LLL – Chapter 37 – Haunted Memories – Suspicious Minds

Nikolai Tavenor's POV

	"Mom! Mom! Mom!" I screamed as I ran through the house in search of
my mom. Dad's here; I have to tell her the good news!

	"We're in the living room, Nikolai." I did an 180, as I was heading
the opposite direction. I almost bailed, but I caught myself and continued
my way through the house.

	I came bolting around the corner throwing myself over the back of
the couch and almost into the coffee table. "Nikolai, calm down." Travis
sounded quite irritated, I mean I did almost crash into the table, but I
didn't really care, though.

	"Mom! Dad is in town!" Mom just giggled at my excitement. She gave
me her own look telling me to calm down. So I sat down and bounced in my
seat. "You knew didn't you!?"

	"I only found out just a few hours ago. He offered to pick you up,
and I thought it was a good idea." HELL yeah, it is a good idea! It's an
amazing idea for him to pick me up. I'm so happy right now.

	Dad came into the room chuckling. "I don't want to say it a third
time, Nikki." I pouted and settled down just a little bit. Nikki was the
nickname my dad gave me when I was little; it's stuck.

	"How long are you in town for Ben?" Travis asked my father. Dad and
Travis have always gotten along in a way. Sure, in the beginning, Dad had
his opinions about Travis but over time he's gotten less and less outbursty
about it.

	Dad came around and sat down beside me. "Well, I'm on paid leave
from work so it might be a little bit, could be just a couple of days. I
don't really know."

	"What happened with work?" My mom sounded super worried about it.

	Dad didn't seem too concerned about it, though. "I got a minor leg
injury at work. It's nothing serious, but I have mandatory leave until it
gets healed up. I'll be back to work in no time, as long as I don't do
anything too drastic."

	My dad is in construction; he's helped build all kinds of
places. Since he uses his legs a lot on the job, I guess his boss didn't
want him to get hurt more; so I get to spend some time with my Daddy, which
makes me so happy!


	It wasn't long after getting home when I went to bed. I had the
best dreams about hanging out with my dad, with Tyson. Sex with Tyson, yes
I dream about that. I don't want to push things on him, though; it's not
right.

	When I woke up, I immediately went into the living room. Have to
get an early start to today, spending as much time as I can with my dad as
possible.
	I came bouncing into the room, Travis working on breakfast for
himself. "Morning!"

	Travis didn't change his view. "Good morning Nikolai. What's your
plans for the day?" He turned around, a plate full of pancakes in his
hands. "Want some pancakes?"

	"Yes please!" We ended up eating together; mom and Wednesday were
still in bed. It was a pretty awesome step-dad and son breakfast. "I was
thinking I would call dad and see what he was up to today."

	"I'm off to work, which should be fun. Not as fun as your plans."
Nothing will ever happen as fun as my plans. Travis took a huge bite to
finish off his pancake. He swallowed before speaking. "I hope you have a
good day champ. I gotta get going, see you later."

	And like that Travis was off to work. I was alone for a while until
Mom got up. Eventually, Wednesday dragged herself out into the light of
day. She might just be nine, but she sleeps like a teenager.

	At about 11 the doorbell went off. I booked towards the door and
found dad on the other side. Just like before, I gave him a huge hug and
dragged him into the house. Wednesday, who wasn't awake last night to see
him, had her freak out.

	After a little while, Dad looked towards me. "Say, Wednesday, would
you mind if I spent the day with Nikki?"

	She had a little pout to her voice. "Fiiiiiine. But we get a
hangout day right?"

	"Of course. It'll be just you and me." He pinched her cheek, and
they both had huge smiles on their faces. She pushed him off and turned
around, going towards her room. "Ready to go Nikki?"

	"Okay. See you late mom!" I grabbed my jacket and got my shoes
on. "Hurry, hurry, hurry!" Dad rolled his eyes before opening the door.

	"We'll be back later Lucy."

	Mom called out. "Have fun boys!"

	We followed mom's advice to the letter. We went out for ice cream,
went mini golfing, just spent time together as father and son. How can my
life be so perfect right now? It couldn't get any better than this.


	So after a couple of hours, we finally settled down for some
food. It was like in the afternoon; we were both very hungry. The decision
to get Pizza Hut was an easy decision for us. We both love our pizza.

	The conversation hadn't come up all day; I guess dad was just
waiting until now to bring it up. "So, who is Tyson to you?"

	Without even thinking about it I replied. "He's my boyfriend." and
then proceeded to take a big bite of my pizza.

	Dad took a sip of his pop and smiled. "Don't you think you're a
little young to have a boyfriend?"

	I looked at my dad straight in the eyes. "How old were you with
your first girlfriend?"

	"Fifteen." He replied instantly.

	Well I've been caught off guard haven't I? "Well, Tyson and I like
each other, what's wrong with us going out?"

	"You two are so young, what if he turns out to be just
experimenting?"

	I snorted. "Dad, I'm not just in a phase, okay!" I loved my Daddy
to bits and pieces, but the only way he seems to accept my sexuality is by
holding onto that. He thinks I'm in a phase and that I will eventually find
a girl and settle down for her. "I have looked at straight porn; it's
unflattering at every angle."

	"You just haven't found the right girl yet Nikki."

	I shook my head. "Don't 'Nikki' me when you're telling me I don't
know myself."

	Dad's face got serious. "I am your parent Nikolai, and I will not
be spoken to like that."

	"And I am a human being who KNOWS he's gay. Having someone, I don't
know tell me I don't know myself I can handle, but when my dad tells me
'you just haven't found the right girl' that hurts me. I like Tyson dad."
Looking at my food now, I wasn't all that hungry.

	I leaned back in my seat, crossed my arms and stared at the now
unappetizing pizza in front of me. Daddy loves me, I know, but it's times
like this that it's hard to believe. Why can't he just accept me? However I
am?

	Needless to say, that conversation ruined the mood for the day, and
I went home early. I went straight to my room without saying
anything. Pretty sure I heard mom swear at dad a couple of times. They
clearly got into an argument, though. Go mom.


Nick Bells' POV

	"Nickolas! Someone's at the door for you!" Gage called from
downstairs. So I grabbed some pajama pants and walked downstairs. "Get some
clothes on Nick!"

	I rolled my eyes and flipped my brother the bird, AND then looked
at who was at the door. "Leo? Wow, it's been a while hasn't it?"

	He chuckled. "Yes, it has. Do you have time to hang out today?"

	"Yes, just let me get some clothes on." Surprise visits from old,
kind of friends. What a way to start my morning. It only took me 10 minutes
to get all ready for a day with Leo of all people. Let's be fair; I could
have taken half an hour like I usually do but I didn't.

	Leo and Gage were catching up in the kitchen. I walked in sitting
down to join the conversation. "Yes, I met this kid named Aidyn and he's
got the most adorable little boyfriend, Noah." Leo must have been talking
about his new school. "He's pretty chill, in grade 10, pretty sporty."

	"You're school seems pretty awesome. Glad you're enjoying yourself
there. Are you coming back for grad?" Gage asked.

	Leo shrugged. "I don't think so. It's hard enough just being here
for the weekend."

	"How come you came back for the weekend?" I tilted my head as I
asked him. It makes me curious, why would he come back if it's hard for
him.

	"Well... Blake messaged me telling me Mattieu felt guilty about
what happened with Annie. I came over here, because I knew about Lucas too
and was wondering how that was going."

	"Never knew you to be a guy who goes so far out of his way." Gage
leaned back in his chair. I shot him a dirty look; he was right, but that
doesn't mean he has to say it.

	Leo has always been with Annie as long as I've known him. They were
each other's worlds and it seemed like no one else was allowed in. He and
Annie were good for each other.

	Leo just smiled it off. "When it comes to some people, I care for
them. Mattieu and Annie are just some of those people. Lucas started this
thing around the same time, Annie... So I'm worried about him." Well, they
are both guys you've slept with, that makes sense.

	"Lucas came to his senses and is telling his dad tomorrow at their
appointment. He and I are back together again." I told him. "What's up with
Mattieu though? I know him and Blake are getting serious but why do you
care about that?"

	Leo glared at me. "Okay, I get Annie, and I were very seclusive,
but that doesn't make me selfish. What Annie cared about, I cared
about. Lucas is one of those things. I want to make sure he's doing okay."

	"Yes, okay. Sorry."

	"And with Mattieu, I... There are still feelings for him. I want to
make sure he's doing okay."

	Gage smiled. "Are you going to do anything about those feelings?"
Haven't I talked to you about this Gage? Leo refuses to move forward with
them because of what happened between him and Annie.

	Leo just shook his head. "No, I just can't do that. I couldn't do
that to Annie. I know what kind of pain Annie went through; we were each
other's rocks. It's that mistake with Mattieu that cost my Annie in every
way. I'll find someone else; I know it." Leo sighed a really heavy
sigh. "You're sure Lucas is doing okay?"

	"100 percent. He's doing fine." I said in full confidence of my
boyfriend. Lucas has gone through something that could only have happened
if he tried to be straight. He knows now that he can't deny himself, and I
love him more now for it.


Mattieu Rieu's POV

	Dad called downstairs to me. "Mattieu! La porte est pour vous." Who
could be at the door for me? If it were Blake, he would have been let right
in. This means it's someone who doesn't normally coming over to my place.

	I got up the stairs, and there stood Leo with an awkward smile on
his face. "Hey, Leo..." I gave an awkward wave which he returned. "I'm
going to go out. Je serai de retour pour le dîner."

	I quickly got outside and into my car. Leo wasn't quite far behind
and got into the passenger side. We drove for a few minutes before stopping
and just sitting there for a bit. I guess neither one of us knew what to
say.

	"Are you doing okay?" Leo broke the silence.

	I nodded. "Yes, it's going good. How about you, how's the family?"

	"My dad is pretty cool. Markus and Leona are pretty good company."
Leo undid his seat belt. "Mattieu... You know that Annie wasn't your
fault..."

	"It wasn't yours either." Leo just slightly shook his head. You
could tell that he didn't believe me. "You couldn't have stopped it, Leo."

	"Yes, I could have. If I hadn't let you and I happen I wouldn't
have moved away."

	"Leo, you didn't come here to see me. What did you come here for?"
Leo got out of the car and started walking. I don't think he really knew
where he was going just needed to walk.

	I got out of the car and followed him. I was far enough back so
that he had his space but still close enough to know I was there. Guess I
know how everyone else feels for me now, wanting to make sure I don't feel
guilty.

	"Why do I feel so guilty about this Mattieu?"

	I sighed, what does one say at a time like this? I just kind of
went with my head. "Leo, think about this: Annie had to be in a bad spot
before you and I did anything. You two left on a good note, it wasn't just
you leaving that pushed him."

	"Yes, it was!" Leo had tears forming in his eyes. "I met Annie when
my brother brought me over to a friends house for them to fuck us. Annie
and I were their bitches, legitimately." I never knew that about
Leo... wow. "The time Annie and I were together we were both hurting. We
co-existed in our pain, and we managed to equal each other out. When I left
I had more people to help me; Annie had no one.

	"If I didn't leave he would have had me to protect him from
himself." Leo was grabbing his shoulder with all his might. "I could have
done something; I know it."

	"Leo, there is no way to know if you could have done anything. One
thing we do know is it happened and we can't change it. Would Annie want
you to be worried about what could have happened? What might have changed
his mind? You should just stop living in the past."

	"Easy for you to say Mattieu, why would you feel guilty?"

	"Because I was the reason you and Annie split. The reason you left,
why you blame yourself for everything. That's me. That's why I feel guilty
about all this." Leo looked surprised. "I blame myself for it, and now I'm
basically dating his cousin. The guilt I feel is tremendous, and I only had
3rd party ties to him.
	"So don't tell me it's easy for me to say because I'm saying it to
myself just as much as I'm saying it to you. We both need to stop focusing
on what might of, or could have happened and look towards our futures. If
not for us, then for Anthony." Wow, do I actually believe the words I'm
saying?

	For so long it's always been 'I shouldn't have done anything with
Leo, but now I'm believing myself. Blake and I are happy, as far as I
know. Sure he's Anthony's cousin, but that's got nothing to do with it. I
like him, and he's mine that is what counts.

	"Yes... you're right." Bien sur que je le suis. Of course, I
am. "At first, this visit seemed painful, but now... It's right. Thanks,
Mattieu."

	"Anytime Leo."


Isaac Adams' POV

	"Hey, Izzy..." I was chilling out with Antoine in his room. His bed
is really comfy, and a perfect place to draw the most amazing boy. Antoine,
he's the amazing boy.

	"Yes, what's up Antoine?"

	"Why is this Dakota guy messaging me? He says he knows you." Why is
Dakota messaging Antoine? Is he really that hell bent on trying to ruin my
life?

	I rolled over groaning. "Is it a guy who looks like he needs a hair
cut really bad?" He nodded, turning around with a very confused look on his
face. "I met Dakota a while ago online. He's got this crazy idea that we
were together, even when Kale and I were going out. Just ignore him."

	"He legit said you were cheating on me with Kale..." Seriously!?
What the actual hell is he thinking? Dakota is trying every shot to make
Antoine and I not work. Antoine must have noticed my irritated look. "I
wanna say he's lying..."
	"Yes, he is. There is no way I would cheat on you. If I were still
into Kale, I would be with him. We are together that's what matters." I
stared at him straight in the eyes with every word I said. Just to make
sure he got my message.

	Antoine smiled his sweet smile. "Okay. So what are we going to do
about Dakota?"

	"Here give me your keyboard." I got up and looked at his message to
Antoine.

Dakota: You know your boyfriend is cheating on you right?  Me: Hey Dakota
its Isaac. >.> Dakota: Seriously? What the Shit Me: You can stop trying to
lie to my boyfriend. Kindly live your life somewhere else, with me not in
it. Thanks.

	And that's when I blocked Dakota on Antoine's account thinking it
was my own. I didn't think that part through. "That was my account..."

	"Yes, I realize that. Want me to unblock him?" Antoine shook his
head. "I don't want you feeling like Kale, and I have anything going on
with each other. We honestly don't anymore; it's just you and me."

	Antoine gave me a kiss on the cheek. "I believe you, why would I
let some kid on the internet tell me something. I'd believe you any day
over another kid. Just don't make me feel like a fool."

	"I could never dream of it." I returned the kiss but this time to
his lips. "Would you like to Netflix and chill?"

	Antoine rolled his eyes. "Dinner is very close; I don't think we
have time. After dinner, we can, though." Sounds like an after dinner date
to me! "We should probably go up before your parents get any ideas about
us, though."

	I rolled my eyes. "Yes, whatever are we doing down here?" Antoine
returned my eye roll and got up. He went, opened the door and stood in his
doorway. "Fine let's go up and socialize."

	So I destroyed the POV order for this chapter. But you have more to
read, so I'll leave this short and go straight into trivia.


Trivia!
	Tyson Jackson for this chapter everybody.

	Tyson was the only one of the main 4, in the beginning, to be added
for LLL. His story was meant to be more centered around his parents, more
so his father. Those ten tickets were meant to all be used by the end. I
scrapped that Idea though and thought up Nikolai.

	His last name, yes is based on the late Michael Jackson's last
name. I thought up Tyson and then had to go with a last name. Pretty sure I
was listening to something by him at the time too.

	Originally I had no plan for who Tyson would end up with. Bradie,
Mattieu, Blake, Taylor were all options for me in the
beginning. Eventually, I just wanted to make a character named Nikolai
(Thank Game of Thrones), and I knew who Tyson would end up with. Oh,
Spoiler alert by the way.
