"Jordon your mother's been in a car accident and has been taken to
hospital. No one could tell me what happened."

Jordon went pale and began to shake when he heard the news, with Geoff
going to his side to comfort him.  Damien spoke up saying, "I'll take the
guys to the hospital while you close up the house and follow us in your
truck.  Does everyone agree with that?"

They all nodded and began to get ready to leave and were soon on the road
to the hospital.  It took about an hour to get there. As soon as the car
stopped, Jordon leapt out of the car almost before the wheels had stopped
turning, running into the main entrance with Geoff hot on his heels.

Once inside the foyer he stopped, having no idea where to go and this gave
Damien and Bentley the opportunity to catch up.  Damien as always was able
to take charge and soon found someone who directed them to the treatment
room, but when they got there the bed was empty.  Jordon began to freak out
automatically fearing the worse.

A nurse took them to a small waiting room. When they were sat down she
explained that Jordon's mother was in surgery and as soon as he had
finished the doctor would be out to see them and explain everything.

They sat there for about thirty minutes before a Canadian Mounted police
officer came in.  He introduced himself as Officer Roy Jenkins. "What
happened to my mother, was anybody else involved and are they all right?"

"No your mother's car was the only one involved and we are now trying to
work out what happened.  Jordon I need to ask you do you know when your
mother last had her car serviced."

"Not that long ago, she always had it serviced as soon as it was due, she
was very fussy about that."

"Do you have the name of the garage where she went to last time?"

"She always went to the same one, Millers Garage, has done her car repairs
for years.  Why all these questions about the car?"

"We're not sure but it looks like a mechanical failure may have contributed
to the accident.  We will be hanging on to the car while we carry out a
full mechanical investigation.  The next question is where does your father
live Jordon.  We will have to let him know what has happened, because while
they are separated they are they are still legally married."

Armed with all the information he needed, the officer left them alone just
as Mr. and Mrs. Fisher came in.  Damien quickly brought them up to date
with what information they knew.  It was then back to waiting for the
doctor and it was another hour before a grey haired tired looking elderly
man came in to the room. "Good evening I'm Doctor Tony Thompson and would
you all like to introduce yourselves."

Damien did the introductions and once they were over the doctor continued
to tell them what was going on, "Mrs. Foster suffered a fractured leg which
isn't too bad and is now in plaster cast, and will mend.  The biggest worry
we have right now is the chest injury she sustained which damaged a lung
and bruised her heart.  I have gone in and repaired the lung as best I can
and we will continue to monitor the heart very closely, I think the
bruising will eventually ease, but we must be very careful."

He then asked if there were any questions and the first thing Jordon wanted
to know was can he see her, "Certainly, she is in intensive care and may
still be asleep. But I would ask that only two of you at a time go in to
see her."

Again Damien took charge and suggested that Jordon and Geoff go in to see
his mom.  Slowly Jordon walked into the dimly lit room and was shocked to
see his mother looking very pale and thin lying there with her eyes closed,
but what freaked him out most were all the tubes hanging from everywhere.
Her mouth, her chest and a couple in her arm, plus oxygen being pumped up
her nose.

Jordon began to cry at the site of his mom looking like that and Geoff put
his arm around his boyfriend trying to give him strength.  Slowly they
approached the bed and just stood there looking down at Jordon's
mother. They hadn't been standing for long before her eyes opened and when
she saw the two boys she smiled.  Hello boys I bet I look a sorry sight
right now, but don't worry I'll be all right.  Now come and give me a kiss

Both boys very carefully hugged her in turn hoping that they weren't
hurting her.  "Mom what happened? You're a very careful driver, so how come

happen and that's the last I remember."

They stayed with her for a few more minutes before a nurse came in and
suggested that his mom gets some rest.  Kissing her goodbye they promised
to come back later in the day.

Back in the waiting room, Geoff explained everything to the others because
Jordon wasn't in the right frame of mind to talk to anyone right now.  They
headed out to the car park and were just driving out when Jordon's father
drove in.  Damien thought it best not to stop and kept going.

It was six very weary people who finally crawled into bed to get at least
some sleep.  Damien and Bentley suggested that if the Fishers would have
them, they would stay on for a few more days to help run the boys to and
from the hospital. "Of course you can, we are so very grateful for all the
help you have given up to now." Said Martha Fisher.

George had already headed for a couple of hours sleep before it was time to
go and milk the cows.  As soon as they climbed into bed Jordon began
sobbing on Geoff's shoulder, clinging on to him and repeating over and
over, "Why mom, why mom?"

His sobs gradually eased and then he suddenly sat straight up in bed
saying, "I bet my dad did something to the car to make that happen."  Geoff
looked at him wondering what the hell he was going on about.

"How do you know that lover, and why would your father do that anyway?"

"To get back at her for what happened the other night, that's the kind of
louse he is and he would do something like that on the spur of the moment
and worry about it later."

"Oh Jordon I do hope your wrong buddy, I really do."

They both lay back down and after a couple of goodnight kisses, fell into a
deep exhausting sleep.

Two FBI Agents came around to visit Fred and this time they were nice and
friendly, but they did give Fred a warning about talking on the net with
young boys, especially discussing sex with them. "While no charges are
being laid against you this time, you did sail very close to the wind
especially with the kid in Ireland.  The Irish Guardia through Interpol
wanted to have charges laid against you but we persuaded them to drop

Fred breathed a sigh of relief at that news as the agent continued, " Every
country in the Western World will be monitoring your computer from now on

Fred thanked them both and assured them that he would heed their advice in
the future, telling them that he had already closed his Twitter account.
The agents left and Fred heaved a sigh of relief.

Miles was busy cooking a meal for his mother when his cell phone rang.  It
was Keith with some exciting news, "I think I've found the ideal place for
you and me buddy.  It not an apartment but a large trailer home not far
from where you live, in fact about two miles away.  It belongs to a Texas
Ranger who is being moved to another part of the state and will be there
for two maybe three years.

He's offered it to me at a nominal rent as long as we look after the place
and keep the surroundings neat and tidy.  It's fully furnished. He's taking
nothing with him preferring to set up a new home where he's going."

"Sounds too good to be true, when can we take a look at it?"

"I thought tonight, as soon as I come off duty I'll call you and pick you
up.  Err, how's your mom is she feeling better?"

"Yes I've just cooked her lunch and she said after that she'll take a nap."
Keith remarked that that sounded like good news and he would see him in a
couple of hours.

Miles went on his computer but Jordon was not around which surprised him
because he normally would get on straight after school.  He must be busy
with his new boyfriend he thought.  Miles then started thinking that yes he
was a little bit jealous of Geoff and yes he did have a soft spot for
Jordon. But now that he had Keith, someone his own age and Jordon had Geoff
the same age as he was, then maybe they could just be good friends without
the complications which appeared to be rearing up when he last spoke to
him.

The furthest thing in Jordon's mind right now was chatting on the computer.
He was worried sick about his mother and the more he thought about it the
more he became convinced in his own mind that his father was somehow
responsible.

They had breakfast at about ten before heading out in Damien's car for the
hospital.  When they arrived they found the same police officer, Roy
Jenkins.

As soon as he saw Jordon he asked if he could talk to him in private and
ask a few more questions.  The went into a small room, sat down and officer
Jenkins opened his notebook, "I believe there was an incident involving
your father out at the Fisher farm the previous night, would you care to
explain in your own words what that was about?"

Jordon told the officer everything leaving nothing out, even including the
fact that he and Geoff were gay.  When he had finished the officer said,
"Well Jordon thank you for being so honest; that took some courage."

"Why did you want to know all about that night what does it have to do with
my mom's accident?"

"Maybe nothing but something is fishy about how the car came to crash and
we are still trying to put together all the pieces of the puzzle right
now."

Out of the blue Jordon blurted out, "You're blaming my father because he
did it didn't he?  I know he did because that's the sort of thing he would
do."

"What makes you say that Jordon? Why do you think your father had anything
to do with this?  If you think he did and can provide proof or know
something you should tell us, you should say it right now."

Jordon thought for a while before answering, "I don't have proof, I just
have a feeling that's all and now could I please go see my mother?" The
officer apologized for keeping him and they walked out together joining the
others on the walk down to intensive care.

Excusing himself Officer Jenkins left while Jordon and Geoff went in to see
his mom.  She looked a lot better than when he last saw her and her face
lit up in a smile when she them, "Come in boys and give me a kiss and a
cuddle. It's so good to see you."

"How are you feeling mom? You look a lot better than you did last night."

"I am. I have a terrible headache, sore ribs and lung.  I have a continuous
ache on my left side but the doctor said he was pleased with my progress
and of course this plaster cast on my leg is already a bit of a nuisance."

"Just take it easy mom and concentrate on getting better." He leaned
forward once more to kiss and hug his mother.

"Your sister will be here shortly, they called from the airport and should
be almost here. She said she had some big news to tell us all. She wouldn't
say what it was but I think I can already guess but I'm not saying
anything."

The boys stayed with mom for a while longer before going back outside to
allow Damien and Bentley to come in.  While they were waiting outside, the
doctor arrived and told Jordon that mom was making a remarkable recovery
considering her injuries, and all being well she will be moved out of
intensive care tonight.

Just as the doctor continued on his rounds Jordon's sister and boyfriend
Eddie arrived and as Damien and Bentley came out they went in. Jordon asked
her what the big news was and smiling she said "I'll tell you after I've
told mom."

The four guys headed down to the hospital cafeteria and ordered some
lunch. Once they had their order and sat down Damien asked about the police
interview this morning and Jordon explained about the suspicious accident
and also his thoughts about his father being involved.

Damien was grim faced when Jordon told him what his thoughts were.  He
advised Jordon and Geoff to watch their backs very closely.

His sister and Eddie joined them not long after and they discussed mom's
condition before Jordon asked what the news was.  "You're going to be an
uncle."

It took everyone at the table a few seconds for the news to sink in before
Jordon jumped up to kiss his sister and hug Eddie as well. "What do want a
boy or a girl?" He asked.

"Doesn't matter, all we want is a baby; we don't care what it is just as
long as it healthy."

Everyone laughed and were still laughing when a figure loomed over their
table, "Well this is a happy little party considering your mother is lying
not too far away in intensive care fighting for her life."

They looked up and there was Jordon and Veronica's father looking daggers
at them all, "Don't worry dad we've all been in to see her and she now
resting and getting better by the minute."  Veronica curtly told him.

"What, you've all been in to see her, even the poofter brigade?"  he
remarked frowning at Damien and Bentley, who was about to get up and have a
go at him except Damien stopped him. Dad you can be so stupid sometimes for
goodness sake leave it alone.  You have a gay son who has gay friends and
now a gay boyfriend so grow up and accept it dad."

Veronica didn't mince words when she was talking to her father learning a

Freddy stormed off while Jordon and Geoff went back to see their mom
wishing her all the best and promising that they would both go to school
tomorrow.

Back at the farm they brought Geoff's parents up to date and Damien said
that they would be heading off home tomorrow while Martha said that Jordon
could stay with them until his mother was back home.  Then she thought it
might be a good idea for the two boys to go home and help his mom get
around the house.

Everyone was in agreement with all the plans and the two boys retired to
their bedroom while Damien and Bentley also said they would like to have a
rest.

"Jordon, there are going to be a lot of rumours and stuff going to be
happening at school when we go back tomorrow about you and I."  He paused
and Jordon wondered what he was going to say next.  "I think we should stop
those rumours in there tracks by coming out and telling everyone we are gay
and we are an item, I'm sure once everyone gets over the initial shock they
will leave us alone.  What do you think?"

"I don't know Geoff I have been threatened so many times over the past
month I'm not sure if we should or not."

"Ok then let's put that question past Damien and Bentley before they leave
as well." Geoff told him.  That was where the conversation ended because it
was time to head down for supper.

Keith picked up Miles and took him the short distance to the home they
hoped to live in for the next couple of years. They were both amazed at how
spacious and also well-furnished it was. "Everything you see in here except
for my wife's and my personal belongings will stay here. All you guys have
to do is look after it for us for a couple of years or more." Keith's
police officer friend told them.

Keith asked about the rent and was stunned when the guys said, "I don't
want any rent, all you have to do is pay for all the utilities, like
electricity, water, trash collection and minor maintenance. Plus if you
like, you can keep on the cable and internet wireless service as well."

Miles looked at Keith in amazement because this was like a dream come
true. Keith immediately said, "You've got yourself a deal."  They all shook
on it before Keith asked when would it be available. "We hope to get away
this Friday so from Saturday on it's yours."

They looked around some more, checked on a few things before heading back
to their car, "That place is like a dream come true and it's not too far
from our mothers which should make them happy and it has everything."

Just as he was about to get out of the car Keith asked Miles if he wanted
to go out later tonight, "I think I'd rather stay in tonight because I

The smile quickly left Keith's face as he angrily said, "Jordon this,
Jordon that is all I hear from you and now you tell me I have to take a
backseat tonight because you have to talk to your precious Jordon.  I'm
getting a bit sick of this Miles.  Am I your boyfriend and partner or not?

I think you should think long and hard before you answer that because I am

"I'm sorry Miles that's not quite the answer I wanted to hear and no I
don't want you to suddenly stop talking to the young guy, but why can't you

good close friends.  After all this can't be doing Jordon's relationship
with his new boyfriend any good either.

I see nothing wrong with all four of us being friends together and maybe

right in everything you say and hopefully we can all be good friends
together."

He got out of the car after arranging for Keith to pick him up in a couple
of hours so they could go out somewhere together.

After supper the two boys Damien and Bentley went into the front living
room to have a chat at Geoff's request. "Ok boys what's the problem and
don't tell me there isn't one because I can tell something's on your
minds." Damien asked.

"Firstly," Geoff said, "We are talking about coming out to our friends and
everyone else at school.  Rumours are already circulating and they do and
will get exaggerated and out of context, so we were wondering if it might
be better to come clean to everyone about our sexuality."

"A tough call guys with a lot for and against.  All that has happened over
the past few days is going to come out and more than likely already is so.
I think yes, maybe you should let everyone know that you are an item."
Damien pointed out.

He continued, "In the first instance and possibly for a week or two life
will be hell but then people will get used to the idea and something else
will come along to take them away from you guys.  It's during those first
couple of weeks that you have to watch your backs and every other part of

you hell and may even try physical violence, so please be very careful."

Bentley continued the advice, "Make sure that you never give them any
ammunition, like kissing cuddling or even holding hands in public.  Just
try to be normal guys, act the same as everyone else."

The boys were taking all this in and nodding and agreeing in all the right
places, "Now what else is troubling you?"

Geoff looked at Jordon and got no expression or help from him so he told
Damien and Bentley about the situation with Miles.  In desperation Damien
said, "I thought we had settled that problem well and truly yesterday but
obviously not.  I'm not going to repeat what I have already said and all
I'm going to add is that when I get back to Toronto I am going to ask
Doctor Winifred Evans to give you a call and talk to you about this."

Jordon hung his head down knowing perfectly well that what he had been told
yesterday was right and he also knew that Dr Evans would tell him more or
less the same thing, "I will talk to Dr. Evans Damien and whatever she
tells me I will abide by I promise you that.

I know that what you are telling me is true and I love Geoff with all my
heart but I feel I do need help to stop thinking of Miles as a sex object
and more as a friend."

Smiling Bentley grabbed Jordon in a hug saying, "Know you're thinking on
the right track Jordon and once you've straightened your mind out and
decide to make total love with this lovely young man here, you will feel
the love flowing between the two of you which I know is there.

I've seen the way you both look into each other's eyes and yes it is true
love just like Damien and I have. Please Jordon don't lose that love or you
will lose a man who loves you dearly and I expect will love you for the
rest of your life."

While Bentley was speaking the others listened with open mouths.  Damien
said, "Wow Bentley I've never ever seen you speak so forcefully and make
sense at the same time."

They all laughed at that remark and the tension eased considerably. Damien
suggested a group hug before they went back into the kitchen to join
Geoff's parents.

Later that afternoon the mounted police investigation department had
finished the examination of Jennifer Foster's car and the report was now on
Officer Roy Jenkins Desk.  He went into his superior with the report
telling him, "It appears that the brake line on the car had been
deliberately cut through so that once the brake fluid had drained away,
Mrs. Foster would have been left with no brakes.

They examined where the cut had been made and the knife used had a small
piece of metal missing from its cutting edge and that is the knife we are
looking for."

His inspector examined the report then said, "Do you have any suspects?"

"Well both of the Foster children claimed that they wouldn't put it past
their father to do something stupid like that, so I would like a search
warrant for his farm and his car to see if we turn up the knife used.
Being a farm it could be anywhere, in an old barn or where ever so it'll be
a bit like the old proverbial needle in the haystack."

Once he had obtained permission for the warrant, he requested a dozen men
to go with him to Foster's farm early next morning armed with the warrants.

Miles was getting most frustrated, it was almost time for Keith to arrive
and still no Jordon on the internet. Then out of the blue Skype began
ringing and there he was, "Hi man I've been worried about not having heard
from you all weekend, what's been happening?"

Jordon sensed right away that the sexy talk was gone which perhaps was for
the better because he was on Geoff's computer and he was sitting right next
to him holding his hand.  Jordon went on to explain all that had happened
including his mom's accident and the debacle on Friday night with this
father.

Miles was devastated at the news, plus when he told Jordon about him and
Keith moving in together he was sure it made his young friend even more
upset.  Just then a car horn sounded outside signalling that Keith had
arrived to pick him up so he had to cut short the conversation.

Jordon didn't look too happy when the chat ended.  Geoff grabbed him spun
him around in his chair so that he was facing him, "When are you going to
fucking realize that he's in his late thirties and you're a fucking
schoolboy who lives thousands of miles away in another country making the
situation between the two of you impossible.  Wise up to yourself Jordon.

Look, Miles now has a boyfriend on his own doorstep plus it looks like they
are going to make a go of it as a couple and you have a dumb fucking idiot
sitting here right next to you who loves you dearly and also wants to spend

Getting into Keith's car Miles made the mistake of telling his boyfriend

all. Miles tried to smooth things over by telling Keith all the things that
had happened over the weekend and this eased the situation somewhat.

Then Miles did exactly what Geoff had done, got right into Keith face and
kissed him full and hard on the lips.  Mind you they almost had an accident
because they were driving down the freeway at the time, but it did the
trick and they both finished up laughing like crazy.

"Where are we going Keith?"

"Oh I don't know, I thought we might pick up a pizza and a six pack and
then see what happens."

Once they had the supplies Keith continued driving and Miles had no idea
where they were going, they were on the outskirts of town in an area which
he wasn't familiar with. For quite a while they were going uphill and then
Keith suddenly stopped produced a blindfold instructing Miles to put it on.

He protested at first but then decided to go along with Keith's little
game.  They drove for about another fifteen minutes before the car stopped
and Keith moved over closer taking the blindfold off.  Miles was speechless
when he looked out and saw the whole of the town and beyond spread out
before with lights twinkling and shining everywhere below them.

"Where are we? This is wonderful, I never knew a lookout like this existed.
It's so beautiful and peaceful."

"This is right on top of the mountain. Behind us is the communications
centre for all our government agencies which is why I knew about it. Our
own police communications tower is up here as well.  Now who wants pizza
and a beer?"

Next morning Damien and Bentley dropped Jordon and Geoff off at school
before heading back to Toronto.  "Are you guys cool with this coming out
bit with your school friends?"

"Yes we think so, the rumours going around have more than likely beaten us
to it anyway." Jordon pointed out.

"Well if you need us you know we are only a phone call away and Jordon
expect a call from Doctor Evans sometime tomorrow.  Before we leave we'll
call in and see your mother, now let's really start the rumours going with

They turned around to find Betsy standing right behind them with what can

Unbeknown to them and most of the school for that matter Freddy Foster's
farm had been raided by the Mountie's several hours earlier catching
Jordon's father still in bed.  Armed with Warrant's they began searching
the farm and his vehicle for the knife which they suspected cut Jennifer
Fosters brake cable on her car.

Fred was furious calling them all the names under sun and finally he had to
be restrained and put in to the back of a police car.  It took them over
four hours of searching before the offending knife was found hidden in a
bucket of chicken feed right at the bottom.

Police officer Roy Jenkins thanked the dozen guys searching for being so
thorough, before he placed Jordon's father under arrest and had him taken
away to a cell prior to being interviewed.

By midmorning recess, everyone in school knew about the arrest and when
they gathered with their friends that was the main topic of
conversation. Jordon whispered to Geoff, "Now might be a good time to tell
them about us seeing as they are more interested in my stupid father right
now."

Geoff nodded and Jordon said, "Guys we have something important to tell you
and we decided to talk to our friends first before the rumours hit the fan
so to speak.  Geoff and I are now officially boyfriends because we are both
gay and in love."

Both of them kept smiling and looking into each other's eyes the whole time
Jordon was handing out the news. There was silence after his announcement
with several of his close friends looking at him as if he had gone mad.

Archie his best friend and the one he kissed when they were drunk was the
first to break the ice. "I always thought you were Jordon and
congratulations man on finally coming out to us.  No wonder Betsy looked so
wild and savage earlier. I suppose she knows?"

Jordon nodded as Archie came up to shake both of their hands saying; come
on guys don't look so stunned, that took a lot of guts to come out and say
that and I think it's great."  Reluctantly and slowly his friends came up
to wish them luck, a couple adding that they'll need it.

By lunchtime the whole school knew about it and as soon as they found a
seat to eat lunch Archie came up again asking, "Does your mom and dad
know?"

"Yes moms known for a while now even before I met Geoff, and dad, well I
suspect that's why he did what he did with mom's car."

All their friends sitting around reckoned that was a dumb stupid thing his
dad did and he could have killed Jordon's mom.  Jordon was feeling a little
disappointed that none of his friends were including Geoff in the
conversation and while he was quite content to sit here next to his
boyfriend, Jordon was getting pretty well pissed off by this.

Secretly squeezing his hand, Geoff, as if he could almost read his mind
mouthed the words, `It's Ok I understand'.  Jordon hoping no one was
looking mouthed the words back, `I love you'.  Archie came up sitting
between them quietly saying, "I love you both as well for what you have
done today and I'm sorry Geoff but I kissed him first."  Then he added,
"Mind you I had to be drunk to do it."

All three of them laughed loudly and all the others wondered what the joke
was but no one let on.  Archie continued, "I'm not gay and never will be
but I love you two.  I've always loved Jordon as a very close friend and I
hope that will continue and with you as well Geoff."

"Of course it will." Geoff told him, "Any friend of Jordon is a friend of
mine, except maybe Betsy Merryweather." More laughter just as the bell rang
for the afternoon session of school.

Meanwhile Freddy was put into a prison cell for a couple of hours for what
Roy Jenkins referred to as a softening up.  Then he was taken to an
interview room were Roy and another officer interviewed him.  For the first
couple of hours Fred denied any knowledge of how the knife got were it was
and why his wife's brake line was cut and so on, plus his version of events
of what took place on the Friday night at Geoff's parents was entirely
different to everyone else's.

Finally after four hours of non-stop questioning, he finally broke down in
tears admitting everything. Roy Jenkins asked him why. "Because my wife
allowed my only son to become a faggot and not only that, encouraged him to
have faggot friends and now he's even got a faggot boyfriend.  Do you
wonder know why I went off the deep end on Friday night when they all
settled down all nice and cosy for dinner with my wife and those two so
called responsible parents sitting down with a bunch of queers.  Then
allowing my son and his poofter boy fucking friend to sleep together?  Come
on we are all men of the world here who like women and beer, would you
allow your son to do perverted things like they do?"

Roy Jenkins surprised Fred by replying, "My brother is one of those so
called queers as you call them and you couldn't wish to meet a nicer guy,
and his boyfriend will do anything for you, even give you his last dollar
if you asked him for it. Also they have been happily married, Yes, married
for twenty five years now."

He turned to the other officer saying, "For fucks sake take him out of my
sight before I do something which will ruin my career.  You're the one
who's a sick bastard by trying to kill your wife just because you have a
gay son."

Miles and Keith spent several hours high on the mountain looking down at
the city before them or up at the thousands of stars in a crystal clear
cloudless sky.  Nothing much was said and apart from making out from time
to time they sat there enjoying each other's company.

Finally Miles broke the silence saying, "I realize that I've been a bit of
a fool with Jordon and it took you to point it out to me to bring me to my
senses.  I like him Keith and I think he needs someone to talk to from time
to time but I'm going to make it clear that it will only be a friendship
and nothing else."

Keith turned to his lover kissing him passionately before saying, "That's
the most sensible thing you have said for a long time darling, and I love
you for it.  Now what we say we head off home before I screw you on top of
this mountain."

Laughing they drove back down the track and home where Keith kissed him
goodnight promising to see him tomorrow.  Miles very quietly entered the
house but noticed his mom's light was on.  Knocking on her bedroom door he
went in to see her propped up in bed reading, "You ok mom?"  He asked.

"Yes son, I had a bit of pain but I feel much better now.  Did you and
Keith go anywhere interesting tonight?"

He explained that they went to the top of the mountain and described how
wonderful the view was.  "That's good son, while it will take me a while to
get used to the idea, I think it's wonderful you now have someone to spend
the rest of your life with.  I was worried that you would be a lonely old
man when I departed this world but I can now go to my maker anytime knowing
my son has company."

"I love you mom." Miles said before kissing her on the cheek and bidding
her goodnight.

Geoff got out of school before Jordon because a couple of teachers wanted
to know all about his mother's condition and while he was waiting outside
for not only Jordon to come out but his mother to drive up to take them to
the hospital, the redneck hockey team came along in force.

"Well look who we have here guys, one of the school's queers, without his
bum buddy."  They all laughed at their leaders' jokes and it didn't matter
if they were funny or not.

They all gathered around Geoff slapping their fists into their hands to
make them look tough, do you know what we do to homos in this neck of the
woods? No, well you're soon going to find out isn't he guys?"

"If any one of you lay one fucking little finger on him you'll wish you'd
never been born." Spinning around to see who dared make threats like that,
they found about fifteen of Jordon's classmates standing there all slapping
their fists into their hands to make them look and sound tough.

Once the rednecks saw that these guys meant business plus the fact they
were outnumbered they soon backed down, "Hey guys we were just joking, we
wouldn't do anything to a nice guy like this."

"That's fucking bullshit and you know it." Archie said, "Now piss off,
before we do you physical harm and don't you dare speak or do anything to
our new friend here understood?"

Mumbling among themselves they began to move off just as Jordon came out to
join him.  Geoff walked across to Archie stuck out his hand saying, "Thank
you guys, I think you just saved my life."

"That's what friends are for Geoff." Archie replied looking a bit
embarrassed.  All the other guys in turn shook Geoff's hand before heading
off.  His mother had also arrived and while they walked towards the car
Geoff filled Jordon in on all that had happened.

"Well it looks like our class room friends have accepted us for what we
are, let's hope the rest of the school does the same." Jordon said as they
got in to the car for the short ride to the hospital.

As soon as they walked into the room which his mother had been moved to
they noticed that she had been crying. "What's the matter mom are you in
pain, as something gone wrong, why are you crying?" Jordon wanted to now.

"It's just your stupid idiot of a father who has now been charged with
attempted murder and a whole heap of other charges. If he goes to prison
we'll lose the farm because there will be no one to look after it."

They both hugged her as she continued, "he's always been one to do stupid
things without thinking and suffer the consequences afterwards but this is
the last straw.  While I don't live out at the farm anymore it is just as
much mine as your fathers and the plan was for it to be our retirement fund
when we got too old to work or look after it but all that looks like going
down as well if he goes to prison which I am sure he will."

"Don't worry mom, just you concentrate on getting better and don't even
think about the farm right now. Is dad still locked up?"

"No he got bail late this afternoon so the farm is okay for now, until the
trial."

Geoff spoke for the first time. Yes Jordon's right, don't worry mom, can I
call you that?" Jennifer's smile indicated yes as Geoff continued, "I'm
sure my dad and the two of us as well would be able to manage the farm if
he did go away to prison."

Jennifer began to cry again touched by the words Geoff had spoken, "You
boys and your family Geoff are so kind and loving I wish my marriage had
been like that.  Thank you so much for your offer but shouldn't you check
with your parents first?"

"There's no need Jennifer, I heard most of what my son had said and of
course we will support you, that is what friends are for. Whatever my son
offered we will help."

Jennifer continued to cry quietly and the boys hugged her until it was time
for them to go because Martha had received a phone call asking if Jordon
would be available for a phone chat at a certain time.

They didn't tell Jennifer about this because they didn't want her to have
something else to worry about.  On the way out they met the doctor and
Jordon asked how his mother was doing, "She could be better young man, the
bruising around the heart is not going away as quickly as it should because
of the stress she is under right now.  We are unable to keep her blood
pressure down because of what happened regarding the accident and anything
you can do to ease her mind would help right now."

"My sister and I along with our friends here will do everything we can to
get mom back to her normal self."

He thanked them before continuing on his rounds. While they headed back to
the farm to get ready for Jordon's phone call.

Dr.  Winifred Evans called right on time and greeted Jordon in a warm
friendly way, "I don't normally talk to people via the phone preferring to
chat face to face but I have no option this time.  Damien filled me in
regarding what has been going on and you have a lot of worry right now
Jordon and I feel for you and your family.  The important thing is not to
give up, hang in there and remember you have friends everywhere willing to
listen and help."

Jordon thanked her and at the doctors request brought her up to date on
everything that was happening including coming out at school to his friends
and how surprised he was that everyone accepted him and Geoff as being gay.

"That's wonderful Jordon I am happy for you both. Now what is happening
between you and Miles.  Why do you want to continue your relationship with
an older man many miles away when you have a loving partner your age right
next to you at this moment?"

"I don't know Winifred, I fell in love with Miles and he was the first
person I did fall for.  I have feelings so strong that I don't want the
sexual part of our relationship to end. I love Geoff here very much but I
can't in my mind break the bond that exists between Miles and me."

"Jordon you have to get these ideas out of your head right now and
concentrate on making your relationship with your new boyfriend work. Now I
know Damien will have explained all this to you so I don't intend to repeat
what he said but consider looking upon Miles as a good friend who helped
you when you were lonely and desperate for someone to talk to.

It now time for you to move on but remain friends. I'm told that Miles too
now has a boyfriend that he hopes to stay with and if you persist with your
dream of making him the first you will ruin not only two lives, yours and
Geoff's, but also Miles and his new found love. Now surely you don't want
to destroy four lives do you?"

Tearfully Jordon said, "No that is the last thing I want to happen."

Laughing the good doctor replied, "Well, we have reached an agreement on
one thing anyway.  So many people love you Jordon and are batting for you
in your corner, don't do anything silly and ruin all that which right now
is precious to you.

Anyway enough of the lectures and I must go because I have another client
waiting for me. Remember Jordon if you do have problems or worries about
anything in the future please contact me or Damien or any of your friends
who you think will be able to help."

Once the call was disconnected Jordon sat there for quite a while going
over everything she had said knowing full well that she was right.  He went
back upstairs to Geoff's bedroom finding him lying on the bed just staring
at the ceiling.  Without saying a word he went to lie next to him almost on
top of him and kissed him long and hard, "I love you Geoff Fisher and would
dearly like you to make love to me tonight."

Geoff kissed him back but that was as far as it went because his mom called
up to tell them supper was ready.

Over supper they discussed what they could do to help Jordon's mom if his
dad goes to jail and both of Geoff's parents assured him they would do all
they could to keep the farm going, "We may not like your father but we love
the rest of your family and will help all we can."  George Fisher told
him. This brought tears to Jordon's eyes.

Meanwhile Fred was back surfing the net but staying well away from his
young friends on Twitter and Facebook.  He didn't see either Miles or
Jordon on line and was feeling lonely and a bit sorry for himself so he
entered a general chat room something he had never done before.

He watched the comments and silly chatter that was going on between the ten
or so people who were on line.  Most of it he thought was rubbish, until
one lady who called herself "lonely Sheila" sent him a message, "You're
very quiet, would you like to have a private chat with me and let me see if
I can cheer you up?"

The first thing Fred thought was that this was a standard come on line for
someone who maybe was looking for a bit of cybersex. He thought about the
offer and decided why not, he can always disconnect anytime he wished.

Once they went private so no one else could see what they were writing,
Sheila told him that was her name and she then went on to tell him that her
husband died two years ago and since then she has had no friends to call
real friends and no living relatives.

Fred explained that his situation was very similar and he too was a very
lonely person.  They began chatting telling each other's life story and
before they knew it almost four hours had past.

They then discovered that they lived only about three hours' drive away
from each other. When they finally called it a night, the sky was already
beginning to lighten and they parted promising to chat again later in the
day.  Fred felt strange after spending the night talking to a total
stranger and revealing parts of his past to which he had told no one else.

Meanwhile Jordon and Geoff had headed for bed and began making out right
away both of them getting hot and excited firstly blowing each other
swallowing the others juice until Geoff whispered, "Are you ready to go
that one step further?"

And Jordon said ...

Writers corner,

Ok before you say anything rude about me what a terrible cliff hanger to
leave you with.  The story itself concentrated more on the problems of
Jordon this time, and boy does he have problems.

Let's look at them one by one.  First he has this fixation about wanting
Miles to be the one to take his cherry and this is impossible, it will
never happen and if he's not careful he will lose the love of the young guy
who loves him dearly.  While everyone has spoken to him about this, have
they finally convinced him that what he wants is wrong? I hope so and we
will find that out in the next chapter.

Secondly and I think just as important was his mother's accident. His
father must be the most stupid and dumbest Redneck on earth.  He has a
lovely family who while he gives them a hard time they do love him and
tolerate him.  He has now thrown all that away just because he couldn't
handle the fact that he has a gay son.

I hope that his mom gets well soon and stops worrying about everything
because she has enough people around to help out.


Thirdly, both boys were surprised that when they came out of the closet at
school apart from the few Rednecks on the hockey team they were accepted
for what they were.  It was only natural that Betsy his long-time girl next
door friend would be upset because she was sure she had her hooks into
Jordon and I can only imagine the ribbing she would get from the other
girls at school after she had been bragging that Jordon was her's.

Miles and Keith? Well their relationship appears to be coming along
smoothly and the home they have for the next two years sounds like a dream
come true. Keith did display some jealousy over Miles and Jordon and quite
rightly so.

Finally Fred.  Has he found a new friend and will they be able to get
together and become close friends so that neither of them will be so
lonely?

All these questions and many more will be answered in future chapters so

Jack's Jottings:

Although Trevor has summarized the chapter beautifully in a about a page of
text, I am so glad that he devoted nearly 18+ pages to provide the details.

I think we all suspected that Jordan's father was the person responsible
for the accident.  Someone who is so prejudiced and stubborn is just
incapable of rational thought, and will never be able to think through his
or her actions to the ultimate consequences.

Well we can all relax just a bit now.  Jordan's mother is slowly
recovering, and now that she knows she has lots of support behind her, I
think her recovery will proceed nicely, at least I hope so.  We can all be
happy for Jordan and Geoff.  Jordan appears to have fought his demon
regarding Miles, and both Jordan and Geoff now realize that they have true
friends who will back them up if necessary and help to protect them.

I was hoping for a bit of a scene with Miles and Keith up on the mountain.
It would have been great to have the car windows steam up a bit, but we
will just have to wait till perhaps the next chapter for that and for
Jordan and Geoff to take their relationship to the next level.
