Pride And Love  A New Beginning Chapter 10


Heath woke up at 6:05 well rested from a nights sleep unlike any that he
had had in quite some time. He sprang out of bed and headed for the
bathroom. He took his shower and did his morning ministrations and was back
in the bedroom to wake Tim at 6:30.

Tim was half asleep while he walked to the bathroom. He was not that good
an early riser but he did clean up very well. He took his shower and headed
back to the bedroom to find that Heath had already dressed and was
downstairs and most likely making breakfast.  Tim dressed quickly and ran
down to the kitchen where he found Heath had made breakfast and was already
eating.  Tim said " good morning you sure are ready for this day. "

Heath told Tim after that get together last night with Daniel and his
friends that he has never felt better since Jeremy died. He was thinking
that if he did not hang onto Jeremy he would just be forgotten. He was not
aware that Jeremy was loved by so many people. He looked at Tim and he told
him that he was ready to concentrate on his relationship with him.

Tim smiled and knew that even with Jeremy always going to be floating in
the back of Heath's mind that he was finally willing to commit to the
relationship that the two of them now would be able to share openly with
each other.

Tim asked Heath " are you ready to go. "

Heath said " In about two minutes as soon as I clean these last few
dishes. "

Tim chuckled and said " you know you are going to make some one a very
lucky man. "

Heath turned and reached down grabbed his groin and said" baby wait till
tonight when I show you just how lucky you are going to be. "

Tim laughed and said " let's go or we will be late ."

The boys picked up all there school stuff and headed for the door. Tim ran
out to the car and opened it so they could both get in and then started it
so it would warm up a little before they left. They backed out of the drive
and were on their way for the second day of school. When they arrived they
found a place to park and got out and started to walk towards the front
doors of the school. They were surprised to see very few people
outside. They entered the school and were met by Daniel.

Daniel said I guess you have not heard.

Heath said " heard what ? "

Daniel told them both that the police had made seven arrests in the their
investigation into the death of Jeremy. The word was that they were
charging them all with sexual assault, personnel injury with intent to do
harm. They arrested Sterling for sexual assault, personnel injury with the
intent to harm and premeditated murder. Daniel told them that his dad was a
lawyer and it was not uncommon to charge them with several charges knowing
that more than likely only one charge would stick. He smiled and said. "
they got those bastards, and now their going to pay. "

Heath looked at Tim and said " this started out to be a good day, with this
news it is going to be a great day. "

The whole school was buzzing with the news. Every where Heath went people
were saying " I hope they lock them up and throw away the key. " The PA
system crackled and came to life with an announcement that there would be
an assembly at 2:00 after which the school day would come to a close. The
day flew by and at 2:00 everyone headed for the gym. The principal was
standing in the middle on the floor and asked everyone to please be
quiet. The gym got quiet and the principal started by saying that he was
glad that everyone showed up. He followed that with a statement that the
police had made arrests in the case surrounding Jeremy's { he really said
one of our students death } and that he was happy that all the students
took the time to talk to and collect as much information as they did in
helping the police in this investigation. He expressed his hope that the
school would continue to lead the district in helping gay and troubled
students to cope with any and all problems that they may have. Finally he
said " that anyone interested in helping in this matter that they should
see the president of the STUDENTS WITH PROBLEMS club president " and called
called Daniel down to the floor.

Daniel asked for quiet and said that he was proud to take control of this
project and was looking for anyone that was willing to help. He asked every
one to stand and take a moment of silence for their fallen students. He
then had two students caring something out and said " that a group of
students had gotten together and had this portrait made and it will be
mounted over the door of the room that would be renumbered # 1113
commemorating our love for our fallen students Anyone wanting to be part on
this, please come to room 1113 and sign up.  Thanks to all of you we will
make our school a place of safety and a leading school in the fight against
unfair practices against students with different outlooks.

The principal came back up and thanked Daniel and all the students and said
that anyone was welcome to stay on but the actual school day was over. he
was very surprised to see that very few students got up and left. They
milled around and talked to each other and a large crowd met around Heath
and Tim as well as a large group around Daniel. The time got to be about 4:
00 and there were still about 100 students there. Heath and Tim were the
first to sign up to join the club followed by quite a few other students
both male and female. the student started to dwindle to just a couple and
then they were all gone except for Daniel, Heath and Tim.

Daniel said " I was really surprised that that many people signed up
today. "

Tim said " I think that they were all so shocked to find out what had
happened to Jeremy that they wanted to put a stop to all the hatred and
bring some peace back to our school. " You know that this will also stop
all the bullying in the school and the terror some groups of kids try to
enforce on others. This is really going to turn this school around and make
it a real easy place to come to.

Daniel said that there was something that he had been wanting to say to
both Tim and Heath for a little while now. He looked like he was having a
hard time trying to find the words, but then said " I guess that Jeremy was
the only one that thought or maybe knew but just for the record I want you
two to know that I am Bi and I had a crush on Jeremy for years. I was
afraid that he would not want me and so I never acted on my feelings. I
think back now and say to myself that I should have said something and if
he turned me down it would have hurt a little but he would have still been
the same old Jeremy.  Well I really need to get home. I will see you guys
tomorrow. Daniel headed out the door and was gone in minutes.

Tim said " heath I think we should go also. "  We have to get home before
mom and dad send out the RCMP looking for us. He pulled Heath into a hug
and said " you see everyone loved and misses Jeremy. "

Heath looked at Tim and said " I really did not know that Jeremy made such
an impact on so many people. I thought that he was just my hot boyfriend. I
realize now that he was so much more. I guess it is true. I guess you are
remembered not by how much you love but by how much you are loved. I can
see now the he was a very rich.

They walked out to the car and got in they sat and talked while the car
warmed up and then they started for home. They were both very proud of what
had taken place at the school today and were really surprised that Daniel
had gone through some much to make this club work. They were also impressed
with the number of students that had willingly given their time to not only
see the club get started but the ones that made sure that they talked to
the police during the investigation.

They got home and went inside and found mom and dad in the kitchen making
dinner. They were busy with frying chicken and dad was making mashed
potatoes. Mom told the boys to go wash up that dinner would be ready in a
couple minutes. They all sat down to dinner and they finished and Heath and
Tim told mom that they would clean up the kitchen. when the dishes were all
done and put away the boys went into the family room and told mom and dad
that they were headed upstairs to do the homework.

Mom and dad both said good night.

Tim and Heath went up and started their home work and were busy getting it
done when Mom called up and asked Tim to come down.

Tim went down and mom said " there is a young man at the door that wants to
talk to you. " He answered the door and there stood a young boy that looked
to be 13. He said " Come in " When he got inside Tim asked what was up.

The young boy asked if he could talk in private.

Tim told mom and dad that they were going upstairs and asked the young boy
to follow him.  They got to the bedroom door and Tim waved the boy in.

He looked and saw Heath there and said maybe he should come back later.

Tim said " this is my boyfriend and we live here together anything you have
to say you can say in front of Heath as well.

The young boy started out by saying that his name was Colin Walker, he was
a freshman at the school and he has had some run ins with several students
that are trying to get him to do sexual things to them. He said that he
thinks he is gay but is not sure. He is afraid that if he does what they
are telling him to do that he will have to do it every time they say.

Heath got up and walked over to Colin and said do you know these boys.

Colin said " no "

Heath said that he would meet him at the front doors tomorrow and they
would see what they could do to put a stop to it. You can also see and talk
to Daniel. He was a really cool guy. They would introduce him to Daniel in
the morning.

Colin said " thanks I knew I could depend on you two to help me and he
stood and walked over to heath and pulled him into a hug that almost
squeezed the stuffing out of him and then did the same to Tim.

Tim took Colin back downstairs and said " see you in the morning. "  He
headed back upstairs and finsihed his homework and got into bed. Heath
finished up as well and got in to bed.

Heath looked over at Tim and said " are you ready for what I promised you
this morning. "

Tim said I would like to but I am worried about Colin and I don't think
that you would enjoy it all that much, He smiled and asked can I get a rain
check for tomorrow.

Heath said you can have a rain check for anytime you want. he looked at Tim
and said " I have to tell you that I love You Very Much .

Tim smiled back and said " I know that and I think that I am a very lucky
guy to be able to have you as my boyfriend, and by the way I Love You as
well.

They both cuddled next to each other and after kissing each other good
night that settled in for a good nights sleep. knowing that tomorrow would
be a very busy day for the both of them if they wanted to get this Colin
think straightened out. They both fell asleep quite quickly.
