Subject: One or the Other: Chapter Twenty-Nine

	This is my first story that has chapters! My other stories are
Hayden's Story and Gavin's Got Game, they're here under the High School
section, I also have a story called The After Party, which is under the
college section. There is now also another story by my, which is similar to
this one, called Shawn's Turn, which is also under the high school
section. I'm under the Nifty Authors section as Aaron Hull so if yhou get
confused as to where these stories are, you can just go there. Warning: My
shorter stories contain sex.

-Daniel's perspective-

	Eric really is a yeller. I didn't want to make a noise so I just
laid there. But based off the noises Eric was making, I guess they would
have missed a hydrogen bomb going off down the street. The two were back
there for about thirty minutes, each one was taking five to ten minute
intervals to moan and suck...such....moan and such.

	That's when the doorbell rang. Both of them became completely
silent. I had completely forgotten about the pizza! I got up off the couch
and hurriedly answered the door. The guy delivering the pizza was a guy I
occasionally talked to in sixth period but this time when he tried talking
I tried my hardest to give him the hint I was in no mood for talking. He
soon got the picture and left. I felt like an asshole for blowing him off
but I really didn't want to talk. My brother and one of his friends were
blowing each other in the next room.

	About two minutes after the pizza guy had left, Eric and Kurt came
out of our room. "When did you get home?" Kurt asked.

	"I just got home. I saw the note you left so I had Kasey's sister
take us out for pizza. I knew you'd be home so I decided to bring you home
some pizza. I was still hungry and didn't wanna look like a pig too."

	"Wh rung the doorbell?" Fuck. Why does he want to play 20
Questions?

	"I wanted to pretend I was the pizza guy but I remembered that you
usually take a nap when you got home and I didn't want cold pizza so I just
came in."

	"When did you two come?...Here. I meant here. Not like...yeah. When
did practice let out.?"

	"I'm going to go. I'll see you later Kurt." Eric grabbed his bag
that was next to the door and left. I felt like an asshole.

	"So...I'm guessing you know?" Kurt said.

	"Why didn't you tell me?"

	"I didn't want you to be mad at me."

	"Why would I be mad at you? If you didn't notice, I have a
boyfriend of my own."

	"Eric and I aren't dating. We're just fooling around. I don't want
a boyfriend and he's still dating Hailie. I thought you'd be pissed that
I'm fooling around with a taken guy."

	"I kinda am, but that's your life. Please be careful though. There
are a lot of guys out there that would be willing to just fool around with
a cute guy like you. I don't want you to end up getting kicked off the
basketball team because Hailie found out about you and Eric and decided to
tell the whole school."

	"Thanks...I guess." Kurt sat down at the island. "I was thinking
about telling you."

	"That doesn't mean anything." I said. "The fact is that you never
told me."

	"Can I ask you something?"

	"Yeah."

	"How much did you hear?"

	"I was lying on the couch the whole time so I basically heard
everything."

	"Really?" Kurt sounded ashamed. This is the first time I think he's
ever been like this. Normally he is proud of what he does no matter how bad
it is. "Can I ask you something else?"

	"Yeah."

	"Well, I've never liked seen another guy's dick, like you know I'm
not into the whole porn thing. Is eight inches a good size?"

	This was going to be the most awkward conversation ever. I mean, I
heard him blowing a guy in the room over and now we're talking about his
dick, or Eric's...I really don't wanna ask whose dick we're talking
about. "Well...yea it is. Why do you ask me?"

	"You've been with Kasey and I know you watch porn. You really need
to delete your history. I get tired of all the suggested links being gay
porn sites."

	That really lightened the mood. "Sorry. I thought you were too
stupid to notice." I opened the box of pizza and took in a big wiff, I
swear it smelt like heaven. "Want a piece?"

	"Why the fuck do you think I came out here? I smelt pizza." Kurt
took a slice and shoved it in his mouth.

	"Well, I thought you and Eric would need a break. I mean, anyone
who makes THAT much noise must be doing a lot of work." Kurt flipped me off
and I laughed. It looks like things went back to normal, or well, mine and
Kurt's version of normal.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

-Spencer's perspective-

	"So, you ready for tonight?" Mason said over the phone.

	"No. You never told me what we're doing. I hate surprises, you know
that."

	"You say that but every time I surprise you, you always smile and
love it."

	"I know. I don't really hate surprises. I just hate not knowing
things."

	Mason laughed. "I promise it's something sweet, babe. I love you."

	"I love you too."

	"I gotta go. Mom wants me to be with Garret and Alex today because
she says I've been spending too much time with you. I'm sorry."

	"It's okay. I'm not mad at you or your mom. I think it is important
you spend time with them. You only have a little over a year left with
them."

	"Thanks for understanding. See ya later, babe."

	"See ya."

	I hated when Mason and I had to hang up. He makes me sooo happy and
it sucks that I can't spend every second of the day with him. Hopefully
after I graduate I'll be able to move in with him and we can be a happy
couple. I know it's really too soon to be saying that we're going to be
dating that long but it's all I can think about nowadays.

	"Yo, Spence!" Megan shouted from down the hall.

	"What?!"

	"Did you hear?!"

	"What?!"

	"Jordan was arrested!" Megan said as she appeared at my door. She
was smiling so big and was so happy, I would've thought she would break
down and confess that she really loves Jordan and that she wished she had
him back.

	"For what?"

	"He was caught with drugs in his car. He failed the drug test they
had last week for basketball and they checked his car and found the
drugs. I also heard that the assistant coach has been lying about Jordan
passing in order to keep him on the team. This is like the best day of my
life!" The assistant coach is Megan's study hall teacher and she hates him
too, that's why that's a plus.

	"Wow...that's....awesome?"

	"Yeah. Wanna go out to celebrate?"

	"Huh?"

	"Caleb wants to hang out and I'm offering you a chance to hang out
with us." Caleb is Megan's new "boyfriend." He's the polar opposite of
Jordan. He's actually extremely smart, funny, considerate, and he's
attractive, one of those attractive nerds I guess, Jordan is considered
attractive but his stupidity made him ugly to me. Every time I ask her
about him, she says they're just friends but they hang out one on one all
the time so I'm sure they're dating.

	"Sure. Why not."

	"Here." Megan tossed me my jacket. "He's waiting out in his
car. You're decent enough."

	I had only met Caleb a handful of times. The first time we met he
told me he supported me and the rest of the gay community and apologized
for everything that had happened to me. It was sort of awkward but it was
nice to know he accepted me.

	Megan and I got out to the car and instead of being pissed that I
was tagging along, Caleb actually seemed happy to see me. "Hey Spence. You
comin' along?"

	"Yeah. Megan wanted me to come along to celebrate."

	"Celebrate what?" Caleb asked.

	"Jordan was arrested." Megan said. She didn't look too happy.  "You
shouldn't be happy about that. I know he screwed you over but he was close
to you at one point."

	"I know. He still pisses me off though."

	"Well you should feel bad for him. He doesn't get to be with you
and I think that's like one of the worst things in the world. I can't
imagine my life without you." I could hear a sarcastic tone in his voice
but I knew he was somewhat serious.

	"I guess you're right." Megan said. "And your life was shit before
I came into it."

	"It sure was." He said laughing.

	The bantering when on for a while more but nothing too
relationshipy was said. When we got to the restaurant, Caleb offered to pay
for mine and Megan's food, to which Megan declined but Caleb wouldn't let
her pay for it. She gave in after a couple minutes, she didn't have any
money on her, she just didn't want to look like a bum, which I thought was
funny.

	After Caleb got us our food, we sat down and talked. Caleb asked me
about school and how things were going. He was excited to hear that MAson
and I had plans for the night.  He then told me about college, Caleb is a
freshman at the local college, he actually knows Canyon which I thought was
pretty awesome. Caleb and my sister met last year when they were in anatomy
together and had to work on a project at the end of the year. They kept in
contact afterwards but they weren't really close, mainly because of Jordan,
until a little while after the break up.  "So, have you decided where you
want to go for college?" Caleb asked Megan.

	"I think I'm going to stay here because I don't think I'm ready to
leave Spencer behind. He still needs his big sister to protect him."

	"No I don't! Mason will protect me..."

	"Do you bring him up in every conversation?" Megan asked. It kinda
stung, but I knew she didn't mean that in a harsh way.

	"No. It's just...I know I'll be okay. I don't want you to limit
what you can do because you think I need you. I want you you to do what you
want."

	"You're a sweet little brother. I was actually wanting to stay here
because what I want to major in is here and I don't think I could leave
everything behind yet."

	"Maybe you could move in with Caleb. Or are you all waiting til
after marriage?" That made both Caleb and Megan blush.

	"Shut the fuck up, twerp."

	Caleb was sipping on his drink when Megan said that and nearly died
choking because he started to laugh. Once he was okay, we all started
laughing. It wasn't much longer til we decided to head home. It was really
nice to hang out with Caleb, he seems really good for Megan. I just wish
they would make it official before anything happens.

	When Caleb dropped me and Megan off, I quickly ran upstairs and got
ready for for my date with Mason. I was hoping the surprise wouldn't be out
to eat because I was literally stuffed. I heard someone knocking at the
door and quickly went down to answer it. I had just finished getting ready
so I felt like it was perfect timing.

	Answering the door I thought I would be greeted by a big hunky guy
wrapping me in his arms and kissing me. What I got instead was two pairs of
arms wrap around me and kiss my cheeks, these arms and lips belonging to
Macy and Emma.

	"What do you all want?" I asked.

	"We wanna hang out." Emma said. "We haven't done that in like
forever."

	"I have plans with Mason tonight. Maybe tomorrow?"

	"Your plans are tomorrow now. We sent Max, Canyon, Tyler, and Lily
to take him out for the night."

	"Are you guys kidding me?" I asked. I wasn't upset, the idea of
those four showing up at Mason's door when he was on his way to come pick
me up made me laugh.

	"Nope." Macy said. "I know you and Mason are married now but that
doesn't mean he gets full custody of you. We want you to ourselves every
now and then."

	"Will you give me some time to get ready?"

	"Yeah. If you're not done in five minutes we'll dress you
ourselves." Macy said. I sighed, hugged the both of them, and ran
upstairs. "Should we warn Daniel and Kurt that we're going to be over there
in a few minutes?" I heard Macy say as I shut the door to my room. I never
realized how much I missed my friends until then.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

-Mason's perspective-

	I had just gotten out to my car when Tyler and Lily pulled in my
driveway. "What are you guys doing here?" I asked. I wanted to spend time
with my boyfriend. It wasn't every day I could do that.

	"Max called and said that we were all hanging out tonight." Lily
said.

	"Well I never agreed to this." I told them.

	"Well that sucks. I guess you're gonna have to cancel your plans."
Lily said as she headed inside my house, without my permission.

	"Dude...you really need to clarify with your girlfriend that mi
casa es no su casa." I told Tyler as he laughed.

	"You know Lily. She thinks of you like a brother so technically
this is her house too." Tyler then left to head inside.

	I pulled my phone out to tell Spencer the bad news. I thought about
ditching them but Tyler had parked his car in the driveway and there was no
way I could get mine out without destroying Tyler's car or my mom's
flowers, both would be a horrible idea.

	I looked at my phone to see Spencer had already texted me. The
message said that his friends had made this elaborate plan to separate us
for the night and that he thought it would be good to hang out with them
for once. I really wanted to be with Spencer but I guess I should hang out
with my friends. I barely make any time for them. With the whole Isabella
thing and then me and Spencer dating, it's hard to find time to hang out
with them.

	I went inside and found my mom in the kitchen. "They went outside
to start a fire. I thought you were going on a date."

	"Change of plans. They cancelled it." I said nudging my head to
where the two were at.

	"Well that's good. You don't spend enough time with them
anyways. Maybe Alex and Garret can come outside and hang out with you
all..."

	"Mom...I love them but they really shouldn't be around for our
conversations. We're much older and sometimes the things we say aren't for
their ears."

	"Fine. But if you guys decide to grill out, make sure you make
something for Alex and Garret."

	"I will, Mom. And I love you."

	"Love you too, sweetie."

	I went outside and the two were piling wood into the fire pit. "You
know you two suck at this, right?" A voice said from behind. I turned
around to see Canyon. It's been awhile since we've hung out so we
immediately embraced each other with a hug and the typical hi's.

	"Maybe I should tell Spencer on you two." Lily said.

	"What's she talking about?" Canyon asked.

	"Spencer and Mason are dating and they're out."

	"Dude that's great!" Canyon said as he hugged me again.

	"Thanks. How are things with you and your man?"

	"Eh. They've been better. I don't think we're gonna like end up
together forever, but it's nice having him around."

	"How's your sister?"

	"She's great. It's great having her there for me. We get along so
great now."

	"Tell her I said hi. I don't know if she remembers me but I sorta
remember her."

	"How could anyone forget you?" Canyon said with a laugh.

	"I don't know. He's just like so sexy and so awesome." Tyler said
in a mocking tone.

	"He actually is." Lily said, which made me and Canyon laugh.

	The four of us sat and hung out, it was great having my friends
around. After a while, Max and Megan showed up. Lily was happy that she
wasn't the only girl, even though all the guys here, excluding Max, would
fool around with guys.

	Nothing great happened that night. We just enjoyed the fire and
talked. It was nice to see Lily and Tyler together. They really were in
love and I loved seeing them the way they are. I hope that one day Spencer
and I will be as happy as them. The only thing that sucks is that Spencer
and I only have a little over a year left together before I leave. He's
already told me that if I go to college here he may kill me because he
wants me to play college ball where I want to and not here where the team
is pretty mediocre.

	I hope long distance isn't as hard as what I've heard. Spencer
truly makes me happy and I want him to always be in my life. I don't know
what I'd do if I found Spencer found someone else to love him while I was
gone off to college. I plan on coming home as frequent as I can so I can be
with Spencer and see my family. I hope college ball doesn't take up as much
time as I think it will.

	"Mason!" Megan said.

	"Huh?"

	"I just asked you a question."

	"Sorry. I wasn't paying attention. What did you say?"

	"I asked you where you want to go for college. I know you're a
junior but you have to have some idea."

	"I honestly don't know where I want to go. I want to stay close to
home so I can see Spencer every now and then but I also want to get out of
here."

	"You know he wants you to go wherever you want and doesn't want you
to limit what schools you want to go to because of him."

	"I know but I don't want to lose him because he feels like I'm too
far away."

	"You'll figure out what to do when time comes." Canyon said. "It's
not like he'd dump you because you're too far away. It sounds like he
really likes you."

	"He does. You're all he talks about." Megan said.

	It made me feel special that he really did talk about him, but I
was also scared I'd end up ruining things and I didn't want him to feel
like he wasted part of his life on me. "Yeah....Hey, I'm getting kinda
tired. Would it be okay if we just ended it for the night?"

	"Sure." Tyler said.

	"Nope." Lily said as she grabbed Tyler by the pocket and pulled him
back down. I was kinda getting pissed off with her now. It wasn't her
decision when I get to go to bed. "You're staying here. I'll pick you up
tomorrow. I think you and Mason need time to talk." Lily looked at me and
smiled, I think she knew I needed to talk to someone privately about what's
going on in my head. That was nothing like I expected.

	"Okay? I'll see you in the morning then." He kissed Lily and then
Lily, Canyon, Max, and Megan all got up and left. Tyler and I put out the
fire and then headed inside to get a quick snack before we headed upstairs
for the night.

-Spencer's perspective-

	After Max had left to go to Mason's, Emma, Macy, and I completely
forgot that we now had no way of getting to Daniel and Kurt's and we had no
way to get to and back from the movies. Luckily my mom soon came home after
we realized the dilemma and she was nice enough to offer to do all the
driving for us.

	When we finally got Kurt and Daniel's slow assed out to the car and
arrived at the movies, we thanked my mom and I told her I'd call her when
we were ready to be picked up. It felt awkward with it just being the five
of us. Kasey and Brennan were unable to go because the JV cheer team had a
game to cheer at, Kurt is on the varsity basketball team and his game
wasn't until tomorrow so that's the only reason he was able to make it.

	"Your mom is the best." Kurt said as her car disappeared among the
other cars.

	"Yeah. She doesn't treat us like little kids and that makes me feel
all good inside." Emma said. We couldn't help but laugh at that.

	"Thanks. I'm really glad she's my mom. I don't know what I'd do if
I didn't have someone who is as supportive as she is."

	We headed into the movies and got our tickets as quickly as we
could. When we were heading towards the theaters, I swear I saw Ricky,
Trey, Hannah, Jessie, and some other guy come in. It really shocked me and
I was surprised to see all of them hanging out. I also kinda saw them as
the "reject" group since Trey, Hannah, and Jessie were once all in our
little group but were soon "kicked out" for various reasons.

	I didn't mention anything to the others because I really didn't
want to start anything tonight. With the luck I have, the five of them
ended up in the same theater as the five of us, which was extremely awkward
because Emma and Macy were whispering about them and so were Kurt and
Daniel.

	They noticed us as well and it was awkward for a moment to have our
little stare down contest. They sat on the opposite side of the theater
from us and at first we were a little sketchy about what would happen, but
we soon just let it go and watched the movie. I think I was the only one
who still felt a little uncomfortable because it was so awkward seeing Trey
said. The look in his eyes was a combination of hatred and love. I just
wish things would've gone better because I know Trey is a great guy, he
just has one flaw and that's what ruined our relationship.

	After the movie, the inevitable happened. The two groups collided
as we exited the movies. The first things said though weren't as gruesome
as I thought they would be though.

	"Hey Spencer, can we talk?" Trey asked.

	"No. He has better things to do that to talk to you." Macy said.

	"Keep your mouth shut. This is between him and Spencer not you."
Hannah said.

	"Don't make me beat the shit out of you. I'm not afraid of your
preppy ass."

	"Please just stop!" I shouted. "Yes Trey I'll talk to you. And Macy
I'll be okay. You're the one who needs to be careful. Try not to get
arrested, please."

	"Fine." Macy rolled her eyes.

	Trey and I left the two groups to go talk. "I'm really sorry for
what I put you through. I'm trying to get better. You are honestly the only
guy I can see myself having a future with. I just need like an outlet or
something because I honestly think I'm addicted to sex."

	"I'm sorry, Trey. We tried it once and I really don't want to try
things again. What you did hurt me so much and I don't think I could go
through that again. I also have a boyfriend so it's too late. Maybe if you
had seeked helped and came to me before Mason and I started dating...maybe
we could've seen where things could have gone." I really felt sorry for
Trey. I could tell he was serious. It was just too late for anything to
happen now.

	"Please, Spencer. I love you."

	"Trey..." Hel pulled me in and placed his lips on mine before I
could finish my sentence. Unlike the kisses I shared with Daniel when I was
dating Trey, this didn't feel right. I couldn't cheat on Mason the way I
cheated on Trey. I quickly pulled away. "Don't do that! I have a
boyfriend!"  "You did that when we were dating though! Don't act like you
and Daniel never kissed!"

	"You know what, just fuck off. I felt like shit for kissing Daniel
while we were dating. I didn't know you were fucking random guys behind my
back though."

	"Will you just fucking drop it! I screwed up one time!"

	"It was more than one time! I've talked with Canyon and he knows
how big of a slut you are too! You know I was actually thinking about
losing my virginity to you but you really fucked that over."

	I turned around to leave, but before I could get a good distance
away, I felt something hit my back and I fell to the ground. I rolled over
and next thing I knew Trey was on top of me and punching me in the face.

	I had no idea what to do. That's why when I was beat up the first
time I was knocked unconscious. Luckily this time I had friends around. The
pounding quickly stopped and when I looked up, Trey was holding his hand
over his mouth and nose. Macy was standing at my head.

	"You fucking bitch! You kicked me in the mouth!" Trey shouted.

	"You're lucky I didn't fucking knock your teeth out you little
shit!" Macy shouted back.

	Before she could get over me to beat the shit out of Trey some
more, someone took her down, it was none other than Hannah. But it wasn't
like when I was brought down. Macy was back up in a second and going to
town on Hannah's face. She was trying to hide but Macy wouldn't let that
happen. Hannah did start to fight back a little and got in a few good hits,
but Macy was easily winning. When I looked over at the rest of the group,
Emma and Jessie were going at it too. The other four guys, however, were
trying to separate them, Daniel and Kurt were trying to get Emma and Ricky
and the other guy were trying to get Jessie. It wasn't long before there
were security guards coming in from every angle and grabbing at all of
us. Daniel, Kurt, Ricky, and the other guy were free to go since they
evidently didn't fight, the rest of us were taken to the mall jail and had
to wait for our parents to pick us up.

	Unlike what I thought, the security guards were pretty nice to
us. They each gave us a turn to explain what happened. Thankfully Jessie,
Hannah, and Trey all told the truth as well so they decided they'd let us
go without any charges, they still wanted our parents to pick us up so we
could be punished by them and not completely get away with this.

	Macy's mom was highly upset with her, but I knew Macy would be off
the hook in a week or two. Jessie's mom and Hannah's mom were disappointed
but acted as if they knew this would happen. Trey's dad was furious with
him and was cussing up a storm when he got there, I think everyone was
scared he'd beat the shit out of Trey himself, but thankfully he didn't and
he was only grounded for forever, from what his dad said after he calmed
down a bit.

	When it was just me and Emma left, Emma broke down. She was crying
more than I've seen her cry before. She began to sob and tell me about how
she'd be in so much trouble with her parents. I knew they were strict, I
didn't know how strict though. When they came to pick her up, I could see
the fear in Emma's eyes. At first her dad started to yell at her in
chinese. Emma tried saying something in return but he wouldn't let
her. When he was finally done, Emma got up and followed him and his wife
out to the car. I think the worst part is that Emma's mom ignored Emma's
existence. I don't know if I could live if my mom ignored me.

	When my mom finally arrived, she was in tears. Seeing her in tears
caused me to start crying as well and we just stood there, hugging and
crying. I think the security guards thought we were strange or something
since my mom was called and told I was in a fight. Most parents would have
been furious, but I think my mom was scared something like last time would
happen.

	"I love you so much, baby. Please be careful. I don't want to lose
you."

	"Okay, Mommy. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said anything."

	"It's okay baby. You're grounded for a month though." She was still
sobbing though.

	"But mom..."

	"You got into a fight, just because I'm crying doesn't mean I'm not
upset with you.

	We soon left and got home. Waiting in the living room was my other
mom, Megan. She was far from sad when she saw me, I thought she was going
to beat the shit out of me. "What the fuck were you thinking!" She
shouted. "You can't go around starting fights, Spencer! You have your whole
life ahead of you and you could've just thrown it all away! What would you
have done if this ended up on your record!"

	"Megan, please leave him alone. You and I can scold him in the
morning. He's been through enough tonight."

	"Fine. But tomorrow you're going to wish you were in a coma when
I'm done with you." I actually was scared. Megan had always scared me but
tonight I saw an even scarier side of her.  I quickly ran up to my
room. When I got in, I began to cry. I was so pissed at myself. If only I
didn't say what I did to Trey...maybe all of that could have been dodged. I
soon slipped into sleep. I didn't know what life would be like this next
month but I was sure as well was scared.
