Chapter 3 - "The Show Goes On"

"Hey Ryan" I said as I answered the door.

"Hey Jaxson" He replied with a weird look on his face. "You must be really

"Oh um I was just upstairs listening to ColdPlay."

"Um ok but that's not the kind of music alot of people rock to" Ryan

"Well come on in" I replied trying to change the subject before he finds
out what I really did.

We went to the kitchen and grabbed a few snacks before we went up into my
room. When we got there ColdPlay was still playing but the song was 'Violet
Hill' off their last album.

"You a big ColdPlay fan" Ryan asked.

"Yeah I like some of their songs but I like all different kinds of Rock
music. Do you like rock music?"

"Some but I'm more of a rap/hip hop kind of a guy though" he said with
intrest.

"I like hip hop too even thought I still would choose rock over it. I like
more 90's and early 2000's kind of Rap" I stated.

"I know alot of the Hip Hop stars who have come out recently are preety
bad" Ryan stated.

Seing Ryan engaged in the conversation actually got me excited and I new I
had to think of a way to keep him going. I couldn't afford for us to have
one of those akward silences.

"You heard that new Lupe Fiasco album 'Lasers' yet" I asked.

"Yeah, it was alright but I thought it would be better. I know he wasn't
focused when he made it because he wanted to make 'LupEND' as his final
album.  Since he had a contract with his record labe he had to make this
album. I know his next album will be better 'Food & Liquor II: The Great
American Rap Album' will be better."

I was stunned at how much he new about Lupe Fiasco and I started to really
enjoy listening to him talk. As Ryan was talkin I got lost staring into
those beautiful blue eyes he has. When I looked into his eyes I felt like I
could dive in them and go swimming or surfing. Then I started to focus on
Ryan's hair and the few little spikes he puts up in the front of his

"No I thought you went to the library to get the book" I replied also with

"So we have no book"

"Wow how are we going to do the project if we son't have the book" said

"We could use spark notes"

"Spark notes, She will definitely figure that out."

"Maybe you could get the book and we could do it tomorrow."

"Why do I have to get the book" Ryan said still with anger.

"Cause I can't leave my house."

"Fine"

"We could still just hang out tonight" I said hopeful

"And do what"

"Well we could play some video games or watch sports or some movies."

"What games you got."

"I some sports games and Halo Reach, Black Ops...."

"U got Madden or some basketball or Skate."

"I have madden"

"Alright lets play madden and then we can play Black ops or Halo."

"Cool" I said as I put madden in my xbox"

We played a couple games of madden and he was way better than me and I got
demolished every time. After awile we decided to switch to call of
duty. While the game was booting up I order us some pizza. We played a
couple of games of COD and I owned him in all of them and before we new it
the pizza arrived and we went downstairs to eat. We sitting in my living

After that we made some small talk about our families. I learned he had two
sisters(one younger one older) and that both his parents work but he
wouldn't tell me what they do. After we finished eating and talking we went
back to my room. It was a little after 9:30 and we were trying to decide on

about it. Ryan and Karen do look similar but different at the same

said he had two sisters and one was older and the other was younger. So how
could Karen be his sister. It didn't make sense so I had to ask.

"Thats not possible she's not your twin."

"No she's my younger sister' he said a little more relaxed.

"Well than how is she a Junior"

Around 11:00 my mom and Kurt came home and Intoduced them to Ryan after

and information in magazines. The funniest part was when they did 'War of

tell him he can send them to anyone but before they even really get into
the plan they hear a baby crying in the backround where ever the guy is
at. He ends up admitting he's married and his girlfriend breaksdown on the
phone.

we went to sleep he told me something I wasn't expecting.

"I'm glad I came over here today and that we could become fast friends."
