. So I would hang out
with them some times. Jake wasn't the first one but wasn't one who just
joined in on the fun either.

	"Anyways this morning Jake was saying how he was gonna throw dodge
balls at my head in gym today. Which is why I'm in different cloths," That
was probably dumb to say, "Then Issac spoke up and they got into a fight,
kinda."

	"Has Jake done any other anti gay actions towards you?"

	"A couple but mostly just the sly comment or 'coughing'." I
actually used air quotes for that.

	"Well, I understand Issac was standing up for his friend. I also
know that he is sorry about starting physical violence on school
grounds. Although I can't let him go unpunished for his actions. Do you
know what class Issac has right now?"

	"Math with Mr. Green."

	"Grade 9 Math already... Wait here I'll be back in a few minutes."

	This is bad... very very bad. Issac is gonna get suspended because
of me. He's gonna get called in here and he's gonna get in so much trouble
that he'll never forgive me!!

	I don't think I can't stop freaking out. There's so many bad spots
my mind is going to! HELP!!

	And just as I was reaching the climax of my freakout, Issac walks
into the room with a smile on his face. He just looks at me and giggles a
bit, "Whats wrong with you?"

	"Your gonna get into trouble and it's all my fault!"

	"Nick calm down. I'm just gonna have Saturday school this weekend."

	"I'm not gonna calm down till I know, you have Saturday school this
weekend?" Wow I can't believe I actually did that. Went from being totally
out of order to being okay with everything.

	"Ya and next. Knowing my mom and dad I'll be grounded till next
Saturday after the school day is done." Now I feel bad again. "But then
I'll explain why I did it and they'll b just like the principle. Still not
okay with my actions but understand why I did them. I'll be fine."

	"If you say so." And as if on cue the principal walks in.

	"Okay boys, here's why I have you here. I've already given Issac
his punishment and Jake has been suspended for having the intent of
fighting on school grounds and multiple reports of anti-gay behavior." Wow
that was quick... Maybe I should go to the office more often. Oh wait after
he comes back it's gonna get worse. Dumb me I forgot! "Nick, I request you
report to the teacher of your class when or if anything like this happens
again."

	Like hell... didn't I just explain why? "Yes ma'am"

	"But the real reason that I have you two here is that the school
has been thinking of starting a gay straight alliance and I was wondering
if you two could help in anyway." Me and Issac just look at each
other... no words just silence. "I'm aware of what kind of image you get
from it so I thought I would ask."

	"Gage would be all over that!" Yes that was my opening
thought. "Clair might be too cause she did a lot of defending him last
year. For me though... I don't know..."

	"Nick," Surprisingly it was Issac who started talking, "I've only
known you for 2 weeks, give or take, so this may not mean much. You really
don't care what people think of you except for when they mention your
rumor. Then you go all quiet and just kinda take what ever they say. That
is one reason why I did what I did today, so you can repay me by at least
thinking about joining it once it's made up."

	"Okay, just let me think it over and I'll give you my answer,
okay?"

	"Of course, I don't expect you to give me answer now. Just stop by
whenever you have your answer okay?" I nodded, "Do you have an answer for
me Issac?"

	"1000 percent yes!"

	So now Issac is helping out with the start up of the GSA of our
school. I don't know if I want to. I mean I could go with that I'm just
supporting my brother... But I have my rumor looming about my head. Should
I pretty much out myself in grade eight? Not even a month into the school
year no less?


	END

	So I know I didn't go into Shane and Lucas' talk but I have a
plan. Having Issac is so much better than not having in my opinion at
least. He just helps me with writers block so much.

	So next chapter will be out asap but don't be afraid to tell me
