Subject: Life's Expectations - Ch. 16

	Lets get this over with now: I own "Life's Expectations" and every
character in the story. There are some events that have actually happened
to me, but all the characters are fictional. If it is illegal for you to to
view this in your location, then GTFO. You're probably gonna ignore that so
have fun. Boy on boy happens in this story so if your not a fan of that,

	Sorry about the flashback in a flashback... my brain didn't want to
remember a little detail and before I knew it I was just about done the
chapter... So I had to go back. Now Shane's and Lucas' back story is
over. Now to carry on with the story!

	This chapter will be the end of the sleepover and will go into a
tech meeting. So some little things happen. Not allot of big stuff but I
hope you enjoy it anyways!

	Just a few more notes before I start. I'm not sure who Nick should
go out with. I've been building him with Lucas, but not sure if I want to

	Chapter 16 – Hanging By A Moment

	Issac's POV

	It only took like ten minutes before the gaming started. Nick,
Gage, Lucas and Tanis resumed Gears of War 2's horde mode. Zach called
taking over who ever died first's controller. Shane seemed less interested.

	I asked Nick for a pencil and paper and started to draw the
scene. Gage on the edge of his bed leaning over towards the tv. Sam on his
belly, feet in the air swaying back and forth, laughing at all of Gage's
excitement. Nick siting on his desk chair and Tanis is siting right beside
him on Gage's. Lucas siting leaning back against Nick's legs. And finally
Shane snuggled up to Zach on a beanbag chair.

	I took place by Nick's bed. There is a small area at the foot of
his bed with beanbag chairs lying around. So I thought right there would be
good to from. Gage's bed was on the other side of the room against the side
of the room and the opposite corner than me. A desk right beside it, to
it's right.

	When I was just finishing everyone's outline a shadow went over my
paper. I look up to see Nick, "What ya doing in the corner?" He then looks
at my drawing, "Dude that's sweet! So that's what you've been doing?"

	"Ya, I thought since I don't really like Gears, I would draw what
everyone was doing..."

	"That's an amazing picture, but why can't I see everyone's faces?"

	"I'm not that great at faces, so I usually draw silhouettes." He
stared blankly at me, "It means you only see their shadow."

	He thought about it for a second and then came to a realization,
"OH like the 9th opening in the original Naruto anime!" Now it was my turn
to stare blankly. I've never really gotten into anime and stuff like that.

	"Here I'll start up my comp. and show you!" Nick turned around and
grabbed his chair, which had Lucas siting on it. "Up, up you!"

	"What?" before Lucas even really knew what was going on he was on
the floor. Gage actually pause the game in his laughter. I gotta admit
Lucas' face was priceless. "Little more warning next time please?"

	"Maybe..." Nick stuck out his tongue and Lucas greeted him by a
certain finger. After just a little more laughing everyone went back to
what they were doing. Before I knew it Nick had found what he's talking
about. "Here this!"

	"Exactly that!"

	"The song is called Yura Yura if you're wondering." He went on to
explain a lot about the anime... Mostly about how anything after episode
135ish is filler and you can skip it.

	I just finished up as Shane came over and laid on the bed, "What ya
drawin'?"

	"I just finished drawing the room with everyone in it." I showed
him and he examined it for a few seconds before grabbing it for a closer
look.

	"Dude, I can tell I'm there even though it's in silhouette. That's
awesome, your really good! How long have you been drawing for?"

	"I've been drawing almost everyday since I was young. So I don't
know, like 5..."

	"Well it doesn't really matter cause your good."

	"Thanks." Nick then came into the conversation talking about how I
should watch anime or read manga. This lasted like an hour of Nick showing
me 'cool' manga. Naruto, Fairy Tail, Pandora Hearts, and Full Metal
Alchemist are just some of the ones he showed me.

	He even forced me to read the first chapter for each of them. I
gotta admit some of them were interesting. Full Metal was probably my
favorite out of first impressions. Mostly cause of the art style but it had
a cool story for the first chapter.

	Shane apparently was a fan of manga and we started talking about
stuff. Shane was careful not to give out spoilers and even caught Nick
before he gave them out. It was hilarious cause Nick was getting so mad at
not being able to spoil anything for me.

	It wasn't long after that Gage paused Gears and gathered our
attention. "I don't know about you but I'm getting kinda hungry." It's
about 6:30, "If we order pizza now it should be here by the time everyone
is hungry." We all seemed to agree with him on that one, "So what kinds
should we get?"

	Nick responded immediately, "Meat lovers!" Almost everyone
agreed. Sam was the only one who didn't.

	"Cheese?"

	"Really Sam, cheese?" Zach gave a questioning look.

	"I don't really like meat..."

	Once against Nick responded, "Blasphemy!"

	"You say that every time Phoenix!" Nick just gave out a 'shhh'
sound and went back to his computer. "So everyone is okay with cheese and
meat lovers?"

	"Yep!" and with that it was settled. They went back to gears and we
went back to talking about random stuff. Tanis came over and joined our
conversation. I gotta say it was a lot of fun just learning their
interests.

	In no time at all the pizza was here. When the doorbell rang I
heard Kirin bark at it and I flinched. Nick of all people noticed and gave
me a concerned look. I just looked away, not really wanting to talk about
it.

	I was slightly saved by Gage, "So who's gonna come down and help me
bring the plates and pizza up?" he looked over towards Sam.

	"I will, like always." Sam got up and dusted himself off.

	"Lucas, Tanis, you guys should come down and get the air mattress
and stuff."

	"Okay, come on Tanis," They went downstairs for all the stuff.

	It was only like half a minute after they left that the door opened
up again. I suppose it would be Kirin, since a dog walked into the room. I
think I flailed one of the beanbags up and ended up underneath it.

	A heard the door close and Nick came over and looked at me, "Are
you okay?"

	"Is 'it' gone?"

	"Ya, Kirin isn't in the room." I look around to see no dog in the
room and everyone looking at me. This is just a little embarrassing.

	"Can we talk about it some other time?"

	"You've said that twice now! Why can't you tell us?" Nick wasn't
mad, he was confused I guess.

	"It has to do with my arms, okay! I don't like talking about it." I
started to rub my arms, "I have trust issues when it comes to what
happened. It's not your fault, it's mine."

	"Okay, can you promise when you do trust us you'll tell us?"

	"I promise nothing, but I can try..." It's not their fault someone
destroyed my trust in telling about my arms. I just can't get over it that
easily. Shane had this sympathetic look on him. I tried to ignore it but
couldn't. He knows what it's like to be betrayed like me...


	Lucas' POV

	So as we were eating and getting the air mattress auto pumped Gage
brought up, "So who's sleeping on the air mattress and who's sleeping with
Nick?"

	You don't know how bad I would love to have Nick snuggled up to
me. But I didn't say anything cause I don't wanna make my crush obvious. So
I went with, "What about you guys? Where are you sleeping?"

	"Me and Sam are gonna share my bed, and Zach and Shane are sharing
the top bunk. This leaves someone to sleep in Nick's bed with him and the
other two on the air mattress."

	"I'm not sleeping with Nick. No offense, I just like my personal
space" Issac waved his hands in front of him.

	Shane through a bite of pizza, "Lucas is likes to pull you in to
snuggle in his sleep, just sayin'"

	"Shut it you! You enjoyed the snuggles!" Shane just smiles and
continues eating. From the look of it, Zach didn't enjoy the comment.

	"I'll sleep with Issac, if that's okay." Oh my god thank you Tanis,
"That was Lucas doesn't invade Issac's bubble."

	"So I get forced to snuggle Lucas? How is that fair?"

	"Cause you like them Nick!" suddenly there was a pillow flying
across the room towards Gage. He ducked out of the way but Sam hit it with
his hand making it land on his head. "Tag teaming I against the rules."

	"Hey, if it's gonna hit me I block. Where it lands is not up to me
to decide." Gage swings the pillow at Sam who blocks again. Gage gave up
and passed it back to Nick.

	It wasn't long after that that we gave up on horde and we went to
watching movies. We ended up watching the Batman Begins and The Dark
Knight. I'd already seen them, but Issac, Sam and Nick hadn't seen the
latest one. So we had to watch them.

	Sam and Gage were still on Gage's bed. Shane was still snuggled up
to Zach on their beanbag chair. Issac was on Nick's desk chair siting cross
legged with Tanis on Nick's bed right beside him. Nick was on one of the
beanbag chairs on his stomach. I was leaned up right against his chair.

	No one moved but when The Dark Knight started Nick was falling
asleep. He was leaning over and resting on my shoulder, not to mention
drooling. It was only like 9 o'clock but Nick was out like a light. It was
adorable in a not so adorable kind of way.

	When the movie was done it was like 11 and like half of us were
tired. Gage, Sam, Tanis, and Zach all had energy to spare and went to play
Halo 3. Nick was still asleep till I moved and his head fell.

	"Woah what happened?" Nick looked around drowsy.

	"You fell asleep and started to drool on Lucas' shoulder." Tanis
gave out a little laugh.

	Nick looked up at my shoulder and opened his eyes wide, "OMG I'm so
sorry, I didn't mean to."

	"It's fine Nick, you were asleep."

	"I still feel bad about it..." Nick yawns and rubs his eyes. "I
think I'm ready for bed though." I couldn't believe my eyes. Nick walks
over to his bed, makes Tanis get off and then strips his pants off. It only
lasted like 5 seconds before he was under the covers.

	He snuggled up to his pillow... Shane just looks over at me, "Just
go, I know you want to." he then gave me a sly look.

	Gage looks away from the screen, towards me. "Mom doesn't come in
the room, she just knocks on the door. You'd be fine if you wanted to go in
the same attire he's in."

	I look over to Nick who is smiling at the whole idea. "It's
probably a good idea that I get in there before he takes up the entire
bed."

	"If you wake up with less clothing than Nick has on right now, I'm
gonna beat both your asses!" Gage had a serious look on his face, which
turned into a smile, "But ya he takes up the bed all the time."

	"What kind of beating!?" It was Nick looking up towards Gage.

	"Sick minded syndrome is all over that comment, Gage." Zach said as
he killed him.

	"Eh, We're not playing right now." Gage took a good stare at Zach.

	"YOU'RE not playing right now."

	Gage just rolls his eyes, "Straight guy in the room, just saying."
Tanis then killed Zach, "And karma's a bitch." Once again everyone laughed.

	I hesitantly took off my pants and crawled into Nick's bed. He
fixed the pillow so that I could use it. So I laid down and he snuggled
right up on my right side. His hand found it's way down and under my
shirt. It didn't go up farther than my stomach but I still got hard from
it. This has been a good night.


	Gage's POV

	The sleepover went great! Lucas didn't hate Nick for semi-lying to
him. They even slept together in peace. Shane and Lucas are talking again
and no one got hurt in anyway shape of form.

	The bad news is though we still have no idea what exactly happened
to expose them to the school. We asked Matt if he found anything and he
said all his trails have gone cold. Then we talked to Chester and he said
he hadn't heard anything about it.

	So anyways the sleepover went great but it's now tuesday and the
day where the Head Tech gets 'crowned'. So here we are in the theater
waiting for John to show up.

	I should probably explain how the whole tech seniority
works. There's John who is the Technical Director, who is fully in charge
of all tech things. Then it goes Tech President, who is Quin, who was our
last Head Tech. Then it goes head tech, then it goes to treasurer, who is
in charge of selling glow sticks at dances and such.

	Sam is gonna get treasurer though and everyone knows it. I mean he
helps his mom do her taxes for goodness sakes. Plus all that position
really does is get the ability to sit on the stage with the rest of the
senior techs during the meeting.

	The bell for lunch went about 10 minutes ago, and John just walked
in. Eating whatever he obtained for lunch. He sat down in front of
everyone, on the stage of coarse. "So everyone knows what today is, and if
not then your to new to be considered. Today I make my choice on the Head
Tech and Treasurer."

	There was clapping all around for no reason. Then Quin spoke,
"Quiet minions!" everyone went quiet immediately, "Good..."

	"Anyways, Treasurer was an easy choice. I got recommendations from
everyone I talked to to choose you, including Mrs. Rampart." Mrs. Rampart
is the person in charge of the theater's everything. Advertising, ordering
supplies, scheduling, so everything. "So Sam may take a seat up on the
stage." Which Sam did."

	Kyle then shouted, "Who's the Head Tech!"

	"Calm down Kyle.. The Head Tech is someone who knows almost
everything about the Tech crew. They must have the ability to show others
how to do things while also being able to take charge." John looked around
as he was talking to us. Not making eye contact with anyone. "I had brought
my choices down to two people. Both in the tenth grade. When I made my
decision I made it on a few things. The things I spoke of just now, and the
amount of time they have spent volunteering. So I chose Gage."

	Sam and Quin both smiled, Matt got up and hugged me from behind. I
was kinda in shock, I didn't think that he would pick me. I mean, ya I
helped out more than like all of the grade 11s and Quin is the only grade
12. The position would have to to go a grade 10, but Gabe has to be the
other option. Gabe helps out just a little bit less than me but he has a
tiny bit more knowledge than me.

	"Come on Gagey get your ass up here!" I got up as sat beside Sam
who just smiled back at me.

	"Well that's everything really, other than this Friday is the
school dance. So after school come to the theater and help set up, you'll
get in for free." John got up and headed up towards the booth.

	Sam glomped me, knocked me over with a hug, saying "Good job!"

	"I didn't do anything."

	"Yes you did. You spent 3 years helping out selflessly for the
theater! That's what got you here!"

	Nick came up to me and we high fived, "I guess all those late
nights are worth it!"

	"Ya deff!"

	Nick and his group of friends went out of the theater. Well most
people went out leaving only my group of friends. So Kyle, Zach, Gabe,
Shira, Quin, Sam and Lindsey. Sam moved a little closer as everyone left.

	Quin looked over at us as he moved over, "Why don't you two just go
out with each other? I mean your out to your mom and everything right Sam?"

	"Ya..."

	"So what's the problem?"

	Sam and I grew silent, I didn't know the answer, but I'm sure Sam
does. "Honestly... I don't know really." Wait we both have no idea!! WHAT??

	"Gage?"

	"I don't know either really. It's always been a wait for Sam to be
ready." Quin looks at us and then uses a hand motion to gesture to get to
gether.

	Matt took the less settle approach, "DO IT, DO IT, DO IT, DO IT!!"
we both laugh at him.

	Do I need to be the one to ask? I mean we both aren't exactly in
the best position to ask. To top it all of neither of us are engaging in
eye contact for longer than a second.

	Don't get me wrong, I love Sam. We both know that we have crushes
on each other and have acted as boyfriends for who knows how long. Sam is
like the best guy in the world, in my opinion but asking him out in front
of everyone? Knowing Sam though, I'm gonna be the one to do it.

	"So uhhh... Sam..." Everyone's eyes are on both of us. But we
haven't even looked at each other, "Do you wanna be my..." Oh god this
can't be happening!

	"Just do it you idiot!" Kyle threw his pencil case at me head, and
hit!

	"Ow, that hurt dude!" Kyle just motioned his hand towards
Sam. "Sam... Do you wanna be my boyfriend?"

	His hand slipped over to mind and interlocked. His head went on my
shoulder and he sighed, "Well, who are the other options?" I smacked him so
hard he coughed from it, "I'm kidding, of course I will."

	Everyone gave out 'woots' then on Quin's command, almost, went,
"Kiss, Kiss, Kiss, Kiss!" We just looked at each other and smiled. I went
in for our first kiss ever!

	Not joking even, Sam and I have never kissed ever! We have done
other stuff like bjs and stuff but nothing more than that. We've known each
other for all our lives but never kissed! It's so weird.

	I gotta say though that kiss was like lightning! It was outstanding
even though it only lasted like 5 seconds. We didn't french but that's
okay. Sam's lips were so smooth and soft I could kiss him forever. We
separated cause we heard the warning bell go off.

	I got up, and held my hand out for him, which he grabbed with a
smile. "Drop me off at Socials?" I just smile and start walking, Sam right
by my side.

	The entire walk there was just a little out of the
ordinary. Everyone just kinda noticed that we were holding hands and
started talking about it. Probably starting rumors. Either way, what is
there to tell?

	When we got to Sam's socials class it felt all to soon. Sam blushed
a bit and looked at me, "I'll see after French?"

	"Of course, where else would I be?"

	"Good." Then he gave me a quick peck on the lips and went into
class. I was left there stunned for a few seconds.

	Kyle came up behind me and gave me a little push, "Come on love
bird, lets get to Math class." As we went down the hallway I saw Sam's mom,
with an all-knowing smile on her face. All I could do was blush.

	The rest the walk was semi normal. Those who had heard by now were
looking at my awestruck face. Everyone else minded their own business.

	I had barely even sat down in Math before Chester, who took math 9
last year, turned to me and asked, "So, whats the word from the source?"

	"Sam and I are a thing now, since lunch."

	"Got it! You had hot juicy..."

	"Chester!" All of use stopped him before he finished. Chester just
laughed it off. Today was a good day, Head Tech and a newish
boyfriend... This dance is gonna be the best ever!

	Chapter end

	Sorry that took a while, writer's block and stuff. But here you go,
here's the chapter. Next chapter will be about the dance... and will be out
asap.

	P.S. So I got Naruto Storm 3... I beat it in 12 hours. I gotta say,
minus my grubs about it's horrible roster, it's a good game. Oh and why the
hell would they give range characters a buff... >.>
