Subject: Chapter 19 of Obsession

"Are you guys ready to go to the lake?" Justyn asked.

"YES!!!! If we can't get out of here, both of us will go
completely crazy!" Brian exclaimed.

"Load up. I need to get you both to the cabin and then I
have work to do. My plane was delayed out of New York this
morning and I'm way behind. Is Mike at work?" Justyn asked.

"Yeah. He had taken so much time off lately that he has to
work late today. Maybe until 6:00. Tough life, huh? You
never work past 6:00, do you, Justyn?" Brian joked.

"No, I'm pretty much a 10:00 in the morning until 3:00 in
the afternoon type of guy. And I take a two hour lunch break
in between that," Justyn joked.

"Yeah, we knew that cops never really do any real work," Rob
joked back.

"One cop may also not take certain kids to his cabin if
certain kids piss him off, too. Better keep that in mind.
Now put all your stuff into my car, or I'll leave you here,"
Justyn said with a smile on his face.

The boys ran to get what they were taking and were back
within a few seconds. "We're ready, sir," Rob said.

"That's a lot better. How about you?" Justyn asked Brian.

"Oh, thank you, Master, for granting us the privilege of
staying in your humble cabin. Your slaves will be in your
debt for the rest of our lives," Brian joked.

"Slaves? I kind of like the idea of slaves. I can see my car
getting washed and waxed anytime I want it years from now,"
Justyn said.

"Don't push your luck," Rob said.

They loaded the boy's clothes in the truck in the Mustang
and started towards the lake. It was about an hour and a
half drive.

Bill monitored them all the way.

                        ***************

Traffic was kind of heavy once they got off Georgia 400 at
Georgia 20. 400 was a four lane road where the speed limit
was 65, but like all speed limits in Atlanta, no one paid
them any attention. Especially if you were a police officer.
Justyn was going 85 the whole way and he got passed twice by
other cars.

But 20 was a two lane road and just their luck, they got
caught behind a cement truck that could barely move once
stopped. There is so much new construction going on near 400
that cement trucks were a common sight.

Justyn was in a hurry. He had to get back to Police
headquarters and write up his report on what he had found in
New York. They had a positive identification of Bill from a
finger print on a picture he had sent Jimmy through the
mail. That should be enough to at least get a search
warrant. Justyn was in a great mood and nothing could stop
it. Except for the damn cement truck ahead of him.

They finally got to a point where there was a third passing
lane in the middle and Justyn floored it around both the
cement truck and two other cars that were also trying to get
into the passing lane so they could also get around the
truck.

"You'd better watch it. You don't want to get a ticket for
speeding," Brian kidded from the passenger seat.

"That man in the van just gave you a rude sign when you
passed him. He held one finger out the window at you. Can't
we arrest him or something?" Rob kidded also.

"Maybe we should pull him over and shoot him," Brian said,
looking at Justyn's gun in his shoulder harness.

"Cant we go back to the Master thing and leave out the wise
cracks? I have to get back so I can see if we can catch this
bastard, remember? The last thing I need is to be chaffering
two little boys around that might burn down my cabin before
the night is over," Justyn kidded back.

"Little boys? I'll show you little boys!" Brian said,
reaching for his belt.

"You even touch the zipper and I'm running you in for
indecent exposure," Justyn laughed. Both boys joined him.

After passing several more lights, they turned left on
Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and headed north. They went
about two miles until they passed a traffic light."

"That sign said Lake Lanier," Brian said.

"Yeah, that's the entrance to the park where the two golf
courses and the water park are. My cabin is further north,"
Justyn answered.

He continued north for several more miles, then took a left
and they were in a heavily wooded area. He soon took a right
and drove down a dirt road for several hundred yards until
everyone could see the cabin.

It wasn't a cabin like the boys had pictured. It was a log
home, easily as big as their own house. It was stained a
dark golden color with a green metal roof. They could
already see the lake. The house was situated where it had an
great view of the whole cove.

"This is awesome," Brian said as he hopped out.

"How much land do you own?" Rob asked, as he also got out of
the back seat.

"20 acres. Almost all of it's lake frontage. I've been
thinking about selling off some lots, but I haven't got
around to it," Justyn replied.

"So where does your land start on both sides?" Brian asked.

"I'll have to show you some other time. There are three
bedrooms in the house. When all of this is over, I'll have
both of you and Mike up here for a long weekend, OK?" Justyn
answered.

"If we wash and wax your car every month or so, can we come
up here every weekend once Bri gets the Cobra back?" Rob
asked playfully.

"We'll have to talk about that later," Justyn laughed. "Come
on. I'll show you where everything is and then I have to get
back to Atlanta."

Justyn unlocked the front door and gave them a quick tour.
There was plenty of frozen food in both the refrigerator and
a stand up freezer. Justyn had brought milk, eggs and butter
with him.

"You guys have a cell phone, don't you?" Justyn said.

"Yeah. I have mine with me," Brian answered.

"Good. I don't come here much any more and I don't keep the
phone working unless I'm going to stay here a lot. Just use
that to contact Mike or myself," Justyn said.

"Bri, did you bring the charger?" Rob asked.

"Oh shit. I meant to. I left it in my room," Brian answered.

"Well, just keep it turned off and call us. The charge
should be fine as long as it's off," Justyn said.

"No problem," Brian said as he shut it off. "Once you leave,
we don't want to hear from anyone," he giggled.

"I get the feeling I'm not wanted," Justyn laughed. "Ok, I'm
going. I have to hurry back to work anyway. I know I'm going
to hit rush hour traffic too. I don't know if you two are
worth all this."

"Thanks, Justyn. I love you," Brian said, as he came up and
hugged Justyn.

"Me too," Rob said, as he also hugged him.

Justyn had a big grin on his face. "I don't get many hugs in
my line of work. Those were special. Ok, maybe you two are
worth it. I kind of like Mike too, after we almost had a
couple of knock down, drag out fights. I thought he was
going to hit me a few times."

"Yeah, and he would have kicked your ass, too," Rob kidded.

"If he did, I would have shot him and claimed self defense,"
Justyn laughed. "Guys, I have to go. I have a bad guy to
catch."

Justyn led them into the living room and picked up the
remote control for the television. "There's fishing tackle
in the closet in the kitchen. You'll have to dig up your own
worms. There's a storage building in back that has a shovel.
Just put everything back where you found it and keep
everything clean or you'll never see this place again.
Understood?"

"Yes Master, we obey," Brian answered as he bowed low.

"We are your humble servants," Rob also said, as he also
bowed before Justyn.

"You mess up my house and I'm going to kick both your
butts," Justyn laughed. "I want to look at this place one
more time," he said, looking around. "I might never see it
again, trusting it to you guys," he kidded.

"Don't you have someplace you need to go?" Brian asked,
laughing.

"Geez. Thrown out of my own house. Ok. I'm leaving. One last
thing. If you're inside, lock the doors. Both of them. The
dead bolts. Understand?" Justyn asked.

"Yes Master!" Brian answered.

Justyn just shook his head and laughed. "I must be crazy to
trust you two."

"All cops have to be a little crazy," Rob answered. "Bye,
Justyn," he said, as he pushed Justyn towards the door.

Justyn walked to the front door, being helped by Rob. He
finally turned around and said, "You boys want to be alone
so much, one might think you were in love or something."

Both boys blushed crimson.

Justyn just burst out in laughter. "Give it up, guys. I knew
it before Mike and I talked. I couldn't care less. I just
had to get some payback time because of all the Master
comments. Now, you know not to mess with me," Justyn said,
as he walked swiftly away, still laughing.

"I'm going to kill you and Mike," Brian yelled, as he chased
Justyn out of the house.

`Me too,' Bill thought to himself from where he was sitting
in the woods to the left of the house. He had heard every
word. `I think it would be fitting that all four die. I
really like that idea. And as soon as the famous Detective
leaves, I think I'll start with Bri and his little
boyfriend. Then I'll figure out how to do the other two.'

                         *************

Brian and Rob chased Justyn to his car. They waved goodbye
as he drove away and went back into the cabin to explore.
They did like he told them and locked the dead bolt on the
front door. There was no way that Bill knew where they were,
but they had promised.

"This is awesome! I can't believe we're here all weekend,
just the two of us!" Rob exclaimed.

"Me either. This place is great. It has everything. Did you
see the speakers in each corner?" Brian asked.

"No. I must have missed that. Does it have surround sound?"
Rob asked.

"It must have. Let's check out the equipment," Brian said,
as he went over and looked at the satellite dish and the
other receivers. "Yeah, it does. And it's a Bose system.
That's the best you can get. I wondered when I saw the
speaker cubes mounted at the ceiling. Did you bring any
DVD's?"

"No, I thought this was a cabin, not a dream house. I just
brought clothes. Did you?" Rob asked.

"No, me either. Maybe he has some DVD's. We could build a
fire and watch movies all night. I think curling up to you
naked in front of a roaring fire would be nice. Don't you?"
Brian asked, grinning.

"Yeah, that sounds good to me too. And I don't care what
kind of movies Justyn likes. I have a feeling that I won't
be watching much of it anyway," Rob answered.

"Me either. I'll go in and see what he has in the freezer
and make something simple for dinner. Then, we can just do
anything we want to," Brian answered. He walked back to the
kitchen and opened the freezer door. Rob followed him.

Brian was looking through everything in there, when Rob
said, "BRI!!!"

"What?" Brian answered.

"I think I saw someone out there. He ran behind that pile of
wood. He was crouched down low to the ground, but I swear I
saw someone," Rob said.

Brian shut the freezer door and also stared out the window.
"I don't see anything."

"I swear I saw someone," Rob answered.

"Let's just watch for a few minutes and see if we see
anything, Ok?" Brian asked?

"Yeah," Rob answered, as chill bumps ran up his body. Both
boys stared for several minutes, covering the whole
backyard. Nothing moved.

"I must have been mistaken. I guess I'm still nervous about
Bill," Rob said.

"I know. Me too. I can't wait until all of this is over
with," Brian said, as he went back to the freezer. "Hey,
there are some big T-Bone steaks in here. And there's a five
pound bag of french fries. There's a grill on the center
work island. How about I cook us a big steak and French
fries for dinner?"

"That sounds great. Can I help?" Rob asked.

"You can put the steaks in the microwave. I don't trust you
around a kitchen to do anything else," Brian kidded.

"Oh, thanks a lot," Rob answered, taking the two steaks from
Brian's hand and putting them into the microwave. He turned
it on for 30 minutes on defrost, with Brian looking over his
shoulder to make sure he got it right.

"Come on, I can do this by myself," Rob complained.

"We both know how you are in the kitchen. You are a disaster
waiting to happen," Brian kidded.

Rob also laughed. "I guess you're right. Let's go find a
movie to watch."

                         *************

Bill watched behind the woodpile. He saw he boys look out
towards the back yard as he was coming closer to the house.
He didn't want them to know he was here just yet. He wanted
this to be a surprise. He stayed down low for a long time.
It seemed like hours to him, but it was only a few minutes.
When he finally looked back, the boys were walking away.
Nice of them to turn on the overhead light. It wasn't nearly
dark yet, but the light was beginning to dim. Everything was
turning in his favor. EVERYTHING!!! This should be easy. And
lots of fun!!! All he had to do was get into the house. And
he had his full set of locks picks in his pocket.
