LiL Bros Chapter 26:

If there was one thing Michael hated was the not knowing how things would
go in life. He despised having to rent a home but for now he was doing the
best he could. Michael was still snoozing when he felt two little boys
bouncing on him. Opening his eyes Michael smiled as he saw Cory and Derrick
sitting beside him. Reaching out he pulled them both to him and gave them
hugs. Michael relished these moments with his two boys. Letting them go he
sat up and then taking them around the shoulders led them to the kitchen
where their housekeeper had their snacks ready. "Eat up boys then get your
homework done. Dinner will be at six Mr. Caine." She said as she walked
back to the oven.

That is fine, Myra, I think this will hold the brats until then." Michael
said with a smile.

"I gonna brat you daddy. Derrick said, then blushed.

Hearing Derrick Call Michael Daddy, Cory froze for a moment then
smiled as he ran over and hugged him. For Michael the moment lasted longer
and the feeling of pride filled him. "Mr. Caine, you have two very handsome
boys, I am proud to be able to work for you." Myra said as she wiped her
eyes.

"Thank you Myra, I hope that you will continue when we move back into our
new home. As for you Derrick, you may call me daddy anytime you want, you
like Cory are my son and I love you just as much." Michael stated with a
smile as he pulled his two boys into a hug.

Scott never bothered knocking whenever he came over to Michael's and so
when he walked into the kitchen he was surprised to see the three in a hug
and tears in Michael's eyes. "What's up dudes, did I come at the wrong
time?" Scott asked.

"No Uncle Scott, just a moment of pride. Derrick finally called daddy,
daddy." Cory said with a huge grin.

"Does that mean I have another nephew?" Scott asked as he joined in the
hug, giving Michael a kiss at the same time.

"Uh huh." Derrick mumbled.

"Great. Now Michael the reason I came over, besides wanting to be with the
best person in the world is to know when you are leaving for Seattle."

"Well I was going to talk with the boys about that after dinner, but since
you brought it up, I guess I had better do it now." Michael answered.

"Daddy you going away again?" Cory asked.

"Yes Cory, I have to, it seems as if there are some problems in Seattle
that I have to deal with, I am hoping I can do it quickly, but I am looking
at two weeks maybe more. I promise you both that I will call every night to
wish you sweet dreams."

"You betta come home daddy." Derrick said with a frown.

"I will, then maybe we can do something special, since school will be out
for you both."

"Okay."

"Michael, classes for us don't end until the end of April, how are you
going to deal with that?" Scott asked.

"I have spoken with my teachers and they have agreed to let me do the work
on my computer."

"Smart man, no wonder I like you. Will you let me come with you?"

"Sorry Scott, but I need someone to watch over my boys and you just got
picked."

"Well, then I guess they will be in better hands than yours." Scott said
with a laugh.

"Probably. Now let's eat I am hungry."

Scott managed to talk his way into staying the night and soon all four boys
were curled up in the front room playing a new game that Cory had
found. The nice thing was that Derrick was able to play the same game on
Michael's home computer while Cory used the Xbox.

With Cory and Derrick busy playing, Michael and Scott cuddled on
the couch talking while watching what the boys were doing. "What time does
your flight leave?" Scott asked.

"I think it is noon, I have to check my e-mails to be sure. Why?" Michael
answered.

"Oh I was thinking that maybe I could drive you to the airport."

"I would like that, saves me trying to find a taxi. I can't wait to get
this cast off and get a new car, this is the pits relying on others."

"I bet, but just think of it this way as least you do save a bit of money."

"Very funny, but you're right. By the way who fixed Derrick's bike, I never
saw a bill for it?"

"Oh Alex took it and fixed it, you remember him from the high school. He
said that one day you can repay the favor."

"I will, you can count on it. Just remember that they have to wear their
helmets, if they don't then they can't ride."

"I know, relax will you, they have stayed at our house a lot of times, you
were never this nervous then, why now?"

"I honestly don't know, it is like just me I guess."

"Yeah right. They will be okay and you will see them when you get back."

The rest of the night went by quickly, Cory and Derrick shared a
shower and then headed right off to bed leaving Michael a messy floor to
clean up. Smiling he did what he needed then went in and tucked the boys in
giving them both a kiss on the forehead. Once he was sure that the boys
were sleeping Michael and Scott shared a quick shower and headed off to bed
themselves. The next morning Michael and Scott were woken early by the
boys bouncing on their bed. "You two need to be quiet at night daddy."
Derrick giggled. "You woke me up."

"Sorry buddy, we didn't mean to." Scott said with a yawn.

"That is okay, besides it time to eat, Ms. Myra has breakfast ready for
us." Cory interrupted. For Michael this was the start of a day where
nothing would go right for him. After his morning shower, he found that he
had gotten the cast on his leg wet and it was starting to fall
apart. Having dressed as best as he could, Michael went to the kitchen
where he dropped his coffee cup, spilling everything. Swearing he went to
grab the mop and slipped on the floor.

"Michael, what is going on?" Scott asked rushing into the kitchen.

"Just a bad start, it will only get better."

"I hope so, now let me clean this up and we can get you off to your
flight."

"I have to replace my cast before I go."

"Damn it, you are having a bad day aren't you, okay eat breakfast, Richie
and Peter can take the boys to school."

"That's fine, Cory, Derrick I am sorry for swearing."

"It okay daddy, you just made a boo boo." Derrick said with a smile.

Giving his two boys a hug Michael sat at the table with them while
Scott got him another cup of coffee and Myra mopped up the mess from the
first cup. The four were still at the table when Richie and Peter came
bouncing in. "Morning guys."

"Ugg," Michael mumbled. "Scott shoot your brother he laughed.

"Gladly, no one should be so happy this early."

When Richie and the others had left Scott grabbed Michael bags and
tossed them into Mrs. P's car. Then he made sure Michael had his ticket and
everything else he would need. The way things were going for Michael this
morning Scott figured he would forget something. The visit to the hospital
to get Michael's cast replaced didn't take long as the doctor decided that
instead of using a plaster they would try the pressure cast instead. As the
doctor explained to the boys that this would be better as Michael could
take it off to shower and not have to worry so much. The doctor also stated
that he wanted Michael to still use his crutches for the next two weeks,
but after that they would see about making a walking cast for him.

Scott and Michael had just left the hospital and were getting into
their car when Michael's phone rang. It seemed as if the college was having
problems and needed to see him that morning. "Damn what else can go wrong
this morning?" Michael groaned. By the time Michael and Scott were finished
at the college they were running a half hour late.

"We aren't going to make your flight Michael, what are you going to do?'
Scott asked as he stopped at a red light.

"Hope they can get me on another one today." Michael answered just as two
cars collided in front of them.

"I have a feeling Michael that someone is wanting you to be late."

"God hates me that is what this is." Michael snapped.

"Maybe, but this could be for your own good.

"Yeah right, I got a business that is stealing from me and you think this
is for my own good." Michael snapped.

"Hey chill dude, I am on your side here so relax, we'll get there and you
will make your flight."

The airport was a pandemonium of noise and people as they rushed to
try and make their flights. Michael with his suitcase rolling behind him
slowly made his way over to the American Airlines counter and waited in
line. Once at the counter the lady just smiled and took the information
from him that would confirm that he had a flight booked. "I'm sorry sir,
but the flight you were supposed to be on has already departed. I can put
you on the next flight that will be leaving in thirty minutes." The clerk
said.

"That is fine, I am sorry for any troubles." Michael answered with a smile
he didn't feel.

Checking in his luggage, Michael took his laptop case and headed
over to where his boarding gate would be. Sitting Michael scanned the crowd
and then took up an old newspaper that was on the seat beside him. He
hadn't gotten through the first page before his flight was called. Boarding
Michael took his seat and tried to relax. He still hated flying and he
doubted that anything would ever change that. Thirty minutes later the
flight was in the air and Michael closed his eyes and thought of his two
boys at home waiting for his call.

The flight was long and boring for Michael, he slept some of the
way and then took out his school books and started going over the pages
that his professor had told him to. Michael knew that the his flight was
supposed to land in Seattle around ten thirty that night, but just as they
were leaving Colorado, the pilot came on the intercom system. "Ladies and
gentlemen, please accept our apologies, but we have been ordered to land in
Boise Idaho, at this time we do not know the reason and we apologize for
that. The airline will have hotel rooms for you all and again our sincerest
apologies for any delays that this may have caused you."

Since no one was allowed to grab their luggage. Michael soon found
himself settled into a cheap hotel room. The place smelled of mold and
mildew and the bathtub was filthy. Looking around the room Michael felt
sick. Grabbing his bags he went back down to the lobby and asked for a
Taxi. "Is something wrong with your room Mr. Caine?" The desk clerk asked.

"Yes it is despicable, it stinks, and the bathroom is fitly. I own a lot of
hotels and I would never let a person have a room like that." Michael
snapped.

"I am sorry sir."

Leaving the hotel Michael had the taxi take him to the Holiday in
that was a few miles away. Once there and checked in Michael felt
better. Tossing his bag onto the bed he then turned on the television,
hoping to catch the news. Stripping down he has a shower and was sitting on
his bed when, CNN interrupted the program that was there. "Breaking
news. Flight 1919 out of Fort Meyers Florida has disappeared. The police
and FBI along with the FAA are now searching for the airplane that was
carrying 290 passengers and crew. We will have more news when it comes to
us."

"Grabbing his phone Michael quickly called the Parker's home. "Parkers
place, we are sorry we can't come to the phone right now, but please leave
a message and we will get back to you." The voice mail stated. Leaving a
short message Michael hung up and tried to call Scott's cell phone, but
that too went to voice mail. Getting worried Michael made one last attempt
and called the Archer's home hoping that Peter or one of his brothers were
there.

"Hi, what's up dudes/ dudettes." Billy Archer stated as he answered the
phone.

"Billy, its Michael, where is Scott and the family?" Michael asked without
preamble.

"Hey Michael, they are all at the airport, they heard of the plane going
missing and got worried. Derrick and Cory are inconsolable."

"I can imagine, can you get to then and tell them that I am okay, that we
had to land in Boise. I will call back in an hour that should give you
time."

"Sure and Michael you had better call."

"I will I promise, I know my boys need to hear from me."

"Okay I will get going, talk to you soon."

"Thanks Billy, drive carefully."

That hour seemed like five for Michael as he sat watching the
T.V. he had ordered a light dinner, but that sat getting cold on the room
table. The news still wasn't good as no one had yet found the airplane or
passengers and that worried Michael. What was even more scary was the fact
that had Michael been on time that would have been the plane he would have
been on. For Michael that hour seemed to just drag. As he was waiting to
call back he kept the TV. On the news channel hoping to hear more.

Billy Archer had made it to the airport and having parked walked
into the terminal. The noise from the people standing around, some shouting
at the airline personnel and some just standing around looking
lost. Pushing his way through Billy searched for Scott and the boys,
finding them seated in a far corner away from everyone Billy walked
over. "Hey guys."

"Hi unca Billy. "Derrick whispered.

Kneeling Billy held his arms out for the boys and got a hug from them."
Guys I have some news for you both, something I think will cheer you up."
Billy said as he held Cory and Derrick. "But what do you say we go get
something to drink?" Uncle Scott can pay."

"I have been trying to get them to eat, but they won't." Scott stated.

"Come on guys, your dad would be upset if he knew you weren't eating."
Billy said with a grin.

"I just want my daddy back. " Cory sobbed.

"He will be back, he promised you that didn't he?" Billy asked.

"Uh huh, but his plane gone missing." Cory cried out.

"Well what would you say if I told you that your daddy was okay and that he
was going to phone you shortly?"

"You mean that?" Derrick asked, staring at Billy.

"Yes I do, now come on let's eat, I bet you two are hungry?"

Scott and the others had just sat when Billy's phone
chirped. "You're early, but that is a good thing." Billy laughed when he
saw that it was Michael calling.

"Yeah well what can I say, did you get to the boys?" Michael asked.

"Of course they are sitting across from me, so is lover boy." Billy
giggled.

"Put your phone on speaker so they all can hear me."

"Okay give me a second."

Laying the phone on the table, Billy just smiled and waited. "Cory,
Derrick this is dad?"

"Daddy." The two screamed together. The others in the restaurant stared at
the two before turning back to whatever they were doing. "Daddy you okay?"
Cory asked.

"Yes I am fine, just worried about my two little guys. Have you been
behaving yourselves?" Michael asked with a chuckle.

"Yeps we have. When you coming home Daddy?" Derrick asked.

"Not for a while guys, I still have to get to Seattle and deal with things
there, but remember I promised to call you both every night."

"I know, but?"

"No buts Cory, this is something I have to do, just like you and your
brother have to behave and go to school."

"Okay I love you daddy."

"I love you both and that lug head that is looking after you. Give him a
big hug for me would you?"

"Okay, I will daddy, but you better call tomorrow." Derrick said.

"I will that is a promise. Now I have to go, I am leaving here bright and
early, you two will be in class by the time I get to Seattle, so I will
call you around 2 pm, that should be about four thirty your time."

"Okay love you daddy." The boys called out.

"Love you both also. And yes Scott I love you too."

"I know that Michael and know that I love you also. Be careful and get home
soon.

"I will take care of my guys for me. Talk to you tomorrow."

"Night daddy. Love you."

The next morning just after Michael had finished breakfast and
checked out of his hotel, an airport courier van pulled up. "Mr. Caine we
have your baggage here for you." The driver stated.

"Thank you, please leave it here with me, I am waiting for a car to
arrive." Michael answered.

"Yes sir, and you have a great day."

"You as well, I hope things get back to normal soon for you people."

"They will, sir."

As soon as the van had left Michael's car arrived. Looking at it
Michael could only smile. Though the car was black, the make and model were
something that would make any young man happy. Packing his bags into the
trunk Michael sat behind the wheel of a 2015 Dodge charger. He was just
about to start the car when he saw a young man walk out of the hotel in
army BDU's.

Hoping back out Michael walked over to the man. "Excuse me sir, but do you
need a ride?" Michael asked.

"Yes, I was hoping to fly into Seattle this morning, but the flights are
still canceled."

"Well if you wish, you could ride with me, I am headed that way. We should
be in sometime tonight."

"That would be great, I was going to surprise my parents and little
brother. You see I just spent two years in Afghanistan and they don't know
I am coming home."

"Then all the more reason we should get going.

The drive from Boise to Seattle was going to take us about ten
hours that is with stops for fuel and something to eat. As Michael drove
the two talked about what it was like in the army and how it felt to be
back home. Alex, the young man Michael was helping out explained everything
he could and told Michael that he was just glad to be back home. After a
quick stop for lunch in Kennewick, the two were back on the highway this
time Alex was driving. As the two talked more, Michael started getting an
idea running through his mind, the more he thought about it the more he
knew that he was going to make it happen. All he had to do now was wait
until they got to Seattle. "Alex, do you think you could drop by the Aphex
offices on Monday, I have something I would like your help with." Michael
asked.

"Sure I can do that, what time?" Alex answered.

"Say about ten. Oh yeah wear your dress blues." Michael laughed.

"Okay I can be there."

"Great."

"Want to share what you have going on in your little head?"

"Nope, beside my little head is full of ideas."

"Smart ass."

When Michael and Alex reached Seattle and stopped at one of
Michael's hotels, it was late and both were hungry again. Grabbing their
bags they entered the hotel and walked over to the front desk. Looking
around Michael wasn't pleased with what he saw, the place was starting to
look dirty and un-kept. The desk clerk seeing the two walk in ignored them
both for a good five minutes before walking over. "How may I help you
gentlemen?" He asked snidely.

"Is the owner's suite available?" Michael asked.

"No, it is rented out for the next month."

"I see, who rented it?"

"A Mr. Calbert from Aphex global."

"Is Mr. Calbert the owner of Aphex?"

"I am not sure, why do you ask?"

"That is for me to know. Now I would suggest you get your manager out here
along with your cleaning staff. I also want Mr. Calbert removed from that
suite immediately." Michael snapped.

"Kid I don't know who you are, but I can tell you this, I will not move
anyone from their rooms. As for the manager he has gone home for the night
and we don't have cleaning staff here during the evenings."

"Well I would suggest you call the manager and get his ass down here right
now. While you ate doing that I shall be phoning my lawyer here in Seattle
and start proceedings to sue the staff here. Also I want a room for this
gentleman with meals included, the room is to be complimentary along with
his meals." Michael snarled.

"Just who the hell do you think you are coming in here and making demands
like that?"

Smiling Michael looked at the clerk before answering." Would you believe I
am the owner of Aphex Global and you are treading on very thin ice?"

Turning away Michael called his lawyer and asked him to come to the
hotel and straighten things out, letting his lawyer know that he would be
in the restaurant. Hanging up Michael and Alex walked into the restaurant
and gagged. "Jesus, Michael are all your places like this?" Alex asked.

"I hope not. Looks like I have to get out and do more traveling, this place
sucks." Michael answered. "I have been worried about school, my little
brothers and other things. I never thought that these places would fall
apart." Michael finished.

"Looks like you need someone to inspect you hotels, bring them back up to
the way they should be." Alex said with a smirk.

"Yeah, I do need that, or I could drop out of college and do it myself."

"Don't drop college, especially now since you have a company to run. Heck
if I didn't have a year left with the Marines I would gladly take the job,
but I think I know someone who might like it, that is if she will even talk
with me."

After speaking with his lawyer, closing the restaurant down and
firing the manager, Michael and Alex made their way to their rooms. Saying
good night at their doors Michael closed his and looked at his watch. "To
late tonight to call." Michael thought as he stripped and headed to his
shower only to stop and change his mind when he saw how filthy the bathroom
was.

A sleepless night going without a shower made Michael a very upset
person. So when he entered the lobby and saw Alex there he had to smile. "I
hope your sleep was better than mine." Michael stated as the two walked out
of the hotel.

"Not much, what are you going to do?" Alex asked.

"Well I have no choice but to close the place and start to renovate it,
bring it back up to being the five star that it was."

"That will cost a lot."

"Maybe so, but the place isn't making money in the condition it is in."

"That's true, what about this guy that says he owns the place?"

"I will deal with him Monday at the office. Now where is a good place for
breakfast, I think Mr. Littlebear should be joining us."

"Knowing Jim, he is probably sitting waiting for us at the white buffalo
caf? just two blocks over." Alex laughed.

"How would you know that?"

"Umm. Just a lucky guess." Alex said with a blush.

Sure enough Michael had just walked through the door when the
waitress came up. "Morning gentlemen, Jim is waiting for you in the back."
She said with a smile.

"Oh great, did he order us breakfast took?" Michael joked.

"Actually he did." She answered.

Over breakfast, Michael explained to Littlebear just what he had
planned for the hotel and for Mr. Calbert on Monday, Michael even asked to
have someone from the IRS come out and start and audit on the
books. "Michael, if you're thinking that Mr. Calbert is stealing from you,
then I would suggest getting a warrant to freeze his accounts, but to do
that you need evidence, is there any way you can get it?" Jim asked.

"Sure I could go to the office today and tomorrow and look at the accounts,
only problem there is that I don't have keys to the office here." Michael
answered.

"What about one of the accountants, couldn't you get them to come in and
open up for you?" Jim asked.

"I could." Michael said thinking. "But I wouldn't know what to look for,
and it could take weeks to get the information we need."

"Well it would be a start, in the meantime I will contact someone from the
IRS audit department and get them started. " Jim said.

"Okay, but who is the accounts manager, heck it has been so long since I
was here."

"Maybe you should contact your head office and see if they can tell you
anything?"

"You don't need to, my little sister works for Aphex here maybe she could
tell us?" Alex interrupted.

"Can you call her?" Michael asked.

"I could, hopefully she will talk to me that is if my parents haven't
poisoned her mind."

"Please try, we need answers quickly." Michael insisted.

The O'Brien home:

Lannie O'Brien had just finished her shower and was drying off when
her cell phone twanged. Wrapping her towel around herself Lannie sat on the
edge of her bed and answered it. "Lannie here what can I do for you." She
asked.

"Lannie, please don't say my name, I am with a friend and his lawyer right
now and we were wondering if you knew who the accounts manager for Aphex
here is Seattle is?" Alex asked.

"Of course I know who it is, why are you asking?"

"Let's just say that the owner is very concerned about somethings here and
wants to have a look at things."

"Mr. Calbert could have waited until Monday."

"That's just it Lannie, Mr. Calbert isn't the real owner."

"If that is the case who is?"

"Michael Caine, and Lannie, I can tell you right now Michael is very pissed
off."

"Okay, listen why don't we meet somewhere and talk, there are some other
things you need to know."

"Can you meet us at Aphex, you do have a key right?"

"I should I head the accounts department." Lannie said with a chuckle.

"Okay then say half an hour?"

"Try like forty five minutes, I just got out of the shower, and I have to
cancel some plans I made with Jenny Littlebear."

"Dang sis, I thought you two would have broken up by now."

"Are you kidding, she is the sweetest thing on the planet."

"Okay then we'll see you at the office, by the way say hi to her and her
brother for me."

"I will and see you short bro."

Having dressed and talked with Jenny, Lannie made her way down
stairs to the kitchen where she filled her travel mug with coffee then
grabbed her keys and purse before heading towards the front door only to be
stopped by her father. "Where are you off to this morning Lannie?" he
asked.

"I have a few errands to run and then I am meeting Jenny for lunch."

"Well I just got word your brother is in town so stay away from him, that
faggot is a disgrace to this family and the uniform he wears."

"Thanks for the warning, but he is my brother and if I wish to see him that
is my choice. As for Alex being a Marine, I am proud of him."

"Just remember he isn't allowed back in this house."

"Oh I think he is. You see daddy I been checking things out, and this is
his house, grandfather left it to him, so I would be very careful how you
step because he could put you out on your ass."

With Alex talking to his sister and Jim talking with people from
the IRS, Michael decided to call home and talk to his two boys. "Parker
house place your order when you here the beep" Richie answered."

Richie you have to come up with something new. Are my boys around?" Michael
asked.

"Yeah they are out in the back yard with Morgan and Lightfingers hang on
while I get them. Oh why didn't you call last night?"

"Well by the time I got here and had things in order it was too late, so I
am calling now."

"Good it will make the guys happy."

I hope so."

"Is that daddy?" Cory asked in the background.

"Yes it is he wants to talk with you both." Richie laughed.

"Hi daddy, I miss you, when you coming home?" Cory asked all in one
breathe.

"Not for a while buddy, but soon I hope, things are a mess here right now
so daddy has to clean it up.

"Oh, okay. Guess what, Unca Scott got a new car and he got me and Derrick
some new games and Gramma P is talking about going to Disneyworld and
Mr. Morgan is funny." Cory said with laughter in his voice.

"Sounds like you all have been having fun, but I don't think Disneyworld
will let turkeys in do you."

"Uh huh, cause I am a cute turkey."

"That you are, now you behave for gramma P and Uncle Scott."

"I will, here is Derrick, bye daddy, love you

"Love you to Cory."

"Hi daddy, I missed you last night." Derrick cried.

"I am sorry Derrick, but it was too late to call, I promise you that I
won't miss another one."

"I love you daddy, wish you was home here."

"I wish I was also, but daddy has to work also."

"I know. Will you call us tonight to say good night?"

"You have my word on it, I can't sleep to well not saying good night to you
two. I love you both, now be good and listen to everyone."

"I will, Uncle Scott wants to say hi to you also, but I don't know if I
should let him." Derrick giggled.

"Okay turkey, let me speak to him and you go have fun."

"I will love you daddy."

"Hi Michael, I hope you are having fun?"

"Not really, but that is the way things are. I heard you are spoiling my
boys?"

"Well just a couple of games, I didn't think it would be too bad."

"No it isn't I was just pulling your chain."

"Yeah well?"

"Don't go there, I miss cuddling up to you also."

"I know, but putting that all aside, I think you should know that Heilman's
uncle got bail and Heilman's lawyer file his appeal. Seems like this lawyer
is saying that the judge should not have allowed the taped confession."

"Damn it, here I thought it was all over, oh well looks like things are
back to normal."

"Yeah well, I wish it were Lightfingers seems to be having problems and
Mr. Algraves and his partner are seldom around. Honestly I think you should
see about some other type of security for Cory and Derrick. Morgan is good,
but it is the others that have me worried."

"Okay, let me talk with Sam and Mr. Talbert and see what I can arrange, if
Morgan is that good with the boys maybe he should stay."

"I agree with that, but who can you get on short notice, and remember
Michael it has to be someone the two boys are going to trust."

"You're right there, but like I said let me talk with Sam and Talbert. I
will call you tonight, but I might not have answers."

"That is fine as long as you talk to your boys, I had them both curled up
with me this morning."

"See that shows they trust you." Michael laughed.

"I love you Michael, get home soon and be careful."

"I love you too Scott and I will be, you do the same, I don't trust the
Heilman family."

"That makes two of us."

With the help from Lannie O'Brien, Michael and Littlebear were able
to access the accounts. The one thing Michael noticed were a lot of
payments going out to a construction company. "Ms. O'Brien, where are the
bills for these payments?" Littlebear asked.

"They are in the filing cabinets do you want me to get them?"

"Please do, also do you know where this construction is happening?" Michael
asked.

"No, I have no idea, maybe the bills will show, or there should be a
contract for this." Lannie replied as she dug through the filing cabinet.

The morning was slow as Michael and everyone started going through
bills and accounts. The IRS agent after going through one set of books
finally turned to Michael. "Mr. Caine as far as I can see everything looks
good, however I am going to have to get a court order to do a full audit of
your company here in Seattle."

"Sir I understand that, but I am giving you full authority to do the
audit. I shall close the office here until such time as you have finished."
Michael stated.

"That will work for me, I can have a few more agents work with me so that
we can get this done as quickly as possible." The agent responded.

"Thank you, if you could start on Tuesday that will give me enough time to
inform everyone. The one thing I would suggest though is that you get a
court order freezing a Mr. Calberts' accounts, I have a feeling that when
things are finished here you will find enough to do whatever you have to."

By two o'clock Michael was tired of looking at numbers and
contracts, so informing everyone that there would be a dinner held on the
following Wednesday he left the office and went back to his hotel, where he
took a long hot shower and relaxed. Just after dinner he called Cory and
Derrick and spent time talking with them both before talking to his
boyfriend Scott before falling asleep. Michael knew that tomorrow was going
to be a long busy day and that things could get loud and violent. His
dreams that night weren't of what was happening in Seattle, but of the fun
times that he and his friends and family had shared.
