The Many Faces Of Samuel
Chapter 4
"Only the Beginning?"
Sam's P.O.V.

His lips were so soft and his body shined brighter than the
universe. I melted into his arms as we kissed softly on my bed. We kissed
and cuddled for what seemed forever, but was only two hours time. Sleep
beckoned over us and our homework was not done. As I tossed and turned, I
had the feeling of someone watching me. Quickly, I arose only to see Randy,
my friend since kindergarten, the guy that has not cried since he fell off
his bicycle in elementary school, the guy I kissed only moments before. He
grinned like that cat from "Alice in Wonderland", which was quite amusing
to see. The sun was about to set and it's colors could be seen through my
bay window.

Randy crested my cheek and lips with his finger, preparing for another
kiss. He gently got on top of me and kissed me forever more.

He stopped and gazed into my gazed into my eyes saying, " If I'm dreaming
I'd rather not wake up. I've had many "nice"...hehe...I mean "nice" dreams
about us doing this."

"So you mean I have been the object of your desire? The hardon, the cause
of your morning woodies? The white stuff that.........."

"YES, Sammie.....hehe...you are my heart and soul. I love you....I really
do....But........."

"But what?"

"How are we going to hide this? Do you want to hide?"

"I don't know really. My mom might blame herself for it, but it's not her
fault, no one's really. She would be kewl with it, I know she would."

" You know I was thinking the same thing. My parents on the other hand,
might have a problem at first, but they are better than that."

"Better than what?"

"I mean better than people like homophobes. You know, the kind that
murdered Matthew Shepard"

"Oh you mean that movie that was on MTV a few years ago?"

"Yeah......hehe...your'e cute when you think"

Mrs. York's/Narrator's P.O.V.

Around a quarter to eight o'clock, Mrs.York arrived home from a hard day's
work. She walked into the living area wondering why Samuel and Randy's
books are the floor.

"Hmm..Homework without books? I learn new things everyday."

She started for the kitchen when something caught her tired eyes. It was a
picture of Samuel's father. Tears stream down her middle-age face as she
remembered the love of her life. No other man could take the place of her
heart.

"Oh Richard.....Not a day passes that I do not think of your crazy
jokes....hehe...Samuel has inherited every part of you."

Mrs. York heard laughing from up stairs ,so she starts up to see what is
all the commotion is about.

"Samuel! Randy! What's so funny? Watching reruns of MadTV again?...Boys?"

She wonders why they are not answering, which makes her mind wonder many
things. Often she wonders about Samuel's sexual orientation, not that it
matters to her. For about a year, she has prepared for whatever Samuel may
tell her. The only thing that worries her is that people could hurt Samuel
or even worse, kill him.

Finally, she reached Samuel's bedroom door, but not light is up under
it. Slowly, she turned the knob, proceeding into his room.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"She should be coming in right now Randy", whispered a cautious Samuel.

"Ok, I'm sure glad that you heard her car pull up when you did"

"Yea..I know...."

The door is opened by Mrs.York and what her eyes see registered with shock.

"Awww, look at my two babies!!!!"

"MOM!!"

"What Samuel?! Can't I call you two babies anymore?"

"Yes you can Mrs.York. OOfff!!"

"Samuel! Don't hit poor Randy! he looks tired. I'll call his parents and
tell them that he is staying the night over."

And with that, she walked out to make the phone call leaving the two angels
to converse between each other. Randy reached over and crested Samuel's
cheek. All he could do was smile brightly at his new found love. Another
kiss was exchanged and the two went to bed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day was bright and sunny, which is unsual for the Windsborough
area. The fall leaves covered the ground like snow in the Artic. Visions of
yesterday, or should we say last night, beckoned upon Samuel and
Randy. They woke up extra early just to have extra time to make out before
school. Mrs. York looked at them strangely, because she knew Samuel has
never been up early for school since kindergarten. Nonetheless, he even
made everyone breakfast, not Friuty Peebles, for her and Randy. Something
was up and she wanted to get to the bottom of it. As usual Jessica met at
Samuel's house, so they could walk to school. By her surprise, she did not
expect Randy to be there before her.

"Omigod! Randy, what are you doing here so soon?" said Jessica.

"I stayed over last night. Why do you look so surprised?" said Randy.

"I don't know, maybe because you are always late"

"You don't say?!"

"Yes, I say....hehe"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

About a hour later Randy and Samuel are right next to each
other in their English class. The teacher, Mrs.Tuttle, is going over the
story of Romeo and Juliet. Usually, the boys would be bored with any of the
stories Mrs.Tuttle would go over, but this one caught their eyes. The
romantic story of two teens who fall madly in love seemed to intrige Randy
the most. After for about 30 minutes of lecturing, the rest of the class
was left with nothing to do but talk amongst themselves.

As soon as the bell rang, Randy and Samuel immediately left for privacy in
the school's deserted courtyard. For a while they just stare and giggle at
each other, not knowing what to do. Randy then tilted his head to the side
biting his lower lip.

"Sammy?"

"Yeah Randy."

"Umm remember that story in English class?"

"Oh, you mean Romeo and Juliet?..Yeah I loved it...Kind of sad
though....Why?"

"I was just asking"

Randy then blushed turning away from Samuel. Samuel wondered what was going
through his mind at the time, so he asked what was it.

"What is it Randy? Why did you ask about the story?"

He looked directly into Samuel's eyes with seriousness as he did the
morning before, asking, almost searching into his soul.

"Would you do that for me Sammy?"

"Do what?"

"Would you want to live, even after I died?"

"I don't know. Never really thought about it any. Would you?"

Randy then looked around to see if anyone was looking. As soon as the coast
was clear, he kissed Samuel softly on his sweet red lips.

"What was that for? I asked you a question, not for a kiss...hehe..horny
little.........."

"That kiss was your answer. If you didn't catch on, it meant a "yes". "

"Awww...your sooo....soooo"

"What? What?!"

"So...such a drama queen!!!"

"Oh yeah, well..this drama queen's ass you can kiss!"

"Is that a promise?"

"Could be."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lunch rolled around a few hours lately leaving the two anxious to
go home soon. As the both of the walk towards the cafeteria, someone
pinched Samuel on his butt saying "Nice pair of buns you got there
son". They both turned around with looks of worry upon there faces, only to
find that it was only Jessica.

"Boy you two looked a bit too worried."

They bothed shoke it off with a laugh as they entered the doors of
the lunchroom. Standing in the lunch line, Jessica notices a huge
difference in Sam and Randy's behavior. Her mind was saying "Something is
not right", but her heart said that it was nothing too serious. Still, in
her mind, she knew something big has happened.

As they all sat at their table, immediate silence beckoned among
them. Jessica breaks the silence with a shocking line.

"Are you mad at me Randy?"

"Why would you say that Jess?"

"Because I pinched your boyfriend Samuel on his butt"

Samuel nearly choked on his chocolate milk when he heard her say that. They
both look at him and then finish conversing.

"Boyfriend? What's that supposed to mean, Jess?"

"I don't know, but Sammy over there looks a bit shoke up."

"He always plays with his food, you know that."

"Not talking about food. I'm talking about you two."

Samuel then stepped into the conversation.

"Jess, really, why would you think such a thing about us? We never keep
secrets from each other."

"Oh yeah? Then tell me what were you two doing in the courtyard?!"

The looks on Randy and Samuel's faces both registered in fear. For their
little secret, their newly found secret romance has been uncovered. Or did
someone else see them in the courtyard also?

"I'm waiting, so what is it?"

A voice from behind spoke saying "I know the answer and it is quite
interesting".

They all look back to see who it was.....................

Well that's the end of Chapter Four! I hope you enjoyed the story so
far. It was really hard writing this chapter ,because there is alot going
on in my life right now. But don't you all just love my cliffhangers?
Hehe. This to me is sort of like a gay teen soap opera and you all haven't
seen anything yet. More characters and more chaos will turn up in the lives
of Samuel, Randy, and Jessica. So stay Tuned!! If you have any comments
