Subject: Life's Expectations ch. 8

	Lets get this over with now: I own "Life's Expectations" and every
character in the story. There are some events that have actually happened
to me, but all the characters are fictional. If it is illegal for you to to
view this in your location, then GTFO. You're probably gonna ignore that so
have fun. Boy on boy happens in this story so if your not a fan of that,
what are you doing here? Donate to Nifty, cause they give you awesome
stories and you love them for it.

	So I'm sorry last chapter was late but with everything that was
going on I didn't have any other choice.

	Last chapter I went from Annie's rather interesting party to Zach
and Shane's date. I know they aren't having a typical first date but its
fantasy okay. This chapter will complete their date... I don't think I'll
add anything about Sam and Gage but who knows.

	So I went on Vacation... again... kinda. Christmas break is not
Vacation for me. It's the opposite, I work way more. So I was visiting my
Aunt that I haven't seen in 5 years and I had a blast.

	Anyways without any further stalling here is chapter 8! The Date.


	Shane's POV

	Zach was really shy at my place. I mean with his 'not first date
material' going on. I mean I agree with him but it's kinda funny. Even
during our regular talk he was shy, always blushing and avoiding eye
contact.

	When I learned I was staying over at his house... I was stunned. I
mean His Aunt seamed nice and probably convinced Paula and Scott to do it
with her 'he'll be in the spare bedroom' card. I haven't slept over at
anyone's house since... well my mom past away. I'm a little scared about
this, I get nightmares and sometimes they are so intense they make me
cry...

	Don't even get me started on the ride to Pizza Hut. I mean awkward
silence level 100! Zach kept trying to talk but kept stopping himself. I
kept my eyes to the floor of Miss. Albore's SUV.  I mean I looked up at him
when ever he made a noise and giggled when ever he stopped himself.

	When we finally arrived I undid my seat belt to hear a, "Stay right
there!" from my right. Oh ya I'm behind the driver's seat and Zach is also
in the back. A gentlemen thing to do. My door opened to Zach holding it,
"Here you go."

	"Aww Zachy, too cute!"

	"Auntie!"

	I gotta admit she was right. He is making quite a first impression
for dates. "Why thank you. And thank you for the ride Miss. Albore."

	"Oh Shane, outside of school you can call me Liz if you like."

	"I think I'll stick with Miss. Albore for now." Okay that is one of
those stereotype lines you can't not blush to.

	"I'll see you boys later, have fun."

	We waved goodbye and went into Pizza Hut. For being around 4pm it
wasn't that full. I thought it would have been fuller. I mean on everyone
of my 'dates' its been semi full but not this time.

	Zach wanted to sit a little farther away from the buffet cause he
wanted to see it but not smell it. I thought it was a kinda interesting
quirk to him. I mean seeing and smelling are basically the same right?
Other than the whole what you use thing.

	We had been sitting for about 5 minutes when my usual waitress
showed up. "Hey Shane, cute boy this time. He single?" Her name is
Natalie. She graduated with my brother. They had gone out for a period of
time. Shes the only girlfriend of Noah's that I liked.

	She has dyed blonde hair and green eyes. She's darker in skin than
me and Noah and has quite the set... Yes even I notice that I guess I'm not
entirely gay. She was in her uniform, with her hair up... Still kinda
pretty.

	"Zach is sure he's gay Natie, sorry."

	"Oh well I guess you finally have your catch then. What can I get
you two to drink?"

	"Sprite or 7-up for me." I figured Zach would go for Coke or Pepsi,
first impression was slightly off. Not by much though.

	"The usual please."

	"So the same then?" I nod, "And would you like these menus or are
you buffeting it up?"

	"Definitely the buffet, thank you though."

	"Okay I'll be back with your drinks. You can grab food at anytime."
She smiled waved and left.

	Zach was just finishing taking off his jacket when he looked at me,
"Know her?"

	"Ya, she dated my brother a few years back. They are still good
friends. Grad partners actually."

	"Cool, so tell me about your bro."

	"He's just an older straighter me, really. The only difference
really is I have glasses and he doesn't. Noah also plays sports while I
like to play games more. He's a big hockey nut and kicks my ass in NHL
games all the time." Zach was just looking at me, fully paying
attention. "What?"

	"You are cute when you talk about your brother." That made me
blush, maybe even a full body blush. "And when you blush."

	"Lets just get food."

	We went and got our food. He almost had to grab a second plate. His
excuse was that he doesn't like going back for seconds. I grab a plate full
but still had some room for some other things. I'm always like that though.

	We talked a bit over dinner. I learned that he can't stand
mushrooms or pineapple. Zachary was his full name, I still like Zachy
though. He plays hockey and he asked me to go to his first game. Of course
I said yes, I like watching, just not playing.

	After dinner we talked a bit more just about random stuff. I asked
how the new school was going, he asked how I was doing this year. It
slipped my lip, when I mentioned Lucas, "I haven't seen Lucas around much
so it's been good."

	"Lucas?"

	"Oh shit!, Oh sorry." Dammit now I gotta explain it, "He's the guy
who outed me last year. It's a long story."

	"I'll listen, I'll even tell you one of mine." He has to be the
best listener I've met ever.

	"Well Lucas and I have been friends since I moved in with Paula and
Scott. He was the second person I told that I thought I liked boys. Noah
being the first. The day I told him he asked what I ment and we... you
know... experimented..." Okay that was beyond awkward, "He was the first
boy I took on one of my 'dates' and we had a blast.

	"The next couple of days after we went out he wasn't at
school. He's never told me why, so don't ask. When he got to school he
looked sad so I tried comforting him. During lunch he flipped saying 'Leave
me alone!' and stormed out. I tried to look for him but didn't find him.

	"Next day at school, practically everyone knew. I got laughs by the
typical bullies and a few of the girls. My friends said they didn't care
and let me still sit with them. When Lucas showed up I flipped on him. I
then stormed out, I just went straight home.

	"I guess Gage shouted he was bi in the cafeteria after I left and
everyone heard. On Monday of the next week he found me and said that he'll
help me out if I ever needed it. He has kept his promise every time I've
asked."

	I don't think Zach even blinked when I told him the story. This was
also the first time I've told the story without crying. So, win win?

	Zach broke our awkward 10 second silence, "Well I guess it's my
turn then. Before I moved back here, I outed myself to the school I was
going to. Even though the school had a GSA many of the kids made fun of
me. It was the end of the year so my Aunt said that if I could finish the
year we would move here.

	"Things got a little better once I wasn't the most resent news. I
lasted the school year and then we moved here to the house my mom and dad
got built. So we got here and my first day at the high school Gage's mom
finds out I'm gay. Then a week later I have a date with you. So don't be
all gloomy okay?"

	"Sounds good," Lets see, It's 5:42, we can take the 6 o'clock bus
and the movie starts at 6:30 so we'll be their early. "How bought we take
the 6 o'clock bus up? It's 5:42 right now."

	"Sounds like a plan! Lets go pay now then."

	"One sec. I wanna get one more pop before the movies." Zach gave me
a skeptical look, "CHEEPER." we both shared a laugh. So far I'm liking this
date.


	Zach's POV

	So the date was a smashing success. The dinner was awesome and so
was the movie. Shane and I even snuggled a bit during the movie. The only
part that went a little bad was when Lucas showed up. He didn't even say a
thing but I could feel Shane not being happy to see him.

	I mean even I can tell there are things they need to talk
about. Like why Lucas was having a bad day. Shane just needs to talk to him
and I bet they'll be friends again. But that can wait for another time.

	Right now we're playing Brawl on my Wii. We're in my room but my
door is wide open. I'm a little better but that's okay cause he's still
kicking ass. Fox is deff my best character, Shane's is probably Samus.

	"Wow your good at this game, Zachy." Oh and Shane has taken to
calling me Zachy... it still bugs me.

	"I've played a bit here and there, some of my old friends were
really good."

	"Well I think your the best!"

	"Thanks." I'm getting kinda bored of brawl... I wonder if Shane
likes Pokemon.

	"So what are we gonna play now? Since you turned off your Wii."

	"I'm gonna play my Emerald, you can play what ever you want."

	"Emerald as in Pokemon?" I nodded with a full blush. " That's
awesome! I've been playing Platinum. Prince is just so awesome!"

	"Prince?"

	"Oh my Empoleon. I named him Prince."

	"Oh cool. I have Platinum too, I just like Emerald better."

	"Where are you at? Whats your party?"

	"I just beat the Elite four. My party is my level 62 Blazikin, 60
Gardevior, 58 Aggron, 63 Manectric, 60 Milotic, and 55 Salamence. I'm
trying to beat the Battle Frontier currently."

	"Awesome party! I was worried you would think Pokemon was childish
so I packed my ds but I wasn't sure if I was gonna take it out."

	"I think Pokemon is a great game! No worries whats your Platinum
Party?"

	"They are all Level 100s. Prince, my Empoleon, Terrin, My Torterra,
Rosey, my Roserade, Bubble, my Snorlax..."

	"Bubble?"

	"He's big and bubbly! Anyways, I also have Blade, my Weavile and
Judas my Leafeon"

	"Judas, really?"

	"I like the name, okay? Whats your party in Platinum?"

	"It's mostly consisting of Pokemon from my other games but they are
also level 100. I got Dragonite, Steelix, Electivire, Arcanine, Aerodactyl,
and Porygon-Z."

	"Wow, we should battle!"

	"Sure!"

	That battle was epic! We brought each other down to our last
Pokemon. He started with his Rosey and I started with Aerodactyl. Lets just
say Rosey wasn't very alive after he got hit, once. He then pulled out his
Empoleon who brought Aerodactyl down a lot but Prince fainted before he
could finish the job.

	His Snorlax though tanked a hit and got Aerodactyl's terror out of
the sky. I tried using Steelix but Bubble Earthquaked him away. So I
brought out Porygon-Z who went toe to toe and barely won against Bubble. So
I had taken out 3 of his and he's taken out 2 of mine, Porygon-Z was as
good as gone though.

	His Judas was killer though, his Quickclaw got off like 3 times in
a row. He destroyed Z so I brought out Arcanine. My Flare Blitz missed and
he got me down to half health and then I got Judas the next turn. His
runner up, Blade got to attack first and destroyed Arcanine. It was down to
2 on 2.

	I had my Electivire and Dragonite, he had Blade and Terrin. So I
brought out Electivire and got Blade out with a Thunder. Then Terrin came
out and Earthquaked me. So Dragonite versus Terrin, both at full health.

	To say the outcome is obvious... is obvious. His Terrin had no good
moves for against my Dragonite and I beat him with a Ice beam and a Hyper
beam. It was a great match.

	After that we entered the Battle Tower together. I brought
Aerodactyl, Porygon-Z and Dragonite. Shane brought in Rosey, Prince and
Bubble. We rocked it, loosing only after the 5th time entering. Meaning we
won 35 guys in a row.

	By the time that was done it was almost midnight, "Dude, we make a
great team."

	"Ya, my Rosey goes great with your Draco."

	"Draco?"

	"Your Dragonite, that's my name for it."

	"Oh, okay. Hey you should probably replace two of your Grass
guys. For more type variety."

	"I've been meaning to, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I'm
gonna keep Rosey though. I've been thinking on getting a Metagross and
Raichu." Awwww his yawns are sooo cute. "I think I'm gonna go to
bed. Thanks for such an awesome afternoon and night."

	He came and gave me a hug and left the room. I went to brush my
teeth when Auntie Liz came into the room. "So how was your night?"

	"Great, I'm so happy I asked him out."

	"That's good, now remember there is to be no sharing a bed at all
tonight."

	"I remember don't worry." One day we will sleep in the same bed. So
I did the normal go to bed things. Brush my teeth, hop into bed to realize
I need to piss. Came back to bed and fell asleep, Happy and Content.


	Shane's POV

	"No, No, Daddy No!!" This can't be real, no it can't be. Gotta find
the front door. Where is the front door!?

	"There you are!"

	"Daddy no please! Ahhhhhhh!"

	I had one of my nightmares. I woke up all sweaty and breathing
heavy. Tears began to form, I wanted to stop but I couldn't. It was just a
dream, it wasn't real.

	I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and called Noah. He's
able to help me after my nightmares... Usually. He didn't answer the first
time so I called back without leaving a message. His phone was on, cause it
didn't go straight to voice mail.

	Twice, no answer. Come on Noah wake up! Third time's the charm? I
hope so. On the third ring he answered a very tired, "Hello?"

	I could barely get out, "Noah..." Through my current condition.

	"Shane, whats wrong!?" That woke him up quickly.

	"Nigh... Nigh... Night..."

	"Nightmares?"

	"Ya..."

	"Crawl into bed with Scott and Paula like you used to."

	"I'm 14, I'm to old for that! Not to mention I'm not at home right
now!"

	"Wait... You slept out?"

	"Scott and Paula wanted a night to them selves so Zachy's Aunt
invited me over to stay. I thought I would be okay since I hadn't had a
nightmare in months." See I'm able to say multiple sentences when talking
to Noah.

	"Then get into bed with Zachy."

	"We promised we wouldn't"

	"Your on the verge of tears and probably shaking, GO! Tell them it
was me who said to. I'll take your heat for you."

	"Thanks Noah, love you."

	"Love you to bro. Keep me posted." We hung up after that. I got up
out of my bed. Currently in my pj bottoms only, not even underwear. I
quickly scurried across the hall, phone up against my chest.

	When I opened the door I could hear a soft snore coming from
Zachy's bed. "Zachy..." I don't even think I heard myself. Lets try it a
bit loader, "Zachy?"  His bed stirred a bit. "Zachy?" finally my normal
voice.

	Zachy groaned and looked towards me... I think, "Shane, what are
you doing?"

	"I.. I....."

	"We can't sleep in the same bed remember?"

	"I had a nightmare." Great now he knows I'm crying."

	"Whoa, whoa whoa, a nightmare?"

	"Please... Just let me cuddle... only for a bit."

	"Get over hear." I ran over and jumped into bed with him. Snuggled
up right and close. I started to bawl and shake. "It's okay, I'm right here
Shane."

	After about half an hour I finally fell asleep in Zachy's
arms. This time I had an amazing dream of going out with Zachy more and
more. It was great, we were the perfect couple. And just as he was getting
down on one knee I got woken up.

	"Shane, this was your idea?" It was Miss. Albore looking over the
bed at us snuggled up.

	I instantly moved away from Zachy."No ma'am..."

	"So it wasn't you who came in here saying you had a nightmare and
was crying?" She's scary when she's mad.

	"It was my brother's, Noah..." I was on the verge of crying
again. "He said he'd talk to you. Here call him." I handed her my
phone. "Speed dial number 1."

	She took my phone and walked out of the room. "Sorry, I had to tell
her."

	"It's okay... It's not your fault I have nightmares."

	"Then who's is it?"

	"My dads..."

	"You wanna tell..." I had to cut him off, I know what he was about
to ask.

	"Not right now. Maybe another time. Just let me snuggle you okay?"
He nodded and I went back to snuggling him. He didn't have the most define
abs but he wasn't chubby either so it wasn't to bad.

	Maybe a half hour latter Miss. Albore came back into the
room. "Okay, I've talked to you brother and Scott and Paula. They are okay
with what you did with the situation you were in. They haven't told me any
details but they do want to have a talk with you."

	"Okay."

	"I'm sorry I freaked out on you earlier. Did you have a good sleep
afterwords?"

	"A great one!"

	End

	Okay I'm sorry it took so long but with vacation comes new games to
buy since where I live is tiny and pathetic. So I bought 5 new games and
have been playing them non-stop. Not to mention my traveling back and forth
from here to my Mom's house. Long 2 weeks is all I have to say.

	Next chapter will be all about Sam and Gage. They'll have their
little chat with Sam's mother and a little more. I will stop the trolling
with Gage and Nick... If you catch my drift...

	Once again I am sorry the two latest chapter have taken a long time
