Subject: Noah & Jaden-13

School had just ended. Signs of Fall were definitely here. The leaves
changing color, the huge drop in temperature, the level of homework. The
whole thing.

But this time, I mean school had just ended in the day. Jade & I were just
about to separate, me heading home, him off to his first GSA meeting.  The
school administration had approved of a GSA at the school & it was now a
club.

Jade, me & our friends were all talking outside the building before the
buses left.

"Isn't your first gay meeting in a few minutes?" asked West.

"It's not a gay meeting you moron, it's a gay-straight-alliance meeting"
Jade replied.

"Whatever. It's still crawling with fags & dykes" West joked.

"Watch it, will ya ?" Jade retorted.

"Oh c'mon you know I'm just playin'. Anyway, tomorrow, tell us who else is
in it, ok?"

Jade rolled his eyes. "I'm not telling you, it's not your business. Plus,
if I tell, then rumors might start whether or not they're gay & that's not
cool."

"In the future, I'm gonna prove that theory, that a boy who joins GSA is
gay" West stated.

"How?" I asked him.

"I'm gonna be a psychologist & have a Ph. D."

"More like a Ph. D-" Colin said. We laughed, except West.

"Well, you know it's true" he said.

"You on crack or something? It's not true. Many times it is, but not always
you stupid shit" Alex responded.

"Whatever. I gotta go. See ya guys tomorrow" West said just before walking
towards his bus.

As the engines of the bus were turning on, we all started going our own
ways.

"So call me when you're done & tell me all about it, ok?" I told him.

"Definitely. I'll come over later & we can hang out" he said grinning.

"Your version of hanging out isn't the same as mine. But ok" I said. He
leaned in & kissed me.

"Jade! What are you doing!?"

"What, nobody was looking."

"How do you know?"

"Ok so I'm guessing. Anyway, I'll come over later." He walked away with a
smile & a small wave.

Mark:

I was standing about 100 feet away, waiting & watching for Jade to hurry up
& get to our first GSA meeting. He was talking with his friends who were
getting ready to leave. So I just waited for him.

Then everybody left except Noah. Shocking.

But then, it really WAS shocking. He leaned forward & kissed Noah right on
the lips. My eyes darted around to see if anybody else had seen it except
for me. None. Jade then began walking this way while he turned around,
smiled & gave a slight wave to Noah. I made it seem like I was just
standing there not doing anything.

"Oh hey Jade" I said casually when he was near me.

"Hey. Guess we got our first GSA meeting, huh?" he asked.

"Yup. I'm pretty excited actually. What do you think they're gonna talk
about?"

"Not sure. So what's up Mark?"

"Eh, not much."

"Nothing at all?"

"Well, I saw you & Noah a minute ago."

He stopped walking & just stared at me with wide eyes, the color of his
face drained.

"What'd you see exactly?" he questioned.

"You kissed him."

"Oh, that. It was nothing, just fooling around you know."

"I know, fooling around" I said. Definitely they were fooling around.

"No, Mark I mean, like, not like that I mean. I...whatever" he sighed. He
just gave it up.

"Dude, it's ok. We're going into GSA in a minute, you can tell them all
about it."

"I can't Mark, I promised Noah I wouldn't say I had a boyfriend &
especially I wouldn't mention him. I can't just say stuff he wouldn't
like."

"Fair enough. Let's go now."

We arrived in GSA a minute later. Jade & I were the only boys from our
grade, but there were a few girls we knew. All the other boys, around 6,
were from the other grades.

We all sat in a circle & introduced ourselves.  All the boys except one
senior & Jade mentioned that they were gay.  I kept glancing at him,
noticing that he kept fidgeting. He was uncomfortable. But at least he made
the first step, which was joining GSA, so that was some progress.

"So Jade, are you gay?" asked Katie, another girl in our grade.

"Well, I guess it's kind of weird. I notice that there ARE some good
looking guys in the school & I figure that a lot of guys who consider
themselves gay would like them. So I guess that I'd like to support them in
the fact that they should feel free to like anyone they want.  That's why
I'm here."

I laughed on the inside. He completely avoided a real response. It was
funny. But I guess it's just an easy way to help him.

"Plus, he loves his boyfriend" I spoke for him. He gave me a death
look. Guess he didn't want to mention that.

"But I don't know who it is" I said, trying to make up for it.

I looked around. Everyone was also looking around. They knew. Jade just
glared at me, trying to murder me with his eyes.

>From that, we just went around the circle & explained why were there & if
we thought we were gay.

Jade was going to have a difficult time eventually coming out of the
closet.  But I could also tell that when it happened, it'd definitely be
worth it.

Noah:

I was watching Avatar when I heard the door open. I figured it was Jade.

"Noah."

It wasn't Jade's voice so I turned around.

"Um, hi Mark" I said, Jade was next to him. They were standing in front of
the door.

"Mark asked if he could walk me home, so that's why he's here."

"Ok."

"Thanks Mark. Kind of weird stuff back there. I mean, weird for me, I don't
know about you" said Jade, sounding sarcastic.

"I'm not weirded out at all. Anyway, I'll see you guys tomorrow. Bye!" Mark
said, leaving the house & closing the door. I looked over at my
boyfriend. He gave me a stupid grin.

"Oh my God Jade, you told them about us, didn't you?" I said with a sour
face.

"For your information, no I didn't. But Mark caught me kissing you
earlier..." he said shyly.

"Oh nice going. We already got one dumbass in this country making stupid
decisions without thinking them through, we don't need another."

My words were cold, I could tell because Jade had a hurt look on his
face. I didn't mean to be mean about it...

"No, Jade..." I stood up & walked over to him & wrapping my arms tightly
around him, massaging his back a little.

"I didn't mean it like that."

"I know, I know. And I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that...kissed you in
public. I won't do it again until we're BOTH comfortable."

"Ok.  Well I'm comfortable now..." I said, swaying lightly in his arms. I
looked up & kissed him lightly on his warm moist lips. I loved kissing him
so much. But unfortunately, my gut wouldn't let me do it in public. But
here, it felt so natural & nice. Every movement of his lips I could
feel. We didn't use any tongue. It wasn't a passionate kiss, it was just a
loving kiss. He tasted so sweet.

"I have to go now, but I'll talk to ya later, ok?" he asked me, still
holding me in his arms.

"Yeah." He leaned in & kissed me again on the lips. Amazing, as usual.

He walked towards the door, opened it & was about to leave.

"Hey, um Jade?"

He turned around to face me.

"Yeah?"

"You didn't...tell them about...'us', did you? Like, they don't know,
right?"

"Right" he said, turning & leaving, closing the door behind him. Just as I
saw the last of him, his face was sad.

They knew.
