"Jesse! Follow me!" I turned, took three steps and dove into the
pool. I heard Jesse's' splash as I came up for air. I dove under again and
as I came up heard Dougs' voice say "Hey That looks great! Mind if I come
in?"
Jess motioned with his arm and said "C'mon!". Doug started removing
his clothes and looked at me. "Looks like you've recovered from your
breakdown, van Ryan!" He dropped his pants and dove in.
"Huh?" I said, pushing my wet hair out of my eyes. Doug surfaced,
laughing "Yep, word around school is that you had a nervous breakdown and
they took you to the Neuro-Psychiatric!"
"Oh, Fuckin' Great!!!! Now I'm going to be called 'psycho' by every
one! Shit!!" I complained loudly "I'm going to have a hard time living this
down!"
"Oh, I don't think you'll have to live it down" Doug said
smiling. "You've got half the Senior Class spooked outta their pants! Rumor
is that you've got some kinda' strange power. Had it ever since you we're
little. I guess we know what that rumor is all about, huh Andy?"
"Oh, NO!!" I said as my eyes looked towards the sky "Everyone is
going to know about the Prince now".
"I don't think that would be such bad thing" Doug reasoned "I mean,
no ones going to fuck with you when you're like that. They're afraid
to. Think about it".
"But I'm really snotty when I'm him. It's like I act really
egotistical!" I protested again.
"Yes, but it puts YOU in control of the situation. Besides, those
of us who know The Prince kinda' think it's cool to hang out with him, ah,
you I mean" Doug was sounding quite convincing.
"Well, I'll think about it.................." I replied.
"Hey this Pool is too cold!" Doug interrupted "You guys are crazy
to be swimmin' in it. I'm getting out!" "Me, too!" Jesse shivered. "Well I
ain't staying in here for my health!" I said and started for the pool
ladder. "You mean your MENTAL health!" Doug said and laughed at me. Jesse
shot me a quick glance as I pulled on my pants. He had a look on his face
like 'Oh Crap that was close!'.
"So Doug, what brings you this way before schools out?" I asked.
"I'm here on a Mission!" he said turning to face at us. "Jesse, put
your pants on!" he said and frowned. "Oh!" Jess said looking down at his
bare body. "I was going to get a towel first!"
Doug rolled his eyes and headed for the backdoor "I've got some
information about Les, Andy".
I chased him through the doorway and into the kitchen. "What? What
is it?" I asked as I followed him to the Fridge.
"They're in Hollywood, but they're not staying. They may go to San
Francisco, tonight. Eric wants to hitchhike to New York, but Les wants to
go join a band in Frisco".
"How did you find this out?" I asked. "Gilbert told me. Les called
him at lunch time, when Gilbert was home. He came and found me, so I could
tell you. You gotta swear, Andy. DON'T TELL ANYONE GILBERT TOLD ON LES! He
was real insistent about that, OK?"
"I know NOTHING!" I replied. "Good! I'm taking a beer to drink on
the way back to school. I got two more classes. I'll call you guys after I
get off work at 7:00" Doug said and turned toward the front door. "Jesse!
Put your fuckin' pants on, will ya? Geez, what an air head!" Doug shouted.
"Oh! Uh, I forgot 'cause I was listening to you!" Jess
explained. Doug just shook his head, laughing as he went out the door.
"Well, I must say, you look pretty silly standing there shivering!"
I said as I started laughing "Lets get you dried off and warmed up!"
He followed me down the hall. I took two big fluffy robes out of
the closet and said "Here, lets put these on". I turned to face him and to
my suprise, he was crying! "Jess, what is it?" I asked.
"I almost got us busted by Doug! I'm so stupid! It would have
ruined everything!" he cried.
"Hey Jesse" I spoke as I put my arms around him. "We didn't get
caught, we're still safe. We just gotta' be more careful, OK? Why the
tears?"
"'Cause I'm really happy with you living here and I almost ruined
it!" he began sobbing. I pulled him to me and tried to quiet him. We sat on
the edge of the bed and Jesse cried for almost five minutes straight. When
he finally could speak, he said "I'm so in love and so happy that I don't
think I could stand it if you couldn't be here with me. I'm scared to be
without you". I rocked him until he calmed down. Gazing at me he said "I'm
sorry for crying. You must think I'm stupid".
"Well I've always thought you were stupid!" I teased. "Oh. Andy!
Stop It!" he smiled and gave me a little nudge.
"Jess, I need to lay down" I said "Jumping in that cold pool gave
me a headache". "Yeah and you need to eat more, Andy. I'll make us
something" he said and started for the door "You want anything special?" he
asked.
"I've already got something special" I answered, getting beneath
the covers.
"God, I love you!" he remarked as he walked out the door. I glanced
at the clock. It was 2:06. Good, I thought. Enough time for a nap before
his Mom gets home at 4:30.
Jesse returned and found me sound asleep. "Hmmm. The dormouse is
asleep again" he whispered to himself. He decided to go watch TV and leave
me to rest.
I was awakened by the sound of drawers closing and rustling noises
in the room behind me. "Stop being so noisy and come get in bed with me" I
said, flipping open the covers to expose my naked backside. "Excuse ME?" a
woman's voice replied.
"AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!" I screamed, scrambling across the bed and
diving under the covers. I could hear Jesse laughing AND I could hear a
woman laughing as well.
Oh, God! What time was it? Did I just do what I think I
did? I poked my head out from under the covers. There was Mary, Jesse's
mom, looking at me and laughing so hard she was almost crying. Jesse was
rolling around on the floor, holding his sides and howling with
laughter. "Oh, no!" I said and flipped the covers back over my head. This
induced more laughter from the two. I wanted to retreat to the very bottom
of the bed. I heard Mary say "Andy, you can come out now". I didn't
move. "C'mon, it's OK. Andy, please come out! I promise we won't laugh any
more".
"Speak for yourself, Mom!" Jesse croaked and started howling
again. "Jesse! Stop that! Andy, come on now dear. Let me see your face"
Mary begged.
"no......." I whispered.
"C'mon, Andy. I brought you boys a present!" she offered. The lump
under the blankets wiggled a bit.
I poked just my nose out from my hiding place. "Present?......." I
asked.
"Yes, but you have to get up to come see it" Mary replied. I peeked
out, my eyes just barely exposed. "A present?" I repeated.
"Well, there you are!" Mary said holding out the robe I had
discarded earlier. "Yes! Now here's your robe. C'mon and get up. We'll wait
in the living room" she said and herded the still laughing Jesse out the
door. I sat still for a moment then realized how funny the situation
actually was. Now I began to laugh.
"We hear you!" Mary called from the front room. I slipped on the
robe and padded down the hall to meet them. As I reached the front room, I
stopped in my tracks.
"What is it?" I asked, looking at the three large boxes. "Come look
in the garage" Mary said and got up to lead the way. Reaching the door, she
stepped aside. Jesse said " Look, Andy! It's for us!"
Leaning against the garage wall was a King Sized mattress and box
spring set, still in the plastic wrap. "It's a bedroom set! But there's
something even better. She got us a stereo to go with it! Isn't that Cool!"
"Whoa!! Are you kidding me?! You got this for US!" I cried out.
"Yes I did Andy. It's a present for you and Jesse" Mary smiled and
leaned over, planting a kiss on my forehead. "Andy, you don't have to, but
I would like it if you called me Mom from now on, OK?"
I turned to look at her. She was smiling, waiting for me answer,
but I couldn't speak. My throat choked closed. So I reached out, putting my
arms around her. I hugged her tight and my tears came flooding out.
"Andy! Are you OK?" Mary asked hugging me back. "It's OK,
Mom. Andy's cried a lot this weekend" Jesse said "He's just like me, I told
you. He's just happy!".
"Is that right, Andy?" she asked. All I could do was nod and hug
tighter, eyes still closed.
Mary gently took hold one of my hands, Jesse quickly took the
other. She lead us back into the living room. We sat down together and I
curled up against Jesse's shoulder. "I guess you're feeling OK about me
knowing the two of you are gay, right?" she asked.
"Yes, but I was wondering why you're not mad at us" I said. "Well,
Andy, that's a very good question. I'm sure you were expecting me to react
like your own parents might react, true?" she replied.
"True......" I whispered.
"It's because I have a brother who's gay. He was treated very badly
by people when they found out about his sexuality. He was just a year older
than you boys are now when he was beat up the first time. By the time he
would have finished high school he'd been beaten four times, once so badly
he ended up in the Hospital. He didn't finish school because the courts put
him in Boys Detention Center until he was 21. He had to endure a real
living hell, Andy. All because he LOVED someone who LOVED him too. It was
by accident they were discovered. If my parents would have been
understanding and let them be who they were AT HOME, it wouldn't have
turned out that way" she recalled then added "I studied Homosexual behavior
at University and my Doctorate was written on the subject. You and Jesse
are gay because you were BORN this way. You didn't choose it. It's just the
way it is. I accept you as you are. I'm actually glad you boys were
introduced so you could get together. I know you've both been very lonely
growing up and............"
"Huh? Wait! We weren't introduced" I interupted.
"Oh well, actually, it was arranged for the two of you to meet" she
said. "Arranged?" Jesse frowned "By who?"
Mary looked thoughtfully at us. "OK, I think you should know this,
but Andy, don't tell her I told you, all right Hon?"
I nodded. "Your Grandmother arranged it" she said "Let me tell you
how it happened".
This was a shock! I sat up and gazed at Mary. I don't think I made
a sound, I just stared.
"When Jesse and I moved here last summer, your Grandma was about
the third person we met. I had gone to Main Street Market to buy a few
things. I was walking up one of the isles and your Grandma was coming the
other way. She looked at me and asked if I was new in town. She just
started a conversation. We were talking and Jesse walked up behind me. Your
Granny introduced herself to Jesse and talked to him for a few minutes
before Jesse excused himself and went to the bike shop, next door. As Jesse
walked out the front door, your Granny said 'Your Sons a 'Different' boy,
isn't he?' I was taken back a bit, but she looked at me and said 'I can
tell. My Grandsons the same way. About the same age, too. If you shop on
Main Street, you'll hear all about him! They call him the Prince of Main
Street in this town. When you see him, you'll know it'. I asked her why
they called you the Prince, but she just smiled and said 'I'll let the
Townsfolk tell you that story! Maybe your Son and Andrew should
meet. Andys' a rather lonely boy. Might be good for both of them, with this
being such a small town. Might help if they had each other. Andy goes to
the Boy Scout meetings at the high school on Monday evening. If Jesse would
like to meet him, just take him there. Nice to meet you Mrs.???' So I told
her my name and she excused herself to finish shopping.
As I finished Jesse met me at the checkout stand. I was going to
tell him about my talk with your Grandma, but before I could, Jesse said
'Hey! Look at that guy! Who IS that?!' The lady at the Market, Bess? She
looked where Jesse was pointing and said 'OHhhhhhhhhh! THAT is the Prince
of Main Street! You're going to hear a lot about him if you live in this
town'.
Jesse stared and I craned my neck to get a peek at you. I saw this
skinny boy with long blonde hair crossing the street. You had
this,...... this "Presence". It seemed to come from the way you walked and
held your head up and ..well, you just looked like a Prince! Jesse was in
awe. He said 'Did you see that, Mom? That guy just stopped traffic!' In
fact, all the cars coming down the street had stopped and the people inside
were staring at you. Jesse had continued on, saying 'And look! EVERYONE is
staring at him! Who'd you say he is?' Bess repeated 'He's the Prince of
Main Street! His full name is Andrew Simon van Ryan. He's youngest boy of
the oldest family in the town. That was his Grandmother you were talking to
in the second aisle'. Jesse asked Bess if you were a real Prince and she
said 'He is in this town! Every shopkeeper on the street knows him and he
has this strange power that............oh., well they say he's got
supernatural powers, but it's just a superstition!' We watched you cross
the street and walk up around the corner. You know, Andy. Every single
person you passed stopped, turned and watched you walk up the street 'till
you were out of sight!"
"Yeah, that happens a lot" I started giggling. "You DO like being
the Prince, I knew it!" Jesse poked at my sides, making me squirm.
"When we got out to the car, I asked Jesse if he'd like to meet
you" Mary continued.
"What did he say?" I quizzed her.
"He said No".
"WHAT?!" I cried, turning to look at the giggling boy behind me.
"Jesse thought you wouldn't like him" Mary replied "He figured you must be
the most popular boy in town. So I told him how your Granny said that you
were a very lonely boy, with no real friends. Jesse wondered about it in
silence all the way home. Later that day, he asked about you saying 'Do you
think he might be like me Mom? Could that be why he's lonely? Do you think
he likes boys? There is SOMETHING different about him'"
"I remember saying that!" Jesse chimed in. Mary smiled and
continued "I told him that unless he met you, he'd never know and if he DID
want to meet you, I knew were he could do just that. Jess hadn't got a good
look at your face, so he wasn't sure if he could recognize you at the
meeting" Mary was saying as Jesse interrupted
"I almost didn't! You were sitting on the floor holding your knees
together with your arms folded. Until you looked right at me I didn't think
you were. Then when you looked directly at me, I flipped out! Your face was
the EXACT face of the guy I dreamt of in my mind! I almost ran out to the
car to tell Mom, but you were staring as if you expected me to sit down and
talk to you".
"I WAS expecting you to talk to me!" I remarked "I don't know why,
but I remember looking into your eyes and thinking 'he's looking for me,
hey I'm over here!'. You walked right over and sat down".
"So Andy," Mary continued, "Jesse couldn't stop talking about you
from that night on. I knew he was falling in love. Then you came home from
school with Jess for the first time. Watching the two of you, I knew it
wouldn't be long before you realized you were in love with Jesse. I told
him to be patient and let you make the first move. Jesse already knew he
liked boys, but you didn't quite know what you wanted, Andy. I could see
you were scared of your feelings".
"You can say that again! And scared of my Dad finding out! He would
really flip!" I emphasized. "I know that" she said "It's the way a lot of
people feel about gay boys. I recalled what my brother went through as a
teenager. I thought about the boys at the Hospital. You see Andy, where I
work is in the Psychiatric ward. Some people are so terrible to their own
sons! We get boys sent there all the time just because they're gay! We tell
the families they're not mentally ill, they're born that way and most of
the time the families refuse to believe it!" she sighed "So I came up with
a plan. A plan so the two of you could be happy, safe and together. A plan
that would keep you and Jesse from ever being lonely again and to keep
anyone from becoming suspicious". Mary smiled again at the two wide-eyed
boys seated beside her.
"Now, there are going to be some rules you boys will have to keep,
otherwise you can't be together, OK?" Mary sounded very serious now.
"Rules?" we asked in tandem.
"Yes, rules!" Judging from Marys response our disappointment must
have been showing.
"First, no public displays of affection, like hugging or sitting
too close together. Things like that. OK?" We nodded our approval.
"Second, no "inside" jokes or sly remarks in front of
others. People aren't dumb. They'll catch on faster than you think they
will. No teasing in public as well. Thirdly, you have to appear to the
other kids as being 'normal'. So if you want to go to a movie or a school
dance for example, you have to find dates. GIRLS".
Hearing this, we both started to protest. "Mommmmmm!!!!! Jesse
whined. "EEwwwwww!!!!" I intoned as I wrinkled up my nose. "Really?" we
asked, again speaking in stereo.
"Yes, I'm sorry, but this part is VERY important. If you two don't
date girls, people will get suspicious quickly. Then the trouble would
start. I couldn't take it if one or both of you ended up in the hospital or
dead. It's that serious boys! So you have to promise me. You will go on
dates with girls, OK?"
I looked at Jesse and he looked back. We decided without having to
speak. "OK........ we will" I answered for both of us.
"And under NO circumstances let ANYONE else know! If someone asks
you, even if you trust them, SAY NO! Andy, this means even your Mother
can't know. I don't have to warn you about the rest of your family, do I?"
"What about my Grandmother?" I asked. Since she had suggested Jesse
and I meet, I expected she was OK with it.
"No, Andy. She knows, but she's uncomfortable with it. She wants
you boys to understand and not talk to her about it. I think you should
respect her wishes".
"She said a couple things to me on the phone today and you're
right, Mom. She was real uncomfortable, but she said she loves us to be
careful" Jesse told her.
"Well then, you heard it from her. She loves the two of you, but
she would prefer NOT to talk about it, OK?" Mary said to us.
"That's OK with me, I love her and wouldn't want to upset her" I
asserted. Jesse added "She got us together, so whatever she wants us to do,
we'll do!"
"Andy, dear?" Mary turned to me "Jesse told me Les and Eric ran
away. You're going to be staying with us all week, then?". "Yep, If you
don't mind, that is....." I was almost inviting myself.
"Of course it's all right! How's your family dealing with this,
Hon?" she asked.
"Well, my Father sounds OK, but Mom's ready to kick Les' butt!"
Jesse giggled at my remark.
"Hmmmmm... that's probably not the best way to deal with it. Did
they call the Police?" Mary asked.
"No, but Larry did" I answered. "Oh, well! Larry would! If you boys
want to see what's wrong with Eric, just look at Larry!" Marys remark sent
us to the floor with laughter.
"That's for sure!" we replied in stereo.
"What is this?" Mary demanded "have you two been practicing
answering in unison?"
"No........" we answered, doing it again The result was hysterical
laughter and the holding of sides.
"OK, let's get back to the subject" she stated "I would guess your
folks think they're protecting you from Les. I know he turns on you when
he's angry. Les is a case study in repressed feelings, Andy. He's a very
troubled boy. Part of my inviting you to stay here was so you could open up
and talk about how you feel. Anytime you want to talk about anything, you
just go ahead and speak up! Oh, which reminds me." Mary said and looked
directly at me.
"Andy, please don't take this wrong, Hon, but we're going to need
to work on that lisp of yours".
"Oh, YEAH!" Jesse and I shouted together as we jumped to our
feet. Mary looked at us like we'd lost our minds. Jesse spoke as I
positioned myself in front of them. "Listen to what we figured out!" Jesse
gestured at me and said "Take it away, Your Highness!"
Instantly, the Prince spoke.....
"Mrs. Dahlinger, your son Jesse pointed out something this
afternoon. While Andrew has a very pronounced speech impediment, I Do NOT!
However, this evidently has been overlooked my those around me until your
son noticed it today. Therefore, I believe in the future I shall have to
assume the duties of communicating for Andrew!" With that said, I took a
bow.
"Oh, my goodness Andrew! You sound wonderful!" she cried. Both
Jesse and Mary applauded me!
I smiled broadly and sat down, wiggling in behind Jesse. Mary was
still clapping.
"Oh, Andy, I'm in shock! I never noticed it before but you don't
lisp when you talk that way. Not at all! You sound like you might be
English or Irish maybe, but that's much better than having that lisp! I'm
so happy for you! You're too big now to have a lisp. The older you get the
more trouble it could cause you! That's so great, boys. See, you really can
help each other. This IS going to work out, I think!"
"Yeah, but I told my Dad I was going to have to stay here on
Thursday nights now" I said. Mary stared at me for a moment.
"I think I must have missed something" she said.
"Oh, I told my parents I wanted to take speech therapy and that
Jesse would help me with the exercises, but I would need to stay here one
extra night a week!" I told her.
"Well, you can stay here that extra night every week, but you WILL
practice. I won't have you lying to your Folks. If that's the deal you
made, that's the deal you'll keep, OK?"
"Oh, I really meant it about therapy classes. I'm going to go. I'm
actually getting tired of people calling me Slyvester".
I splattered the last word as I said it. Jesse looked at Mary,
trying hard not to giggle. It was too much for Mary. She couldn't help
herself and burst out laughing. Jesse followed suit, doubling over and
holding his stomach.
"Hey!" I snapped "I'm not trying to be funny!" This put the two of
them on the floor. I was turning bright red with embarrassment.
"Stop it!" I whined and put one of the big sofa pillows over my
head. The laughing became howls. I thought they were never going to stop!
After dinner we went to work. It took about an hour and a half to
get the bed set up. The dresser, end cabinets and the matching stereo
system took up almost the entire room. "Wow! Look at how big that bed is!"
I said to Jesse.
"You two are going to need a big bed. I've noticed you've gotten
taller in the last two months Andy" Mary remarked "We wouldn't want you to
end up with your feet sticking out. You have grown a little, haven't you?"
"I was only 5' 1" last April. My Mom has measured my height every
year on my birthday. She marks it on the wall. When I started school in
September the Coach said I measured 5' 7". That's an inch a month" I
replied. "Oh, shit!" Jesse swore. "You're probably going to be 6' 5" and
I'll still be 5'5". I'm gonna look like a shrimp..........." he trailed off
into his thoughts.
"OK, boys! It's time you were in bed! Remember, I'm getting you up
right at 6:00am!" Mary said and clapped her hands together. "Hurry up and
get to bed now! And DON'T stay awake! You need to sleep, so no fooling
around!"
"Mommmmmm! It's a new big bed!" Jesse whined. "And It'll be here
when you get home from school tomorrow!" Mary interupted him. She closed
the door behind her and we stripped off our clothes. I was first into
bed. The new sheets seemed rough on my naked skin. Jesse slipped under the
covers on his side. Laying next to me, he put his head on my chest. "This
is so cool! I love you, Andy!" Jesse whispered.
"I love you, the Prince loves you and we both love you!" I
giggled. We lay quiet for a few moments
"It seems like a whole new world now, Jesse. Everything is changing
so fast. The last week has turned my life over, under, sideways, and
down. If I didn't have you, I'd have gone crazy" I said softly.
"No, you wouldn't have gone crazy! You already are!" he giggled.
"I must be to get in a bed with you, Mr. Pervert!" I laughed.
"Boys! Go to Bed! It's Late!" Mary called.
"OK, let's not get her Mad at us!" I whispered. "Goodnight, Jesse"
"Goodnight, my boyfriend! I love you" he responded and kissed
me. We snuggled in together and within minutes drifted off to
sleep.............
The next morning I was kind of quiet. I wondered what the other
students would say about the events of the previous day. We didn't have to
wait long to find out.
After checking in at the office and getting our excuses approved,
We walked onto campus just as the bell rang. As the other students began
the trek to their classes, we were noticed. Others passed us with silent
stares, especially the seniors. "What's this about?" I asked Jesse. "I
don't know" he replied.
"I feel like we must be lepers or something!" he continued. My
stomach was starting to get tight when a familiar voice called from behind
us. "Hey, where you guys been?" it was Doug. He had his friend John Leith
with him. "Hey, Doug! What's happening?" I started. "You are Andy. You are!
The word is that you have "Strange Powers", boy! What do you say to that?"
Pulling myself up as straight as I could I answered "Well of course
I do" in the Princes best manner. John stopped "Whoa! Were did THAT voice
come from?"
"See!" Doug said "I told you it was true!" John had never
encountered me as the Prince. Doug knew the Prince from as far back as
second grade. Now Doug was getting a kick out of seeing people react. Jesse
asked "What's the word on campus? Are we being talked about?" "Oh, just a
lot!" Doug continued. "Andy, if you and Jesse work this right everybody
will do exactly what you tell 'em. They think you guys are into Voodoo or
something. But I set 'em straight."
"Oh, No! Not again!" Jesse and I moaned in tandem.
"I told them that you were born with it and that Jesse's the first
person you ever met that has it too" Doug continued with a grin "So, you're
the Supernatural Two, from now on. How bout it Prince? Could be a real
advantage for you!"
"Well, It's not exactly supernatural, but perhaps it could work for
us" I thought out loud. "Geez!" John exclaimed "That voice gives me the
willys! What happened to your real voice?" he said staring at me. "This IS
my real voice" I replied. John stepped behind Doug. Doug found this quite
funny and said "See? Being the Prince may be the best thing that ever
happened to you."
The rest of the day I was stared at as I walked from class to
class. Jesse and I only had English together during seventh period, so I
was on my own until then. I found it was fun trying out the Prince on my
unsuspecting teachers. Only my Drama teacher failed to notice. I reasoned
this was due to the fact that we were reading from a script and he probably
thought I was affecting an accent. The rest of my teachers looked at me in
ways that said they had heard the rumors already. Suprisingly, none spoke
directly to me about it.
In English when I was asked to stand and read aloud, the rest of
the class began to whisper. I silenced them all with one sweeping glare. I
paused, then continued the paragraph. I finished, closed my book and sat
down.
The teacher was silent and openmouthed. "Is there something else?"
I asked shaking her out of a daze. "Oh, ah.....Why, no Andy! That was
wonderful, thank you........" she stumbled her reply.
She was rattled by the change in my voice, in my attitude and in my
demeanor, not to mention my silencing the rest of the class. Jesse leaned
forward and whispered "That just got you a full point higher grade!".
Using the Prince as Andys voice was actually becoming fun! Maybe it
would work in my favor, I thought. I couldn't wait for classes to be
over. Doug had offered us a ride home and I wanted to hear what new rumors
he had heard.
"Aren't you the talk of the town!" Doug said as we approached his
car. "Get in. I'll give ya the details on the way". We hopped in and Doug
burned the tires exited the parking lot.
"I've been laughing my ass, off! You should hear all the rumors
about you! NOBODY can figure out how your voice changed. I set 'em straight
on that! Told 'em you could talk like that since you were little, which IS
true! I didn't have to make it up!" Doug announced, skidding through a
yellow light.
"I've heard every theory you could imagine! The best part is that
everyone is afraid to ask you about it. They don't want you mad at them in
case you DO have supernatural powers!" Doug started laughing.
"I think you're getting a bigger kick out of this than anyone else
Doug!" Jesse giggled. "You bet I am!" he replied "Serves 'em right for all
the years they picked on Andy".
This was something I had failed to consider. Never again being
'picked on' had great value. Additionally, keeping people a little distant
from Jesse and I would make it much harder for them to figure out our
secret he sped away. "I'll race you to bed!" Jesse smiled at me. "I've been
thinking about it all day!"
We were off like the wind. Jesse fumbled the key in the door,
finally getting it open. I sped past him, tearing off my shirt. Down the
hall and onto the bed I ran. Jesse landed on top of me and pulled at my
jeans. "I've been so horny, listening to you talk like that! Good thing the
teacher didn't ask me to stand up and read. I had a hard-on that wouldn't
quit!"
"You still have one!" I exclaimed pulling his fly open. We wiggled
out of the rest of our clothes and started kissing and feeling each others
cocks. "Go down on me, Jesse!" I commanded in the Princes voice. It's
effect on Jesse was immediate.
He took my hardened rod in his mouth and began to work it in and
out. "Let me at your cock! I want you!" I commanded. He complied by turning
in our favorite "69" position. I sucked him in and began rolling my tongue
around the head of his swollen cock. He grabbed the base of mine with his
hand and began jacking me off while he sucked. I grabbed his ass cheeks in
my hands and I massaged his tight little butt.
I felt his orgasm begin to issue forth from deep within. My
response was to fill his mouth with the first cum shot of the afternoon. I
pumped each spurt, feeling a jolt through my legs.
He responded with shot upon shot of his hot cum, firing into my
mouth.
He tasted so good to me that I barely gave him time to recover
before shoving my mouth up and down over his shaft again. He did likewise
and before long both came again, each filling the others greedy mouth with
white love.
He and I alternated kissing and making out with sucking each other
off for over three hours. If the phone had not rang, I'm sure we would have
continued 'till comatose.
Jess ran to the phone and answered "Hello? ......Oh, yes, he's
here......" I heard him. "Andy! It's your Grandma!" he called.
I bounded out of bed and ran naked down the hall. "Hi, Grandma!
What's up?" I answered. "Hi, Andy" she began "I just thought I'd let you
know that the Police picked up Les and Eric. They're in San Bernadino. So,
they're going to be there until Larry goes to get them tomorrow. Just
thought you should know, Hon".
"Oh, OK. Does Dad know yet?" I asked. "Yes Andy. How are you boys
doing?" She asked me.
"We got homework to do. Then we're going to practice some new songs" I
replied. "OK!" she replied "You boys take care now. Goodnight!"
I hung up and frowned. "Goodnight?" I said looking at Jesse. I
peeked through the kitchen window and indeed, it was almost dark. "C'mon
race you back to bed!" he shouted. We spent the rest of the evening in our
new bed, listening to our stereo and talking about our future. In-between
some lovemaking, of course.
That Thursday I started speech therapy which replaced my eighth
period gym class. I explained to the therapist how I had developed the
Princes voice and demonstrated it to him. He thought it was a good
start. With practice I would become less self conscious about speaking he
asserted.
The hardest times in the following weeks were those days I stayed
at my parents. I only spent Monday night through Wednesday night there. I
thought of being with Jesse the whole time. Being away from him made me
sad. To my family I still appeared a lonely boy. I knew different.
When each Thursday afternoon rolled around, Jess and I couldn't
wait to get home. We'd run straight to our bedroom and spend hours making
love, each telling other how much we'd missed them.
We kept practicing music on weekends, getting better as the
weeks past. Jesse helped as I practiced the Princes voice. I was soon
speaking that way all the time, without thinking about it.
At school we viewed with some suspicion, but some of the guys liked
hanging around us ( I think they liked the way the Prince would say
outrageous things and get away with it!).
I found myself becoming popular! Jesse loved this new attention. He
started affecting a bit of a "Princely" attitude in his voice. It only
added to the growing 'mystery'.
Days became Weeks and Weeks became Months. 1967 gave way to
1968. Jesse and I spent most of Christmas vacation and New Years
together. My parents took us to our second home in Skyforest one weekend.
We shared the downstairs bedroom, but behaved ourselves (mostly out of
fear!).
Time seemed to fly and before long Spring arrived. We accompanied
Mary to a beach house she rented for the Easter week vacation. My life was
about to change again.........
