"WE'RE GONNA MISS THE BUS, NOAH! GET UP!!!"

I could feel somebody aggressively shaking my shoulders up & down. How
could ANYBODY stay asleep with THAT happening?

"Wha...?" I sleepily opened my eyes. Lately, I had been thinking a lot
about that day a couple weeks ago that we were nearly caught at Dade's.
Was that a sign? A sign that we could actually be caught & be "kicked
out" of society?

Jaden was right on top of me, shaking me like he was trying to get me to
snap in half. Seeing as it was only him, & knowing the fact that I must
have still had awhile to make the bus, I closed my eyes to drift back
into my dreams, which now had his name written all over them.

Suddenly I felt his hot, wet lips against mine. He shoved his tongue into
mine with such ferocity that I felt mine was pushed to the back of my
throat. He swirled his around mine, feeling everywhere. I then felt his
hands roam over my bare chest.

They tickled the two light brown dots on my chest rhythmically. They
continued to lightly pinch at them, becoming instantly hard. Then he
pinched them incredibly hard. Pain flowed through my chest. My eyes burst
open, I was fully awake now.

"OWW! JADE THAT HURTS!" I screamed.

"Well then get up! You have...4 minutes to get ready!" he said.

"WHAT?! BUT I HAVE A HISTORY TEST TODAY!"

"I tried waking you up."

I gently pushed him the hell off of me & I looked at my clock. NO!!! It
was true! I had only...3 minutes to make the bus.

"Nice butt" I heard him laugh.

"Well take a good look because there it goes!" I said as I pulled on a
pair of boxers.

I rushed to get the rest of my clothes on as fast as I could. I had the
slightest of trouble getting an undershirt on because of the pain that
SOMEBODY had inflicted on me.

Once I was done, we ran tot he kitchen, I got a glass of milk & chugged
it. I got my back pack & SPRINTED out through the door. Jade locked the
door behind us with his key to my house.

We ran down to the bus stop. We were about 20 feet from my house when we
saw the bus pull by, FAR down the street. I prayed that she saw us. I
couldn't afford to be late today. I would break down if I missed this.
That test is worth 15% of my grade this term!

I could tell that she didn't see us when she drove off. I stopped in
horror. What was I going to do now?

"HELL NO!! NO NO NO!!!!! DAMMIT!" I yelled, slamming my fist into a tree.
Pain shot through my hand. My skin had opened & it was all bruised. But I
didn't care.

"OWW!" I bellowed.

"Oh my God, Noah!" Jade said as he rushed to my side & examined my hand.
It was hurting like hell.

"Now what?" he asked.

"We have gauze in the kitchen."

"I meant about getting to school."

"Oh" I said dumbly. "I don't know."

He seemed to be going through different ways in his head. There wasn't
really anybody that lived close enough to give us a ride & we didn't hav
any money for a taxi.

"Let's get some skates & get there fast."

"Are you INSANE?! We won't get there in time, it's miles from here" I
said.

"Then we better get going!"

We DID end up rollerskating down to the school. The ride there was a
pain.

We were only about half way there when I just collapsed from exhaustion
right on the sidewalk. We hadn't taken one break, nor had we slowed down
one bit.

"Hey, you alright?" Jade panted, extending his hand down to help me up. I
was too tired to even take it.

"I NEED a break..." I replied.

"Come on" he said, taking my hand & pulling me up. I collapsed on him. I
was now leaning on him, exhausted.

We figured that since it would take us another 30 minutes to get there,
we might as well take a break now. Since there was no houses around us
where we were, we took a seat on the grass on the other side of the
sidewalk. I sat close to him & leaned my head on his shoulder.

"Hey, you ok? You're kind of quiet" Jade said to me as I felt his hand
gently massage my back.

"It's nothing...well...I don't know. I've been thinking a lot about that
day at Dade's, where we kind of almost got caught..."

"How come you've been thinking that?"

"Well, do you think it's a sign or something? I mean we were so close to
being caught. Maybe that's saying we WILL get caught someday" I wrapped
my arms around his torso, holding onto him.

"Oh, my little Stevie Wonder. You're very superstitious. Don't worry
about it. All that happened was that we fell asleep & we woke up when
they were closing."

"I guess you're right."

"I AM right."

We sat there for a few minutes in each others' arms. We were so tired we
nearly fell asleep. Hopefully we didn't & people came around & found two
boys passed out on the sidewalk.

I loved it when he held me like this. I was addicted to it. He was
embracing me like I really was the entire world to him. He really cared
about. I mean, I know it's one thing to be loved by somebody, but just
knowing that you're actually CARED about is just heaven. You know they
would fight a war for you, take a bullet or ANYTHING to show they truly
feel love for YOU. It's beautiful, warm & an amazing feeling overall. And
you know what? I feel the exact same way towards him.

"We should probably get going now" he said softly.

"Yeah."

We stood up to go. That's when we noticed a tracker trailer truck was
headed down the road towards us. It pulled up next to us. The driver
leaned over across the seat to talk to us.

"You boys need a ride somewhere?" he asked in a burly voice that made me
think of a bear.

We had been told as kids to never hitch hike these days because it wasn't
like it use to be. Safe. But we were desperate, not to mention not in the
mood to be kidnapped & we would do something about it if we were. So we
agreed.

"Um, yeah, the highschool. We're very late & exhausted. Could you give us
a ride?" Jade asked.

"No problem. Hop in."

We got into the huge truck in the front seat with the driver.

"I'm Bill" he said, holding out his hand as we clicked on our seat belts.
We shook his hand each.

"Nice to meet you."

After intros were over, he started to drive off. I was sitting closest to
Bill, Jade at the window. I was tired as hell & I subconsciously rested
my head on his shoulder. I started to cuddle up against him & I closed my
eyes. He started to stroke my hair & the next thing I knew I was asleep.

I was woken up a little bit later by Jade talking to me.

"Noah? , it's time to wake up. Noah?"

"I'm up" I yawned out.

"Thanks for the ride Bill, we would have gotten here like 2 hours late
probably" said Jade to the driver.

"Don't worry about it. Bye boys!" he said as Jade helped me down from the
truck & onto the school sidewalk.

Once he drove off, I realized something.

"Jade, did you just call me 'babe' in front of that guy? What if lives
around here & knows we're boyfriends?"

"Calm down . He's driving from Houlton to Concord, New Hampshire. He
lives around Houlton, so I don't think we'll be hearing anything anytime
soon."

"Well we're only about an hour late" he chuckled.

"Yeah, let's hurry in & tell them what happend."

When the school day was over, we both met up at the front doors. I had
big news.

"I got an 89% on my history!"

"That's awesome!" he high-fived me.

"We should, uh....celebrate at, let's say my house? Once we get home?" he
added with a clever smile. I knew what he was up to & I wasn't about to
back down.

"Ok then."

We got on the bus & headed home. They day had started off screwy...and it
was about to end the same way if I played my cards right. Ace.
