RECAP- Last chapter Tanner (Mr. T) and Aaron made a visit to Kyle's school.
Aaron trying to mess with Kyle's head by appearing around him and then
vanishing and leaving him confused; Tanner by getting a job as a guidance
counsellor to get as close as possible to Kyle. On a happier note Kyle and
Dan found out that they were both strikers and had been together once before.
The chapter ended with Teddy telling Kyle he had bad news. Really bad news
and that's where we will pick up.

[ Kyle's POV ]

I looked over at Teddy; he was driving and had a serious look on his face
that had me really worried. My phone rang. I looked down at it to realize
Kevin was calling.

"Hi Kev, what's up?" I asked.

"Nothing just didn't see you today, missed you. I'm here with Li. Wanna come
over? We are going to have a movie night." He said excitedly.

"Ok. I'll tell Ted." I said, as he said goodbye.

"What did Kev want?" Teddy asked, for the first time not blushing at the
mention of Kevin's name.

"Oh there's a movie night at Li's. What's up with the cold shoulder at
Kevin?" I asked.

"He's dating someone." Teddy said as he kept on driving just looking at the
road.

"He is not a mind reader Teddy. He can't know how you feel, if you don't say
anything." I said, slightly pissed.

"Yeah. Like it would be easy for me to tell him and besides he's dating Connor
Mathews. That's way too much competition for someone like me." Teddy said his
eyes watering as he swallowed hard.

"How can you say that? You are as cute as a fucking bunny and ...shit...
You're the best guy I know. You're way smart ... quirky at times, but it just
makes you endearing. If Kevin doesn't see you that way, then maybe it's for
the best. Why not get yourself out there and find someone new?" I asked as we
arrived at my place. He parked.

"Maybe, but come on who would come on to me...? With my looks" He says with a
long sigh.

"Hah! I know Calvin Dane looks at you like an oasis in the dessert" I said,
smiling.

"Yeah, but Calvin is Calvin. He isn't that smart and I don't like brainless
guys." Teddy said unbuckling his seat belt.

"Calvin was one of your best friends in kindergarten remember?! He never
forgave me from stealing you away... and he's super hot now. He's in P.E with
me. Washboard abs...Yummy. He may be a little bulky, but he is football team
linebacker, he has to have that build" I said getting a little hot and
bothered. Calvin is actually really hot.

"Yeah but his grades are pure shit and I don't think we could ever talk about
something interesting... ever" Teddy said seeming rather stressed.

"Throw the poor guy a bone. He's always staring at you like a hungry animal
and he and Kevin are the only guys on the football team we know for sure are
gay." I explained trying to get him out of his Kevin love cycle.

"Why do you keep pushing me to get out there? I'm in love with Kevin and
knowing he doesn't even look at me in that way hurts. Why don't you just let
me wallow in self pity for a while?" Teddy said in tears.

"I don't let you wallow in self pity because I'm your best friend. I know you
think of yourself as an average guy, but you are so much more and if Kevin
isn't meant for you then go find a guy that is! Besides do you really think
that dating someone extremely smart like you would make you happy? Like
that's what matters? Besides the best couples are opposites. Who knows you
might end up learning from someone like Calvin" I said as he sighed.

"Ok. I'll try not to be as cold to him. No promises though. Thank you. Now
out with the mushy stuff, we need to talk." He said with the dead serious
tone.

"God, Ted I don't know how much more I can handle. I'm having too much shit
thrown at me in life." I said trying to plead for him to give me the night
to relax.

"This can't wait. It's too important. Let's go up to your room." He said
walking out of the car. I did the same and we rushed up to my room after
telling my mom we were going to spend our night at Li's for a movie night.

"So? What's so important?" I asked hopping onto my bed. He grabbed his
shoulder bag, took out his laptop, plus the laptop I got from the last
mission and set them both down on my bed. He opened his and typed quickly. An
image of an Indian looking couple appeared on the screen. There were names
above them as he clicked.

"This is it...This couple... The male, well he went on a mission one day. He
was assaulted, resulting in him becoming unconscious for some time. Well, he
woke up in a hospital bed and couldn't remember what had happened at all. He
recovered in about a month and a couple days later he was discharged. Soon
his wife announced that she was pregnant. She lost the baby though, to
unknown circumstances. She was just three months pregnant." He said with a
serious expression.

"I'm not getting where you are coming from..." I said rather confused.

"They are from Atlanta... in India! They're a couple like your parents. You
know how many more histories like that exist in the Atlanta data base?" He
asked as he typed some more, the screen kept scrolling names downwards.

"500 couples, out of millions of agents is small... only 500 couples. It's
odd isn't it? The couples live so far away from each other, it seems almost
intentional. As if it's meant for them never to meet. Out of those 500
couples, let's look the statistics: every male was attacked on a mission;
everyone woke up in a hospital bed; he got his wife pregnant a couple weeks
after his recovery and the baby didn't make it past 4 months. Every single
couple! To me that is NO coincidence! Most couples felt awfully randy or
well horny after their accidents. Why? I have my theories." He said as he
opened the other computer.

"I still don't get it. Yeah it's odd, but what does it all mean?" I asked
trying to piece it all together.

"I think Atlanta was conducting experiments, experiments on their Strikers.
The best ones they had. Out of those 500 couples they were all high ranking
agents and had great genetic standards. It's like they picked out the best
and experimented with every male. All the doctors that the agents from
Atlanta go to are from our company. They could easily change results or
inject aphrodisiacs into one of the couple's blood stream. Making them horny
enough to get their wife pregnant within a month and if the baby dies the
doctor can pass it off as a sudden death. Telling them something went wrong
during the pregnancy. It can be a lie and one would know." Teddy said as his
eyes softened.

"M-m-my Dad?" I asked with a gulp.

"That's what I came up with. I was confused. Why were all the latest missions
to find scientists? Well I investigated the scientist we had to capture last
time. He worked at Atlanta, got out a couple months ago and leaked
information he wasn't supposed to, to someone... dangerous. Remember his
computer? Well in his computer I could barely pass the firewall and many
defences, but I was able to unlock one folder. It has blueprints." He said
clicking into the only folder in the whole computer. Images of a machine like
device appeared. It was kind of like a huge chair with many wires coming out
of it.

"What is that?" I asked already feeling lightheaded because I was starting to
piece it all together.

"It's a gamma injector. This machine injects gamma rays into the blood
stream, a special type of gamma that can be passed only to the offspring of
the one who was injected. Every single one of the males of the 500 couples
had these slight marks on their wrists. Needle marks, as if they were
injected with something. The blueprints of the machine show that the needles
are actually inserted through the wrists. My guess is Atlanta sent certain
couples with good enough genes into a mission situation. They sent the male
and knocked him out, injecting him with gamma rays. Once they finish they
passed it off as an accident on the mission. Then the doctor administers an
aphrodisiac into the man's blood stream. To ensure the fact the couple try to
have a baby. Once the woman is pregnant the baby usually doesn't make it past
4 months that is until" He said looking at me.

"Aaron" I said as my hand covered my mouth in shock; thoughts where swimming
all around my head making me feel as If I was about to throw up.

"Yeah. Aaron was the first baby to be born. If I'm right, then he is the
first experiment that went right. Then they tried again on your parents, but
they changed the target. They must have realized that men give the seed to
get a woman pregnant, but the child lives in its mother for 9 months. So
they took your mom this time. She went through the gamma injection process
unknowingly. They injected her with aphrodisiacs and she got pregnant with
you. The gamma rays must have entered your body in a better and more
efficient way since you lived in an environment with gamma rays all around
you for 9 months. Do you see where I'm going?" He asked as he walked closer
to me.

"I'm an experiment... or the result of an experiment?" I asked with anger
suddenly rushing through me.

"Aaron was the first 15 year old in all Atlanta history to make it to rank
10. The gamma ray that they used on you is, I suppose, gamma x. It enhances
human capacities up to 7 times. Aaron was stronger than most agents. He was
sent to a mission and vanished. My guess is he was captured by someone who
wanted to exploit his power. You... You are stronger than Aaron. You are
special. You are different from any of us." Teddy explained and my mind
clicked at his words.

"Different... Special... That's what..." I had to think for a split second
"ALEX...In the tree house! I was there and he climbed up drunk. That's what
he told me! He told me I was special. I was different and they were meant to
protect me. That he wasn't supposed to fall in love... Do you think he might
know??? Do you think he might be an agent as well?" I asked the shock showing
on my face. I could barely believe what was going through my head.

"He must know. You should speak with him as soon as possible. I could barely
get this information from the Atlanta database. I doubt I can get anymore"
Teddy signed.

"What the fuck is wrong with Atlanta?! They experimented on my parents? Isn't
that illegal? We have to tell someone...Government or something." I was
freaking out.

"NO... You have to play smart Kyle. We have to play smart. Go with the flow.
Follow whatever orders we get until we are sent to the mission Aaron vanished
from. We need more answers and we will get them along the way. We just have
to be patient. Then... we will see what we can do." Teddy said as he closed
his computer.

"B-b-but I have to tell my parents... They were treated like lab rats for
God's sake!!! They have to know" I said standing up.

"They will try to face Atlanta and get killed if you do. You can't do that!
If you told them all of this they would assume that Aaron must be alive which
may be the case, but we're not sure. Remember how hard it's been on them?" He
said as I sat down trying to breathe.

"I can't believe it... I feel... used."

"So do I. We have to keep cool though and you have to talk to Alex as soon as
you can. Let's go to Li's we need some time to relax, but we are not
done with this yet. We will come up with a plan, I promise you. I promise."
Teddy said reassuringly as I hugged him.

"I know you will. You are my Teddy" I said smiling as he hugged me tight.

"By the way I'm going to need clothes for school tomorrow. We are sleeping at
Li's and I didn't bring any from my place. So you have to lend me something
to wear since we are leaving for school, from Li's."

"Ok! We are practically same size so... I know!" I said smiling and walking
to my cabinet. I took out a long sleeved tight forest green v neck, some
light brown jeans with sexy boxer briefs and a brown watch to match.

"That's way too tight for me" He said eyeing the clothes.

"Well your eyes are forest green and you'll look hot! Calvin is gonna shit
his pants when he sees you!!! I'm up for that." I said excitedly as Teddy
rolled his eyes and grabbed the clothes placing them neatly in his shoulder
bag. I took out my clothing and cologne with deodorants for me and Teddy
along with my toothbrush and his as well. He always keeps one at my house.

As we walked down to the living room I saw my parents, they were watching a
movie. My mom was lying on Dad's lap looking up at him making funny faces. My
dad looked down lovingly and stroked her face, leaned in and kissed her with
love. They looked at each other, the light from the TV shinning on
their faces. They looked with this light in each other's eyes, as if they
were saving each other's worlds with just a look. My dad brushed the hair out
of my mom's face. I saw a scar on his wrist. It was definitely from a needle.
I am not going to let this go by like that. My parents aren't lab rats. I'll
make sure of it. I walked to them.

"Night guys I love you both." I said as I hugged dad and kissed mom's forehead.

"Night hunny" Mom said smiling, as I walked out to the door.

"Night son... Finally some time to have some good old naughty fun." He
whispered to my mom as I was heading out of the room.

"You guys are sooooo gross!" I screamed from behind the door as Teddy doubled
over in laughter.

"That's the way we made you hunny, it's beautiful." My mom said laughing
loudly. She opened the door as we were going down the porch steps.

"I swear to God I'm gonna end up scared for life" I said as she smiled and
laughed. She handed me a pan with food inside.

"That's for Kevin."

"Ohh Dad, your woman is cooking for another man!" I said as my Dad looked at
my mom with a pout.

"And quite a man he is too!" My mom said winking.

"You are so childish" My father said looking away from my mother with a
serious sour looking face.

"I love you honey. Let me cook for you if you want then" Mom teased.

"That's how I like it" My dad said smiling wide again.

"Avocado Pancakes!!! IM A GENIUS" Mom said as dad groaned. Teddy and I just
walked off to the car.

"They are a great couple." Teddy said as he pulled out of our driveway.

"Yeah... They are a great couple" I repeated.

"I wish that I could find someone that makes me that happy." He said as we
drove along with the night sky looking beautiful, the streetlights gave a
faint yellow light to the sidewalk and a nice cool breeze stroked my face
softly as we drove.

"I want that too" I said as I closed my eyes and leant back on my seat
thinking about how much more fucked up my life could get. I turned up the
music. `Shake it Out' by Florence and the machine was playing. I was
smiling at the song as we parked on Li's driveway. We got in and said hi to
Li's parents and bolted up the stairs. The very large, Double Queen sized bed
in Li's huge room was decorated half pink and half blue. She always changed
the covers like that when we were over, so boys on the blue and she had the
whole pink side for her. Her bed is a double queen sized, round mattress.
Pretty cool!

"You made it! Hurry up! We are about to watch ... Well we have Easy A, The
Mummy, V for Vendetta, Black Swan or Devil wears Prada." Li said smiling at
me in her pink PJs that had white bunny's on them. Kevin smiled he was
wearing his Buzz Lighyear PJs. He loves that guy! I swear he is like a little
kid at times. Oh what the hell, if you can't be yourself with your friends
then they are not true friends.

"Okay! Can't wait" I said jumping between them bouncing slightly.

"Me too...!" Teddy said running and jumping on top of me making me grunt, as
we all snuggled under the covers. Li turned off the lights and pressed play
on the plasma TV. We watched passing around the popcorn of course. I was just
in my boxers by now, can't sleep with too much on. Teddy was wearing full PJs
just like the other two.

"Love you guys" Kevin said as we all started watching the movie, we all had
this silly smile for each other.

"Not another group hug" I said rolling my eyes. As I saw Li hug Teddy and
Kevin tight. The three of them looked at me.

"Come one emo boi... You need some luvin." Kevin said teasingly.

"I'm so not hugging you." I said looking back at the movie.

"Well then you asked for it!" and I felt all three jump up at me and hug me
tight making me squirm until I finally gave in into the laugher and got cosy
with my friends... my best friends.

"Here. Mom sent it for you. They're different flavoured cupcakes. Avocado,
Beans, Pizza flavoured and Bacon with cheddar" I said going green in the
face. He took the Beans cupcake and bit down into it. I swear his face turned
almost orgasmic.

"Ohhhhh...YEAH!" He groaned as he bit it. "Dude your mom is a culinary
GENIUS" He said as we all made disgusted faces at him and turned to the
movies. The night ended with only 3 movies seen and all tangled up in a
sleeping mess.

When we woke up it was nearly 7:00 in the morning, so rushed to get ready.
The last one was Teddy; he was still sceptical about the clothes that had I
picked for him, so he spent loads of time in the bathroom looking at his
outfit trying to make it feel right. He walked out and I saw Li's eyes bug
out a little and Kevin did a double take. He looked hot. It was tight on him,
like tight enough to see his nicely shaped pecs and 4 pack, the sleeves
marked his small, but well formed biceps. The light brown jeans nicely hugged
around his waist and the boot like shoes where really stylish on him. He
ruffled his light brown curls. Flawless bone structure with green eyes and
his eye glasses rectangular and sexy. He looked like a friking model.

"Am I not the master of clothing?!" I said smiling as he blushed.

"You... look good" Kevin said awkwardly, as Teddy smiled at him as if he had
the approval of freaking Santa.

"Yeah soo sexy... Didn't know you had that bod" Li said smiling wide.

"Well can we just go?" He asked as we all nodded and went off to school.

By the time we got there we barely made it in time for class. The first
classes were slightly boring, but I held on like a champ. By lunch I made a
point to go look for Alex. I spotted him talking with his friends at a
cafeteria table, so I walked towards them rearranging my hair a little to
make it cover my forehead fully.

"Alex... Can I speak with you?" I asked as he looked me up and down, he
nearly licked his lips but stopped himself as he looked at his friends who
were looking at me like I was a freak.

"What for...?" He asked, looking at his friends with a look that said I don't
know what this freak wants.

"Please just come" I said as he sighed and stood up.

"Be careful dude...Cum in his mouth." A guy said laughing as Alex laughed
along.

"Will do" He said laughing louder making his table bellow in laughter. I held
back my anger as we went into the hallways. I dragged him into a closet. He
looked at me and pushed me against the wall. He kissed my lips roughly and
seductively.

"Is this what you want babe?" He asked "I knew Danny boi wasn't enough for
you." He said as his lips touched mine leaving a tingling feeling that begged
for more of his deadly kisses. I pushed him off.

"No... I want to know. That time in my tree house, when you where drunk. You
said I was special. Different from you and your job was to protect me? What
did you mean?" I asked as his eyes budged out.

"W-w-what do you mean?" He asked gulping.

"You know something right? I know you work for Atlanta too. I figured it out
with Teddy." I said as he looked down, gulping loudly.

"It's not what you think. I'll tell you, but I don't think you will like it."
He said as he rubbed the back of his neck.


[ Teddy's POV ]

I walked through the school halls. A couple people looked at me like they
really hadn't noticed me before. Sad thing is I have an anxiety disorder and I
could never handle having attention laid on me like that, it was always a major
problem. with me. Makes me shy to speak in huge crowds, and makes it impossible
to confess to Kevin that I love him. So after enduring all of the stares
through every single class, I couldn't handle stares in the cafeteria as well
so I decided to hide myself in my own personal kingdom. The Library! I sat
down at one of the tables in the back of the bookshelves where no one sat.
After awhile I got into my book. I was reading `Catcher in The Rye when I heard
a rough deep voice.

"Hey Ted." The voice said. I looked up to see Calvin Dane looking down at me.
He was rubbing the back of his neck rather shyly. I noticed that he was
wearing a black shirt with his varsity jacket and Kyle was right, this guy is
really hot! He is kinda big, maybe too big; probably 6"3, and 250 pounds. He
was chubby as a kid, but I also remember he was soo cute. He still has that
cute face. Manly with a boyish charm to it, but now he isn't chubby at all.
Quite big in the muscles department; you know the kind of guy who is not just
ripped, but thick! I mean like he fits perfectly in a doorway, if he was a
little wider he would have to walk sideways just to get through.

"Hi Calvin. What's up? I asked as he sat down in front of me. He looked
almost comical in that smaller chair and low table.

"Nothing, I just saw you leave the cafeteria. Didn't think it was you. You
look... Stupid" He says as he looks me up and down. I felt confused.

"Stupid? Why?" I asked feeling a little offended.

"Yeah ummm... You don't look like normal Teddy. You look stupid." He said
again firmly.

"Really..." I chuckled "but people have been looking at me like I'm good
looking all day." I said feeling really pissed now.

"Yah... I don't like it when you get that much attention. I wanna be the only
one that notices you." He says softly looking down. You see Calvin might not
be that bright and is quite dim witted, but he is very sweet and actually
kind. Sometimes out of place and asks a lot of questions, but he isn't that
bad. Not retarded or anything. He just thinks working out must be a priority
over studying.

"Ok...the only one that notices what?" I asked feeling my cheeks flush
slightly.

"You... Like Imma ha...hate it when some other dude is gone and looking at
you. Likes you is some meat or something... I wanna be the only one who knows
you're cute and...and all that" He says gulping as if he had been waiting for
this big moment a long time. I gulped and looked at the desk.

"W-we. I... Thanks" I said mumbling as I looked continued looking down.

"I really think you're great. You are smart. You cares bout people. I
remember when we were just lil kids... You told me `It doesn't matter if
you're a genius, as long as yous nice and gentle, I'll still like you'
Remember?? Well I've been trying to be nice and gentle. Do charity stuff and
all, but you don't like me. Why?" He asked tilting his head slightly.
Something struck a chord in me. I remembered that, he was sad because someone
had called him dumb fat Calvin... and I told him that. I told him if he
stayed gentle not letting people taint him with their anger and stuff that I
would always like him.

"It's not that" I said feeling under the spotlight.

"Are you wit Kyle?? I'd understand if you had a guy." He said with
disappointment.

"Kyle is just my friend. My best friend" I said as he sighed in relief.

"So that means if I keeps being good and gentle you'll like me someday?" He
asked again, but this time there was a light in his eyes. I don't know why,
but my eyes watered slightly.

"Yeah... I guess that's right" I said as he smiled triumphantly like if he
had finally deciphered me.

"Then I'll adopt 10 puppies" He said with seriousness. I smiled; he was so
cute in such an innocent way. I couldn't help but stand up and walk to him.
I hugged him and he froze.

"You're cute" I said as he hugged tight.

"You're cuter... like a Teddy. Maybe that's why your names Teddy." He said as
he hugged me tighter and tighter.

"I can't breathe" I said softly as he chuckled and lowered me down. I looked
up at the big guy with such a big friking heart. I couldn't help but lean
upwards and kiss him. His lips pressed down on mine with passion. Then he
retracted abruptly.

"Shit... I had planned our first kiss many times... I wanted it to be better
than a library." He said looking disappointed.

"Don't worry. It was just perfect." I said as he hugged me tight and set me
down again.

"Do you um want to go out on a date with me?" He asked looking nervous.

"Yeah, yeah I think I do." I said as he tried to contain his smile.

"YEAH!" He said loudly, his deep voice resonated through the library. I felt
a stir in my stomach at seeing someone so happy to just get a date with me.
It was surreal. We talked about the date and set it for Friday and it would
be on the beach. He said he had it all planed years ago already. Maybe I
should really give Calvin a chance. How can I just think about one guy, when
another one can make me so happy in such an unexpected way? I don't know why,
but I had a good feeling about Calvin. His arms around me felt right. Too
right.

About the author!

Well hi! It's me, Andy. I'm the author of this story, and I hope you are
liking it so far. In most e-mails you seem to want to know stuff about me,
like my age, hobbies, etc. Well, I'm 18 years old, I enjoy writing, as you
can imagine, I love writing poems and songs, and well, express myself through
words. I want to be a Doctor, my favourite colour is blue, I looooove ice
cream, my favourite movie is Easy A, and my favourite TV. show is Friends!!

I love Chandler, and well, I kind of have his sense of humour and that
