My St. Patrick
Part 7
By Cody Moore

Disclaimer** Yes, I decided to write again on my story. It took a while,
and reading my story on Nifty again after all this time to motivate me, but
I finally got the motivation to write the next epic installment of, 'My
St. Patrick'. Gotta love the humility. Anyway, I do not own anything
copyrighted or trademarked and strongly advise anyone who's breaking the
law by reading this or the below material to leave the page and hope that
you're not important enough for the government to react to you being on
this website. Cuz, you know, they do monitor our computers. Americans
anyway. So now, here it is. I present to you...

My St. Patrick Part 7.

Sean

It was warm. I was warm and comfortable. I breathed deeply a scent
that I couldn't place. I didn't care. It smells great. It reminds me of
safety and summer rain, and happiness. It reminds me of... Cody. I opened
my eyes and immediately saw flawless, smooth, and hairless skin. I realized
that my arms were wrapped around something warm and moving. I leaned back a
little and realized that the thing I was holding was Cody. There was a spot
of sweat on his chest from where my breathing had warmed it up. He was
sound asleep, his deep breaths, the only sound. He looked beyond
beautiful. His covers covered us till just above the waist, but I could
tell we were naked. Both of us.... On his bed.. In his room.. In his
house.. HIS HOUSE!!! SHIT!! HIS MOM!!

I jumped up in shock and wound up rolling off the side of his bed,
pulling the covers down with me. Cody stirred, breathing in deeply.

"Cody!" I half whispered/screamed. "Cody! Get up!" I got up and
started pulling on random peices of clothing. "Get up!" I told him again
and threw the covers on him. He looked around groggily before setting his
eyes on me and smiled.

"Morning." He said sweetly. "What're you in such a hurry for?" He
asked, sitting up on his bed.

"Cody! Do you know what time it is?!" I whisper-yelled at him. He
searched around on his bed for a second before finding his phone.

"It is-s.. ten thirty." He looked up at me for a second. Then he
yelled. "TEN THIRTY!!! What the hell?!" He sprang up from his bed like it
had grown a set of fangs or something and started pulling on his underwear.

"What time does your mom go to work?" I asked him.

"When she works she gets up at like, 5:30." He said while pulling
his shirt over his head.

"What do you think the chances are that she didn't decide to walk
in to say goodbye to us while we were asleep?" I could hear my voice strain
a little with stress. My mom is going to kill me. Oh God, what am I going
to do?

"Considering we remained asleep, she probably didn't. My mom's
fairly open-minded, but I don't think she's open-minded enough to walk in
on her secretly gay and naked son and his secret boyfriend while they're
both asleep in each others arms without screaming." That calmed me down a
bit. But only long enough for a new surge of fear to rise to my stomach.

"What if she did? What if she's over at my mom's house right now?
What if my mom knows? Oh God. I'm dead." I felt like I was going to throw
up. Cody walked over to me and wrapped me in his arms.

"I won't let anything hurt you, Sean." He looked me in the eyes,
hazel and emerald coalescing. "I promise." I could tell he meant it. I
allowed myself to melt into his embrace and wrapped my arms around him as
well. He was My Cody. My protector. My guardian.

"Anything? Not anything?" I knew it was childish, and hell, I could
hear the little kid in my voice, but I asked it anyway. The side of my
cheek was pressed against his chest. His head was resting lightly on top of
mine.

"Not one thing in the world."

"Asteroids aren't from this world." I pointed out.

"I'll blow it up." He answered.

	"What about a murderer?"

"I'll shoot him." He answered matter-of-factly.

	"You don't have a gun."

"I'm a second-degree black belt in Tae-kwon-do." He answered again.

"He has a tank." I countered.

"Stay in his blind spot, then open the hatch on it and kick his ass
in there." He laughed a little.

"You have an answer to everything." I told him as I tightened my
arms around him. Like a freakin' supergenius or something.

"For you. I always will." He put his hand in my hair and just sort
of ran his fingers through it. "Soo..." He let the word hang in the air.

"Soo... What?" I asked. What was he asking?

"What do you want for breakfast?" He asked me.

Cody

I cracked the eggs into the skillet, earning a delicous sizzling
noise. The english muffins were in the toaster and the sausage was frying
in a smaller pan on the other burner. I like to eat healthy and everything
(hence the english muffin) but sausage patties were my weakness man. It was
lean cut at least. Sean was sitting at the table, tracing circles across
the wood. He looked like he was thinking of something. The muffins popped
up. I put them onto a plate and scooped the eggs onto them. I double
checked the sausage to make sure it was done. I'd eaten some undercooked
sausage once, I don't think I've ever had food poisoning that badly. I put
them on there and put the other half of the muffin on top of
that. Perfect. I took the plate over there and set it down next to Sean. I
sat in the chair to his left. No sense dirtying up two plates.

"What's wrong? Aren't you hungry?" I asked him, nudging the plate
towards him. My breakfast was already in my hand. I let him have the
plate. "Come on. Eat up." I told him.

"What do you want for your birthday?" He asked while taking his
muffin. He didn't look me in the eye.

"My birthday is not 'till April 23rd. What are you worrying about
it now for?" I asked him. I wonder why he's worrying about that?

"It's just... I want to get you the absolute perfect
gift. Something really special." He bit into his muffin.

"All you need to do is show up. You are the only special thing I
would even think of asking for for my birthday." Great. He's making me feel
like a total douche for not getting him something special for his birthday.

"Besides being totally corny, that would look a little weird and
suspicious."

"What would?" What on earth is he talking about?

"Me, showing up to your party with a bow on my head." Haha. He
would think of something like that.

"I think that would just make my day."

"Okay, seriously, what do you want?" I wish I could make him
realize that he didn't need to get me anything. However, thinking about
it.... What 'do' I want? I pondered for a second.

"You know what I would kill for?" I don't know why I'm telling him
this. It's not like it's a valid idea.

"What?" He seemed a little curious... Now.

"I want you." I told him. "I want you and I to go somewhere as
boyfriends." I helped him along with his thinking. "I want to go on a
date." It's the only thing that I can think of. The only thing I want.

"'That's' what you want for your birthday?" Sean sounded
surprised. "Are.. Are you really planning on being out by then?" I could
hear hints of uncertainty and fear in his voice.

"What? No. Hell no! I just want to go on a date." That is
ludicrous. Why on earth would I take my second favorite day in the year and
destroy it by coming out. He has to know that I wouldn't do that without
consulting him. It would pretty much be a package deal. If I came out, he'd
probably have to too. And there's no way I am going to do that to him.

"Well, how are we supposed to go on a date then? Don't you think
it'll be a little obvious? What if we run into someone we know?"

"It'll be something innocent, yet fun and datelike. Like mini-golf
or... just a general night out. I'll ask my mom if we can go do
something. She'll ask if I want to bring anyone with me. I'll say you. All
I have to do after that point is arrange a way to have mom leave." We both
shared one of those, mutual understanding, 'Good luck with that',
looks. "It was a good idea."

"How about," Sean said as he got up from the chair. "you let me
handle everything. It's not very much of a gift if you plan the whole
thing." He took the plate and put it in the sink. I snuck up behind him as
he put it in there. He jumped when he turned around.

"I'm never gonna get used to this." I told him, smiling.

"Get used to what?" Sean asked, the most cute puzzled look crossing
his face.

"This." I whispered as I came forward and down, caressing his lips
with mine. Sean sat there with his eyes closed after I'd withdrew. He
opened them, smiling up at me.

"Good. That means we get to keep trying to get used to it." He said
as he got up on the tips of his toes to lightly touch his lips to mine. It
felt like an electric connection ran between us, the circuit point at our
lips. "Come on." He said impishly as he withdrew this time, grabbing my
left hand and pulling me towards the living room. I stopped about halfway
there.

"You don't expect me to let you do everything, do you?" I said
playfully as I picked him up in my arms like a couple of newlyweds on their
honeymoon.

"Talk about sweeping me off my feet." Sean said, arms wrapping
themselves around my neck. I walked over to the couch and sat down, Sean
sitting on my lap.

"What should we watch?" I looked over to see him smiling deviously.

"Personally, I think we've done way to much movie watching
recently." Sean said as he came forward and gave me a teaser kiss. Lips
just lightly moving against the others, before pulling away.

"So what did you have in mind?" I asked him, putting on a flirting
tone as I pulled him down so that he was laying on top of me.

"Oh, I have a few ideas." He said as he moved up to give me a quick
kiss. "But not any that require laying down. So get up lazy bones." He said
as he rolled off the side of the couch and ran up the stairs to my room.

'Wonder what he's up to.' You know, I got through the entire
morning without you bothering me. 'That's why I have to make up for lost
time.' I hate you, you know. 'No you don't. If I left one day, you'd miss
me.' It would be a hell of a lot quieter. 'And we don't want that, do we?'
I guess not.

Sean came running down the stairs, so I sat up. I was just about to
ask him what he was doing when he threw my shoes at my feet. "Come on. We
can't spend all day inside."

"Sure we can." I retorted, though I still put on my shoes. "What,
exactly, are we doing?" I was almost scared to ask.

"Well, first, we're going to go play some basketball. Maybe we'll
take a walk in the woods. I'll make lunch. Since you made
breakfast. Possibly we'll bike around for a bit. Just an average day." He
looked up from tieing his shoes to look at me.

"In that exact order?" I asked him, teasing him.

"No. Not necessarily. My bikes not here though." Sean's voice got
quieter toward the end.

"How'd you get here yesterday then?" Surely he didn't walk the
whole way. 'It's only a mile.' Yeah, but in the condition that he was in,
plus it was dark. 'Still only a mile.' "Did you walk?"

"I didn't set out here from the start." Sean said, his eyes getting
one of those deep, pained looks. "After.. you know, I went out the door. I
told my mom that I was going to go ahead up to Cody's. After I was out of
sight of the house, I ran. I ran into the woods and just kept running. I
wanted to be alone. I ran for what must have been ten minutes without
stopping. I stopped in a clearing and broke down crying. I mean... I knew
that my mom was set against us from the start. But that outburst had
brought what seemed like the full brunt of a blast of righteous fury down
upon me. I felt alone." He didn't look up at me. He just sat there, staring
at the floor.

"I promise you, Sean. You are never alone. I am always there with
you, even when it doesn't feel like it." He still didn't meet my eyes. "I
felt it, you know." He inclined his head towards me, slightly. "When you
were hurt. I felt it. I was asleep in my dad's truck, when I started
dreaming. I dreamt that I was cold. My limbs were heavy and my breathing
ragged. I couldn't see, hear, or breathe. I felt like I was going to be
swallowed up by the darkness. Then your face blew up in my vision, and I
woke up.... I knew that something was wrong." His eyes met mine and they
were tearing up.

"Af-f... After I got my bearings, I realized that I was in the
clearing down at the bottom of your hill. So, I started walking up to your
house. I probably got about twenty yards away from your front door when
your mom came outside and asked me what I was doing outside at this time of
night. Then she realized that I had been crying. I guess my eyes were puffy
or something. She told me to come inside. So I got in there and she asked
if I wanted to talk about it. I said no, and I asked when you would be
getting back. She said that you were already on your way. So I went up to
wait for you." He messed with his shoelace. "Your mom came up a couple
times to see how I was doing. I told her that I just needed out of the
house and to please not tell my mom that I was out this late, or that I was
crying. She said she wouldn't say anything. She sat down beside me and told
me that if there was anything that I needed to talk about, just to call
her." He smiled a little. "Your lucky, Cody." He got up and came over to
me.

"Don't I know it." I said as I got up. "Follow me." I told him as I
walked out my door. I walked down our walkway and over to the garage. I
pulled my bike from leaning against the wall and got on. I motioned for
Sean to come over and patted the handlebars. "Hop on." I told him, smiling
from ear to ear.

"People are going to see us." Sean said, though he still got on. I
leaned up and whispered in his ear.

"Let them look." I said as I pushed off and began the ride to his
house.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I really like the whole, riding on the handlebars, thing. I think that was
cute. Anyway, I know it took a while, I sort of, lost interest, for a
while. But then I remembered why I had wrote this story. I remember the
feeling that I got from being able to share this with the world.. Or, at
least the part that gets on, Nifty. R&R to johnmeyerz36@yahoo.com
