Subject: Life's Expectations - Chapter 32

	Lets get this over with now: I own "Life's Expectations" and every
character in the story. There are some events that have actually happened
to me, but all the characters are fictional. If it is illegal for you to to

	Last chapter Kale talked to Gage, Sam and Matt. Lucas seduced Colby
and Shane said he was ready for the next level of his and Zach's
relationship! Eventful if you ask me.

	This chapter will have a bit of Shane and Zach, some Shane and
Lucas, and some more Kale. (Not in that order). Shane and Zach will be
about the obvious, Shane and Lucas will have a one on one talk, as friends
and nothing more. And Kale's part will be more about his mom and dad.

	So in the coming chapters you can tell there will be a court case
for custody for Kale. There is just to much foreshadowing not to. So I'll
try and get that over with quickly.

	With out further adieu here is chapter 32 of Life's Expectations!
Sadly i couldn't find a song that fit this chapter very well... so I made
my own title XD.

	Chapter 32 – Life Long Friendships.


	Shane's POV

	The appointment with Mrs. Bear was uneventful. I had returned deep
into my 'shell' as Zachie calls it. I ended up hearing about Zach's parents
more than anything. Noah didn't make it this time, he had lots of homework
and apologized like 30 times on skype.

	The date went well. We went and saw a movie and snuggled the entire
movie. One elderly couple made a comment about us being discussing, then
they started to snuggle. Zachie then said, "Ewww, no one wants to see
wrinkly love here!" loud enough for most of the theater to hear. Not the
bast comeback and I smacked him for it but it happened. To say the least
they didn't make anymore comments about us. Out loud at least.

	Now we are at his house for a sleepover. We are once again watching
a movie. But this time we're watching Snow White. Zachie has been
complaining the whole time. "I like grumpy the best."

	"That's cause your grumpy about us watching Snow White." Zach
nods. "Your silly, you know that."

	"No, I'm grumpy." I rolled my eyes. Zachie places his left hand

into my father's house, locking the door behind me. With-in minutes I got a
knock at the door. I opened it with that latch thingy in place so it could
only open a little bit, It was my mother, "What do you want?"

	"You are coming home with me right now!" Without a doubt, this was
my mom on a mission.

	"And if I don't?"

	"Your father will face charges of kidnapping and mental abuse."

	I shook my head, closed and unhooked the door so I could intimidate
my mother. "I was 10 when you split up, and dad showed me one single
document from the child custody papers. It stated, 'If Kai Jones deems
Donna James as an unfit parent, he has a legal right to take Kale James
from her custody and house him in his home.'"

	"It also says he must inform the authorities if and when he does
so."

	I laughed, "If you want me to come 'home', let alone speak to you
again, I suggest you drop the charges and actually get my opinion on the
matter!" I slammed the door and locked it.

	From there I waited for a officer to arrive requesting a statement
from me. I happily went down to the copshop and gave my statement. I said
everything that happened. From Christmas till New years. I answered all the
questions they gave me and at the end informed me of something, "We cannot
allow you to go to your father's house until everything is under
control. It's also obvious that you are not willing to go with your
mother. Do you have a friend you could call?"

	Just then Mr. Bells came into the room. "He'll be staying with me."

	Stunned I waved at Gage's father, "Hello Mr. Bells, I didn't expect
to see you here."

	"I didn't expect to be here either. My Law firm got a call about
your father and his lawyer is with him now. I am here to offer my
assistance to you, to make sure your voice is heard."

	From in the waiting room I could hear Gage yell, "It was my idea!"

	His dad shook his head, "Don't worry about paying me, I am just
here for you to be heard. Now shall we be going?"

	I nodded, "Yes lets."

	When we got into the waiting room Gage was looking really awkward
beside my mom, who apparently gave her statement and waited for me. "You
are coming home with me right now young man."

	"And if I don't?"

	"Then your father will be charged with kidnapping a minor and will
never be able to be a teacher again." She was right on that part, But
that's only if he's found guilty. "I am giving you and your father one
chance to stop this charade or I will press charges."

	"Excuse me," It was Gage surprisingly, "I'm just a kid, who happens
to be friends with your son, but I'm about to give you some valuable
advice."

	"Why should I listen to you?"

	"Cause I know what your son is thinking right now, most likely."
Gage shrugged.

	My mother looked at him coldly, "And what is he thinking?"

	"Why are you asking me? You're his mother, you gave birth to him,
yet your asking me." Gage shook his head, "Looks like you don't even know
your own son. He's thinking of how much of a selfish bitch you're being
right now."

	"Gage Bells!" His dad growled at him.

	"Sorry but it's true. So my advice to you is simple. Stop trying to
force your obviously rebellious son to come home and actually hear him
out. By threatening him to charge his father with kidnapping your just
throwing gasoline onto his fire. If you want a good relationship with your
song suggest you take a step back and look into the mirror and see why he's
doing what he's doing."

	Gage grabbed my hand and led me out of the building. My mom was
stunned by his speech and just kinda stood there. We were silent the entire
way to Gage's house. When we got there Nick was finishing setting up the
top bunk of his bed, "You get the bottom, I'm sleeping on the top bunk."

	I laughed and then their mother walked in, "Okay boys, ground
rules. I know all three of you are at least into boys, so don't ask don't
tell stands. I would appreciated it if you just didn't. Secondly: this is
not a sleep over. Go to bed at a decent time. And third: Gage you and Kale
better be doing allot of the chores around the house!"

	"Oh ya, I kinda promised we would do some stuff. Also we're making
dinner one night. Atleast we get to decide what it is!" I rolled my eyes
and shook my head. This is gonna be an interesting event in my life.


	Lucas' POV

	Here we go... It's just about to be Friday's lunch period and my
plan is kinda in motion. Shane is in my class right now, Socials, and I'm
gonna talk to him before we go to the cafeteria. Then I'm gonna talk to
Nick and then out myself to the school.

	I know the school knows that I'm into guys. I still hear the

need to apologize again."

	"I feel I need too. Even if you know it wasn't me." I sighed, "I
also want your opinion on something."

	"Lay it on me!" Shane skipped a bit. That's how you know your in
good terms with Shane, he skips a step or two.

	"Well I've been a bit of an asshole to Nick lately."

	"Understatement of the year, but continue." I shoved him for that
one. He knew i knew it okay!

	"Anyways, I want to make it up to him. I also want to make it clear
to the school I'm gay..."

	"Decided on one have you?" Once again, I shoved him.

	I let out a groan too, "For now I guess. What do you think I could
do for him?"

	"Well first you need to actually talk to him. He might not be ready
to come out yet. Even though his class makes fun of him for being gay, they

	"Ya, I know... I just need to know I'm doing something right

	"You wont know until it happens sadly... Anyways I'll see you in
the cafeteria, I have to go meet up with Zachie!"

	I rolled my eyes and went to go find Nick. Just as I got to Drama
wing we was walking out towards the Cafeteria. "Nick!" He stopped and
looked at me.

	"Ya?"

	I ran towards him and stopped right in front of him. "Can we talk?"

	"We can talk, we are right now..." There was part sarcasm part 'i
don't want to' coming from his voice.

	"Okay, May we talk?"

	"Sure..." He brought me into the bathroom for some reason. "I know,
it's girly, moving on. What do you want to talk to me for? You've been
ignoring me since the telethon."

	"That's what I want to talk about." Nick huffed. "I wanted to say
I'm sorry. I was scared that my dad would find out and then I would never
see you again, or worse. I was stupid."

	"Understatement of the year award goes to..." I love how both Nick
and Shane use that. "So what now? You want to go to how we were?"

	"No... well yes but no." Nick looked confused. "I'm going to out
myself as gay and then... well I haven't gotten that far."

	"Outing yourself is gonna out me you know that?" Nick's eyes sunk
to the floor. "I don't know if I'm ready for that..."

	"Nick, Here is the hard truth:" He looked up a little bit, "The
kids in your grade already make fun of you because they think your gay. So
why not embrace it?"

	From the stalls we heard a laugh, "That's it I've had enough of
this blabber." Next thing we see was Jake come out of the bathroom. "Well
if you don't mind me, I'm just gonna out the lovely couple in here."

	Nick blushed and sunk into himself. Jake left the
bathroom. "Nick..."

	"I'm not blaming you. I lead you in here..."

	"Wanna face it like men? Or avoid it till Monday?" Nick just

	We entered the cafeteria to hear, "...And Lucas Bear are together

	We walked in and looked around, all eyes were on us. Shira walked
up to Jake, "You know what... I think I'll give your boyfriend a call."

	"I'm not a faggot. Those two are!"

	Shira laughed, "You know its common for bullies to pick on others
because of their own insecurities. And more common for people in the closet
to make fun of the ones who look, sound, or act gay."

	Jake blushed and ran out of the cafeteria in a rage, "I AM NOT
GAY!!!"

	That left the room in a fit of laughter. Shira came over in the
midst of it all, "So are you two a couple or is Jake being Jake?"

	Nick looked at me, "I think we might be..."

	I smiled, "Well I think we are." Nick leaned into me and looked
up. "You're adorable."

	Annie's POV

	So... Nick got outed today or something? Well now it's after school
and I had a test to do but I'm heading over to his house. The quickest

	Okay so I know I mentioned nothing about Annie getting rapped in
the beginning but it was more dramatic cause I didn't right? Anyways, so in
this chapter stuff happened in all 4 of protagonist's individual stories.
Yes Nick, Isaac, Gage and Zach all had something happen.

	For Isaac, his boyfriend got rapped. Nick and Lucas are finally an
official couple. Gage has Kale staying at hi place, (Spoilers!: It will
always be GageXSam!) And Shane and Zach made their next step!

	What will happen next chapter! I don't know yet! I will try and get
the Kale situation over with in the next couple of chapters but no
promises. AnnieXIsaac is gonna last a bit, but be shaky... just saying... I
think the first of the four stories completed will be Gage's. I mean I
kinda started in the "middle" of it. No build up really.
